Hello guys,
I wanted to know your experience with diet sodas. I know it is zero calories but does it hinder your weight loss when drinking it daily?
Hey there. I used to be a regular soda drinker. It was mostly sprite and such, sugar free. But the sodium us killer for me, so i switched to the zero everything fruity sodas like ICE and then the liver doc said no no no.
So i had to give them up, too. But I quit little by little. Now I do flavored water.
If you like, maybe make a good cold soda a treat after a hard days work? Just not every day.9 -
I drink diet soda almost daily and it has no effect on my weight management efforts. And I'm happy to report that at my last dental appt she said I have no staining, so that's good.1

I have had nearly half the medical issues on that webpage in my lifetime and I only started drinking diet soda a few weeks ago lol prior to a few weeks ago I had never drank a diet soda in my life. Correlation does not imply causation.9 -

Hmm, I just looked at my Diet Coke and the ingredients are as follows:
INGREDIENTS
CARBONATED WATER, CARAMEL COLOR, ASPARTAME, PHOSPHORIC ACID, POTASSIUM BENZOATE (TO PROTECT TASTE), NATURAL FLAVORS, CITRIC ACID, CAFFEINE.
No hydrogen hydroxide...
Wouldn't hydrogen hydroxide be 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom? What else do we know that has a chemical composition of H2O?
gasp.. are you saying you would drink dihydrogen monoxide!??!?!5 -

I prefer when there's aspartame in it though. Gives it a bit of flavour kick.

i drink a diet Pepsi every night as a snack- caffeine free- and it helps me not to over eat other foods- it is more of a mind thing for me- I don't feel deprived so it is a MUST in my weight loss efforts- so far had an excellent report when i went to the doctor- had also lost 18 pounds within this year. to me- part of it was because I cold have my sweet treat- ie diet Pepsi each night.1

What sodium? There's 25mg in a can of Diet Pepsi.8 -

What sodium? You can have as much sodium in your drinking water as is in a can of soda (in other words, a negligible amount).
