I'm sorry for your loss 22 is young to lose your mom. I think starting new account is a great idea I eish I had thought of doing it.I was 10 lbs from goal and had some medical issues and life changes that derailed .I am 15lbs from my starting point.1 -
Hi ya'll! I am 46 yrs old, mother of 2 adult sons, step mom to 1 teenage son, mom to a 1yr old 4 legged son, and a grandhuman to my 1yr old grandkitty (also a boy). I am in major need of losing 60 lbs yo be healthy again. I am only 5'3". I have tried ALL the diets out there. I will lose weight, then hit a plateau and gain it back. I have spent hundreds on supplements and equipment. My 21yr old son has this app. He has lost around 20lbs of fat to prepare for body building. With his help and the help from you all and the app, I will succeed. I am so happy to start this journey.7

Broke my back in half and was paralyzed, relearned to walk and lost 70lbs became a personal trainer and try and motivate people. Love to hear anyones goals!!!4

Hi to all. I am completely new here and trying to find motivation in weightloss. So far I tried to loose weight many times and I even successed some times (once I even lost 25 kg by exercise and healthy diet) but every time I just end up overeating myself again. I know all the benefits of having healthy weight as I felt them when I lost the weight last time - I felt healthier, more fit, more pretty and good, but I just always end back in the trap of overeating. So mostly I am looking for help with motivation.0

As it relates to providing "a community that is a safe and supportive place for our members", I have been here less than 4 days and have now had my first encounter with a "friend" who seems to think this is more of a dating site. I was a tad disheartened and now more reluctant to share my personal journey freely with a bunch of strangers, who I had hoped would become a trusted support system. Silly me trying to see the best in people. Well lesson learned and moving on. I'll be more careful in the future about who I add as Friends and probably keep it only in the forums until I'm more familiar with the terrain.
I decided to post because I know some of you have been here for years, and if there's anything that I've learned about being part of a community for a long time is that there's a secret list of past offenders to beware of that can't really be shared unless someone specifically asks you. Please help a girl out. I want to enjoy my time here on MyFitnessPal without wondering of others' intentions.

Good Evening All
My Name is Juanita aka known as Jenny. This is my first time trying this app. I'm not new at the dieting rollercoaster. I have tried many different weight loss venues, loss a bunch for short period and gained it back. Upon discovering this app, seeing the testimonials, simplicity of food logigng, i was optimitic that this is plan for me. I knew i can do this. I seek a forum and community that is proactive and provides support during my journey and vice versa. Any feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
