What things are you irrational about?

Like me, for example.. I can’t stand when a single hair is touching me in the tub. The sensation drives me insane. What things are you overly particular about?

    Everything.

Tags on clothes. If I feel them the drive me absolutely bonkers. I will destroy the shirt trying to rip the tag off rather than feel it on my neck.

I don’t like when my top lip touches a fork. I burned myself bad once and now I always subconsciously avoid it. But that means I’m one of those dreaded teeth scrapers when I use a fork 😬

Certain noises set me off and make me irrationally angry.

Both of these things, along with the sound of people shuffling their feet instead of picking them up off the ground when they walk. My skin is crawling just thinking about it.

Hair tickle. My hair is falling and sometimes there is a stray which drives me insane and makes me act the part in public. Usually on the street.

Creaking doors make me go ballistic. All my hinges are well-oiled (I mean... literally).

Going over cracks in the pavement with my right foot. If I notice the crack, it makes me feel very weird afterwards if I don't do that.

The sound of rummaging while trying to find and then unwrap any type food or candy. Drives me insane! Especially when everything is silent and you hear that one person looking for a freaking mint or worse a twinkie.

I'll need to revisit this on the 22nd

    Why?

I have always being afraid to lick an envelope for fear that somehow I would papercut my eye ball. Until self adhesive envelopes became a thing, I would only ever tape an envelope closed.

I now have this irrational fear.

    Why?

22/7 (The date as non-Americans write it) is a closer approximation of Pi than March 14th.

So is that your Pi day?

I observe both as an excuse to eat an irrational amount of pie

A rational amount of pie can still be a lot of pie.

No need to bring irrational numbers into this.

cant have a fan/ac blowing my body while I sleep. have to be facing away

I'm the exact opposite. Have to have a fan or constant breeze blowing on me while I sleep otherwise I don't sleep.

Bugs. If I see a bug my son crawls. If someone is talking about a lice out break at a school, my head itches like crazy. I will go completely bonkers.

Background noise from TV. If I am not watching at that moment, the TV has to be off.

People that sneeze several times one after another. If you don't have it cleared out after two then leave the room til you're done.

Having smoke blown in my face. If you’re into vaping that’s cool, but I’m not and I don’t want to choke on your smoke cloud.

Also, bad breath. It actually physically nauseates me when I’m talking to someone with bad breath.

People talking about very personal things on their phones in public. I’m neurotic about my phone to begin with. I don’t like anyone touching it or looking through it for listening to me talking on it. So when other people are out loudly talking about how their ex cheated on them and got herpes. I don’t wanna hear it!
