My name is Donna. I am 58 years young and am about 5' 5" tall. I am from the Midwest where it is blistery cold during this time of year and storms are frequent and unforgiving.
Original highest weight 253.0
Final goal weight: 145 by the 4th of July 2019
January Start weight: 185.5
Challenge weight goal: 166.0 by March 31st, 2019
I have done great in 2018 but got off track in the fall & early winter. I am re-dedicating myself to a healthier me!
I will weigh in approximately once per week but not usually the day after a travel (restaurants & water retention).
Jan 02- 185.5
Jan 08- 183.3 Working it back down. January is redemption month. I’ll work hard to redeem myself after the holidays!
Jan 15- 186.2 Horrible emergency regarding my home/business. Everyone is okay but this will be a long drawn-out process. Restaurant runs for food (too many carbs/calories) and eating my emotions as well. I am going to try to get back on track as much as possible today and not let this derail my efforts. I’m just so very thankful that no one was hurt!
Jan 21: 187.1 Stress eating after tree fell on business roof. Problem still being worked on. Insurance inspections on all my homes & businesses has caused lots of work and quick restaurants. I’ve incorporated some aerobic dancing into my rountine and that will help. Weight should improve by next weigh in.
Jan 29: 184.8 Finally showing a loss! I’ve been aerobic dancing which is really helping. I’ve finally dipped just below my starting weight on this challenge which makes me feel a whole lot better. Everyone is doing great! I’m lagging behind a bit, but I’ll meet you all at the finish line on the 31st! I’m looking forward to February because I’m feeling strong. Thanks to @erminater for the support! We're in this together and I appreciate that very much!

Sure, I’ll try it. I’m a 39 year old Type 2 diabetic with high cholesterol and some other health problems. My current weight is 177 lbs. I’m looking for a drastic decrease in my BMI and to just get healthier. My ideal goal is 140 lbs, but I don’t know what’s actually attainable this quickly.2

I'm happy with this -my weight has gone up and down a lot in the last couple of weeks – I did see 53.2 kg twice but also 53.9 on Thursday morning! It’s good to see it settle down again.
I’m pleased that I have managed to navigate a challenging week, averaging calories over the week, balancing a burger on Wednesday (I was at an event and it was the only food on offer) with strict salads and other low calorie meals at other times. I also ate out on Friday night and had a party at my place on Saturday. No dessert on Friday but a big slice of lemon meringue pie on Saturday.
I have a few quiet days now then it is my mum’s 90th birthday on Thursday. We have a big family party at the weekend and family will be around for a few days so plenty of food on offer.

I’m very happy to see the scale is still at the same weight that I was at the start of last week. I have in fact maintained a steady weight over the last 3 weeks. It was my mums 90th birthday last week, we had meals out, family staying over, a party on saturday - party food is all bread, pastry, cake - more family meals ...... including wine and beer.
Now it’s time to get started again. I have a couple of fairly quiet weeks to get the weight moving again. I shall log my food, keep to a pretty strict calorie allowance when I can and go to the gym or waterobics 6 times a week.0 -

1/7 - 153.2 My normal Monday bump. Uggghh, I wish I could keep it together through the weekends to, lol.
1/14 - 154.2 Drank a couple of beers last night and had a big dinner. Always gain after beer.
1/21 - 154.0 A little down from last week.
1/28 - 153.4 Lower all week last week, but really low on my water all weekend. We spent most of it driving. Should be lower next week.
2/4 - 153.7 I don't know why I retain water so bad on the weekend. I had a 6 pound gain in 2 days. I did drink a lot yesterday for the Super Bowl though. Water and more water today.
2/11 - vacation - no scale
2/18 - 157.7 Got back last night from our 7 day vacation! 2 airplane rides, tons of alcohol, tons of food, hardly any water, but an amazing time. My 2nd oldest turned 18 right before we left, so we also had a big party. Hopefully next Monday will be better! I am not doing well this challenge at all!

I cannot figure out how to post my weekly weight loss to my original post. I see everyone else is able to do it and I even asked the IT team and they said I could not do it. I obviously am not too swift with the computer...lesdarts180 suggested to copy and paste and I don't know how to even do that...sorry for any trouble. I've just been trying to see my weekly loss as I go and could not figure out how to do it except use the "quote" toggle, but that effect is definitely not what I intended...I just didn't know how to do it better... AND STILL DON'T !!!kuniej70

Hi @kuniej7 , OK, first, do you use your phone or laptop/pc to log on to MyFitness Pal? Copy and paste is easier using a laptop (or a pc) with a mouse - you highlight the text you want to copy, right-click the mouse, then go to the new "reply" box and right-click again and paste.
Can you use a Word document or some other note app to write up your messages before you post them? That's what I do, then I can add comments each week, check my spelling etc before I post it.
I don't understand how your IT team can't help you with "copy and paste" it is a very basic process.
There's not much more I can help with since I can't sit beside you. Good luck0 -
