12/14 - 240.0...went out to a movie for the first time in a while last night, had lots of popcorn and chocolate.
12/15 - No weigh in...been up since 2:30 with my son (he just didn't feel like sleeping). Had a bad eating day yesterday, a lot of LNS and a couple of adult beverages. My son has breakfast with Santa and 2 birthday parties this weekend so probably not going to be eating the best. I WILL get myself back on track by Monday, still want to be in the 230's by the end of the year.
12/16 - didn't weigh
12/17 - no weigh in...another morning of son waking super early. The past week has been bad for food, definitely have gained a few more pounds since last weighing. Back on track today..have the gym planned for tonight..haven't been in months.
12/18 - 243.4...not happy with myself for all this crappy eating. Did not get back on track yesterday at all and still didn't get to the gym 🙁 son was up most of the night coughing.
12/19 - no weigh in, just completely forgot to do it this morning, my son slept in until 6:30 this morning and I think it threw me off lol. Had another bad day food wise yesterday. Going to water aerobics this morning though and going to try to get back on track.
12/20 - no weigh in. Went to water aerobics yesterday and did a fair amount of walking (shopping) but had Chinese for supper and had potato skins and a very large frozen white Russian at 9:30pm! We went to go bowling but the place was packed, not one parking spot, so we went to the restaurant for a drink instead..and I course we couldn't have it without appetizers. Also very little water yesterday.
12/21 - I weighed this morning but I'm not adding it 🙁 I'm sick of myself at this point, I'm just using Christmas as a excuse to eat everything in sight (some things I don't even enjoy) and I'm undoing all of my hard work. Not anymore though, today is the end of that..back in a good mind set and staying on track. Probably not going to happen, but would still like to be in the 230's by the end of the year.
12/22 - 243.2...drank 150 or 175 oz of water yesterday to try and clear out some water weight and I think it helped. Ended up going over calories but not by nearly as much as I have been.
12/23 - 241.4...Drank a lot of water again yesterday and I think I've gotten rid of all the water weight. Now I just need to lose 1.5lbs to make my end of year goal! Gained 2.4lbs this round, but very happy it wasn't more. See you all in the next round!9 -

This is going to be a difficult week
12/14 - 11st 12lb - no loss, but no gain - so I'm ok. Had a choice of a lot of food yesterday evening but just had
one small cake and biscuit, instead of several sweet offerings, including mince pies. Kept within calories.
12/15 - 11st 12.2lb - disappointed because, as always, I weighed everything yesterday and I kept within my calorie allowance and due to walking I also had a good calorie deficit so could easily have had more.
12/16 - 11st 12.8lb - another increase. I weighed and measured everything yesterday and my calorie intake was 1161 calories. I've not yet got to the party days!!!!
12/17 - 11st 12lb Phew - back to starting weight of this round. I had to guess the calories of my intake yesterday. Looks like I didn't do too bad a job, although my macros were not the best
12/18 - 11st 12.2lb - should not have had that biscuit! Had 1253 calories, only ate some of my exercise calories.
Woke up last night with toothache and a bad cold, and I've been sneezing all day.
I made an appointment with the dentist for tomorrow, but I think I will have to cancel meeting my friend due to my cold. I cannot believe that this has happened when I have 4 events in a row from tomorrow - the way I feel I won't be able to go to any of them. I don't want to spoil anyone's Christmas. I haven't been able to eat all my calories today - I had one good meal and one snack, but cannot face anything else.
12/19 - 11st11.6lb Meeting friend at cafe as a pre birthday meet up. Cancelled meeting with friend as I am still sneezing. Also cancelled visit to dentist which I've temporarily rebooked for Friday, but able to cancel if still not well.
12/20 - 11st10.4 My birthday and a Christmas party? with my book group. Weight loss likely to be due to night sweats. However I woke up feeling much better and my temperature has gone from 100.2 to 97.4. (I'm always lower than the average 98.4 when I'm ok) Not sure if I'll go to the party tonight - it depends how I feel nearer the time.
12/21 - 11st 10lb - Went out last night as I was feeling much better. Even managed to lose weight by being careful with the buffet despite having banoffee cheesecake with cream! Just a few presents to wrap for tonight's family get together for Christmas and my birthday/meal out.
Thanks to everyone for my birthday wishes yesterday.
12/22 - 11st 11.4lb - I had 240 calories for brunch yesterday and then it was the Birthday/Christmas family meal out. I just had what I wanted which was macaroni cheese and chips (which I shared) and cheese cake to follow. I also had a 20cl bottle of prosecco. The result of this is a 1.4lb gain. Oh well, it's the eve/eve party today with friends (a day earlier than usual) but I want to be back to my 1200 calories. I now have 45 minutes to get ready to go out and wrap 6 silly presents, which is the tradition for this group of family/friends
12/23 - 11st 11.6lb - I was hoping I'd not put weight on yesterday. I have, but only .2lb. I was careful with my choices at the party, but did have 3 glasses of prosecco which was probably what gave me too many calories. One day at home before going to my son's house for Christmas. I usually have Champagne on Christmas day, but there will only be the two of and I doubt if he will have any of it. I could take a small bottle of prosecco instead, or maybe I should cut out the alcohol altogether so I can eat more delicious food.9 -

I’ll be honest- I’m not in 100% yet. I am getting in the habit of weighing & posting each morning. Come Jan 7th I’m in 100%. Until then I’m aware of my eating & activities and posting every day. Just keeping it real.
12/20 not cool. I know I’m not 100% in but my word! I’m not 100% out for Pete’s sake!!!! Ok - that is going to be the highest weight I post.
12/21 Schwew! That was a close one. Woke up early weighed 196.6, back to bed & re-weighed when I got up for the day. 196.0. So I stuck to my yesterday post of “that is going to be the highest weight I post” I’ll take it! So my new R62 goal is to get back to my R62SW

12/15 174 One thing I love about my job is that we close for an extended Christmas break - I am off now until Jan 2. We are heading to New York for a couple of days. Exercise will be good - lots of walking, but food maybe tricky. DS2 is travelling with us and we need to choose restaurants that work with his sensory issues. Have a great weekend everyone.

12/13 - 252.0 - End R61 - starting weight for this round.
12/14 - 253.4 - Nothing to worry about. 3168 cals yesterday. I was super hungry all day and gave in to it. For the 3 days before yesterday, my calories averaged 1506/day and that seems to be my "1200". I can't do too many days in a row at that level. I can lose a lot of weight quickly but I get too hungry & tired. That's without even exercising. I should probably aim for at least 1600 - 1700 per day and perhaps that would help me avoid the high calorie days. ***ETA: I just changed my daily goal to 1700. Hopefully that'll help me find a balance.
12/15 - 254.4 - Oops! I seem to sabotage my efforts whenever I get close to a milestone. 4010 calories yesterday!
12/16 - 254.6 - I did okay yesterday (1721) and we went for a nice, long walk but it's going to take a few days to turn around from two very high calorie days. I changed my limit back to 1500 this morning. I have to find those wits!
12/17 - 254.6 - My backsliding all started way back on the 1st Saturday of December when I had a meal out and some cookies & cake afterwards. Then I made some fudge for John to take to work and that I got in to, along with the left over ingredients. It seems I've had a rough ride since.

12/19 - 254.0 - I'll be happy if I can finish this round at the same weight I started it. Whew!
12/20 - 253.8 - I need to buy some apples to snack on after dinner. Too many nuts & chocolate ... again.

12/23 - 254.8 - It looks bad but I'm okay with this. What happened this round is very typical of all my weight loss attempts. I do really well and then I sabotage myself with lots & lots of overeating. Almost like I'm afraid to let go and fear change. I'm going to keep at it though and keep trying and keep doing rounds and that's the positive that I'll take from this.

OK, the self-delusion is over and I'm not going to kid myself into eating more cookies & candies. I've had more the past week than I've had in the past 4 years! OTOH, I am back to regular walking (though not up to my goal time yet - amazing how quickly we get out of shape) and I started walk/run intervals yesterday. So I'm adding exercise minutes to my accountability for this session. I do think some of this extra weight is water, but I don't like the trend, so I've had a stern talk with myself! I'm off to get blood drawn to recheck inflammation levels - I hope they're down more, but in any case I feel quite a bit better other than pain in my shoulders, esp. in the morning.

Time lag from Wed & Thurs excesses, but I ate better yesterday and walked an hour. I also am thrilled that my lab tests show my inflammation is way down from what it was, though still slightly elevated, and I am more determined than ever not to take prednisone long term. So while I will continue to enjoy the season for the next 10 or so days, I'm veering back toward the anti-inflammation/elimination approach to eating that I was on for much of the summer and fall to try to get back in the normal zone. I'm also going to start running intervals again 3 days a week (I haven't for almost a year so I'm really out of shape!) and, if I can haul myself out of bed at 5 am, to swim laps several days a week. Still within my holiday boundaries, but I don't like the trend. This week I'm baking for a gathering on Thursday and my BD is on Sat, so I'm planning to eat clean and low today through Wed. I've also noticed an uptick in my pain level, and suspect it's related to my much higher-than-normal added sugar intake. I've been on a baking kick - weird for me! - and have started collecting healthier recipes to try. The urge will probably subside after the holidays!

I ate better yesterday - no sweets at all - and I got to the Y for walk/run intervals, although the track was so crowded with slow walkers and little kids that I finally gave up. Don't get me wrong - more power to everyone who gets out there to walk! But walking together and taking up both lanes is a bit much. Anyway, I'll go earlier today! Haven't been able to get myself up to swim at 5:30 when it's 19 degrees out, though - working on it. I hope everyone who celebrates a holiday this time of year is handling the stresses and the joys of the season well.

Sodium...we went to Fazoli's yesterday for lunch. I also baked an orange-glazed cranberry-pecan loaf, and ate a piece (but no dinner). But I got myself to the gym and am working back up to my old walking levels. Heading back there in an hour or so. More baking today for an event tomorrow, and I'm going to a Contemplative Vespers this evening. I'm not particularly stressed by the holidays as it's just me, DH, and friends, but the service sounds lovely. I hope those of you who are swamped by the season also take time to find quiet times and peace.

I didn't get to the gym yesterday, but was on my feet a lot so I'll take that. I also didn't drink my usual gallons of water, so I think the uptick may be partially due to that. Since my goal for "the season" has been not to exceed 135, I'm not unhappy with where I am. I'm also very impressed by everyone here who's losing or holding steady! Yay!

I'm still on a bit of a baking spree - unusual for me - and last night I made buttermilk cornbread from scratch. It was yummy (& high-cal) with veggie chili (low cal). I'm thinking of baking myself a cake tomorrow for my birthday - and by "for myself" does not mean I plan to eat the whole thing! I've given myself until Dec 26 to get this baking frenzy out of my system, and I plan to be back on a normal healthy track before New Year, and probably try the auto-immune paleo protocol soon after to see if I can kill the rest of this inflammation. I also have a new weight goal for 2019 of 125, but I don't mind if it takes all year to get there. I did get to the gym last night and walked the track for an hour. Have a wonderful holiday weekend, all!

I've lost, at least temporarily, the little notebook in which I've been recording my weight, cals, & averages - it's a sign, I'm sure, but does it mean that it's time to be mindful but not obsessive, or that I'm losing more than fat? Anyway, it's my birthday, so going out for dinner with DH, and I also baked myself a birthday cake last night - lemon, from scratch. Still have to ice it, but it smells fabulous! Now to invite people over to eat most of it so I don't! Have a lovely weekend, all!

12/15 146 Seen this coming, not nearly enough water lately and too much junk food, and fast food last night. Reminds me of why I can't eat like that all the time.
12/16 146 Feeling very thirsty and hungry. I increased my calories from 1200 to 1380 because it seemed I was always eating back my exercise calories and sometimes more. I'll probably change it back after the first of the year.
12/17 147 Honestly I wasn't going to weigh myself this morning. Then I thought, no I will weigh but keep it to myself. I need to hold myself accountable. We are all here to support and share our journey, and show one another that we all struggle from time to time and have off days. Yesterday I ate so bad. Had a big lunch because we went out to eat and I ate so many carbs- comfort food. Was going to let that be the only thing I ate and then I had cereal late last night- not just 1 bowl. "Trying" to make today a light day and going to try to stay out of the cereal tonight.
12/18 Unsure.. I weighed myself this morning but the scale was all over the place, so gonna wait and see what it says tomorrow. My "plan" is to eat mostly clean the rest of the week because with Christmas being next week and having 3 places to go.. well you all know. Hope everyone is having a great week 😊.

12/22 145 Everyone wanted pizza thursday night and I ended up eating some. That was the best pizza ever though, or it's just been so long since I've eaten it . Yesterday my father in law brought us fast food. So the past 2 days haven't been good food wise at all. Today will be a better day.

am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after.
I need to step up my game if I want to meet any of my goals.

12/17 - 261.4 (+1.0) Today was my no sleep Monday. Off work at 6AM from a 12 hour shift, 4 hour nap and back until 11PM. Tomorrow will be the day I bust into the 250's!
12/18 - 259.4 (-2.0) BOOM! Made it to the 250's and it feels so good! Super excited to spend the next few weeks trying to destroy these next 10 lbs! Motivated and Proud!
12/19 - 257.6 (-1.8) WHAT! Going to the gym and eating healthy is key to losing weight but do not forget how important it is to let your body rest and digest. I have not been to the gym for a couple of days instead ate right and rested. The numbers seem to agree with that statement.
12/20 – 257.6 (-0) Must have been that brownie last night. HAHA! Oh well tomorrow is another day!

12/14 - Traveling no scale. I drove the 4 hours to St. Louis with the boyfriend. Went out for a nice dinner; I think I did well calorie wise. A half salad and half a flat bread - no dessert but 1 vodka cranberry spritzer thingy. First alcohol I have had in over a year (nothing to do with weight I just don't enjoy it that much anymore) got back to the hotel room and crashed. It's amazing to me 30 years ago I could go thru a fifth of whisky in a night and still be partying, now I have one spritzer and I'm knocked out.
12/15 - 186.5 Drove home yesterday. Weighed high due to TOM. It will be gone in the next few days.
12/16 - 184.3 Goodbye extra weight. Walked four miles in the cold sunshine yesterday and will probably do the same thing today though it's slightly colder. Went out with girlfriends last night and was bad. Yep I had a DELICIOUS sandwich but stopped at half. I had set this rounds goal low because I'll be baking later in the week and I'm on vacation. We'll see what I can stick to this round. It's challenging.
12/17 - 184.9 Up a little, it will go back down. I had a wonderful 4.75 mile walk yesterday. I wanted to get 5 in but I was with a partner and she wasn't feeling that last quarter mile. It's all good because I had only expected 4 but it was just so nice that we kept going. Today is the first day of my vacation. I need to finish decorating the house and get in a walk. I sound obsessive about getting in the walks but these outside walks help my mental health more than you can imagine. I was worried I would slow down with the cold and dark but I'm doing ok so far in December. We'll see what January brings. It will start getting lighter earlier but it will be colder.
12/18 - 185 Up again. I'm on stay-cation this week. Yesterday I went to a Vietnamese place for lunch and brought leftovers home for dinner. Stayed under calories but I'm going to assume that weight is a reflection of the sodium. I walked 3 miles yesterday and plan on doing another 3 today. If it's in the 50's in December you HAVE to go outside it's an unwritten law. Tuesday is usually gym day but since it's so nice I think I'll do both I'm excited because I also have a doctors appointment this afternoon and there is a cool trail near his office. There may be pictures. Stay-cation woo!!!!!!!!!!
12/19 - 184.2 This feels better. All the excess weight from my Vietnamese sodium fest and TOM are gone. I got in a beautiful 2 mile walk yesterday before my doctors appointment. Finding new fun trails is my new favorite thing. I would almost go back to explore more of that today but I really don't have time for the drive and the walk. I did weights after the doctors appointment. I was pretty worn after both of that and did not get as much done around the house as I had planned.
12/20 - 182.2 I have no idea where this came from but I'm not going to complain. I got on the scales a couple of times, moved it thinking somehow it's not level but it still came up with the magical number that puts me over 30 pounds lost! Yesterday I walked 3.2 miles then came home to clean and decorate. Having my niece and her baby over today to finish decorating and do some Christmas baking. Send me "stay out of the dough" vibes please.
12/21 - 183.2 Down two pounds yesterday, up a pound today. I felt yesterday was an anomaly and today seems a bit more reasonable. I did ok with cooking yesterday. One haystack, one chocolate marshmallow candy, and 2 choc chip cookies. Not exactly "clean" but I didn't eat one cookie from every batch which I have done in the past . I still need to make 2 sugar cookies and gumdrop cookies.
12/22 - 183 I'm happy with that. I had no hope for this round with being on vacation and cooking a lot but I'm doing fine. We'll see what happens a week from now. Only two cookies yesterday. I still haven't made the others but I'm going to as soon as I'm done writing this. Though maybe breakfast first so I don't eat everything. I did get in three miles yesterday and plan on another 3 today if I can find the time between baking and shopping. Merry Christmas everyone!!! OH I got my Christmas present from my boyfriend yesterday - an Apple Watch! Now I can track my steps more accurately than before. He supports all my changes, in that I am very lucky.
12/23 - 183.2 Up from yesterday but still down 2.2 for the round, couldn't be happier about it. I had a bad reaction to some medicine yesterday and got sick while walking around Target. Got sick on the way home and spent several hours in bed/bathroom, it was miserable and NO walk. Weird day, felt fine by bedtime. First Christmas dinner today, may the odds be forever in your favor.

12/16 - 176.6 - 58g carbs, 54g net carbs. The non vegetable carbs were: Yes pretzels, but dip IS tastier with them. Onion dip. Macadamia nuts.
12/17 - 174.6 - 47g carbs, 46g net carbs. Fried chicken and some pretzels. Visited my sister and brother yesterday. I saw my brother about 5 months ago, but I have not seen my sister for 3 years and then just briefly. We looked over old family photos and reminisced about our two brothers who have passed. Started Keto WOE on September 24th (2018). Still experiencing decreased arthritis hip and shoulder pain since the second week of Keto. Staying within calorie limits is easy enough, but not exceeding my carb limit is difficult. Per my KetoMojo meter, I’m in ketosis most of the time. Some of my NSVs: my wedding band fits, I wear smaller clothing, and my progress has encouraged my husband to try harder to end his cigarette habit.
Rounds 54 – 61 resulted in a cumulative loss of 24 lb.!

12/14 151.6 Starting with a loss—I like that. Until now, I haven’t established a round goal, but, this time, my goal is to get below 150 and never exceed that number again. I changed my final goal weight to a range. In that range, I'll be able to wear my size 6 slacks/jeans again, without looking too skinny. In my younger days, prior to the early 1990's and rampant vanity sizing, a regular size 10 was equivalent to today's size 6. I read that Marilyn Monroe was a size 14, which would probably make her about a size 10 in today's sizing. Of course, I've noticed, in general, that the more expensive the clothing, the more generous the sizing. (My only expensive clothing is used. ) Whatever, my goal is getting closer, and I'm excited!
12/15 151.6 I was a little over on calories yesterday, so I’m happy not to see a gain. Today, I’ll try to get in a short walk. The knee is only a little sore now. I’ll find my knee sleeve before I go and keep the walk short. I must be patient and let it heal. Confession: I use my own success post from 2012, linked above, to encourage myself.
12/16 151.6 I think this number will go down tomorrow; we’ll see. Thor and I walked 3 miles yesterday, and it was a beautiful day. I wore my knee sleeve and iced my knee afterward. It feels almost normal today. Thor tried to pull me up a hill so he could chase a deer that ran across the road. I suppose I should be grateful for his assistance. I started the walk singing “Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul” and added a lot of made up verses thanking God for food and shelter, sunshine and rain, family and friends, and on and on. When I ran out of verses, I sang Christmas Carols. Having plenty of breath to sing is one upside of walking slow. 😊
12/17 151.4 Not much of a drop, but better than a gain. Thor and I walked 4 miles today, and I had very slight knee pain and no toe pain. I ordered custom orthotics from the orthopedist today and got a fresh foot wrap to keep me going until it’s ready for me. Today, three people told me to forget about running again, including my husband. The doctor put in his notes that I’m a trouble-maker. Perhaps I should consider their advice, but it would be a shame not to wear out my new running shoes! 🤔
12/18 150.8 I expected a lower number, until I tried my wedding band before getting on the scale. My fingers are swollen again. Today, I must spend most of my time in front of the computer completing tests I need to pass before tax season begins. I’d rather be outside enjoying the sunshine, but I’m thankful for extra income, especially since, last night, I signed up for a cruise in April to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the end of tax season. I see I have five more days to lose another pound and get below 150. I will press on!
12/19 150.4 My hope for seeing the 140’s by the end of the round is still alive. I have more computer work, but hope to be done by 3 pm so Thor and I can take a walk. I’m going to have to break down and do some cookie baking, too. I have to take snacks to the nursing home this weekend. I’m also going to try some keto-friendly cookies and pecan pie. I hope the pie is good, because I don’t want to waste pecans.
12/20 150.0 I’m on the edge of my round goal. Thor and I got in a walk yesterday. It was thundering when we left, and I turned around at 1.6 miles when I felt rain drops. They got bigger as we made our way home, but we didn’t get drenched. Thank you, Lord! Today is my Bunco group Christmas party, followed by more tax preparation exams. Have a blessed day, everyone!
12/21 150.0 (sigh) Stuck again, but there’s hope for tomorrow! I still have two days to meet my round goal (below 150). I will make myself go in the kitchen and make some sweets (at least one low carb) to take to a Christmas party at the nursing home tomorrow. It’s a beautiful, sunny day, so Thor and I will be out for a walk this afternoon. Then, I must go into town, pick up three gifts for small children, and finish a tax certification exam. The exam won’t take long, and I’ll be finished with the pre-tax season work. That’s always a relief. Oh, and I can’t forget to go to the Christmas Party at our pizza parlor. 12/22 150.8 (I post with a sheepish grin.) I cooked four batches of cookies yesterday, and ate a quality control cookie for each batch. I should have saved that job for my husband! I will forgive myself and press on. Thor and I had a nice 3.5 mile walk yesterday and enjoyed the Christmas party without indulging in wine or sweets. Whizzerville Hall, featured in the above video, is where the party was held. We enjoyed seeing friends and enjoyed the band. We’re meeting my husband’s kids and grands at the nursing home Christmas party today. My husband’s mother, 96, is a resident there. My boys called this morning, and they can all get together with us on the 30th. It’ll just be my husband and me for Christmas, but there’s no one else I’d rather spend Christmas with. 😊
12/23 150.8 My food choices were very limited yesterday afternoon, but I chose to eat, anyway. I had two sandwich quarters on white bread and a small pastry at the nursing home party. Sadly, those were my best options, though, in hindsight, I should have opted not to eat. On a good note, we had a good visit with my husband’s kids, grands, and mom. I just checked my ketone level, and it’s 1.5, so that’s encouraging. I didn’t meet my goal to be out of the 150’s, but I’m still almost a pound little below where I started the round. I will rejoice and be glad!
We received an early morning call that our pastor had a mild stroke and is in the hospital this morning. We’ll be without our leader, but decided we’ll meet to pray and worship in song (Christmas carols). I can get rid of more leftover cookies, too!

12/15 - 150.0 (0.0 from yesterday, -.6 from round start. I'm bracing myself for the number likely on the scale tomorrow, after eating both lunch and supper out. Though I did get a 40 minute walk in, and am getting better about not making myself eat all that's served in a restaurant meal. )
12/16 - 151.0 (+1.0 from yesterday, +.4 from round start. Rather figured that was coming, likely from sodium from yesterday's food. I did get to visit my mom yesterday too. She's doing as well as could be expected, though she's a bit bummed that she'll likely be in hospital for the holidays. I reminded her that we could either bring it to her, or we can just do holidays with her when she's out. Planning on knocking out some more light exercise today, and getting serious about that whole "drink more water" thing.)
12/17 - 151.0 (0.0 from yesterday, +.4 from round start. Fingers crossed for a down swing tomorrow. No room to exercise but I was at least generally on my feet more than normal today.)

12/19 - Forgot to weigh. Am determined to get some exercise in this afternoon/evening. Probably just a walk or trip on the elliptical (depends on how compliant my kidlets are as to whether I'll get to walk or have to elliptical after bedtime.)
12/20 - 152.0 (+1.0 from last weigh, +1.4 from round start. *sigh* Ah well, time to refocus. Plus today is the final day away from my food scale.)
12/21 - 151.2 (-0.8 from yesterday, +0.6 from round start. Ah, the right direction again. And might have been a bit better had I not had broken sleep/early wake thanks to my youngest. This is the first day of Christmas break and changes in routine throw him. He was up at 4am today. I'm dragging, but still going to aim for a short & easy walk.)
12/22 - 150.8 (-0.4 from yesterday, +0.2 from round start. I did get a short walk - 15 minutes - in yesterday. This morning was our final holiday party, but it's also nice outside so I went for a 40 minute walk this afternoon. Hope that can even things out and tomorrow's weigh can be the same or lower.)
12/23 - 151.0 (+0.2 from yesterday, +0.4 from round start. Hubby and I had a spontaneous "date night in" after the kids went to bed, with wine & garlic cheese bread. I hadn't planned for it calorie-wise so I'm sure that's why there's a jump back up. However, it's been ages since we've gotten to do that, so I have zero regrets. )
Ending the round within half a pound of my start weight.. that's pretty good for the "maintain" goal that I set. I DID meet my exercise goal, and I have been enjoying the moments this season as they come. Next round's goals will be similar, along with drink more water.11 -

12/15 131.5 I may have mentioned that a friend of ours passed on Monday. This has had a huge impact on Carl which in turn is affecting me. I feel very disorganized this week and am having trouble getting anything accomplished. Carl and I went to a movie (The Mule) and lunch (Cici’s pizza in a bowl) then we came home and he made cookies for Roy’s memorial later this morning.

An hour and a half later, I was still waiting. Today was so much better!

12/21 131.0 Finished the ornaments yesterday afternoon. This morning - Reading and having my BPC before making a cake for my Arts and Crafts potluck at noon. I stopped reading, got the cake in the oven and continued reading everyone’s posts. The cake is out, the berries slightly sweetened and all that remains is making the stabilized whipped cream! And I’m caught up on posts.
12/22 133.0 I knew this wasn’t going to be good. By the time I got home from the pot luckI was feeling bloated and miserable. I got hungry again around 4, which is very unusual and ate my leftovers from Panda Express. Today is a new day and the gain is temporary. But hidden carbs what have you done to me? My tummy wants food at 7:15AM! Not good!
12/23 132.5 Those carbs! We ate at Sweet Tomatoes yesterday. My carbs came almost entirely from salad veggies. I use red wine vinegar on my salad instead of dressing with mystery ingredients. I DO dump on the blue cheese crumbles so probably some carbs there. My KetoMojo registered LO which means I’m out of ketosis. 😢 I can fix this. My average weight is down and I am happy! Christmas Day (evening) is my family gift exchange and Appetizer/Dessert gathering. Wednesday is my out-of-town for Half-off shopping. Thursday the 27th is Pool Hall night (pot luck). Next round will not be much better. Just a battle uphill all the way. I have been trying to get in more cardio and some strength training (Thanks Tish) even if it’s standing by my bed at night before I fall in exhausted. I am still trying to make decent choices everywhere I go, but am definitely enjoying the season (perhaps a bit too much?) . Great round for so many of you. Nice Job! See you in R63.

12/14 - Friday - 174.4 - Salty dinner last night. TOM approaching and I'm ravenous. Just went out and got a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin against my better judgement - I was already planning on eating a frozen pizza for dinner so it puts me at maintenance. Maybe I'll have half the pizza and a salad instead of the whole thing tonight. But again, so starving today so we will see. I dont know if its the undereating catching up to me or TOM but either way - reminding myself that its ok to follow my hunger cues and its not always going to be perfect choices. Remember what over restricting brings? Yeah...binging, well this wasnt a binge just a genuine starving moment and I knew the tiny leftovers lunch I packed was not going to cut it. But I will drink lots of water today so I'm not totally sodium bloated for dress try ons tomorrow. Aiming to maintain last rounds loss since it was a big one and TOM usually spikes the weight.

I did have a wonderful day with my mom Saturday and I found THE DRESS! But we also sampled many cupcakes and ate out afterward...But I was back on plan this morning and I'm moving on from all the crap I ate this weekend. I need to plan the next few days food wise. Lots of food in the house just need to prepare it! Managing stress as best I can this week too but as you all know that is much easier said than done!
12/18 - Tuesday - 175.8 - Ate lunch out yesterday, insatiable at lunch today, leftover pasta and chicken. Also craving lots of sweets but managing that one okay. Haven't logged my food for a few days so no more excuses today! Trying to be kind to myself. Making steak burrito bowls for dinner and extra for lunches tomorrow. Need to keep hitting the water hard today as I'm feeling dehydrated too. Just. keep. swimming.
12/19 - Wednesday - 175.2 - Tried to stop at the lab today to have some blood drawn but it was too busy so I just headed to work. But it was a fasting test so I'm just getting around to eating now. Got some sad news and I'm frustrated about some other work related things so just trying to keep my head up. I did make extra dinner for lunches today, and there was no chocolate left in the house for me to binge on, so it was a good evening eating wise. Dinner for tonight will either be shepherds pie or chicken teriyaki with asian salad. I want the salad - but I wont have lunches for Thursday. Actually, I could split up the last burrito bowl into two smaller servings and add a frozen burrito to both. Okay so salad it is!
12/20 - Thursday - 174.4 - Stuck to the plan and had salad last night. Lunch is pretty salty today since it includes canned chili but its what I got and I'm considering it to be better than the fast food I instinctively want because I'm solo at work today and when no one is there to "watch me" I'm totally guilty of wanting to slip back into old habits. I grabbed a wake up wrap for breakfast to satisfy the fast food craving for only 150 calories instead of something at lunch that would be closer to 1500! Shepherds pie is on the menu for dinner, but I'm going to make it as a half batch because I don't need leftovers for lunch tomorrow (company christmas party) and its a dish I tend to over eat given the chance.
12/21 - 173.6 - Yes to this number! TOM arrived today and I'm in a lot of pain. Today is company christmas party with Italian food - didnt make alternate plans for lunch so it is what it is. I'm going over my moms to avoid a party at my house tonight (its DH's brothers birthday party) and we already planned to indulge. So I really have no idea if I'll finish this round in maintenance, but some relaxing is taking precedent tonight, but I WILL log all my food instead of going completely blind like last week.
12/22 - Saturday - 174.0 - Work party went ok eating wise, I was in such pain though I left earlier than I wanted to. Good thing though cause we came home to a leaky skylight! DH got up on the roof and recaulked it and seems all good but that was not fun either. The birthday party is actually tonight, somehow got our lines crossed on that one so over to mom's tonight for me as im still not feeling up for it. Last night was some kind of miracle that I only ate 1 piece of pizza! Today might be another story but I will log my day and not go in blind, that helped yesterday.
12/23 - Sunday - so I didnt bring my scale to mum's, and I just got home and weighed 174.0 after breakfast, coffee, and a few beverages so I'm just going to call it maintenance for this round because usually I'm up 2-6lbs from my morning weight after eating and drinking, so the 173.4 from the start of the round is probably very close to what this morning would have been! Did good last night going out, enjoyed a little of everything, but didnt stuff myself. The next three days will be to enjoy and not stress. I am hoping to be close to my 170 goal by 1/7, if its a week or two behind thats totally okay with me though. Feeling very grateful for where im at and all ive accomplished so far.
