Michele Where I live, there is Shingrix vaccine held in reserve for second doses. If you didn't already do it, inquire if there is another list of people waiting for their second dose that you can be on. It might be a shorter list.

Kate love that goofy-toungue-out-of-side-of-mouth expression. Tumble gets it too, especially after a session of chase the ball.
Karen in Va WooHOO has my vote but I'd be happy for Woot!
pip you made me laugh out so loud I'd have awakened Joe if he weren't up already to take Scooter out.
Evelyn "... okay because it's not snow!" Amen, sister, AMEN!
Kim "180 dozen Christmas cookies???"
Michele what kind of loom?
After two lovely, cozy, stay-at-home days, during which I didn't meet even minimal step goals, I'm almost looking forward to going into town tomorrow for T'ai Chi and groceries. Cleared two boxes of books and much stuff from the pedestal table. Was so emotional and headachy just couldn't face the last box. Did get a picture up, though so I'll try to hold that positive thought

My brain cyst is benign.
Now for the rest of the story ...
I've been under some stress this year ... so much so, that my body has been negatively affected. I've been going to a series of Drs (specialists) to treat things.
One specialist is a dental surgeon who diagnosed me with TMJ. He also sent me for an MRI and the MRI picked up a brain cyst. So, a couple weeks later (last week), I went for another MRI.
Today I saw my dental surgeon to have the TMJ treated, and he confirmed that I do have a brain cyst, but he is certain it is benign. He will be having a chat with a neurosurgeon friend just to confirm that there should not be any need for treatment.
Meanwhile, the muscles in my jaw and sides of my face have been pumped full of botox to relax them, and thus treat the TMJ.
Machka in Oz4 -
My sister-in-law posted this and I thought it was good ...
Nov 1 - smell. My roses.
Nov 2 - technology. Social media and staying connected with family and friends.
Nov 3 - colour. Blue. The blue of the mouth of the river/bay/start of the ocean out my window. The blue of the sky. My new blue sleeping top that was nice and comfy last night.
Nov 4 - food ... cheese. I ate a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches when my husband was in hospital. They were my comfort food. Also cheese has calcium which I think I need. Unfortunately, cheese does tend to be a bit high in calories so I shouldn't eat too much of it. But anything cheese-y is comforting.
Nov 5 - sound. I like listening to the waves and the birds, but I think the sound I'm most grateful for today is my husband's voice. Just the fact that we can talk to each other again.
Nov 6 - "What in nature are you grateful for?" ... That's hard to narrow down to one thing. Oxford dictionary describes nature as "the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth". I am grateful for all of it. I find that getting out into any sort of nature helps to relieve stress.
Nov 7 - "What memory are you grateful for?" ... Another one with so many choices!!! Recently, I've been grateful for two memories. 1) June 2017 ... my husband and I had a wonderful visit to Canada and did several things to make great memories ... hiking, cycling, visiting my family. I clung onto those memories during the months he was in hospital. 2) When I was 9 years old, my family moved away from where my grandmother lived. One of of the last days there, my grandmother took me to her window and showed me a full moon outside. She told me that on every full moon, we could both look at it and know that even though we were far apart, we were both looking at the same moon. That's a memory which has stuck with me all these years, and every time I see a full moon, I think of my grandmother. She's 97 years old ... but not doing so well ... so I've been thinking of her a lot. And I've also been very glad that my husband and I were able to see her when we visited Canada in June 2017.
Nov 8 - "What book are you most grateful for?" That's easy ... The Bible.
I've enjoyed reading all your memories.
Love the discussion about books!
Nov 9 - "What place are you most grateful for?" This is not an easy one for me because I don't have the sense of "home" that many people have. I've moved too much for that.
So ... I've had to give this one some thought. What place?
Well ...
I'm grateful for our current house. It's comfortable enough. It's not very big so it's fairly easy to manage. And it has a great garden which my husband has been able to work in since returning home from his accident. It is also close to a couple beaches, which is nice.
Nov 10 - Taste! Hmmm ... salt. In the "Do you crave sweet or salty" discussion, I fall on the "salty" side.
As it happens, I have a diminished sense of taste and smell for whatever reason, so I divide foods into the basic tastes: sweet, salty, sour or bitter, and from there it's harder to distinguish precise flavours. Although, I do seem to have some odd tastes like, for example, meat and tomato taste metallic to me, and I don't like that. If I salt them well, the metallic taste goes away and they taste salty, which is OK.
Then, one of the side effects of my husband's accident is that he has lost most of his sense of taste and smell. He has regained a little bit, and they say it should return very gradually. But he'll comment that dinner has no flavour, and I'll think, "It just tastes salty to me. Is there supposed to be more flavour than that?"
Nov 11 - What holiday are you grateful for? Christmas!!!
I've always loved Christmas. I even picked up 3 Christmas CDs yesterday. I like having a decent amount of time off ... not just one day ... so I can get things done. I like all the decorations. I like the music. I like the services and celebrations.
Nov 12 - Texture. Smooth. Very, very smooth. Clothing with no texture. Textured clothing is unwearable. Smooth clothing is good.
Nov 13 - Abilities. Right now, it would have to be organisation. While I feel like I'm in the midst of a chaotic whirlwind (and have been for the past 8 months) and I don't feel very organised, surprisingly enough, stuff is getting done.
Maybe I should include things like endurance and tenacity ... "skills" I've honed from my long distance cycling carrying over to "real life".
Nov 14 - Sight. What sight am I grateful for? The ever-changing view out the window of our house looking over the bay and the surrounding hills. Right now it's all grey and misty but it still looks good.
Nov 15 - Season. The season I am most grateful for is summer. I love summer. I'd love it if the year were divided so that there was 1 month of winter, 1 month of spring, 2 months of autumn, and 8 months of real summer weather. We're coming into summer here and I appreciate each and every summer-like day.
Nov 16 - What about your body are you grateful for?
Sometimes I think ... "less and less" these days because I'm literally falling apart.
But ... I'm grateful for my legs which are one of my main methods of transportation.
Nov 17 - What knowledge are you grateful for? -- The tacit knowledge of cycling. Being able to ride a bicycle. It has taken me all over the world. It's how my husband and I met. It is stress relief. And it is part of my husband's healing process.
https://www.brainline.org/blog/getting-back-bike/what-brain-derived-neurotrophic-factor-and-why-you-should-care
Nov 18 - What piece of art are you grateful for?
That's a difficult one. I've taken an Art History course, and enjoyed it very much. And I like going to galleries. But I haven't really felt a connection to any particular pieces.
However, the one that is probably my favourite piece is:
Umberto Boccioni, Dynamism of a Cyclist, 1913
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamism_of_a_Cyclist
Nov 19 - What touch are you grateful for?
My husband's hugs!! This was something I missed so much when he was in hospital!!
Nov 20 - Who in your life are you grateful for?
The obvious choice would be my husband, and I am grateful to have him in my life still. However, I have been very grateful for my parents who have been so supportive through the challenges this year.
Nov 21 - What song are you most grateful for?
My taste in music changes with my moods but I've been listening to this one a lot this year ...
Jesus Loves Me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osWLvRlniNo
Nov 22 - What story are you most grateful for?
The Christmas Story.
I have some of it memorised, and have done since I was about 6 years old. But I can hear it over and over.
Nov 23 - Tradition.
I had to think about this a bit because I don't think of myself as a person with many traditions, partly because I don't have children to pass them on to. But I do have a few around Christmas which I've inherited from my parents:
Decorations on or very close to December 1.
Open Presents on Christmas Eve.
Read the Christmas Story, mentioned above.
Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day.
Listening to Handel's Messiah.
Watching Scrooge with Alistair Sims.
I'm grateful for all of my Christmas traditions ... they make December a special month.
Nov 24 - What challenge am I grateful for?
Ha! I've had a lot of challenges to choose from so I had to think about this one today.
I decided on this ...
The challenge I am grateful for is my education. I'm a perpetual student. I've attended courses of some sort just about every year since I was about 5 years old. I'm grateful that I've been able to do that. It has been challenging ... sometimes more than other times. And although I've not actually gone directly into the fields in which I've been educated, it has all contributed to get me where I am now.
And it keeps me thinking and learning.
Nov 25 - What moment this week are you grateful for?
Finishing my 10K run. I slogged my way up the hill, and as I came down the other side toward the finish line, my husband was there waiting for me with a big smile.
Nov 26 - What form of expression are you most grateful for?
I wasn't sure exactly what this means, but I think we can make it mean whatever we want. So the form of expression I'm most grateful for is the written word. That includes books to read, posts I type, emails, letters, and everything.
Nov 27 - What small thing that you use daily are you grateful for?
I use a lot of small things daily, and I'm thankful for them all. It's hard to decide! Toothbrush, lipgloss, undies, water glass, phone ...
I think I'll go with glasses. Without them, I couldn't see! I could still read a book, but I couldn't work on my computer, see to walk around, drive ...
Yes, I'm very thankful for my glasses.
Nov 28 - What small thing that happened today are you grateful for?
Well ... the fact that the brain cyst they discovered in my head is benign is pretty good!!
Machka in Oz2 -
And thank you all. I am pleased and relieved about last semester's course.
I hope the course I'm currently in goes as well ... or at least reasonably well.
Because it is held over such a short time, there isn't much time to do the homework, so I've booked 2 days off next week. My plan is to go to the university and get some stuff done.
Machka in Oz1 -
And Wednesday (tomorrow), I'll be taking the day off from this council to go to my new council's Christmas party in downtown Little Rock. Easy drive there and back and a daytime party. And I'm going with my interim CEO's e-mailed blessing. My new boss will be quite pleased, as she's the one who wants me to go. Should be an easy way to meet all my new co-workers in a very relaxed environment. My introvert side can go stuff it. The 23% of extrovert in me will do just fine...
Love y'all,
Lisa in AR
That's actually not a bad way to meet people ... be introduced around, and then while everyone else is mingling, kind of stand back and watch. Or chat to one or two people and get to know them a little bit. Then on the "first day" you're not walking into a place full of strangers.

I've fallen behind on posting (Booo!!) but I'm right where I want to be with my jogging (Yay!!)
Gratitudes:
24. Challenge - Many years ago I took a university course where I had to give an oral presentation. I was petrified, but I got up and did it. Surviving that experience essentially cured me of stage fright, to the degree that I now make a goodish living out of lecturing.
25. Moment this week - My husband and I drove out east of town Sunday afternoon to look at the moon, which was just past the full. Moonlight on snow in the High Arctic is one of the most beautiful things I know.
26. Form of expression - Singing. Hands down, it's singing.
27. Small thing used daily - My blender has a detatchable base. When I've made my morning smoothie, I can unscrew the base and clean around the blades and in that otherwise inaccessible crack at the bottom. It makes me happy every time.
28. Small thing that happened today - It snowed! It snowed hard and fast and thick. Before I knew it, a good six inches had accumulated. This will make jogging much more enjoyable, because the streetlights will be reflected, and the craggy snow-clad mountainsides on either side of town will show up in the stray light.
I'm preparing for my trip to New Hampshire. One thing I've had to do is figure out how to get from the bus stop to my parents' place. Where I'm going, there aren't any taxis. My parents don't drive anymore, and I'll be arriving so late it feels like too much of an imposition to ask one of their friends to come pick me up at the bus stop. My sister isn't coming with her car until the next day. So, reluctantly, I've downloaded a ride-sharing app. I can't test it in Svalbard (no drivers here). I'll hope for the best, and if it doesn't work, I'll just walk. It's only about 2½ miles. Of course I will have been awake for 24 hours and with jet lag it will feel like 4 am, so I hope I don't have to walk.
/Penny, planning at the4 -
Machka, thanks for letting us know on the brain cyst, and wooHOO! What a relief.
Penny, hope you don't have to walk either!
#28 - Small thing that happened today - I'm grateful that my own weird internal alarm makes me get up every morning early, as my husband has to leave for work by 5:15 a.m. And I get to kiss him goodbye every morning...
About an hour of trolling around the Internet, then it's in the shower I go, and off on my day trip to meet my new crew. Tell y'all about it later, or more likely tomorrow.
Love y'all!

Machka First, I am sure you will do well with this semester's coursework. You are smart and persistent, and you will get the job done.
Concerning your Botox for TMJ: I occasionally suffer from TMJ due to clenching. I was considering Botox. I knew that my excellent dentist had TMJ which was helped by Botox. I asked him if he thought it would help me, so he updated his story for me. He did get Botox and it really helped...but not permanently...so he finally went to an oral surgeon who recommended Physical Therapy. He had a postural issue having to do with thrusting his head forward (common enough in the general population but rampant in the dental profession). Once he made a new habit of pulling his head back to properly align his cervical spine, his jaw relaxed. It really helped his TMJ & clenching.
Sort of like Squatty Potty and the anal sphincter...

Machka- Congrats on the high distinction marks for your class! And what?! Brain cyst?! Benign is great! and because it is so early in my day:
Gratitude #28 What small thing that happened today are you grateful for? Machka's brain cyst being benign! Whoot!
And that is all I have time for this morning. I had to shovel, so that ate up a bit of my morning time. Always a good calorie burner, though. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)3 -

I don't expect that the botox I had today will last ... I don't think any botox does. Maybe only 6-12 months for a TMJ treatment.
However, I'm doing all the right things for TMJ (the exercises, heat packs, mindfulness about my posture, etc.) but my stress level is so high right now that none of it is working ... I have wicked headaches all day every day, I can barely turn my head, I've also got arthritis in my jaw, and my teeth are crumbling.
So if this eases things for 6 -12 months, maybe my stress level won't be so bad then, and I'll be able to manage things with the exercises etc. as I used to be able to do.
That's what I'm hoping.

I'm glad the link to the advent stars worked, and glad some of you seemed to like them.
Irish Terri - You said you were thinking how you might make one yourself. From what I recall of the decorations you made for your daughter's wedding, you WILL figure it out, and it will be gorgeous!
I forget who else said they might like to adopt the tradition -- there were a couple of you -- but you might be able to find stars at IKEA. This is one instance where IKEA's Swedish cultural imperialism might be considered relatively benevolent.
Celebrating with Lisa and Machka, for positive turns of events.
Today's jog was even better than yesterday's, and it brought my November total to 99 miles. I'm going to make it to 100 this month!

Barbara: I look forward to yoga, and I imagine that you feel that way about Tai Chi. I take yoga classes 2 or 3 days a week. They really help keep my body working. I hope you’re feeling better soon. Sorting out and clearing up is really hard work.
Machka: I am so sorry that your body is having unpleasant symptoms. After all the stress you experienced over your DH’s health crisis, I can understand why you’re having problems with your own health now. I hope your doctors are able to treat your situation effectively and you feel better soon.
Penny: I’m glad to hear that you’re on track with your jogging. It will be a treat if you can post more often. :flowerforyou:
The dog goes to the groomer this morning, and I plan to keep on getting Christmas decorations up. The live trees won’t come in for a couple of weeks, but I can put out a number of artificial mini trees. I put them on the ends of the piano, on the desk in the entry way, and in the downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms. It may have some connection with my German ancestors.

Hello!
Had a lovely day. My friend arrived just after 11 and I showed her round the house. We still have several rooms with lots of boxes in them, but the main socialising area is fairly civilised now.
I served pea and ham soup for lunch along with some seedy, gluten free bread. Afterwards we had a quinoa salad with cold salmon. Then fresh mango. Not bad for catering for a coeliac.
We went out for a walk along the sea front. It was blowing a gale, with HUGE waves. Marvellous! We stopped at the ice cream shop, had an ice cream, and then walked back. I showed her my local shops and DH bought a bunch of kale for dinner.
I was pleased that DH was in a sociable mood and they talked together more than I did!
Then she left for the 2 hr drive home.
Just had a short nap and have read the local mag that drops through the door.
Hope we don't get too much rain tomorrow. DH is off for lunch with his cricket friend, in a pub half way between them. My Portsmouth friend is coming on the train to Brighton station, where I shall meet her. I'm planning to go to a well known seafood and fish restaurant in the Lanes for lunch. I may have oysters.
I really need to buy some warmer clothes. Our last house was very well insulated and I rarely needed more than a thin cardigan over a long sleeved T shirt. This place is warm enough, but has cold spots that lose heat quickly when it is very cold. I have been wearing my only sweater, which is very light, along with a long cardigan. I think I need another thinnish sweater at the very least and maybe another cardigan. I can't wear wool, which is why I am low on sweaters. Has to be acrylic. Wool just itches me to death. Maybe my friend will help me chose something if the weather is bad and we can't do much wandering about. It is forecast to pour with rain.
Today I was so grateful for the roar of the stormy sea, knowing I have a nice, warm house to go home to.
Love Heather UK xxxxxxx

Too tired to comment, but still reading. Fibromyalgia... blah.

Happy Wednesday!
I just love reading everyone's comments even though I don't respond quickly.
Machka - so glad the cyst was benign. Very proud of your achievement at school despite the pressure you've been under lately. I am thrilled every time I read you and your DH went biking.
Lisa - Terrific that you won't be heading to El Paso and you can meet your new workmates at the party. You are the epitome of "when the going gets tough, Lisa gets going".
Allie - I too laughed at Barbara suggesting Mary do the nanny stuff. I don't recall much backstory on Mary other than her parked at work on her day off. I have a hunch this behavior was the straw that broke the camel's back. If so, I had a similar co-worker everyone labeled "passive aggressive". I didn't write her a note, I gave her a verbal dressing down. Got a thumbs up from several co workers who overheard it, lol. But I still had to work beside her daily so we were polite and professional. At least she cut me a wide berth after that.
Rori - have you ever resorted to taping your feet/toes to deal with your Morton's Neuroma? I'm having some good luck with taping for metatarsalgia thanks to Youtube, lol. Undoubtedly need a professional (expensive) orthotic but hope to put it all off until next year.
Katla - hooray for your new dishwasher! And sewing machine Christmas presents. How neat to come up with an idea for the kids that they'll actually use.
Heather - reading about your stormy seas and walking in the wind gives me goosebumps, the good kind. Your lunch sounded great! I am getting so jealous at your ability to walk to the shops to get groceries and fresh food. I bought a new blanket for the bed from Amazon - it is made out of Polartec. Lightweight and warm - I just read about your new house being chilly. You might be able to find a lightweight Polartec jacket to wear in the house on cold days?
OK ladies I'd better get going. Making lentil soup for lunch and need to get back on SWSY which I have skipped for a week due to shoulder and foot pains. Oh, Xray on shoulder = "nothing remarkable". Hmmmph. It's getting better but sure is taking its time. See the doc next Monday.

Not a lot to say today, but thought I would add my Grateful item from the calendar.
#28 - Small Thing that Happened - It is early in the day here yet, but I am grateful that I made it to work safely. There was freezing rain last night and my windshield washer stopped working on the highway. Made it to the auto shop and the company actually approved I could have it looked at. They have jury-rigged the drivers side and ordered a part to fix both sides that will be here tomorrow.3 -
I'm fighting my way out of a funk. Black Friday brought back memories of a dear friend who worked in a commission sales job at Sears. Last year, she worked a long BF shift, came home and apparently forgot to take her meds. She passed in her sleep. She was exactly one day younger than me, and had just submitted the paperwork to take an early retirement. Her only daughter gave me her plants and a multicolored glass hurricane lamp which adorn my home and remind me of her daily. However, the actual 1st year anniversary of her passing hit me hard.
Meanwhile.... I've been fasting more than usual, and the scale has budged in the right direction. All the vacation weight is off, plus one more pound. Yay.
Barbie: My word for 2018 is 'release'. I let go of alot of stuff that wasn't working for me anymore. I also released myself from business travel and the day-to-day grind of a daily job. Happy to let that stress go!
Lanette: Thanks for asking about Morton's neuroma. I'm glad you're finding relief. I've never tried taping my toes for this. Probably wouldn't hurt, but could also aggravate the classic symptom which is the feeling that a sock is bunched up under your foot. More annoying than painful. I spent about $45 for an orthotic from my podiatrist, and loosened the laces on left foot. That has made a big difference.
Now, I have trigger thumb on my left hand. I have an OTC brace I've started wearing to bed, which alleviates the morning stiffness. Karen in VA: That jar opener gizmo is now in my Amazon cart! Perfect timing...thanks!
I'm waaaaay behind with my November gratitude list. 1 - Smell. Fresh, cool mountain air.
2 - Technology. Digital photography
3 - Color. The turquoise of swimming pools
4 - Food. Chewing gum. Keeps me from noshing after dinner.
5 - Sound. My cat's rumbling purr on my pillow every morning
6 - Nature. Wildflowers
7 - Memory. Saying my wedding vows outside in a meadow on O'ahu 30 years ago.. The sky opened up with a gentle drizzle, which is considered a "Hawaiian blessing", and I felt a clear spiriital message affirming I was doing the right thing.
8 - Book. Auntie Mame! I still want to be her.
9 - Place. The condo gym where I have time alone to consider my health and work on my fitness.

Ask a resident of the Arctic about being cold! I have acutely sensitive skin and also used to think I couldn't wear wool, but then I tried on a long-sleeved shirt of merino wool made by a Norwegian firm. It was a revelation! No itch whatsoever! I'm completely sold now, and wear those shirts next to my skin when jogging in temperatures below 5°C. I know there's an ethical debate about merino wool, but the companies I've purchased products from adhere to strict animal welfare standards -- at least judging from what they write on their websites . PM me for brand names if you're interested.
You may think you can't wear wool, but remember, two years ago, you thought you couldn't run 5 km -- and look where you are now!
Hubby just called. He flew to the mainland yesterday for a meeting. Today he called and told me that when I fly down tomorrow I should bring along his passport "and any Korean money you can find". I know what that means... Something at that meeting precipitated an urgent visit to Seoul. He leaves Monday, the same day I leave for New Hampshire. What a crazy life we lead!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I am working on getting back on track and just taking it one thing at a time.
Our dear friend is still with us, hospice says they don't understand and not he is getting violent so they are having to sedate him. Just hard to watch and keeping his family in prayer.Going to go over when I get off work and take some cans of soup. Something they can warm up quickly and not keep eating fast take out. I should not be surprised Bob is fighting this so hard as he has always been a pain in the ###. But this is so hard for all of them.
Lenora--Sounds like this PT guy is on top of things and I hope they get things worked out so you can stop the falling.
Heather--Sounds like you are getting things all settled in and getting to do things with the DGC. What a great move this has been for all of you.
Machka--Congrates on the grades. With so much going on that is GREAT!! Great news from the doctor.
Well got a text my friend that had the stroke the first part of the year failed another swallowing test and has pneumonia from the ice chips they have been letting her have. Planning to go there on Saturday if weather doesn't get bad, it's about an 100 miles and the weather man is saying sleet and snow with wind.
The other day I was thinking about everything that has happened this year and how different so many relentionships are due to illness or death. This is a part of getting older I never thought about before.

I took a few days off, and this just zoomed by me! I'm trying to catch up now—two hundred something messages to go.
Terri, I just checked out the pictures of your garden. It's lovely! I'm just getting a start on my little piece of Texas, and it's going to take time to make it feel like an actual garden. I've been trying to decide what grows best where, and it's a lot of trial and error at this point. I think I'm going to have a lot of roses here. They do well with all the sun, and they tolerate winter well. I just need to learn how to fight the pests and black spot. My biggest challenge so far, is containing the Bermuda grass they planted. It's dormant in the winter, but otherwise it grows like a weed. I'm constantly pulling it out of my flower beds.
Pip, thanks for the laugh! I was checking out your Christmas tree, and it was so pretty from the top, then there's that fence, reminding me of your big, tree-menacing dogs. I love it! I've heard many tales of trees cut down by pets. You've got it licked.
Michelle, I'm surprised I don't get full as easily as I should. Those bad eating habits aren't far enough behind me yet. One full plate will make me feel over full, but I had a piece of pie a couple hours later with no problem. I'm now back to pre-Thanksgiving weight, and trying to lose more before Christmas temptations. I sent most of the leftovers home with our guest.
Barbara, I could imagine braving the weather to clip herbs. I've got rosemary in the yard, but though I love the plant, I'm not that fond of the taste. Sorry to hear of the death of your vacuum cleaner. I like to sweep, but my new vacuum (supposedly for pet hair) needs to be cleaned every time I use it. My long-furred dog's hair wraps around the rollers and tries to kill it. I've considered a Roomba, but my dog is skittish enough without a robot out to get him.
By the way, what does AHMOD mean?
Lisa, your outlook is so smart and professional with regards to your job. You don't have to burn those bridges, in order to warn of structural failures.
Lanette, thanks for the picture of your tree. I thought Pip's was genius, but yours is just as inventive. I remember chasing cats out of my tree one year—when they were still young and spry. I usually decorated it so dense they couldn't get in or up it. Your kitty looks ready to climb the wall to get at it.
Barbie, you make me feel guilty for not getting outside when it's a little chilly. Penny near the North Pole is another who makes me feel like a whiner when I don't want to go out in the brisk, 50-ish weather. You gals are an inspiration.
Karen, it sounds like you're a cherished asset to your company. I wish more owners, CEO's, and managers understood that it's the “little people” who can make or break a business. They need to value the ones who are great, and retrain or let go of those who aren't.
Lisa in Oregon! You sound like you've found the right group. Lots of women here are runners, and many have already reached their goals, and are just maintaining. You should check in daily if you want to keep up with this group—it moves fast. I think they start a new group each month.
I'm going to post this, and keep reading and catching up.
