First time joining. I would LOVE to lose 5 pounds this month, and every month till goal. I've been hovering between 176-179 for several months. I need to break through.

(After I first started, I met my goal weight - 115 lbs, March 2012 - but since then it's been a constant uphill/downhill battle. Now, I know that it's a lifetime battle and I need to keep on. )

I'm not making any excuses - I know that I haven't been doing much cardio this week so that's that. Although, I did have my annual physical and all my lab work is good so that's a plus.
I will try to add biking to my cardio since my knees aren't so good. Also, my doc said to avoid arm strength exercises for another week to give my muscles time to recover. I did overexert myself a few weeks ago which caused some pain in my right shoulder. I'm happy that I didn't gain more (and let's face it, I know it comes from my eating habits, lol).

Hi all,
Jumping in a bit late, but I'm here now! I'm 5'3" and currently weigh 145.4 lbs, which puts me 5.4 lbs away from my goal weight (and a healthy BMI). I am aiming to lose 1 lb. a week, although I average .5 lbs a week.

Full disclosure: yesterday was my birthday and I did indulge in a *gasp* hamburger and an ice cream cone. Yesterday morning, I weighed in at 144.6, which put me at -1.4 lbs for the week, but I'm going to post what the scale said this morning for accountability.

I've only used this app for my weight loss journey when it comes to calorie counting, logging and workouts. I lost my first 70 lbs doing only that along with the amazing support in these groups. half way through my journey i decided to get weight loss surgery to help me finally reach my goals. this is how i have gotten to where i am now. 70 lbs on my own and the rest with the help of WLS but STILL lots of working out and calorie counting.

Total loss for September: Almost a pound. I'm doing a few challenges currently, and this is the only one that I can feel a little better about, and it's just because of normal fluctuations and what the scale actuall reported this morning.

I attained my weight loss goal in early July at 144.2. I moved from weight loss to weight maintenance and recomposition to metabolize a little more fat and build a little more lean mass. I didn't participate in the Lose Five in August challenge.
After I got back from a river trip and a dive trip, I started a small weight increase over a couple weeks to the point that I'm over my goal range again. So it's time to get back to a goal of losing a half pound a week until I'm in the bottom half of my goal range.
I am still participating in monthly maintenance challenges, like this one, but for now I'll also be in weight loss mode.7 -

I'm baaaaccck!! I am -1 lb away to where I left off in since mid-July!
What am I doing? OMAD! (One meal a day). Healthy meals. Not keto diet per se but I do make keto recipes.
Upped my water intake 6 to 9 cups of water daily
Exercise, of course!
Carbs: Low/Moderate No less than 80g to 150g, however it has been much lower lately. I'm working to increase it. Fat: Moderate 70 to 80g
I refuse to have Keto Rash--never again--EVER!
