Round 48:
Day/Weight/Comment
8/06- Holiday weekend, just needed some rest, 2more treatments of radiation. Even my steps are down, going to pick up tomorrow.
8/07- picked up on my steps today, tried stretching. Eating healthy.
8/08- I thought this date would never come, today I finished my last day of Radiation. Thirty treatments completed. I was so lucky not one side effect. Now to focus on healthy eating and lots of exercise.
8/09- Today I made cauliflower soup for lunch, My neighbour has been great and gave me all different colours of tomatoes, and cucumbers.
8/10-Tonight I can start to cut my steroids in half, for a week. Hopefully this helps with sleeping and eating. Enjoyed the great weather this afternoon, and then my husband and I went to find a patio for dinner. Goal is to start working harder to achieve my weight loss.
8/11- Went shopping to today, bought lots of vegetables and fruits. Tried to watch my food portions.
8/12 Walking steps are up- 12,600. Still having a hard time with eating because of steroids, I tried not to eat in-between meals, dinner I was starving I could feel it even in my arms. I tried more fruits and vegetables.
8/13- Today was a hard day for me 2 I/2 hours sleep last night, no sleep during the day time. Eating healthy today, instead of sleep went walking.
8/14 - Steroids and not much sleep are very hard on me I try have one snack during the afternoon and when it comes to dinner it feels like I have not ate anything I can feel it it even my arms. Going to try smoothies again.

•8/6 - 186.2 - Early weigh in. - This morning, I reviewed my weigh ins from the last round. My weight was all over the place. 188.2, 187.8, 187, 186.8, 186.4, 185.6, 185.2. That is not usual for me. I'm expecting that my weigh ins this round will compensate for the weights I bypassed. Those lovely increments. Today's weight for example. We shall see. 9 more to go. 186 was my weight in early 2015. I was doing very well on the way to my goal of 150lbs, when I decided to try eating grains again. Bad, bad idea.
•8/7 - 186.6 - Early weigh in. Maybe I am through with the 186's now? 186.8, 186.4, 186.2 This weight completes the increments set.
•8/8 - 185.6 - Okay. Let's count'em down. I was here and .2 last round so, maybe I skip .8 altogether? If so, one to go and one to revisit.
• 8/9 - 185 -
•8/10 - 185.4- Lol, there it is. If no point 8 this week, then this set is complete. A VERY carby day yesterday, courtesy of some pre-made store bought meatballs. 52g carbs, 41g net carbs
•8/11 - 185.4
•8/12 - 185 - again, lol
•8/13 - 185.8 - fluid retention yes, but also there is the point 8! Completed 185 set.
•8/14 - Did not weigh this morning and holding on to a lot of fluid. Omigosh, losing track of the days. I didn't realize that tomorrow is the last day of round 49. That 10 days went so fast! So fast that I haven't had a decent amount of sleep 4 nights in a row. Three were just my "normal"
but yesterday, smh. MY DAY, by Tiabirdie56 I was already to the point of overtired and I decided to strip everything off my bed, wash it and disinfect (? not sure if that's truly possible) the mattress. Errands to run, dinner to make, now its 9pm. Really tired, I DO NOT want to finish what I started in my bedroom. Told my son that I was considering sleeping on the sofa now. It's 10:30pm. I go to the bedroom at 11pm, with rags, mops, bucket. Yeah, it was that kind of cleaning I wanted to do. Dust the walls, wipe down the door frame, wipe down the window shades, windows, dust and polish furniture, wipe down the mattress and foundation, dust and wash the floors, make the bed. Four and a half hours later, shower, lie down, can't sleep. 5:30 am I finally got to sleep, but it's fitful, because Grands are coming and today, I wish they weren't. So now it's 9am, (no coffee yet btw, and I NEED COFFEE! sev-er-al cups) the children are here and as usual, for 2 and a half hours they are continually wanting food. SMH. Are anyone else's Grandchildren like this? Still no coffee, getting irritable because I am tired. I make breakfast for myself. What I wanted, a 3 egg omelet with spinach and a small portion of beef smoked sausage. What I ate: 1 scrambled egg, 2ozs beef sausage, 1 small strawberry, 1.5 ozs cheddar (which I did not want but I had to eat something) What they ate: DGD- 3 eggs, 2/3 of a cheese stick ( she decided she didn't like it - ?) apple juice she brought from home, 1 oz beef sausage, 2/3 pint of strawberries. DGS- One of my eggs (yes, I cooked 2 for myself, lol) 1/3 pint of strawberries, cheese stick, juice brought from home. Then they discovered goldfish crackers in my cabinet, so they ate some of those and DGS also ate broccoli. How long were they at my house? 5.5 hrs. When they left, who came? The other 2 Grands and my niece for 2.5 hrs! So Niece and Grand niece proceed to eat my spicy peanuts and I hand over my bag of pistachios, so they continue their munch-a-thon Grand nephew only wants something to drink. Now I am talking with Neice and preparing 3lbs of green beans to blanch and freeze. I ask her if she wants some for their dinner tonight. I bag 2lbs, but think about how much the children like green beans, so all go home with her. Now it's time to make dinner. I'm so exhausted now that I don't even feel it. Not quite the end of MY DAY yet. Hope I sleep tonight.

8/06 86.6kg (-1.0kg) Wham, I just started with a realy good wooshhhhh. Roundgoal met in 24 hours . And all I did yesterday was being lazy, some laundry and sunbathing. Feels great though!!
8/07 86.9kg (+0.3kg) To be expected. Better number, was way too big of a woosh.
8/08 86.9kg (-0.0kg) It's very hot, walked 10000 steps and went to bed early.
8/09 87.2kg (+0.3kg) Had a very special day. My aunt celebrated here 80th birthday with a very sugary high tea and a very high heavy sodium chinese dinner.... But it was worth the 300gram extra on the scale this morning!!
8/10 87.2kg (-0.0kg) TOM and having a hard time after a day full of party food to stay in my kcalgoal. I'm hungry for sugar and fat
8/11 86.9kg (-0.3kg) It was the end of the week and I was terribly tired.... But now it's weekend and I can do a lot of fun things!
8/12 86.5kg (-0.4kg) Walked a lot, biked for an hour in total, it was a good day, with a good result!
8/13 86.2kg (-0.3kg) Had a great day maked plans for a holiday in May 2019 for my parents, had friends over andwent a tiny bit (100) over my kcalgoal.
8/14 86.2kg (-0.0kg) Had a good day but a horrible night. I feel like I didn't sleep at all (I did, but woke up several times) noticed I'm tensed (my jaw is tight). No clue why
8/15 85.5kg (-0.7kg) Wooshhhhh what a great way to end this round! It started with a big woosh and ends with one

Hi everyone - newish to this challenge (not to MFP!) and a bit late to this round... Goal for this round is to FINALLY get under 80 kg bc it is just way too high of a number for me and I am fed up with it. And I love the accountability this challenge gives me!
Day/Weight/Comment
8/06 80.8 kg (178.1 lbs)- down from the weekend, happy with this as it means I managed to stay within calories but still managed to enjoy myself.
8/07 80.6 kg (177.7 lbs) - another drop... Have to keep on keeping on! Planning to workout this afternoon but it is going to be SUPER hot so I don't know how motivated I will be. Have to remember to hydrate in any case!
8/08 80.5 kg (177.5ish lbs) - slow and steady! Gym was good yesterday, upper body workout, not too much cardio involved which was fine because it was SO humid and warm. Finally rained last night, I feel like I can breathe again.
8/09 80.5 kg -same as yesterday. Felt really bad yesterday morning, don't know why, probably heat and lack of sleep. Did stay within calories. Feeling a bit better today, so that's good.
8/10 81.1 kg - ugh. just, ugh. I guess this is to be expected bc I worked out hard yesterday and though I stayed within calories, working out gave me a lot more calories to play with so I ate a relatively large amount of food. But still, meh. Hope the combination of bloating and food baby goes away soon, but with the weekend coming up I am not so sure...
8/11 81.1 kg - felt lousy all day and didn't make the best choices - not the worst either, but def not the best - so I am just glad it's not worse.
8/12 did not weigh as was away
8/13 81.3 kg. Well. This happens when you go away on the weekend for a nice hotel stay and then proceed to enjoy going out to eat and having the breakfast buffet and stuff. I know this is mostly bloating, and of my own doing. Let's see how much damage I can reverse before end of this round. Hitting goal seems unlikely though.
8/14 80.6 kg. Whoosh!! Still don't think I hit goal, but wow - amazing how much water weight your body can hold onto from one very carby meal, and how quickly it can drop it again!
8/15 80.3 kg (177 lbs) Super happy with this, I will take it! Stayed within calories and worked out and drank a lot of water... And i will (i WILL) get under 80 kg the next round.9 -

Day/Weight/Comment
8/06 71.5kg - unfortunately can't do my run and exercises today as I am incredibly sore from yesterday's boxing class
8/07 72 - it's ok, had a really *kitten* day at work, did a little comfor eating, then got stuck on a hot train for 20mins, and had late dinner. Went over my cals, not by as much as I thought I would. And made a better choice for late night snacking and avoided the glass of wine I really wanted.
New day today!
8/08 71!!! - WHOOSH! Oh this is awesome. I had a much better day yesterday. Stayed within calories even though I had loads of snacks, ran in the morning and boxing in the eve. Rest day today and drinks tonight, but i'm motivated to keep it sensible (even tho the group of friends i'm meeting is everything but)
8/09 71 - it is still here! I went over my calories last night and had a bit of an emotional chocolate binge. But when i say binge, I had 4 pieces instead of a whole bar.
Tonight my 11yo niece will arrive, I'm sure there will be some ice cream, cookies and pizza over the weekend, but I aim to stay reasonable
8/10 visitor - 71kg. I feel like this is my weight now. I'll wait til after the weekend before changing my apps.
Also, my niece's flight last night got cancelled due to bad weather. This was the second change of plans during an emotionally exhausting week. I don't like changes of plans very much. So I allowed myself to eat treats and go over my calories yesterday. Then I also decided to sleep instead of run this morning. This is all ok, I feel I need it, I just have to be mindful not to get cocky about the 71 and throw it all away...
8/11 visitor
8/12 visitor
8/13 73kg - to be expected after the weekend and day 2 of TOM. I didn't weigh or count over the weekend, had too much fun (and sweets) with my niece. Ready to get back to my new healthy eating ways.
8/14 73kg, I did so well during the day, had a burger dinner with colleagues, all allocated and planned for, even skipped the fries. But then there was a 241 cocktail offer, I didn't drink all last week so I felt I deserved it. Oh that was a mistake because at home I ended up snacking soooo much, felt lime my day 1 TOM Happened yesterday instead of a few days ago. Ah well, new round new luck aka get my act together. However I'll be back home for half of the next two rounds, which will also be challenging.
8/15 72kg, 0.5 more than at start of round. I am an idiot and can only blame myself. I'm so tempted to give up, with being away from Sat. But every day I do count and stay within will help me get to my goal eventually. I now know I have to review my UGW timing for next round and just go with a smaller drop as a first goal.
And maybe i'll finally get a digital scale after my holiday.11 -

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Not good. Not good at all. Actually not 100% fair. Yes I was eating a little more than normal, but looking at Friday I didn't go stupidly over, and Saturday (unlogged) I only ate two meals, did lots of walking, and dancing. But there was a lot of drinking. A LOT of drinking. Ugh. Anyway, friday and saturday where okay, it was hangover day that really killed it:
8/06: 71.6 - Yesterday was not good. Riding back on a motorbike for 4 hours, on a hangover, was not good. We went and had a breakfast buffet around half 10. A terrible decision, not just for the waistline, but also the wallet. I used to be able to eat enough at these to almost make it worth while, but neither me, nor my boyfriend were able to eat enough for that. But we did eat enough (and slow enough) to mean that lunch was not necessary. Then the dreaded dominoes for dinner, of which I ate way too much. After the weekend I've had, and the salt in that dinner, I am not at all surprised with the jump in weight. Pretty sure most of it will be water weight, and will settle away soon. I will be tracking the next couple of days closely to see how it comes off.
8/07: 69.8 - Erm, well that went well. Going to really mess up all my stats, but further proof that one day a diet does not ruin. A really odd day. Normally I would've been at judo in the evening, but I wasn't feeling well (I'm still not feeling well today) so didn't go. In addition my tummy was all over the place, so tried to stick to something blander foodwise, and plenty of water. I'm expecting it was all that greasy and salty food over the weekend playing havoc so hopefully it'll now have passed. I'm certainly feeling better in that respect. Went over calories, but not massively. Reasonably happy with the day. Hopefully will be able to get down to the 69.3 again in the next couple of days.
8/08: 69.5 - Still recovering from the weekend. I'm expecting the scales to stop moving quite so dramatically now. Yesterday was generally good. Dinner was significantly smaller than I was expecting and so stayed well within calories besides snacking on nutella and peanut butter. Looking forward, I'm hoping to get to 69 dead before the end of this round. Then I've decided I'm going to take a diet break. I really feel that I need one. My last few weeks have been all over the place, and I think that some time not eating at a deficit will really help me refocus. I'll probably go for a week and see how that goes.
8/09: 69.5 - I always forget how filling, for how few calories, a stir fry is. Kept my calories low, and meant I was able to enjoy a mini milk and a carrot cake slice, and still be under my lower target. After a tough couple of days it's nice to have a super low day that I felt completely comfortable with.
8/10: 69.5 - Still here. Another great day yesterday! Super low breakfast and lunch meant that I could enjoy all the meat at the BBQ for dinner (which we were having even if it was raining a little bit). Passed on the bread meant that I could enjoy a welsh cake for dessert (yeeees) and still be under calories. And the nice mini milk put me slightly over lowest value, but still way within target.
As an aside: I've been feeling super tired all week, trying to work out if it's a cold, hay-fever, lack of sleep, a result of my deficit, catching up from the weekend, or something else. Hopefully it'll pass.
8/11: 69.5 Was just hungry. I was over calories, and I'm not quite sure how. I just grazed on food and was still just hungry. Not great.
8/12: 70.1 Judo, only coaching, so didn't get nearly as much exercise as normal. Friend's BBQ afterwards, which I ate way too much at, much more bread and cheese than I normally eat. It was a poor party and damnit, even thought it wasn't very warm we went into the pool anyway. So I got some swimming in, and lots of jumping around in the water, trying to convince ourselves that it wasn't massively freezing cold.
8/13: 69.7 Okay, from yesterday I have decided I am having that week diet break I'd been promising myself. The last few weeks I have been binge cycling days on and off. Stress of life is mildly getting in the way and I think that just a week of more calories will make me be able to refocus, knuckle down and push for those lower numbers. Of course, first day on and I'm below calories even though I ate cake and had a cheesy sauce on my pasta, but I'm going to try and balance it out over the rest of the week. Pretty sure I'm going to be adding my extra calories in by increasing the size of my lunches. It'll be interesting if this completely negates my hunger pangs at about 5ish. Anyhoos. Change of pace for me. Already interesting in the difference this'll be.
8/14: 69.4 - Ugh, getting enough calories is hard. It's a strange shift from going from "If I eat this, I'm not going to have any calories left for dinner" to "I need to eat this, and then add even more into dinner". I ended up about 500 kcals under yesterday, thanks mostly to Judo calories that I forever struggle to eat back. Old habits die hard as I spent time staring at calories on the side of the pizza box I was looking at yesterday, trying to find the yummiest, at the lowest calories (at which point I remembered maintenance, and picked purely on flavour instead). I also had cake in a vague effort to eat back some of those exercise calories. I also noticed a distinctive lack of afternoon hunger pangs, so a larger lunch does really make a difference.
8/15: 69.8 - A little over my allowance yesterday, went to my parents for tea, so wasn't really in control of the food, however I knew they were making fish pie and it's always surprisingly low when I make it, and seeing as I've completely stolen my dad's method of making it, it's probably in the same ball park. Still getting used to maintenance. My lunch was low generally (and I forgot to season, so it was also pretty bland) and would've been a perfect meal if I was still in deficit! But knowing that I did have a pasty for breakfast (I was running a little late) and snacked a little throughout the day.
Round summery:
Well a little bit up and down, even though officially I've lost 1.8kg this round, at least 1.3kg of that was inflated from the previous round. However, 0.5 down for the last two rounds isn't awful. Not as fast as I'd like, but a loss is a loss. Considering I've also started a diet break this round, I wasn't overly looking for a big drop for this one. Especially as, tbh, I've been finding it really very hard to keep up with it this round. Life has been getting in the way. We're about to be getting a puppy and we said that we'd paint the hallway before he came (next friday), and then I have a job interview on friday morning. And I need to apply for some more jobs before then. And suddenly work has become busy so I'm more tired when I get home. And I've not done a big shop for a while (and I really need to) so our fridge is fairly empty which is making lunch difficult to make and yeah: Adulting. It's going "well"17 -
Just back from our summer holidays and some urgent action/commitment is needed
I have done this before and I will definitely do this again!

Round 49 - Goal - 2.8 (176.0) or more would be great
Weight on 8/5 -178.8
8/6 - 179.0 almost forgot to post today!
8/7 - 179.0 so hard to get motivated today. Should have been at the gym this morning by 5 or at least out for a run by 6. Neither will happen as I’m just too tired. Need to just shut up and suck it up! I will take a gym bag to work and go for a run after work. It’s called my punishment, running in the heat for not doing what I’m supposed to do when I’m supposed to do it!!!
8/8 - 179.0 - Lordy I’m exhausted. Ran, lifted and Walmart all before 6 a.m., on my feet at work for 10 hours, home for chores, cook dinner and finally a moment to post. I thought at 54 and an empty nester life wasn’t supposed to be so crazy!!!
8/9 - 180.0
8/10 - 180.2 - Honestly I wasn’t even going to post. Actually just thought of throwing in the towel. I hate hate hate gaining and feeling disappointed. But I guess that is the point of this challenge....accountability with the good the bad and the ugly! I know it wasn’t even a gain of much but that’s the way this ole gals mind works. Alas, y’all won’t get rid of me. Determined to hang around and see this through!!!! Thanks y’all.

08/06 - 158 - I'll be darned, I was starting to wonder if my scale couldn't get below 158.5.
08/07 - 159 - I'm starting to wonder if 1200 calories a day are my maintenance calories??? Maybe this is why I got stuck at this weight 11 years ago? I have continued to weigh/measure my food and I'm always close to goal on my carbs, protein, etc. Until my vertigo is resolved, I don't feel comfortable increasing my activities, so I guess I'll just have to see what happens over the next couple weeks.
08/08 - 158 - OK, I'll take it...again.
08/09 - 157.5 - Woohoo, I'm glad to see this go down a little before we head out of town tomorrow. This gives me a little more wiggle room for the inevitable uptick on Monday.

08/14 - 158.5 - I was happy to see this number this morning.
08/15 - 157.5 - After the last couple weeks struggle, I am so glad to see a drop this round. Thank you to everyone for their likes and hugs and advice. This challenge is what has kept me going through my plateau. On to the next!12 -

08/06 183.0 A nice way to begin the round. I wasn't expecting a drop. I was tired and sedentary all day. I couldn't figure out why, until this morning. I never did take my meds yesterday. It seems to be a long weekend thing - I will have to be more mindful come labour day.
08/07 184.2 A good day yesterday. Took my boys to the movies and then a nice long walk. Dinner was late but calories were on target. I.m not worried about the uptick - it will work its way out.
08/08 184 A good day yesterday lots of walking - i did fall and land heavily on my knee and this morning it is stiff and sounds like Velcro ripping when i bend it. It's also pouring rain outside - so less walking today -that's OK more time for needlework - although the piece i.m working on is just as grey as the rain!
08/09 183.1 100 days on MFP and 17 lbs lost. The plan right now is to stay in weight loss mode for another 100 days and then re-assess. I may switch to maintenance for the winter.
08/10 182.2 My workout buddy is on vacation, so I am going to start the day with a long walk instead.
08/11 181.4 I don't expect that to hold. Yesterdays long walk never happened. Spent the day yesterday at the ER with my son. (they could not explain his abdominal pain) So very little to eat or drink all day. Came home and slept 12 hours so definitely dehydrated at weigh in this morning.
08/12 182.6 that was expected - yesterday was a very sedentary day, and sodium and sugar were both higher than usual. Back on track today. Fortunately DS is feeling a lot better today.
08/13 182.2
08/14 182.6 I thought I did well yesterday - oh well patience is a virtue

Round 48: SW 257.4 EW 253.8 (-3.6)
Day/Weight/Comment
8/06 - 253.8...very surprised to still see this number, really thought I would have a gain. I had a horrible day yesterday, I don't think I drank any water and I ate my weight in sweets. I don't know why I did it, I was feeling so good about my drop and even had someone compliment me on my loss. I swear I'm trying to sabotage myself 🙁
8/07 - 253.8... had a good day yesterday! Stayed under calories, drank lots of water and did strength training and cardio at the gym
8/08 - 255.4...went over calories and ate a big meal late
8/09 - 255.4...yesterday I stayed under calories and did a walk. Wasn't able to get to the gym because my little gym had a bad night (I go after he's asleep). I didn't get enough water either, I had planned to drink more at the gym lol.
8/10 - 255.4...did everything wrong yesterday and was too tired to get to the gym. Have to get back on track today.
8/11 - ? Forgot to weigh in I know it's not going to be good though. A friend I haven't seen in a year is spending the weekend and we've been eating everything! And I know there is no point of even trying to get back on track until after the weekend, I'll just disappoint myself.
8/12 - still no weigh in...back on track tomorrow. I know tomorrow's weight will be a big jump
8/13 - 259.8 wow I knew I would be up but wow! I've spent the last 2 months in the 250's and enough is enough. I'm all in again starting today!
8/14 - 257.2...stayed under calories, drank lots of water, did water aerobics, a walk and 1/2 hour of cardio at the gym
8/15 - 257.2..under calories, drank lots of water again and did weight training and cardio at the gym. Kind of sad not to see another little drop today but oh well. This round was a bit of a bust and I'm ending with a 3.4lb gain. Next round will be better, I'm hoping to get out of the 250's.12 -
This is my 1st round and my target would be to reach the 60-61 kg for this challenge with longer goal of reaching 58 kg or lower (there are 4-5 years since I miss my regular weight). Starting my "loss" journey from 69kg when I decided that enough is enough
8/08- 63.2 kg, that makes it + 2 kg compared with one month ago and +5 kg compared with my target weight
8/09 - 63 kg. Pretty good day, kept it low carb on the diet and stop eating around 18:30. Done 1h of yoga that is kind of extreme sport for me. Same targets for today just changing yoga for a circuit class.
8/10 - 62.6 . Small progress but very happy the scale is going into the right direction. Have been good with food yesterday, kept it low carb as well, had my 2 liters of water and circuit class. Stop eating by 18:30 as well and despite my very calm evening with a book I resisted to the small voice in my head telling me that reading with a glass of red wine would be even more enjoyable. And this made me to sleep very well
8/11 - 61.9 uhuuuuu. Obviously low carb, plenty of water and stop eating at 18:00 is working well for me. Just need the strength to keep the direction, I know very well the recipe of losing weight. No sport yesterday , just a short walk but this was my rest day, so no surprise here.
8/12 - 61.5 discipline is the key. Low carb, sport and no food after 18:00.
8/13 - 61.7 auchhhh, not a very disciplined Sunday. done the sport and have a very good first half of the day but got lunch with a friend and indulged more carbs then necessary plus some wine. However back on track today and hope to have a better report for tomorrow.
8/14 61.4 kg, good day, sport and low carb , recovering from the Sunday excess
8/15 - 61.7. I am so dissapointed, I have no idea why , there are just 300g but I have not done really nothing wrong, ate low carb (15 net carb) , played tennis 1 hour. I had my last meal around 19:00 and after playing tennis I was somehow missing energy and I had a small coca Cola 0. I am really drinking probably 3 coca cola's per year , shouldn't have affect my overall progress so badly.
However, ready for a new challenge, 1.5 kg in 8 days is a good result and hope to have same result in the next round if not better.

8/06 177.8// My goal for this challenge is to get down to the 174’s. My lowest weight last challenge was 175.4 and I know that I’m retaining a lot of water today. I have a lot planned for this week but I know that I can stay under calories and hydrate.
8/07 175.4// This just shows that the weight from yesterday was just water weight, this was my last weigh-in and I’m hoping to decrease this number. This week ended up being a little chaotic and I have plans to do some sort of work-out every day/evening.
8/08 176// A little disappointing, but I’ll just do better today. I drank a lot of water yesterday, but went over my calorie goals.
8/09 175.6// a loss is good. We’re going out to dinner tonight for a graduation celebration. The place specializes in grilled cheese, so I’m going to try to get a more plain grilled cheese as a treat and then eat a salad. I’m not expecting a loss tomorrow, but I’m trying to be good other than dinner today.
8/10 175.6// Holding steady which is better than a gain.
8/11 No weigh in
8/12 No weigh in
8/13 177.8/ This is exactly where I was last Monday. I’m bummed about it but certain that I’m just dehydrated. I can tell my rings are fitting a little tight and I probably didn’t hydrate well enough this weekend. NSV: I did a 10k on Saturday and worked out every day last week.
8/14 175.5/ I knew it was water weight. I’m attending a fundraiser tonight so I’m not quite sure what I’ll be eating for dinner, I should have plenty of calories left. I’m looking for a loss this week since last week was essentially a maintain. I will be drinking plenty of water today since that seems to be a problem.
8/15 176.0// This is okay, but not what my goal was for the challenge. I probably had a bout 8 cups of water yesterday, but I seem to do better with closer to 11-13 cups per day. I’m eating at home tonight so I’ll be able to accurately track all of my calories.
My next round target is to hit the 173s during the challenge.12 -

8/06- 227.2 Yikes. Didn’t get to check in the last two days and late weigh in yesterday giving me a round end of 225.6. I thought that was bad enough given I was logging 223s. Today the weekend continues to catch up with me. I know I didn’t gain 1.6lbs overnight but it’s a hard pill to swallow. It’s messing with my head so much I even considered sitting out this round. I’m here though. Hopefully the water retention will work itself or the next two days.
8/07- 227.4 Boo! What is going on here??
8/08- 225.8 Scale finally moved in the correct direction but I’m beginning to make poor food choices. Need to dig myself out of this rut.

8/13- 222.6 I was right!
8/14- 222.0 Confident I’ll keep going down til end of round.
8/15- 222.0 The last two rounds have been very tough on me psychologically. I had been averaging about 3lb loss per round. Over the last two rounds I lost an average of 1.9lb per round. I find myself slipping. Sloppy logging. Eating more than usual. Craving salty, carb dense food. Need to get back to previous mindset. No social engagements in the next several weeks so that should help. See y’all tomorrow.12 -
@Deviette i'm completely with you on the adulting! I do well for a week and then completely drop it the next. Also, you're at my current goal weight. I'm trying to catch up to you. The next two rounds will be difficult, but I might just get there in Sep 🙂
You're doing awesome though! I've always thought that it's harder weighing in kilos because we have much less movement over the course of the round (because somehow 0.45kg doesn't sound nearly as much as 1lb)
I'm going to have to speed up if I don't want you catching me up3 -

Day/Weight/Comment
MY DAY, by Tiabirdie56. I was already to the point of overtired and I decided to strip everything off my bed, wash it and disinfect (? not sure if that's truly possible) the mattress.
•8/15 - 185.6 - Still tired and retaining fluid. I did get a solid four and a half hours sleep. Then another 1.5? maybe after a period of wakefulness. 0.8 lb lost this round
