    OK guys, count me in.
    Maureen- 45
    Starting weight: 154.4lbs
    Goal by December 31:135lbs
Overall goal: 125-130lbs (range but toned is the ultimate goal)

Please tell me how this works.

    Welcome @NYCDutchess !
    1. You can check First Page for some info...
    2. You can weigh once a week
    3. Make whatever timing will help you the most. (I set monthly goals. Post when I lose and check off each goal as I pass it)
    4. The group creator posted his exercise schedule.

Molly nailed it. It's just a group to share your successes and failures and get some input and encouragement from others if you like. No rules. Glad you joined us.

And WELCOME to all the new folks. I've had a bad couple of weeks vis-a-vis sticking to my program, but I'm back on track today.

    What is your end objective?

For me, I'm focusing on reducing body fat, and some weight.
If I get down to the body fat level (and lean muscle mass) that I want (low 20 or high teens), and my weight says that I haven't lost a pound, or even gained some weight, I'd be ok with that.
Because I'll still look better with that weight with less body fat.

So I don't have a set number for my weight.
I'm just trying to keep going down until I'm happy with the body fat %.

    Good question!

I have a few. One is for scale weight, and maybe I have the wrong goal there. My initial objective was about 150 pounds. I revised that down, and maybe that was my mistake. I know the lower range is attainable, but as I have read about other topics, it may not be sustainable. I'm in the healthy BMI range (22.9 - 23.7 lately), so that's a success since it was as high as 26.9 at one point

Other goals focus on body fat, strength, and fitness. I have a scale with bioelectrical impedance, but I don't really trust the numbers. That scale is failing, and the one I bought to replace it gives very different numbers for all parameters, so I may swap the new one out for one that's more consistent with the old one. I've had a slow, steady decrease in body fat; that's another success. I take summers off from the gym because of other physical activities. I will get back to strength work around equinox.

The No Late Night Snack Challenge is really helping me this time.
I used to blow all the good/hard work at night when I'd aimlessly eat hundreds of calories.
But my current streak of no LNS is 18 days, and counting.

    Starting weight - 249.5 - March 2017
    Lowest weight - 202 - December 2017
Goal weight 183 (planned maintenance range 180-186)

6/29/18 - 208.5 - Making a fresh start for Onederland after Independence Day.
7/6/18 - 209.5 - A little temporary gain from the holiday carb fest. Here we go!
7/12/18 - 210.5 - Arrggghhhh! The bad news - the scale is going the wrong way. The good news - I'm getting my workouts in - lifting numbers are going up - I'm staying under my calorie target. Next week will be better.
7/26/18 - 209 - slowly moving in the right direction. Lifting numbers still going up. Getting most of the workouts in. Logging all the food - looks like I should lower the calorie target just a bit.

8/2/18 - 209 - turns out yesterday's whoosh was just a tease. DAMMIT! Oh, well - maintenance is good. Ate Tex-Mex in a restaurant last night. I probably should be pleased with a flat line. HAHA! :)
8/9/18 - 207.5 - Great - some progress, finally. And I saw 206 again earlier in the week. Onward and downward!
8/16/18 - 208 - AARRGGHH! - Getting frustrated here. I keep telling myself "Maintenance is good. You're not gaining. LIfting numbers are still going up." Regardless, I'd like to see some slow weight loss - just not this slow. HAHA! :D
8/23/2018 - 205 - Holy whoosh, Batman! And I saw 204 earlier in the week. Finally some progress! YAY!
8/30/2018 - 204.5 - I'll take it! Not my best week, program wise. I am happy to see a small loss. Onward and downward!

9/6/2018 - 206.5 - Been skipping some workouts and walking and also eating more. No surprise that weight is up a bit after the holiday carbfest. I did see 203.5 on the scale last Sunday, so that was encouraging. Need to be more consistent on the workouts.
9/20/2018 - 208.5 - Missed last week's weigh in. Up a bit today - eating too much some days, still. Need more discipline! Weights going up - so that's a positive.

Feeling discouraged. This week has been a blunder. I feel like lately most of my September days have been blunders. This weekend I re-evaluated my menu and schedule as well as evaluated any possible barriers to success. We will see how close I get to my Sept goal of losing 5 pounds. I have 2.3 pounds to go!

Now that I’m really noticing changes, I want to keep at it,
but I’m also getting that itch to splurge too often and too much with the justification that “I’ve earned it.”

    I soooo understand this.
I am in the same boat.

I am choosing to take this week as BREAK week, where I eat at maintenance calories and work out less, so I don't continue to feel deprived.

I'll be back at it next week.

Way to go, Syreina! Losing slowly is good,it helps reinforce good eating habits. Congrats on the engagement too. I'm going on 30 years and it's wonderful. Try bringing carrot sticks or fruit for snacks at work, to resist the machines. Keep up the great work.
