  • Having worked on hundreds of big productions ... the one that impressed me by far the most (set design, lighting, sound performance) has to be Aerosmith at the inaugural Abu Dhabi F1 GP set within the Ferrari World building on Yas Island in 2009.
The one I always have the most fun at has to be Nickelback. Saw them in Abu Dhabi too last year, though the Aerosmith one will forever remain the most memorable!

Having said that: The most intense one has to be The Mark Lanegan Band at Shepherd's Bush Empire in 2012! He's got the biggest Stage Presence I've ever encountered, which you could feel in every corner of the venue. Sublime, awesome, sheer brilliance!

My 2 favorites were both at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Stevie Ray Vaughn playing on the riverboat President back in the late 80's and there was this Mardi Gras ball I've been to a couple times called Mom's ball. The Radiators were the musical entertainment and they would literally play for like 5 or 6 hours. It would start at 11:11...and I think we'd end up leaving the place at around 7 the next morning.

    Can't Decide...
    RUSH
    Electric Six
    Muse
    RHCP
    Foo Fighters
    Avett Brothers

Saw Muse in Detroit back in February - I'm not their biggest fan, but i must admit, they put on a great show... possibly the best concert I've ever been to.

7/8 years ago Rolling Stones at Hampden Park, and they were AWESOME!!! my fav still alive band!

Mine is the Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge Tour in 1995 at Wembley Stadium, ten feet from the front of the stage, they had the Black Crowes supporting. It was amazing, I was only 16. Me and my mate figured we had better see them before one of them died!! Haha!

Behind them, I just don't know. I've seen hundreds over the years, and I only see people I want to see, so I'm obviously going to enjoy it lol

My new favourite concert will be Kenny Chesney, who I'm seeing on Thursday. ;)

Favourite concert thus far has to be U2.

Just saw Kenny Chesney / Eric Church on Saturday. Having never been a huge country fan, it was an amazing concert.

I am going to Coheed and Cambria this weekend, so that may top it lol

jason mraz, before he got super famous. that man is a born entertainer. :)

i've been to so many shows, big and small, but mr. mraz is by far my favorite.

next best act i've seen/heard live: hoots and hellmouth, a philly-based indie band. TRULY AMAZING.

Hard to pick just one... I like many types of music so my top concerts I have seen have to be

    1. Rush
    2. Toby Keith
    3. JoDee Messina
    4. Drifters/Platters
    5. Collin Raye
    6. Journey

I have enjoyed most concerts that I have been to, but these stood out for me for different reasons.

Bon Jovi - Best one was a New Year's Eve concert
    Def Leopard
    Yes

Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood - was my first and therefore remains my favorite
    Metallica/Godsmack
Eagles - seats were terrible, but it was a "bucket list" concert (a concert I wanted to see before I died) and it was great!
    Kiss
Poison - with Warrant opening for them before Warrant was a headlining act.

Recently it has to be Tenacious D at the Ampitheater in Bend.

Before that, Alice in Chains. Floater always puts on a good show.

Aerosmith, every time I saw them.

Brad Paisley, both times I saw him.

The others in between were great, but the above 2 stick in my head like yesterday.

Bobby McFerrin. He was onstage, barefoot, all alone with a hand microphone and kept everyone enthralled for over an hour. At one point he invited singers up onstage to help him do a improvisation piece....if I hadn't been up in the back of the balcony I would have RUN to get there to him. Amazing.
Last summer at GALA Denver...the AnnaCrusis chorus did the most amazing wonderful inspirational set. I want to sing like that when I grow up. (all right...IF I ever consent to grow up.....)

I've seen a lot of concerts, not as many as I'd like though. A lot of indie, less known bands. Some of the bigger most memorable were:

    Pearl Jam
    Queens of the Stone Age
    The Strokes
    Neil Young
    Wilco
    Arcade Fire

Hard call. Rammstein when they toured the US last year. Red Hot Chili Peppers (who played the Joe in Detroit the season Draper retired... only to have him come out on stage at the end. I thought the stadium was going to explode).

ON THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE: Coldplay during the second leg of the Viva la Vida tour and Lady Gaga during the first leg of the Monster Ball tour. NO SHAME.
