Starting Weight 175-178
Current Weight 150.4 end of round 60
Goal Weight 140
Back again! I am honestly just going to try and maintain this round. If I lose an ounce I will be thrilled! We have my DH work Christmas party, my work party, a cookie and candy making family party, and this one ends on a Sunday. Plus we have family coming in Christmas weekend and they are staying with us. The next couple of weeks are going to be rough! I was really hoping to hit the 30 pound mark by the end of the year. I'm close, but don't think it is realistic that I will lose another 2 or 3 pounds by then. I'm happy with what I have done though this year, so I will take it! Good luck everyone!
Day/Weight/Comment
12/14 - 151.1 back up a little from yesterday. I was under calories, but I did have a peach turnover at 9:00 and dinner at 8:30. Both my daughters 10 and 16 had choir performances at 2 different schools last night. So my husband and I had to juggle seeing both of them and getting dinner done for the other kids. I didn't want to eat out, but I ended up eating really late when we got home. Hopefully I can bring it back down, but I have my DH work Christmas party tonight and then candy and cookie baking with the fam tomorrow. So we will see what happens. All I know is this is a once a year thing, so I will try and make smart decisions, but I am going to enjoy it and have fun! Seeing that 149.xxx would be really nice this round though!
12/15 - 150.4 DH Christmas party was a success. We walked away with $150 playing bingo and I ate well. Saved most of my calories for dinner and ate what I wanted without worry. Stayed away from the desserts and even had a beer. Had a great time and stayed on my path. I also got back into a pair of black really tight pants size 6 that I had not worn in many years. So another win. Family cookie and candy baking today. Oldest son is home from school and is helping out. So always good to have him home. 1 event down, 4 to go!
12/16 - 153.0 uuughhh. Totally deserved! Stayed away from the cookies and candy but the chips and dip got me. Who gains 3 pounds over night like that. Oh well it will be off in a couple of days. My family was driving me crazy and all bickering, so it was kind of stressful instead of fun. You know when you get to many women together with all their kids it gets crazy. My sister in law and I aren’t on great terms anyways, so I ate salt and lots of it. Lol, water and relaxing today. We will see what today brings.
12/17 - 154.1 Lots of water to flush all the sodium out and get back on track today. My husband and I are playing hookie today and going to a movie since the kids are all in school. Back to work tomorrow and hopefully by Friday I’ll be back down.
12/18 - 154.1 Did a little better yesterday I guess. Not enough water and still not great food choices, but went to see a movie and had a great time just hanging out with my DH. Back at work today. So salad for lunch and tons of water. We have family stopping through town for dinner tonight, so hopefully we can agree on a half way decent dinner out.
12/19 - 154.1 I have no idea what is going on. I did go out to dinner last night, but it was not late and I had tons of water through out the day. Was at calorie max I am sure. I did have a couple of fried things off the appetizer platter, but nothing crazy. We will see what happens the rest of the week. It's funny because even though I know it's not possible I am starting to freak out every time I get on the scale thinking I'm going to all the sudden be back in the 160's or 170's. I knew this month was going to be hard. We just have way to much going on and so many different parties and events. All of the holiday shopping and present buying. Plus the kids are all super busy with end of the semester projects, finals, and plays. Then on top of everything work is stressful, I'm the accountant and I'm trying to get the books closed for the year. uuuggghhh.
12/20 - 152.8 Back down a little bit. Hopefully I will come down another pound or 2 before the weekend. I have absolutely nothing to do tonight for the first time in weeks. We rented a movie, going to make dinner at home, and do a little relaxing. Kids are officially out for winter break as of 3:00 today and my oldest has finished his first semester of college and will be home tomorrow.
12/21 - 152.8 I think I am figuring out maintenance at this point. Not really on purpose, but oh well. Today I have my office work party with Italian food. So we will see how that ends. Doing baked chicken for dinner and veggies. My DH's family will all be in tonight and they are staying with us through Christmas. So I will have 2 twin 4 year old girls running around the house. Hopefully we do most of our eating at home versus going out all of the time. 2 more days and I am still up, but not by a lot. Hopefully I see another drop on the scale before Christmas, but I don't see that happening. Lol, tis the season!
12/22 - 152.3 Had a fun lunch and good dinner food wise. Family is in and happy to spend some time with them. Doing cleaning and wrapping today. Tomorrow will start prep work for Christmas Eve. Hopefully finish on a good weight.
12/23 - 152.3 Still holding on to this number. Up this round 1.9 pounds but I’m ok with that. As many parties and food events that I have been around in the last 10 days it could have been worse. Football and family today. My husband and I finished wrapping yesterday and got all the stocking stuff organized. I’m starting all the prep cooking for our big family gathering tomorrow. We host at our since we have more room than anybody. Love the holidays, but I’m exhausted, lol. See you all in round 63!10 -

12/16 - 188.6
12/17 - 189.0
12/18 - 189.2 oh boy!!!
12/19 - 188.6
12/20 -188.6
12/21 - DNW
12/22 - 192.0
12/23 - 191.6
Well very disappointed but I completely own it. Lot of Christmas treats the last couple of days. Totally out of control.
On to the next round. Still lots of treats in the house and more baking today but luckily I am making up gift plates for the neighbors and out of the house they go!
You're definitely not alone! I had a difficult round and gained too. Completely my doing.
The positive in all of this is that you stuck it out and weighed every day, posted it and owned it. I think you made great strides just in doing that! I think you deserve a pat on the back for making progress in that department.
Thanks For the support Birder. You stick with it too and good results will come our way!3 -

Day/Weight/Comment
12/14 - 174 - food has not been the best today due to having a broken oven, but I have tried to be mindful of portion sizes. No exercise today but will try and make up for it in the morning.
12/15 - 174.4 - food has been pretty good and went for a swim this morning, so hopefully that will counter the. 4 increase
12/16 - 173.7 - not much movement today but happy with food
12/17 - 172.5 - good food day today and moved by chasing my baby round the house. Water was by good today and that's always my downfall so happy with today!
12/18 - 171.1 - so close to my mini goal of 170 by 27th (baby weight). Water wasn't great today. Food could have been better/worse but under my calories and walked 10k+ steps.let's see what the scales say tomorrow!
12/19 - 171.1 - food was under calories but could have been better choices; the joys of a Christmas fridge. Had a swim tonight which was nice. Hoping to push the numbers to my first big goal of 170.
12/20 - 169.7 - finally hit my pre-pregnancy weight and my target for the challenge which feels great, just have to keep it on track. Water was pretty good today and under calories. Today is a good day!
12/21 - 168.8 - today was not a good food day. Went for afternoon tea with a friend then hubby wanted a McDonald's for tea. I tried to be good as I could be. And got over 17k steps. Prob have an increase over the next few days from sodium and calorie intake, but going to be good for a few days to finish off the round!
12/22 - didn't log
12/23 - 170.4 - had a very sick 9 month old which has thrown my logging, my exercise routine, my food prep and water intake which has made me a little sad but she is worth it. Achieved goal for the 10 days. Here's to round 63!10 -

These next 10 days will include some Holiday parties and my birthday, so I’m just going to continue to track my food and be mindful of my eating, but I’m going to enjoy this time of year with all the celebrations.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/14 - 144.5 - I'm down just in time for a tax planning lunch with a client. I checked the menu and there's no real low calorie options. I'm just planning to bring half of the lunch back and I'll give it to my husband to eat over the weekend.
12/15 - 144.5 - We're going out to eat tonight with some friends. I will probably be fine on the food calories, it's the adult beverage calories that will get me tomorrow. Oh well, it's time for celebrations. In a month, I won't be able to go out much at all.
12/16 - 145.5
12/17 - 145.5 - Glad it's not higher. I did some mindless snacking yesterday which I have not done in over 9 months. Back on track today in preparation for all the parties this weekend and next week.
12/18 - 144 - I'm surprised at this number. I doubt this sticks, but I'm happy to see it today.
12/19 - 143 - So I have somehow made it back down to my pre-Holiday parties weight. I've got plenty of parties left to go and this makes it easier for me to enjoy all the food.
12/20 - 143 - That stung a little to change my age on my heading. I don't know why 55 seems worse than 50 was, but I really need to be happy that I'm the healthiest I've been since I've been 40. Ironically, my Aunt called me last night to let me know that my 101 year old Grandma is now in hospice care. She never had a problem with her weight. She kept a very active lifestyle and although she was a baker, she never binged on her cakes, cookies, or her incredible brownies. She loved to golf with her buddies and walked the 9 holes until she was well into her 80's. She also loved a cold beer after the round. She had to give up golfing at 90 because she complained she was shooting in the low 50's due to her arthritis and she didn't want to go out playing like that. I didn't tell her that if I shot in the low 50's it was a pretty good game for me. My birthday wish tonight will be to try to stay as healthy as my Grandma and really enjoy the next years of my life.
12/21 - 143.5 - There's the piece of chocolate ganache cake and the extra glass of wine. It's all good.
12/22 - 143.5 - My daughter is throwing me a belated birthday party tonight, so I'm sure I'll end this round with a gain, but it is worth it.
12/23 - 144 - I'm up from yesterday, but down from the start of the round. I feel like I've done pretty well over the past 10 days. The next few are going to be really hard calorie wise with all the family in town, but I'm having fun!9 -
@pinkfairy88 Praying your daughter will be recovered by Christmas so all of you can enjoy the celebration.
@quiltingjaine Thank you (and others of you) for prayers for my pastor. We visited him at the hospital after the morning service. The stroke was mild, his speech is a bit slurred and his limbs feel heavy, but he can still move both arms. He's expected to make a full recovery, but won't be released until Christmas Day. Sometimes, God allows circumstances that force us to rest and take a break. Pastor's been under a lot of stress caring for his wife and elderly parents who all have health issues. Hopefully, he'll listen to his wife the next time she tries to send him to the doctor. He was told his diabetes/high blood sugar probably caused the stroke.4 -

Excellent decision--remove temptation! My husband saved what he wanted, but the rest of the cookies I baked disappeared at church this morning. See you in Round 63!3 -

12/14 -216.4 I think some of the water retention from working out this week is now gone.
12/15 -215.8 Weird night last night. Wind storm in the area and power went out at about 6:30pm and didn't get back on until 12:30am. Ended up going to bed early and in turn woke up extra early. Plan is to take dog out for 3 mile walk today during a break in the storm. Going out for lunch and going to the symphony later today. Goal is to get water in today.
12/16 -216.4 Water weight from lunch yesterday. I tried to make sure that I didn't eat anything that I shouldn't, but I wasn't going to worry too much if there was some ingredient in my meal that is on my do not eat list. Went to the gym today and did some weightlifting. Today I am relaxing, watching football, and making sure I work on getting my water in.
12/17 -216.9 Feeling heavy today. I ate a lot more calories than usual yesterday. I ate a whole avocado yesterday, something I never do, and even though I know avocados have a lot of calories, it wasn't until I was reviewing my diary yesterday evening did I realize the % of my daily calories that went to that avocado. It was a lot, but it tasted so good. Lesson learned, everything in moderation. This morning I was looking at my comments and noticed that over the weekend I was working on getting my water in, something that I attempt to work on every weekend and something that doesn't happen. This morning I realized that who cares if I don't get my water in over the weekend. I want to live an 80/20 life and not worry about things that for me right now aren't that important. So, while I don't get all the water I should be getting in during the weekend, I still get more than enough water during the week. Right now I'm focusing on exercising, consistent logging, eating at a slight deficit, and following my elimination diet. Whether I get enough water in on the weekends or not who cares!
12/18 -216.7 Plan was to take dog out for a 3 mile walk last night, but the wind combined with the rain kept me from doing much of a walk. Very proud that I went to the gym this morning even though I woke up at 2 in the morning and couldn't get back to sleep until 3. My husband has done a lot of Christmas baking, luckily I'm still on my elimination diet, so I haven't been tempted to eat his treats. Of course I'm snacking on other foods, but that's besides the point.
12/19 -216.4 Up and down and up and down; however, I have weighed in every day lower than my average weight last round. Yoga tonight
12/20 -216.7 Did my weightlifting this morning before work. For the first time in 3 weeks I ate something that contained cow's milk in it. Immediately after I ate it I felt so tired and had some heartburn, I will have to talk to my nutritionist about it on Saturday. It will be interesting to hear what she has to say.
12/21 -217.3 I have sinus pressure again this morning. I think it was the milk. Today was a day of relaxing.
12/22 -216.9 Had a 3 mile walk with dog.
12/23 -DNW Out of town celebrating Christmas early with in-laws. Went to the gym at the hotel this morning and was really good with my eating over the weekend; however, I had 3 pieces of chocolate today and will probably feel some effects of that in the next couple of days. Nutritionist yesterday told me I still need to continue with what I am doing, but she has allowed me to put back almonds into my diet. Considering I rarely eat almonds this was not something that I was very excited about. She gave me an eggless almond cookie recipe that I am supposed to try and take note of any effects the almonds has on my body.

Hi My Friends - Returning & New! Have a wonderful Round!
12/14 154.6
12/15 154.8
12/16 155.8
12/17 155.0 Away for the weekend, tracked all, & remained under calories burned. Ate slowly & kept walking. Pleased❣Feels like I’m getting the hang of this.
I decided I REALLY wanted to get to 150. I’m curious what I will look like. This is what’s keeping me going atm.
12/18 153.4 My New Lowest Weight!
BMI of 23.0 ❣
Wasn’t hungry, so for the first time, I listened to it, rather than forcing myself to eat. Ate ~1400 calories. Burned ~ 2400 calories with YouTube Zumba & Lisa Sansone videos [First time for both] & a 40 minute walk after dinner with DH + 2 hours of Physical Therapy exercises (not counted).
12/19 153.4again!! Trend wt hit 154.0 for first time!!
However I have had two chocolate squares & 5 cookies (all carefully tracked) today. I’m under calories, but it’s not been very nutritious.
Question: should I throw out the cookies that 2 friends brought me? Or give them to teen boys across the street?
12/20 155
Part One: So, yesterday was the one Xmas party I decided to go to, my art group, and it was Lovely! And I was doing great (moved away from buffet, only ate what I brought & new calories of, drank lots of hot tea, and ate beforehand) UNTIL a latecomer brought a bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies. I had not anticipated facing non-home cooked food. I had one. Went back, had a second. And yes, went back & had a third. Really savored each bite of the 3rd, only somewhat so for the first two. When I woke up this morning, I realized why. We used to eat these all the time. Almost like I went on automatic pilot. Took a walk. Ate two squares of chocolate someone else gave me while cleaning my art room.
Plan for next year: bring something for the buffet & pack my own meal with a healthier treat or two. Reason: I got too hungry & I can’t control what folks bring.
Part Two:
Two former colleagues came to my house. I thought only one was coming, and she wanted to bring cookies. I nicely said, you don’t need to- I’ve got dark chocolate, nuts, fruit, berries. Both of them showed up with 1) homebaked & 2) delicious chocolate chip cooks (maybe 2-3 dozen) and neither wanted to eat anything. So I made my latte, got my almonds & Kashi. All good. UNTIL they left. Opened the choc chip, ate two slowly. Put the lid on, and put them all out of sight. Calories still good for the day, but I hop on Ex Bike to do a HIIT, to hopefully use sine of the sugar. Later, had hubby put them in his car, so I wouldn’t hearing them call my name all night.
Plan for next year: “Wow, this is so sweet of you! (Do any of you have a way I can return them so they can gift them to someone else?)
Part 3:
I’m thinking ok, small healthy dinner. Calories are low. I’ve survived, UNTIL DH calls & asks if I’d like to go out to dinner with him. I couldn’t say no. So, I kept peddling on bike until he got home!
And I thought what would a person in tune with their body’s needs do. So I ignored menu’s constraints, and asked waiter If I could please have a piece of grilled salmon with green beans? “Sure, no problem!” Wow! Blew my mind.
Ate that, a bit too much bread, and 1/3 of a choc mousse. Stomach didn’t feel comfortable, so asked hubby to go for a nighttime walk with me. Felt all better!
Plan for next time: One piece of bread WITH the dinner. Keep ordering what my body needs- not what’s on the menu. Realize too much bread & water makes my stomach feel a little uncomfortable.
SO, I learned a lot! I have to control the foods I’m exposed to.
And then I looked at my macros/micros
high fat grams
Extremely high saturated fat grams 😳
High carb
Extremely high sodium 😳
Protein - perfect
Fiber- good but almost half what I usually have.
I used to eat this way ALL the time. OMG
SO grateful for this Health Journey. SO proud of ALL of us for fighting the good fight.
I’m dieting from here until I reach 150. Totally because I want to. This pop up in wt is sodium related. My focus is Health & that means solid nutrition. One day won’t hurt, but many days would.
Dec 21 155 Walked a ton, big deficit, eating mindfully, lots of water.
Dec 22 153.6 I asked hubby, do I look a little overweight, Average, Average-thin, or thin. He said, “average-thin & get some new pants, they’re baggy!” LOL I guess I AM almost there because he always tells me the honest truth!
Dec 23 155.0 Given the weekend away, eating out, Xmas party...I’ll take it! I’m definitely feeling & looking leaner!
I’ve weighed 155 or below 11 of the past 12 days. It’s progress, for sure. I’m sure I’ll drop back to the 153.x’’s once I stop going to restaurants❣️
150 lbs, here I come! Slowly & steadily. See you in Round 63!
5 of 78.3 pounds to go! 😀
Note to self: your original goal in 3 years was 169, then 155, so don’t feel bad that you’re not 150 by Jan 1. You’ve got this. Keep with the easy, tiny goals6 -

I want this round to be the start of building consistency and habit in eating mindfully. Maybe throw in a little exercise. And if I can lose 1-2 pounds, that would be even better.
12/14 -147.5; I shouldn't be surprised by this because yesterday was full of salt and carbs. There's a part of me that keeps hoping that those delicious things won't have an impact, but they do. Today will be better.
12/15 -Traveling and no scale...I tried to be a little bit good, but had a too much fun at a holiday party.
12/16 -Traveling and no scale...I also had Taco Bell so I'm sure that wasn't the best idea.
12/17 -147.4; Down .1 pounds from my starting weight. Given that I didn't put as much effort as I should have, I'll take that as a positive. I'm back on my normal daily schedule now and back to intermittent fasting. I'm looking forward to some time off from work in the next few days so I can start easing myself back into a routine for working out and meal prep.
12/18 -147.7; I'm disappointed. I know it's a small gain, but I did really well yesterday. I was very deliberate about what I ate, had plenty of water, lots of veggies, etc. It's probably catch-up from a couple of days ago, but I really hate how it seems to take so much effort to see progress and so little to undo everything :-\ Today is a new day, though, and I'll try again.
12/19 -147.2; Feeling a little better today. It seems like I have a 2 day lag when it comes to weight, whether I've eaten well or poorly. I'm making an effort to be mindful again today and doing some meal prep because I'm off thru the new year. I'll start going to the gym as well...perhaps tonight, but definitely tomorrow morning.
12/20 -145.9; One of the best things about this exercise is that I'm learning more about how my body works. Gains seem to be pretty instantaneous (carbs, binging, sodium, etc) but losses seem to have a 2-3 day delay. It really reinforces the need for consistency, otherwise I'm going to keep seeing these swings. Today is a new day so I'm ready to try and make it a good one!
12/21 -146.7; Trying hard to not be disappointed. I did well yesterday, even worked out. Will try to do the same today.
12/22 -145.0; Feeling a bit more optimistic today. Going to play tennis this afternoon and shoot for another day of mindful eating :-)
12/23 -145.9; Not sure why the uptick, but there's where I ended on the 23rd.
Down a total of 1.6 pounds from where I started 10 days ago, which isn't too bad. I know that I could have done more, which I will for the next round :-)7 -

🍬12/14⛄142.6 a small fluctuation but only because TOM has made me bloat like crazy, i am actually surprised it isn't more. Drank 2 liters of water, exercised good, ate under Calories and got in over 18000 steps. Over all a very good day yesterday so I was expecting a loss but that is ok, only means a nice whoosh is in store for me.. hopefully🤞
❄12/15🎁 142.4 expected a little more of a loss. Had chocolate 😬 my mom brought tons of goodies from a Christmas party she went too and I couldn't help myself. 18000 steps and great workouts!! Felt like I was walking all day, my legs were so sore.
🍭12/16⛄ no weigh in. I went crazy yesterday. We had two birthday parties and although I started out doing really good, somewhere along the line my will power dropped and then I couldn't stop eating, not to mention I didn't exercise either because the house was packed of people and that would have felt awkward. Only 5000 steps and although I know I didn't walk too much yesterday it still was a surprise to see such a low number because I did some Christmas shopping yesterday. This fit bit has really been opening my eyes to what my day to day looks like for sure. I noticed that i was being accurate when it comes to my workouts but I also didn't realize that depending on what you eat, it lessens the burn calories, for example on Friday I had an 800 calorie burn but after eating the goodies my daily calorie burn dipped to 600...I'm still figure everything out. If anyone knows more about this, please feed me information lol. I was too intimidated to weigh today because of yesterday's craze day, which I know I shouldn't be and I should have weighed to keep myself accountable but I was too intimidated. I have to be good today though and for the rest of the week if I want to meet my goal by next Saturday. It's not impossible to loose 2-3 more pounds but I am really going to have to work for it since I noticed my losses have slowed down, considerably.
🕯12/17💈144.6 crazy weekend. I usually don't go off the rails two days in a row but I just couldn't keep it together. Bahhhh! It's ok though, i know this month is about doing what you can and letting go of the rest. I still have five days to attempt my goal, i will just have to be diligent. Got in over 10,000 steps yesterday and 1.2 liters Of water, exercise still wasn't great but I did manage a 45 min strength exercise late last night and a 30 min speed walk. This week will be full of holiday baking, i am planning to have pre cut fruits and veggies around so I don't overkill the "taste testing" lol Here we go guys, the harder days are upon us... get to your battle stations!!! 🤺🤼♂️🤼♂️🤺
🤶12/18🎅 142.6 so happy to see this number, although slightly confused. LNS got to me. I need to get rid of these baked goods that seem to make their way into my house, i have enough worry about the baked goods I will be preparing, i don't need others to also effect me..on the bright side though, they were delicious. Nothing is worse then eating something you shouldn't and not enjoying it. I got in my exercise yesterday, drank 1 liter of water, 10 933 steps but my eating was terrible. Right now, because of all the upcoming dinners, i don't have a good amount of fruits or vegetables, my fridge is currently packed with meat and ingredients for sides 😥😥😥 I don't think I have ever seen my fridge look so unhealthy.
👼12/19🎀 142.4 volleyball was great, although we lost all our games. Yikes!! Some of my team mates are kind of getting on my nerves, we signed up for fun..Although it is a league, it's a recreational league which means it isn't for advanced or intermediate players...just newbies but they still managed to take it so seriously. We have some good people on our team but they don't seem to realize it isn't the new people messing up that is resulting in our losses, it is the good players deciding to play the wkhole field and not staying in their own position that is messing us up..they are so concerned about the newbies they aren't where they should be. I am happy yesterday was the last game before the holidays because I don't know how long I would have gone without saying something. Anyway, this pesky weight is really making me work for it. Exercised good yesterday, drank 1 liter of water 9271 steps and under calories. I am hoping this drops soon 😥😥
⛄12/20🍬144.4 and up we go 😥😥 last night was the one month mass for my aunt and we had a ton of people over for an evening. Felt like I was on my feet all day, preparing and cooking, managed over 13000 steps but at the same time I also ended up eating a ton. Even though I controlled myself and only had a nibble here and there it still managed to overkill my calories. I'm sure I will be down tomorrow back to my 142 but I don't think I will manage to leave the 140s behind me for my birthday..that's ok though, i have made my peace. I have to remind myself that in November of last year I was around the same weight but come January I was 160 and continued rising...this year I have managed to loose and maintain..so I am happy
🎁12/21❄ 143.6 Yesterday was ..difficult to say the least. My hubby got off work early and decided to take me out for a birthday dinner, i got a lettuce wrapped burger which was good but also had already eaten a lot of my calories so still ended up a little over. Exercise was more difficult than usual...it was just one of those days where I did my workout but wasn't feeling up to it at all, for the whole time...i am proud I still got one in, regardless of how little I wanted to do and how little energy I had during. Managed over 9000 steps and 1.x amount of water. Today I made myself an oreo crust ice cream cake from scratch with a homemade fudge sauce all this is for my birthday tomorrow (or since I am posting so late it would be today 😛😛) but was really good with keeping my hands out of the cookie jar yay! NSV for sure, that never happens to me. I will be ok with what the scale says tomorrow, even if it isn't my goal and I will be ok with not reaching my goal for this Round. Tomrrow I am looking to give myself a mental rest and enjoy my birthday. I have worked hard and there will always be so many days afterwards to be more in control.
🎂12/22🎂 142.4 today I will not be logging and will just enjoy my day 😃
☃️12/23🍭no weigh in...was too scared after the pizza and ice cream cake I made myself last night for my birthday. Here is to a better round next round

Thank you abowersgirl. Those of us with December birthdays don't have it easy when it comes to this time of year! I hope it all went well.
I spent 3 days with my son, then home for a day before 2 days with my daughter. I should have been going back to my daughter's house for New Year's day but she's not well.
At least at home I won't be tempted to overeat and I can weigh all my food again.

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday...if I missed replying to you it was because I'm still learning to navigate all these discussions - and this one moves quite fast.1
