5/08 / 259.0 / Here we go! I was so down about my last round that I decided to see how much I'd stalled out in my weight loss over the entirety of this attempt (from Jan. 16th). I thought, surely, with the time I spent out of state, my mother's death, and this past round I must be at least 5 pounds behind my "two pounds a week" goal. Shocker. No. I am still ahead, having lost more than two pounds a week on average. I know weight loss starts with water weight but it helped put the wind back in my sails.
5/09 / 258.0 / I have never really looked at my macros. I just count calories. By coincidence, my fat calories were high, protein was just below target and carbs were way low. You Keto people know where I’m going with this, right? I.Wasn’t.Hungry.
5/10 / 256.8 / Thank goodness.
5/11 / 256.4 /
5/12 / 256.6 / My daughter made dinner, something she knew would be okay for me to eat. She cannot help but use salt liberally.
5/13 / 256.4 / Happy Mother’s Day to all good mothers!
5/14 / 256.4 /
5/15 / 256.4 / Ugh. UGH!

@puddlegoober I have missed you in my absence! I love Panda Express but everything there - even the mixed veggies - seems to be carby. There is corn starch and/or sugar in all of the sauces. I was grossed out by the veggies once when there were gooey white globs between the broccoli florets. My husband’s favorite item is orange chicken - breaded, fried, slathered in sugary sauce - so good for you - NOT!
@benczean and @allmannerofthings I have found that it takes 2-3 days for my weight to settle after an “error.” Be patient, learn your body’s patterns.3 -

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
5/13 137 I’m so proud that I did 10 days with no scale, unlimited food and even had a carb loaded day and maintained!
5/14 137.5 Expected, body needs to reacclimate to being on home turf. While we were gone it took almost a week for my system to adjust. This was much easier when I was younger!
5/15 138.0 When I stepped on the scale it said “LO.” I wish! Had to find and change batteries but all is good now. I thought I had a belly ache when I got up this morning but I have just realized it is my ABS! My daughter posted a 2 week workout challenge in a small group and I am participating. Yesterday was abs day!7 -

This is my first round. I Started dieting last may lost 22 kg before desember. Then I stopped logging. Didnt gain before easter. And then I guess I just thought hey I have masterd this I can just eat without thinking because now I know what is enough. But I guess I was thinking more about what I was eating before easter because 5 kg jumped on so I am back to logging.

5/08 Fitbit steps- 11,300, 67 minutes of exercise. eating lots of vegetables, eating healthy!
5/09 - working hard to be strong, had a great day yesterday, had swelling from my head going to my toes. Keep going!
5/10 - tracking my food I thought I ate good, but I realized my sodium was up. Still had lots of vegetables.
5/11 - Fitbit steps-8,500 My eating was not as good as usual as far as vegetables, had to remind myself why I had surgery. I eat healthier when I make it myself. I keep telling myself how good I`m doing and every day I have a new challenge. Keep positive!
5/12 - I am so lucky I eat my foods to help me heal. Chicken, lots of vegetables, fruit and water. Back to the doctors today the start of bronchitis, I can not believe all the virus I keep catching!
5/13- Going to push harder, for exercise this week. I need to focus on me.
5/14 Enjoying the sunshine today! Starting to get stronger again. Eating healthy!
5/15- Eating a lot of vegetables, and fruits. Sodium and sugar are both good! When I cook instead of going out to eat.8 -

Starting weight: 503.2
Starting weight this round: 503.2
Goal weight overall: 199.0
Goal this round: 495.0
5/08: 503.2- Highest I have ever weighed. I am hopeful with this new plan I am going to be doing. I'm also excited to join this forum for accountability.
5/09: 501.8- I could have done a lot better. Today is a new day and I will continue to push forward but do even better than I did yesterday.
5/10 500.8- I think I am being a bit too hard on myself while wishing I had lost more than just a pound. I did so good yesterday and I am proud of myself for that. Let's do great again today!
5/11 500.6- I know exactly what happened- I did amazing all day long yesterday but for some reason right before I was about to go to sleep, I got so hungry. I ate over my calories by almost 900. It was healthy food but still, calories are calories. I'm ok with todays weigh in.
5/12 498.2- I’m very happy with this because I tried hard. This just proves I’m able to live a life I’m use to while losing weight. I went out to eat but counted calories and made sure not to go over.
5/13 No weigh in today because I only slept 3 hours. Plus I overate last night big time. Regret sunk in after it happened. It’s a vicious cycle having an eating disorder. Anyways, Happy Mother’s Day.
5/14 500.6- I wasn’t able to weigh myself yesterday and I let myself go a bit. Mother’s Day has always been a hard one for me. This just shows how quickly I can put on weight when I don’t pay attention to the scale or the food I’m putting in my mouth. I took an active decision to get back on track today. No weigh in tomorrow because I won’t be home tonight or tomorrow. Going swimming today!
5/15 No weigh in today because I wasn’t home. I spent the night with my girlfriends family and I had such a wonderful time. Swimming, a bonfire, a ton of laughs. This included the wrong types of food and no calorie counting. Tomorrow will be scary on the scale because I gain weight rather easily.

5/08 -- 190.4 I know that I've been comfortably within plan, so this isn't bothering me. I'm just sitting patiently waiting for my whoosh.
5/09 -- 189.2 And there it is! I hope the bounce back isn't too bad this time; that's what really flattened me last round (no, it was nothing to do with toffee pecan ice cream, why do you ask?!)
5/10 -- 188.2 Finally back on track. I hope that my numbers drop for a few days more before I hit bounce back.
5/11 -- 187.2 The irony is that I'm not doing anything different from last round, when I struggled to hold even. This weight loss business is a long game.
5/12 -- 185.6 I've now passed my "I will *never* let myself get this heavy again" top weight from 2013. Onwards. I expect the bounce-back to start any day.
5/13 -- 185.2 Whoosh is slowing down, which is fine with me. I'm starting to get nervous about how big the bounce back is going to be. I've had a really good run.
5/14 -- 184.8 Chugging along.
5/15 -- 186.0 And there's my bounce-back. Really hope that this is all of it.
5/16 -- 185.6 Is it too much to hope that I'm finished bouncing back? Even if I creep up slightly from here, I'm counting this round as a win.

Yesterday I ate a little more than I should because of being with my cousins. When I'm with someone or busy it's hard chose what I eat...
5/09 82 kg (180.7 lbs)
Yesterday was good actually. I walked a lot (about 13-14K) and didn't pass calorie limit. However, I just ate sandwiches, because I hadn't enough time to eat proper things... And also after 2 weeks, I swam and it's the first time I swam this much. I hope that tomorrow's weight will be less.
5/10 81.5 kg (179.6 lbs)
Yay! Yesterday was good. I overate at breakfast but did better after that and was below the calorie limit and also I walked 10k (steps).
5/11 81.5 kg (179.6 lbs)
I was doing great until dinner... I was out with family again and drink a small beer (33 cl) and a white wine. At least I ate salad with them, right? It's really hard to me, going out and not drink alcohol... Still, I was below the calorie limit and walked 10k steps.

Yesterday I didn't log and wrote here. I ended up with my 4-year-old relationship and drank a little and gave up a little. But I'm back and I continue.
5/15 80.6 kg (177.7 lbs)
I'm not sure how did this happen. Because yesterday I binged chocolate and cheesecake a little. But I didn't eat anything after that. I'm not sure how much calories I took. I hope this break up gives me weight loss no more binges.
5/16 81 kg (178.5 lbs)
Not sure which was water, the lost or the gain... Yesterday was not bad, but dinner was kinda late and might contain so much sodium not sure, but I drank lots of water.

Two weekends away - work team building one weekend and just back from daughters wedding in Wales. Not been too bad but not weighed in for over a week and have indulged in good food and wine - especially at the wedding - such a social weekend as so many people stayed over - was wonderful but now back to reality! Friends wedding in June and then Sons wedding in July so plenty of reason to stay on track and focused!
5/14 - Will weigh in tomorrow morning and plan to get back in the game and finish the end of this round ready to attack round 41! Now off to read the posts and catch up with where everyone is!
5/15 - 139.90lb - the damage could have been so much worse after two weekends away and no tracking at all so not upset about the gain - had worse over a single weekend on ocassions! Pleased to still be under the 140lb mark. Back to plan and gym tonight too. Aim to lose some of the water gain and bloat before the round end ready to go again in round 41
5/16 - 137.90lb - wow. Happy with this if no bounce back as almost back to where I started pre all my weekends away! will be nice to know that I can "mentally" track food and not massively over indulge without logging everything into MFP. Hopeful for a good finish to the round then on to loose a few more pounds over the coming rounds

SW: 313.8 GW: 308.0 Ultimate Goal Weight: 190
Day/Weight/Comment
5/08 313.8 (-0.0) (My doctor is having me move to a low carb diet between 20 and 50 carbs. I've done it once before with success but then found my way back to white flour, sugar, and all of the other crap that seeps into my food choices. I'm looking forward to planning, focusing and dropping some weight. Would definitely appreciate any tips other low carb/keto folks have found useful.)
5/09 312.6 (-1.2) (First full day focused on low carb diet. Managed well. Not focusing on what I can't eat but rather on what I can enjoy.)
5/10 311.2 (-2.6) (Having done low carb before I know I'm going to hit a point where meat and protein doesn't sound appetizing and I just want a donut......focusing on planning, spacing out meals and making sure I'm focused on why I want to lose weight instead of just the task of losing weight.)
5/11 311.0 (-2.8) (Field trip day with the 1st grade. Took my carb-less foods for lunch. Found myself less hungry than I thought I would be. Got my 10k steps before we got home. Next big challenge will be this weekend at home with kids. Make good choices -- remember why this path is my focus.)
5/12 309.8 (-4.0) (Ah, Saturday at home. Dinner out with the family tonight and my parents for Mothers Day. The day is fraught with challenges to sabotage my low carb plan. Choice by choice, plan ahead for dinner with menu online, stay away from bread......so much easier to type than to do.)
5/13 307.6 (-6.2) (Survived Saturday. Dinner at a nice restaurant, reviewed the menu online, chose my meal before I went, even logged it into MFP. Didn't eat the bread, didn't look at dessert. Focused on the people and the conversations. There is hope. Sunday beckons.......)
5/14 306.6 (-7.2) (Survived Sunday. Carb landmines at every turn but I managed to avoid them and stay on plan. Feels satisfying to keep focused and realize I can stick to something. It has been one week following a <20g net carb plan. I'm up for a second week....Hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead)
5/15 306.6 (-7.2) (Good Monday. I'm sure a lot of my first week loss was water adjusting. Sticking to the plan, making new recipes that follow keto principles. Got all my steps in yesterday. Come on Tuesday, let's go)
5/16 306.6 (-7.2) (A little bit of a lull. Staying the course because I know this will work. Tomorrow is the last day of this challenge -- keep it going everyone.)

Round 40/My Round 1
SW- 172
Round 40 GW- 170
Ultimate GW- 155
Day/Weight/Comment
5/08: 172.0; stayed within my calorie goal and exercised! Carbs were a little high though
5/09: 170.6; hip hop Zumba yesterday killed me! Stayed within my calorie goal and drank lots of water. Also was able to avoid the temptation of Carby snacks in the teachers lounge. Hooray for NSV!
5/10: 170.6; I’m just happy I didn’t gain! Did T25 in the morning and drank all my water. Went out to eat for dinner and had a very hard time trying to find something within my calorie limit and was pressured (not really lol) to have a beer. NSV: got a lite beer and only drank half and saved half my meal for lunch the next day
5/11; 170.8; didn’t want to see the scale go up but it’s not too bad. Stayed under my calorie goal yesterday and met my minimum water goal. I did drink more caffeine than usual and sat majority of the work day. NSV: I didn’t dip into the candy bowl or go across the mall get pretzels at work!
5/12: 170.8; shocked to see this number stay the same because I over indulged last night. I had pizza, lite beer, chips, and those hard seltzer water things and thought for sure I’d see a 1lb gain. Maybe tomorrow but today I’m happy about maintaining. NSV: I only ate 2 pieces of pizza instead of my usual 3-4!
5/13: 171.6; I knew it would rise! I stayed under my calorie goal but with high sodium foods, dairy, and carbs. And I didn’t get all my water in. It’s all good tho, it will come off. NSV: I am officially one pant size smaller.
5/14: 170.2; Happy that the water weight came off. Stayed under my calorie limit yesterday only because I was very busy all day but I didn’t make the healthiest choices and didn’t drink all my water. NSV: I skipped the fries at the drive thru and only got a sandwich (progress not perfection right lol)
5/15: 170.6; I haven’t meal prepped yet so I was not prepared to eat healthy. I tried to make wise choices when picking a frozen meal for lunch but of course it still lots of sodium and preservatives. I also went to the movies and had a big bag of popcorn with no butter! Luckily I drank all of my water so hopefully I can stay on top of that today and not see the weight gain from all the salt tomorrow.
5/16: 169.8; stayed close to my calorie goal, drank all my water, and did T25. Ending this challenge with some good habits!

5/09—at Conference
5/10—155.8. I knew I would be up, so today is a new start date of sorts for me. I’ve been taking a break for a couple weeks really, what with a camping trip with grandkids and then this conference with lots of great food. Time to get back to basics, get past the cravings that will come after the last few days of eating carbs, and start the trend going back down.
5/11 = 153.8 That’s a step in the right direction! Now to keep going back down.
5/12 = 152.4 YAY!
5/13 = 151.8
5/14 = 151.8
5/15 = 153
5/16 = 153.4 Sodium, I think. Calories were fine the last two days, but there was some extra sodium in the restaurant food I ate.
