Nothing makes you pick up your pace quite like tornado sirens going off.

Skies are greenish blue to the NW but that cloud won't pass directly overhead.

Excellent! Good luck! I was curious because our routines are so similar... I have 18 miles on the books for tomorrow and 5 on Sunday...

Hey, we're past half way through the year.

How's everybody going with their goals?

A reminder of what @Elise4270 asked us in December :

    end-of-month question?

What are your goals for this next year?
Where do you want to be a year from now?
How do you see your training evolving?

My goals this next year... i think I'm going to quit eating food that's not food. I'm going to stick to things that are real food, look like real food and I can identify what's actually in it.

Training wise, this is my year to kick *kitten*. I'm going to take advantage of getting stronger and more confident and more dedicated to training and self-improvement. I want to swim, bike and run more.

Lofty goals, eh? Let's do this.

ETA I also need to use lotion on a regular basis  (and format original post). And add I'm also going to to do 30 minutes a day, everyday of deliberate exercise. Except surgery day, I have to be there at 5am. And I'm starting now. Now's the change.

What are your goals for this next year?
    • Run a 50 km run. Anything else will be cherries on top.

Where do you want to be a year from now?
    • Feeling as blissfully happy as I am now.

How do you see your training evolving?
    • Hopefully getting better at combining sufficient rest with 20% adequate intense runs while maintaining long slow distance.

    Tick, tick, and tick.

Hopefully the happiness doesn't wear off the further past my 50 km I get.
