OMG GIRL YES!!! I asked him (jokingly) if he was a catfish and then his profile was GONE! We were talking about the gym and he said he had t worked his arms in “like 5 years hahaha” so I asked how his arms looked like that if he didn’t work out and then I asked if he was a catfish. Boom.. GONE1

I’m new to MFP so I started talking to a guy here,he seemed like a decent bloke but he started calling me fake.He was like “are you real?”.I said I feel real to me.But it turns out he was catfished before.
Oh and we stopped talking because he was married and wanted to hide it from his wife.I ain’t a homewrecker my friend. 🙄1 -

Yeah I realized that when he told me he is married & can’t talk to me while he is at home.I asked then if his wife saw my msgs then? Maybe I’m odd, but I like to chat with everyone, whether I know he is a catfish or not. I don’t send pics. I will have a conversation about whatever. If they are only interested in the pics, they leave on their own. Sometimes, I just think people are lonely and need someone to talk to. Someone made a good point about low self esteem or self confidence.5

I think I’m most cases the see the red flags. They just don’t want to believe them. Maybe they have some self esteem issues of their own. Or they’re really shy and struggle talking to the opposite sex. They so desperately want to be loved that they look past the obvious signs. Or they have been talking to this person for so long. They have assured them they love them no matter what. They couldn’t believe that they would lie to them, or don’t want to believe it. When the sad thing is I think a lot of times maybe the other person would have accepted them if they were up front and honest to begin with.0
