Hi everyone. I have been on a weight loss journey for about 16 months. I have been using the shot zepbound to help me. I have lost about 65lbs but for the last 3 months I have plateaued. I just joined mfp so I can start being more intentional with my eating habits

    Hi All,

216 pounds with a BMI of 31.6 at the moment. I'd like to get down to below 190 pounds by next summer, and 200 pounds by the end of this year.

Hi, lost 70 pounds a few years ago on Nutrisystem. Gained back 40 of it. 😕 Had used my fitness pal in distant past. I do find it helps me keep track of my intake and gives fun feedback on nutrients. This time around I'm trying semaglutide, too. Today I did well with diet and exercise. One day at a time. 🙂

    Hi everyone!

I’m a 41-year-old male, 172 cm, and just started my fitness and nutrition journey with MyFitnessPal about a month ago. I had almost no dieting experience before, but now I’m discovering how fulfilling and transformative it can be.

I started at 78 kg and recently reached 72.4 kg. My goal is around 66 kg — right in the middle of my BMI range — something that feels light, graceful, and more in tune with how I want to feel in my body.

Due to a busy schedule, I can’t work out much, so I’m focusing on staying within ~1200 kcal daily, occasionally even lower on special days (around 900). I’ve gradually embraced what many might consider “feminine” eating habits — almond milk with low-sugar granola, boiled chicken, fresh fruits and berries, and lots of herbal teas.

I’ve also started enjoying aromatherapy and gentle self-care — things that help me feel calm, clear, centered, and present. A little skincare, a bit of face massage — it all feels like part of a bigger shift. In other words, I’m slowly waging a quiet little war on my old habits, moving toward a healthier, fuller, and more beautiful life. 🌸

I’d love to find like-minded folks here — anyone who enjoys clean, gentle, lower-calorie eating, and finds joy in the lighter side of life. Let’s share tips, encouragement, or just celebrate those little victories together!

Thanks so much for the warm community 💖

    Hi,

Just started on this weight loss journey. Does anyone have any insights on Insulin Resistance and a general guideline on grams of complex carbohydrate that I can start on to keep my diet balanced. TIA.

    Hello,

so I’ve used this app on and off since 2019. I have chronic illness that has kept me from being able to do a lot of things I’ve wanted to do. But recently I got a new doctor on my care team who has given me meds I didn’t know existed to help fight my very severe disease. It has allowed me to get more energy and to become the gym girlie I’ve always wanted to be (coming from a family of very active people).

Now that I’m at a better point where my illness isn’t holding me back I am ready to get more toned. I am using this app (premium plus, for now) to help with thinking of meals and planning them out. That’s what I struggle with the most, as I’ve always had emotional eating from the mental aftermath of being constantly in pain. Meal prepping is something I truly hate with my entire life and I needed something to automate it for me and to track my progress. My hope is to get my body fat percentage down to about 35% (currently at 40%), although my PT has me aiming for 27% body fat. I try not to let the scale get to me as I’m just naturally curvy. But hopefully MFP can help me reach my fitness goals.

I did 25g of carbs every 4 hours. When I was trying to lose and it seemed to work really well. There are lots of low carb options now than when I was doing it 10 yrs ago. Just keep at it and you will find what works best for your body.

    Hi everyone!

This is my first time using this app. I am 20 years old, female, and interested in being as healthy as possible for my future self. I am currently underweight with a BMI of 17.6, and I am interested in gaining 15 pounds of muscle. Being underweight has led me to feel very tired and weak, and with a compromised immune system. I want to get my youth back through daily exercise and healthy eating.

Meal prepping has always been a struggle for me, especially with roommates, so I used to rely heavily on frozen food and fast food, and I am suffering the aftermath of that. I hope to cut down on the habit and enjoy food that is both healthy and calorically dense.

Fitness-wise, I want to focus on gaining upper body muscle. I also have a family history of heart problems, so I will integrate cardio into my routine.

    Best of luck everyone!!!
