I do not think that I believe in romantic love of my life type love.

    Romance is the worst

But combine and with pizza and coke, not too bad, right?

    What kind of coke?

    Coke coke

Then no, it’s not too bad. But what movie are we watching?

    Romance of the Heart
with James Garner and Sally Field

    Or Romancing the Stone

    God dammit

    But.. but...

    I'll have fruit rollups, too!

    ....

Make it cotton candy and we can do a Nicholas Sparks movie marathon

    Love...
When you fall for someone's heart not for body...money....car or materialistic things

When that one person stays in your thoughts even if you move on to something else

When the only thing that matters to you is smile on the face of the person you have fallen for

When you are brave enough to let that person go for the happiness if the one you love.

    Stay Strong!

That’s okay, I’ll still hang with you
  • Love is giving the person the last bite of brownie and them saying “no you have it”.

    Truth.

Love is when you come home, put everything down on the kitchen table and -- without a word -- she knows to bury all of it in and not tell the cops anything. <3

To me, it's the all night conversations that end when one of you falls asleep. It's the "good morning" texts to each other that make you smile and feel warm inside. It's making sure the other has eaten and is not hungry. Dropping off a lunch when one has time. Communication doesn't become an obligation, it's freely given. Driving across town when one is in tears just so hugs are given and care is shown. Waking up early to share breakfast or sleeping in together. Having inside jokes that only the two of you understand. Knowing when to listen and when to speak. Remembering the little details of the person you're so enamored with. How they like their coffee, what their favorite color is, remembering their birth date and knowing that onions are the devil. Being considerate and watching something they would enjoy even if it really isn't your cup of tea. It's give and take. Helping with cooking, dishes, laundry, cleaning because doing it together makes it fun and bearable. Sharing your secrets and guess what, they are still there to stand by your side. Seeing their face everyday and loving it that much more because it becomes more beautiful as the days go by. Prioritizing the other's happiness and well-being. Trusting and being trusted. Living with someone, engaging in their life, participating in their happiness, picking them up when the fall and choosing never to walk away. It is so many different things/actions/thoughts/words to different people. Like someone said, you will know. I'm not sure I've ever experienced it fully myself. Perhaps I will know some day as well.

Being kind to people even if they might not deserve it. Not talking badly about people except to them constructively. Smiling at people. Treating people(genuinely) the way you’d like to be treated

The feeling of love is the smallest passive part of it all. What matters is the action you take to honor it. It is the daily commitment, no matter what else distracts you from that person, to say to yourself and them again, I am with you and I put you above everything. It is understanding and accepting them without expectations of being different, more, or something else, and being there to support and encourage them in being everything that is. It is being able to see their brokenness and faults through kind, understanding eyes. Most the time it is less about warmth, excitement, tingles, and declarations, but about knowing someone sees you for you, all the good and bad, and chose you that day. It is what builds a person up, and how you build them up.

Love isn't seeking recognition for the good thoughtful things you do, but doing them because you mean it and want to do it.

Know you would always put that persons needs above yours and that they would do the same for you. Makes going through a narrow door together awkward at times.

So why don't you take the dog home?

I recently read some letters my grandpa sent my grandma while he was away during the war. The way he spoke to her and reassured her while she was at home alone expecting their first child.. it was beautiful.
