11/14—217—Nothing making a ton of sense right now, weight-wise, but as long as it's just bouncing around in this range, it's all good. Still working on the 100 pushups challenge but had to restart week 2. I'm definitely getting better at pushups!
11/15—DNW—I was rushing to get out the door to get to the airport to catch a flight. Well, I didn't have to hurry! The plane is still sitting on the tarmac. I'm not in it, though. I was heading out of town for a conference but we sat and sat then came back to the gate and sat, then they were reboarding and I realized I wasn't going to make my session! So I came home instead.
11/16—217.2—Yoinks. Well, I can't claim I had a perfect eating day yesterday. Too much salt and too little hydration. Onward!
11/17—217.2—Huh.
11/18—216.8—Well, that's a little better!
11/19—216.8—I ate movie theater popcorn yesterday, so this is a win.
11/20—216.4—Heading back down in time for PIE.

@tiabirdie56, thanks for asking! Actually just changed the bandage, still probably a couple more weeks. Although now when I bump the tip of my finger, it doesn’t hurt, lol. You always do when you hurt a body part, The pool is calling my name9

@FarmerCarla, love the picture!
@puttyputty, you always have to have a piece or taste of pie, especially 🎃5 -
Another romaine lettuce recall today. Actually, just need to throw it away.
US NEWS & WORLD REPORT
The latest case of reported illness onset occurred Oct. 31. States affected by the outbreak include California (10 cases), Connecticut (1 case), Illinois (2 cases), Massachusetts (2 cases), Maryland (1 case), Michigan (7 cases), New Hampshire (2 cases), New Jersey (3 cases), New York (2 cases), Ohio (1 case) and Wisconsin (1 case).
The FDA noted that romaine lettuce typically has a shelf life of about 21 days, so contaminated produce could still be on store shelves or in people's refrigerators. For that reason, "consumers throughout the U.S. shouldnot eatromaine lettuce until further notice," the agency advised.5 -

This is my sixth round. I am starting not to freak out as much over the daily fluctuations. Went up a little bit at the end of last round, so 2.5 isn't too unreasonable. On the other hand, I've been pushing a 1000 calorie deficit for 2.5 weeks now and I think I'm going to have a slightly smaller deficit this round.

11/14 166.5 -- Phew. I was super hungry and craving sweets and honestly everything yesterday. Kept trying to have a healthy filling something and it was all subtraction stew. Jogged in place at 10 pm to finish my steps and cover my extra snacking, so still had a big deficit. Glad to see that my indulgence in a scone did not move the scale the wrong way!!
11/15 166 -- Nice to see. Interesting observation: I am doing a monthly support group with a weekly weigh in. In that group I had a 3 lb loss last week, despite only a 1 lb loss in Round 57. Then this week, having finished round 58 with a 3 pound loss, I posted a .5 pound gain. Puts things in perspective about daily fluctuations! On another note NSV--three people at the gym yesterday independently commented on how good I looked and the weight I had lost. I've lost 33 lbs since June. I don't think the first 20 were so noticeable, but now there is a difference!
11/16 165.5 -- Hungry again yesterday. Somehow the low carb hamburger casserole that I made tasted good but felt more like subtraction stew. Don't think I will make that again! Combatted the hunger by going to zumba! So I guess that was a win!
11/17 164.5 -- What a nice surprise! Hopefully it's not just that I didn't drink enough water yesterday. Forgot to drink during the day, so guzzled before bed! Had a lovely breakfast with my husband and youngest this morning. Bacon & spinach & cheese omelet. After being hungry for 3 days, I was full after half the omelet and two slices of bacon, so I saved the rest for later. Have a great weekend everyone!
11/18 163.5 -- Whoosh! Clearly I should take a rest day and sit around more often!
11/19 166 -- Celebrated my husbands birthday. So I stood around all afternoon making cake, instead of exercising. And then I ate the cake. Only half a piece....only 200 over calories (which is still less than maintenance) but clearly carby. Hopefully it goes away as quickly as it came!
11/20 -- 165.5 Probably shouldn't eat the cake, even when I have calories to spare if I want this number to go down faster. Exercised a bunch yesterday.11 -

11/14 146.6 I'M BAAAAACCCK! I was worried about weighing myself this morning because LNS took over and I ate a couple of chocolate bars before bed, on top of that I had a rest day when it came to exercising (even though Sunday was my last rest day and I usually don't have one so close to the other) but I am so happy I am back to down to the weight I was at before the weekend destroyed me. I will be getting back at it today! Yesterday I was emailed my schedule for winter, beach volleyball and it starts on Tuesday...I am so excited but so nervous, haven't played since elementary school lol so needless to say it will be a lot different and I don't want to let anyone down in case I am not the best player. We will have to see.
11/15 145.6 worked out, drank a little over 1 liter of water and ate under Calories. So far so good, just planning to keep this going throughout the whole round this time Lol
11/16 146.4 I was feeling bloated yesterday but didn't think much of it because I recorded a loss but when I woke up this morning, still feeling bloated I decided to look at my cycle calender and realized my TOM is due today. No wonder I have been craving chocolate like a mad women (although having a piece here and there I am impressed with my own will power not to go over the edge) I also developed a new craving I have never had before; peanuts, cashews, almonds etc. Thank goodness I have some unsalted, raw ones to munch on. Although they are still high in calories and fat at least im not over killing my sodium but at the same time it did result in over eating my calories by about 100 but that's ok. I also worked out and drank over 1 liter of water. This fluctuation shouldn't last long
11/17 146. 5 hours of beach volleyball for practice...maaannn I am sore
11/18 no scale -mindlessly ate break fast before weighing so opted out on the weigh in. Ever since last wekend I haven't seemed to get my food under control, I am still exercising but I need to really watch my calories, especially my fat which has been crazy high lately. TOM arrived and now that that is out of the way (precraving wise) i am looking to get everything back on track. NO EXCUSES JUST RESULTS!!
11/19 148.4 that's what happens when you mindlessly eat all weekend. Stress from my aunt being rushed to the hospital and it isn't looking too good.
11/20 no weigh in. I am a little behind on posts and other MFP updates, my aunt died this morning at 3 am. Has been a difficult weekend. I will try and watch what I eat and exercise but I am currently not caring about my weight at the moment. I will still be logging on and I will try to keep up with everything. Tonight I decided not to cancel my first volleyball match. Thought maybe getting away for a few hours would be good so I wouldn't be thinking about anything, not to mentioning couldn't hurt to hit a few balls along the way lol

My name is Jen. I’ve been sitting at the low 200s for a while now trying everything to get my weight to budge. A great MFP friend suggested this group and so far it’s helping! The weight is still moving at a snails pace but at least it’s moving!

I derailed myself last year undoing a lot of good work. After a long absence from myfitnesspal I am back on track. This 10 day challenge seems like something I can do. I joined with Round 57. This is my 3rd consecutive round. The less said about round 58 the better.
Age: 59
Sex: M
Height: 5ft 10 1/2"
HW: 313 lbs (reached twice, sad to say)
Pre-challenge SW: 313 lbs (started back at myfitnesspal Oct 1st. Down 15 lbs in the 3 weeks prior to round 57)
SW for the round 57 challenge: 298 lbs (I have a photo to prove it, I'll take a new one at the start of every week)
GW sometime in 2020: 195 lbs (several beautiful Italian double-breasted suits await me)
Round 59
SW for this round: 297 lbs (annoyingly up 2 lbs over the last challenge)
GW for this round: 293 lbs (drop 4 lbs)
Day 01. 11/14 297 lbs
Day 02. 11/15 296.5 lbs. I'll take every small win after the last round.
Day 03. 11/16 296.5 lbs. We had dinner out last night after taking family Xmas photos. I knew as I ate the delicious Teriyaki chicken and noodles that there was too much salt for me and too many carbs. I would have been helped by eating a couple of Turkey rollups before we left the house. Or having a high-protein shake (i.e. Premier which provides 30g of protein). Then I might have sensibly passed on the noodles and picked a more appropriate (for me) main dish.
Day 04. 11/17 296 lbs. Moving slowly in the right direction.
Day 05. 11/18 295.5 lbs. Still moving the way I want it to go.
Day 06. 11/19 295 lbs. Good. I'll take 1/2 lb a day as long as I can get it.
Day 07. 11/20 294.5 lbs. Very nice! I might make my 'lose 4 lbs' this challenge goal.
Down 2.5 lb so far this 10 day challenge.
Down 3.5 lbs so far on challenges (I plan on doing more of them).
Down 18.5 lbs total since I came back to myfitnesspal.
99.5 lbs to go to where I want to be: 195 lbs, the weight at which I got married12 -
11/16:Tried to do snow shovelling last night, had a take it easy day it hurt my head where I had surgery.
While in the New England states last week, I saw one man using a snow blower, but all the snow shovels were being wielded by women. Women are perfectly capable, but, somehow, that didn't seem right. At least, it's good exercise. Praying for good news from your doctors.1 -
Round 59
Svetlana
Age - 50
Height 167 cm
SW: 68.1
Result of Rounds 56+57+58 = - 5.2 kg (-11.5 lbs.).
End of ROUND 58: 63.5 kg (139.9 lbs.)
GW for Round 59: 62 kg (136.7 lbs.)
Day/Weight/Comment
11/14 - 63.1 kg (139.1 lbs.). 7 km run in the morning. Has to do more today as we have a “special” heavy-loaded dinner tonight. Plan a 3 km walk during the lunch break and “six-pack in 6 weeks” before dinner. I wish success to everyone in this round.
11/15 - 63.0 kg (138.9 lbs.). Yesterday mission is completed. Did all my activities and the dinner (1,654 kcal) didn’t affect my weight at all. There is even 100g loss.
11/16 - 62.8 kg (138.5 lbs.). 7 km run in the morning. My body fat % now is below 20% (19.9%); for my age the lowest limit is 17.1%. Only short way to go!
11/17 - 62.6 kg (138.0 lbs.).
11/18 - 62.5 kg (137.8 lbs.). Did my run and walk (13km) yesterday and “six-pack in 6 weeks” today in the morning. Now going to thermal bath for swimming and sauna.
11/19 - 62.0 kg (136.7 lbs.). Not bad!
11/20 - 62.7 kg (138.2 lbs.). I don’t know what the reason is for +0,7kg. May be it’s just a cold weather. Anyway, I ran my 7km in the morning (in 2 tights and 3 shirts + a jacket)
11/21 - 62.2 kg (137.1 lbs.). “Six-pack in 6 weeks” in the morning.
11/22
11/23
RESULT OF ROUND 59: minus x.x kg (- x.x lbs.)
9 -
Male, 39
6'0"
Goal: Get BF% to 10-12%, then bulk.
Round 57: +2.6 (15.1%)
Round 58: -1.8 (15.1%)
Starting Weight for Round 59: 187.4
Good luck to everyone this round. My goal is to break the 185 barrier by the end of Round 59.
Day/Weight/Comment
11/14 - 185.4 - Busy day. Did pretty well on food intake. Lifted early in the morning to make up for Monday's lift that I missed and then played over 2 hours of full court basketball last night. Over 22,000 steps total on the day. We will see if I can continue to decrease from this weight over the next 10 days.
11/15 - 185.2 - Had a pretty good day. Solid calorie deficit and got a good lift in last night. A little worried that I possibly have an inguinal hernia. Getting it checked out on Monday. Hoping that isn't it because I have made pretty good progress in the weight room and really don't want to give that progress back and have to build back up if I have to have surgery. But it is what it is. Either way, I will keep working toward my goal.
11/16 - 185.4 - Had a nice deficit yesterday and actually showed self control at a Mexican restaurant, which is tough for me. Went to go workout, but was having some pain in my lower abdomen area near that possible hernia, so I cut off the workout. Hoping to have a good day today, last day of work for me for 9 days!
11/17 - 184.8 - Had a solid food deficit day and a good sleep last night. Got a light lift in. Not gonna go heavy until I see the doctor on Monday. Hope to continue the trend downward.
11/18 - 185.4 - Weighed but forgot to post
11/19 - 184.2 - Had a good day yesterday with calories and protein. Had dentist and doctor today so was out of the house and ate out for all 3 meals on the run (poor choices too, so I expect a weight jump tomorrow). Will try to get a workout in tonight.
11/20 - 185.2 - Pretty much what I expected after how I ate yesterday. Made pretty good choices today and played over 2 hours of full court basketball tonight, so I expect to see it go back down for tomorrow. Went to the doc on Monday. He doesn't think I have a hernia, instead he believes it to be a swollen lymph node. Ran some blood tests and am doing an ultrasound tomorrow morning to try to figure it out. Follow up is next Monday to go over blood work and ultrasound results. Good news is I got back in the weight room on Monday night and had a good workout, so we will see what he says. Gearing up for Turkey Day!
