SW: 124.4 lbs
GW: 117 lbs
Goals: eat clean and homemade, eat more frequently, move more
1/01 - 124.4 lbs. ate more frequently and ate more calories. Still better than overeating on other days. Avoided drinking and ate early meal. Found myself idle, need to move more.7 -

22/12: 166.3: Goals Under goal, but too much festive food choices yesterday. Oops! Rein it in!
23/12: 165.9: Goals Phew!!! Happy enough with that. Sooooo much better than previous years. 2 more days to Christmas Day Feast. Moderation is my goal
Round 63 -|- End Goal: 165
24/12: 165.9: Goals ✅
25/12: 166.1: Goals ✅ It is what it is. 🎄 Christmas!!!🎄
26/12: 168.9: Goals ✅ Goal was to do better than previous years. The jury is still out!
27/12: 169.1: Goals ✅ not unexpected. Definitely feeling the Christmas bloat. Food choices have been questionable, to say the least. Back to good nutrition!
28/12: 168.7: Goals ✅ Now to work on permanently discarding these blighters.
29/12: 169.2: Goals ✅ Let's hope that's the end of it! Just under 4 lbs is much better than previous years.
30/12: 168.6: Goals ✅ I've been under calories by a fair bit each day, but only because I was skimping on 'real' food, which didn't help, because the nourishment wasn't there. I also need to get my butt into gear with the exercise, since I have been a bit desultory with my walking, probably because of all the crap food (mostly chocolate related). My choices created a vicious circle, but I'm out of it now. I was much more sensible yesterday, and have been drinking extra water to flush out the system.
31/12: 167.4: Goals ✅ These things take time. Hanging in there. 2 more days in this round. I looked back on my weight since last Christmas. I have been more or less static for most of the year, but up 10 lbs on the previous year. Time to buckle down and get serious. I've been far too complacent for far to long.
01/01: 169.8: Goals 👿 Oh! The folly of opening a bottle of Prosecco at 11.35pm. Now, half a bottle and a packet of crisps and some Pringles didn't put on 2.4lbs of fat, but I feel the water retention, and will have little appetite today. I am working my butt off for the next however many days it takes to combat the festive bulge.
🎈🎉🎈May you have a joyous, productive, and prosperous 2019 🎈🎉🎈
02/01: 168.8: Goals ✅ Steady as she goes. Yesterday I stayed focused, chose healthy eating for 95% of my intake, and drank extra water. Glad to see it pay off. I am looking forward to continuing this downward tread in Round 64.
THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Round 63 - started and ended on 11st 11.8lb. Up 0.2lb from round 62
Round 61 11st 12lb (-1 lb)
Round 62 11st 11.6lb (-.5lb)
Day/Weight/Comment
12/24 - 11st 11.8lb - another .2lb increase that I did not expect as I was so careful yesterday. However, at 1246 calories I was slightly over the 1200 calories but I still had 113 exercise calories left.
12/25 - unable to weigh
12/26 - unable to weigh
12/27 - unable to weigh
12/28 - 11st 12.6lb. Happy to have only put on 1lb over Christmas, now to take it off again.
12/29 - unable to weigh
12/30 - unable to weigh
12/31- 11st 13.6lb three days at my daughter's house and I've put on another pound! I should have been going back on New Year's day. I'm so glad I am not going - she's not well and if I've caught her illness, I'll not be pleased. However, now home I have my scales to weigh my food and me and not be tempted by all the chocolates and biscuits she has in her house. Now can I lose the two pound to get back to the weight at the beginning of this round!
01/01- 11st 12.8lb. Happy with my loss today - just one pound and a bit more and I will be back to my pre-Christmas weight. A day at a time certainly works.
01/02 - 11st 11.8lb. Gosh, that's good. However, I didn't sleep last night. I've been tossing and turning so I think that's my exercise for the day!7 -

27/12 That's the festive season done and dusted for me, I'm taking the tree down today, taking the excess food and cake into work tomorrow and back on the exercise regime. It's the middle of shark week so fairly bloaty anyway so expecting a bit of a drop in weight mid-round.
02/01 Back to work today, got a good few rowing sessions in the last couple of days, aching everywhere as a result, taking today as a rest day, just going to try and stick to calorie deficit and get some yoga done this evening. Oh and signed up for a beginner Pole Dance Therapy class next week, so that should be interesting, always admired the strength and flexibility required for Pole Dance so going to give it a whirl (no pun intended).7 -

Goals -
* Under 1900 cals each day
* No blood glucose tests above 180
* Run 12/30, 12/31, 1/1, and 1/2 above 2.5 miles
12/30 - 209.5lbs. Not a great day. I have been battling a cold for a week and definitely using "feed a cold" as my mantra. Have not felt like working out. Tracked breakfast, but stopped after that. Blood glucose was terrible all day (multiple >200 readings). Need to get that under control immediately as I have a A1C test on January 10th. Will get it together tomorrow. Can't use colds and holidays as an excuse.
12/31 - 207.8lbs. Great all the way through dinner with eating right, tracking all food going into my mouth, and blood glucose <110 from noon-8PM. Kids made brownie sundaes and my sweet teeth got me. Not terrible though. Finished Peter Sagal’s book The Incomplete Guide to Running. Good motivator and will be on the treadmill today. Cold seems to be gone.
1/1 - 206.8lbs. Fantastic day. Ran 2.6 miles in 30 minutes on the treadmill. It felt rough after having an awful cold for four days, but very happy to complete it. The key was no carbs from lunch through bed time which meant no bing eating. That is so key for me. Blood glucose readings were amazing all day. Long stretch between 90-110. I tracked my food pretty well. Extremely happy to see the reversal in weight from the cold/Christmas crazy carb, no portion control eating.
1/2 - 204.3lbs9 -

Round 61 SW: 241.0 EW: 239.0 (-2.0)
Round 62 SW: 239.0 EW: 241.4 (+2.4)
Mini goal is to be in 230's by the end of the year.
UGW: 165lbs by the end of next year.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/24 - 241.8...didn't get enough water and had a high sodium supper.
12/25 - 242.8...actually stayed within calories yesterday and got lots of water...weighed earlier than normal though. Oh well. Merry Christmas!!🎄🎄
12/26 - 242.8...considering all I ate yesterday I'm very happy with that...dinner was super yummy and I stuffed myself on it! I got a Fitbit for Christmas and I'm pretty excited. I had a cheap knock off before that worked okay but didn't have heartrate. So far the Fitbit seems to give me few more steps than my other one though.
12/27 - 244.8..I ate a lot of leftovers yesterday and chocolate and popcorn. And I don't think I drank any water 😐 I'm going out of town tomorrow until Sunday evening and I won't be tracking. We have a girls drinks night planned which will involve snacks, and a couple of family dinners to go to. Back on track starting Monday.
12/28 - 244.8
12/29 - no weigh in. Girls night was a lot of laughs, my cheeks were sore by the time I went to bed!
12/30 - no weigh in. Spent most of the day yesterday relaxing and eating, we had some snow so not much else to do. Suppose to stop snowing this morning so hopefully we'll get back home later today. Not looking forward to weighing after this weekend but back on plan starting tomorrow.
12/31 - no weigh in again today. Snow kept us out of town for an extra night. Back home again now though...going to drink lots of water and have a low calorie day..hopefully the scale isn't too hard on me tomorrow (I did stuff myself with junk food for 3 days though 😞)
Happy New Year Everyone!!! 😁
01/01 - 244.0...under calories and 100 oz of water yesterday.
01/02 - 246.0...yesterday was a bad day, but I don't think it was a 2lb gain bad day 😒 my son was up at 4am again, it's become more of an everyday thing instead of the occasional thing now. My TOM, that started on Monday, didn't give me bottomless pit syndrome until yesterday and I didn't even like the thought of water.
Back on track for the next round...see you all there!!6 -
My goal for 2019 is to get into ONEderland. Changing my life.
Plans:
- Find workout routine that works (walk, bike, planks, yoga, swim, take advantage of retirement to be more active)
- Drink more water (target min 64 oz daily; start with 1 glass before coffee)
- Journal Food Daily (tracking with MFP)
- Daily Vitamins (Dr’s orders; need to not ignore)
- Drink less alcohol (~16 AF days per month; limit 1-2 glasses per day)
SW: 245 (R63 starting 12/30/2018)
End R63: 245 (0 loss; avg 244.7)
Goal for this round is to start tracking every day and during the lull be active!
12/24 -
12/25 - Love my Christmas presents! Bike & yoga mat
12/26 -
12/27 -
12/28 - Started tracking food diary in MFP; Rode bike outside for first time in 25 years!
12/29 - Walked Sweetbriar loop 3+miles
12/30 - 245 Changing my life; walked 2+miles before it rained; 3 days tracking!
12/31 - 244.4 New Year's Eve; walked Acacia loop 3+ miles; Monday official WI
01/01 - 244.7 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Walked the loop 1+ miles, biked 1+ miles, 5 days tracking!
01/02 -245 Ending this round at the same weight that I started WI on 12/30 but did see the daily fluctuations and know that keeping it up will create a steady trend downward. It is back to work starting early for me today. But that is no longer the excuse to just sit and work all day. Plans to walk 2+ miles8 -
Heaviest Weight: 213
Recent Start Weight: 193 (January 2017)
I’ve been in maintenance for several months until the holidays, content at around 146. I am now OVER the point at which I didn’t want to be again (150), so I’ll be getting back on track to lose back down to at least around 146 or so. May try to go lower in the new year, but we will see. For the immediate future, I just want to get and stay back under 150.
Goal for round 63= 149.x
Day/Weight/Comment
12/24= 150.8 Still a couple more celebrations to survive, then back on track.
12/25= 153 Christmas meals and treats. Going to drink lots of water today.
12/26= 153.4 There you have it. My Christmas high. I’m owning it, realizing there’s lots of work to do in the coming days to not only lose the weight but make it past the sugar/carb cravings that will have increased due to these indulgent last however many days. Good luck in “recovery” friends.
12/27= 151.4 It felt really good yesterday to eat healthy again! Got in a bike ride and a walk on the beach, too. Bought an adorable pair of exercise leggings that I will be a walking in today! :-) (Why does something so silly make me feel good?) LOL
12/28= 152.6 Ate healthy again all day (cooked at home too), but did a lot of exercise, so maybe this is water weight from muscle fatigue. That’s what I’m hoping anyway.
12/29= 152.6 I must admit I’m discouraged by this. I’ve really upped the exercise levels since 12/26 with little positive effect. I’m eating healthy too and staying under my calorie goal (although not by much). I hope I’ll have a swoosh soon. :-(
12/30= 152.6 Still stuck. But did very well yesterday on all counts.
12/31= 151.2 Yay a bit of a Whoosh!
01/01= 151.0
01/02= 152 Well, that is not what I had hoped for this morning! See you in the next round!10 -

12/26 - 255.6 - This is a definite win for me. I ate at maintenance yesterday but had a lot of sodium. I'm doing so much better this year than last even though I'm up from my lowest of 252 in R61. Other years, it's nothing for me to pack on 10 pounds during the holidays and stay that way or go even higher and of course, give up trying altogether. This time it will be different.
12/27 - 254.2 - There's my Christmas miracle! Well, maybe it's more like a stocking stuffer but I'll take it!
12/28 - 253.4 - I'm happy about this.
12/29 - 252.6 - I've almost undone the damage. I'm looking for a new low for the end of this round.
12/30 - 252.0 - Back to end weight of R61.
12/31 - 251.2 - A new low for this attempt at weight loss! Now to keep it together tonight. We usually have take-out pizza on NYE but tonight we're eating frozen pizzas (Dr. Oetker) which we both like alright. I'm so happy my BF is supporting me with this. I'll be having a couple of Crabbies ginger beers, too. I don't drink much anymore so I'm okay to go light on the drinks. The plan is to eat light today to keep the cals. down to make room for tonight.
01/01 - 253.6 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! No worries about this. I ate more pizza and food overall yesterday than I planned for. Started 2019 doing the New Year's Day Bird Count with other birders so the year is off to a great start for me. I'm feeling really positive and raring to go! I hope EveryOne has a fantastic 2019!
01/02 - 251.8 - This is the 1st time in I can't remember when that I've ended up with a lower weight going in to the new year. I'm very happy about this.
I hope to see you ALL in Round 64!11 -
@jecky74 HAPPY BE,LATED 🎂🎂🎂 BIRTHDAY
Once again I have been awol on the posts...it so funny because on another group they stated "make sure to check in daily, of you don't you might come and find you have 60 posts to read..." Lol those people don't know what it is like skipping a day in this group 😛😛😛 but I love it❤❤❤
Happy New Year everyone!!! I will post my own day to day the minute I am done reading all of yours...so far I am impressed by the amounting people who kept it together throughout the holidays. truley inspiring.

12/24 – 135 - 1674
I confess, I've gone crazier with baked goods this Christmas than I have since I started this journey 4 years ago. And that's ok, and I'll let myself eat today and tomorrow. But then I'm getting back on track with another elimination diet round. Although I didn't think the elimination diet I followed last fall made much difference, my pain has increased since I started this food free-for-all for the holidays, and that tells me that food is a factor. I'm considering the past month a reset. Not to re-lose the extra 5 pounds and get healthy. But merry Christmas Eve, those who celebrate, and happy everything to everyone else!
12/25 – 135 - 1717
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate the holiday, and may the spirit of this season of holidays touch us all.
12/26 – 135 - 1791
Happy Boxing Day! Also "get closer to on track" day for me. It won't be perfect as we're going out to lunch and I do plan to have one more piece of the mince pie I baked and maybe a piece or two of brown-sugar fudge, but my big fat sugar fest (very unusual for me, even at holidays - don't know what got into me this year!) is over. Also heading for the Y this morning for a walk and I have a session tomorrow with a trainer to work out a work out that won't hurt my inflamed joints. I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday, whether celebrating Christmas or just life.
12/27 – 136 - 1824
Yikes! Some is water since we went to Bob Evans for lunch yesterday, but still, YIKES! I'm awake now, cutting the desserts, and planning to re-start the anti-inflammatory routine this weekend. My new goal for 2019 is 125 pounds - so a pound a month will do it. I've set up 3 coaching appointments at the Y to create some outside accountability and am ordering some cold-weather hiking clothes so I can comfortably get my butt outside, cold or not. (8 years living on the southern NC coast has made me a cold weather weenie!) Onward!
12/28 – 136 - 1892
I had an orientation session at the Y yesterday so I have no more excuse not to get back to weight training, and my fist coaching session is next week. I felt really good yesterday afternoon and evening after even the short session + short time on stationary bike, so I'm looking forward to getting back at it! And I'm going to make a supreme effort to get my butt out of bed early to swim laps when the pool is vewy, vewy quiet, if my shoulder pain allows. Now to cut back on calories, but that shouldn't be hard since all the goodies are gone now but for one small piece of mince pie with my name on it. Back to fish and veggies and fruit and whole grains.... I find it important to start my re-starts before Jan. 1 so I'm already rolling. Anyone else feel that way? (Recognizing that most of you didn't go quite so crazy this round and last!)
12/29 – 136.2 - 1919
My calories were lower yesterday, but based on my excessive 10-day average cals, the weight gain makes sense and I'm ok with this. All the goodies are gone now, and I've been sticking to my gym plan - yesterday I walked the track and did 30 min on the bike. Plan to do the same today + weights. And stick to my food plan!
12/30 – 136.8 - 2067
Eeeek! But those averages tell the tale, and I did have some garlic cheese bread and some cookies yesterday. On the plus side, I went to the Y to walk and do weights. And both the goodies and the exercise could add water weight, although I can't use that excuse much longer. The big lesson (and probably the worst thing about my backsliding) is that I've been craving foods I haven't cared about for almost 4 years, so I need to clean them out of my body and mind. Lesson learned!
12/31 – 137 - 2105
Still going the wrong way, but it's okay, and I'll be back on track next round. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Have a safe and lovely New Year's Eve!
01/01 –139.6 - 2154
I hope this is the end of the upward trajectory. I'm definitely getting back on track today, especially re. sugar. My holiday blowout was fun, but on the old idea that whatever you do on the first of the year you'll be doing all year, today my goal is for minimal sugar. By the end of the week I plan to be fully on the anti-inflammation protocol again, and I intend to stick with it for at least 12 weeks, so through March. I've enjoyed baking & eating the baked goods the past month, but I'm looking forward to getting back to lots of veggies, fish, chicken, and fruit. I'd also forgotten how satisfying weight training can be - I'm a little sore today, but feel good to be back at it. So here's to a healthy, active, happy 2019, all!
1/02 – 138.8 - 2154
Calorie average still too high, but yesterday I was within bounds and I went to the gym. Today will be even better! On to R64 - see you there!

GW maintain or loose some holiday weight
UGW 125
12/24 – no weigh in. Holidays are not fun and food is so tempting
12/25🎄🎅🤶 – 146 yikes!! The Holidays are kicking my butt!!
12/26 – no weigh in. Trying to stay the path but one more dinner tonight might not be helpful.
12/27 – 147.6 😥😥😥 I didn't log for the whole holiday (since the 22nd to be exact) and pretty much ate whatever I wanted. Exercise has consisted of walking alone. But I am also not worried, I am finally back and looking to at least loose whatever holiday weight I have gained and getting back into it for the new year. It shouldn't be too difficult to drop whatever weight I put on over the holidays but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if I still ended with a 1 or 2 pound gain. I enjoyed myself and as long as this spiral didn't continue I will be happy. On a plus note though, I still look amazing!!! Was so shocked to see myself in certain clothing..I felt good and my hubby noticed also..so once again I am happy. Today I started logging again.
12/28 –145 Thank goodness! The downward trend has commenced!!! Lol. After eating whatever I wanted for a week, I am finding getting back into routine slightly harder food wise. I am staying away from sweets but the left over turkey, yams, mashed potatoes and stuffing keep calling my name. To make matters slightly worse, I haven't worked out in a week and I know I need to rebegin before I get used to not...which I don't want at all.,.on the other hand I did walk 19000+ steps yesterday so thankfully I am not completely inactive. Looking to workout this weekend, hopefully if we don't have too many guests so I can at least attempt too and getting myself going before new years eve
12/29 –144.4 Surprised by this, yesterday's activity was low...felt more tired then usual and I think I needed a day off. Tonight has been rough though, started out well enough but between a big family breakfast, the left over treats calling my name and UFC night where my neighbour brought over homemade pizza... I don't know how the weigh in tomorrow will look. Although I thought I could get a workout in today, it didn't happen because of guests that have been over nearly all day..tomorrow no one should be coming by so *fingers crossed* I can get something in. Although yesterday I saw an all time low of 3000 steps, today I am above 13000 so at least not completely inactive. I feel myself slacking a bit but I am planning to change that. I need to be more mindful and begin shooting for 1200 cals. Again and no more unless exercise is high that day
12/30 – no weigh in. Slept in and then my hubby brought me some coffee, which I drank before weighing. Oops. So far I have done just fine today, been eating within my calories and got some laundry done..but activity was low, still didn't exercise. Yikes!! It has been a week and two days since I last worked out with my usual routine, even if I have been walking like a mad women, i really need my routine to feel complete lol. Thinking about some left over turkey for dinner and hoping I don't LNS tonight..which has been an issue last couple of days. *fingers crossed* my weigh isn't too awful in the morning and I can end the year on a pleasing note, even if this Round seems to be a complete wash for me
12/31 – 145 a small blimp, no biggie
01/01 –no weigh in.... I know, accountability is key but new years eve was awful (in a good way...sort of) ate way too much and continued my chocolate eating well into the morning. Finally stopped eating at 2:30...yikes! Managed 17000+ steps and got a 1.5 mile jog in for the first time in weeks, i thought I might as well get started if I wanted to get my but back to routine come, well today lol
01/02 – 146.6 and up we go again. Once again I am ok with it. I have not been a good eater since the 22nd, so how I managed to only gain four pounds in a little over 10 days (and trust me....i was eating so much junk that I began craving fruits and vegetables) is beyond me. Apparently, I am doing something right to only have gained so little in the amount of time I have. Which surprises and impresses me, imagine what it would have been like if I actually stuck the course. Anyway, yesterday I got back on that darn horse as I intended to do and jogged another 1.5 miles and got in a little over 15000+ steps. I drank 1.3 liters of water (I smell a resolution here) and ended the day with a 810 calorie burn and having at a bit over 1200 calories to eat ...it's been a long time since I stuck to 1200. Although I didn't even come close to making my goal (maintain or loose holiday weight) I am ready to begin dropping again..this year will be the year I reach my goal weight and my new lows. (Not to mention tone this Christmas, pudge of a stomach I seemed to have gained as well) the only thing different I think, is although I weigh in the morning, i will probably post at night with the exception of the final day..that way I have a more accurate account of the day, on the day (For some reason I get confused when I talk about the previous day on the following day) ok I am done rambling now lol
I hope everyone had a great New Year and are satisfied and impressed with yourselves as well. Everyone has done fantastic in my opinion and has really stuck it out through the holiday.., you are all inspirational too me. Last year during this time (from Nov-the 1st of January) I gained almost 15 pounds 😣😣😣 yikes.. And they say that during the holidays most people will gain anywhere from 6-10 pounds...so if you are apart of the minority that managed a 1-2 pound gain...or are one of those overachievers who still managed to loose weight (😲😲) pat yourselves on the back...you deserve it!10 -

12/24 - 183.2 Third day in a row! I had the first of 4 Christmas dinners yesterday. I walked three miles before the dinner and with the exercise calories - I stayed within goal. Normally I eat back less than half but for the holiday I made an exception. Another dinner today, one tomorrow and then one next weekend. I might be able to walk later today but I doubt it. No walk tomorrow either. I'm going to be jumpy by Wednesday.
12/25 - 183.9 Still ok with this. I'm pretty sure it's sodium as I did not go over on calories yesterday. I didn't get a chance to walk and probably won't today either. My family will be here in a few hours and we'll do Christmas with dinner and treats. I have been able to stay out of most of the treats I made, but I made candied pecans for the first time this year and they were VERY hard to stay out of with their cinnamon deliciousness. Merry Christmas everyone!
12/26 - 182.8 WooHoo! I'm sure it's short lived. I cooked and hosted so much yesterday I didn't really eat and I got in a 2 mile walk before everyone got there. I've made it thru the first 3 Christmas dinners without a gain. I have one more on Saturday then I'm done. I got an Apple Watch for Christmas and LOVE IT!
12/27 - No scale I ended up spending the night with a friend so no weigh in. I would guess I'm a little higher today due to a sodium, though I'm under on calories. I got in a good work out at the gym last night. Should walk today but it's going to be rainy and cold. I'm too tired anyway; no more sleepovers on school nights for me.
12/28 - 183.4 Up a little but no biggie. I did end up walking 4 miles yesterday though in two spurts. I had assumed it was going to rain all afternoon/evening so I got in 1.5 miles at lunch. When I got off work I had time for another walk before picking up my BF at the airport. I found another new trail that is awesome and close to the airport. The trail is wooded and peaceful though VERY hilly. If things keep going this way I'll be 182.X by the end of the round. It's going to be challenging to walk outside the next few weeks but I'll figure out something.
12/29 - 183.5 It's the weekend before New Years. I'm going to my last Christmas dinner today. It was rainy and cold yesterday and had a ton of errands to run - so no walk. I hope to get one in today but it doesn't look good. I'm going shopping then the dinner. I'll go to the gym after if there is time but you know I hate treadmills and it's supposed to be sunny tomorrow.
12/30 – 183.1 Made it through all 4 Christmas meals without a gain. That is a Christmas miracle. I'm still hopeful for 182.x before the end of the round. I can't wait to get outside and walk this afternoon. This was a pretty good holiday for me all around. No major family problems, the presents I gave were loved. I got the watch that really helps me count steps. The biggest thing is getting through all these dinners and sweets without eating everything. I ate and felt full but didn't lose my mind. I could have been better - sure but this is something I can keep up.
12/31 – 183.6 I got in four miles yesterday but I did not eat very well. Too much bread, too many sweets, not enough veggies. I was good all thru the Christmas dinners but yesterday I ate back all my exercise calories in a carb frenzy. I never eat back all my calories. Things will be back to normal after today. 182.x seems less likely today but I'll walk and make good food choices.
1/01 – 184.5 No clue. I was slightly over calories yesterday but got in another 4 miles. Still DID not expect to see an increase.
1/02 - 185.0 WTH? I have no idea where this came from. I was not over on calories yesterday and I spent over an hour at the gym doing weights. Pride cometh before the fall I guess. I was too prideful for not gaining after 4 parties that decided to lose my mind and go over 3 days in a row. That being said I never went over 1800 and exercised each day. Back to basics, I wanted to see 182.x and instead I'm at 185.... THREE POUNDS I just looked at yesterday's food again and noticed the HIGH sodium. It's still too high but that might account for a pound.... maybe8 -

12/25 187.2 not bad. Had a big family dinner last night and obviously didn’t sabotage myself, yay me.
12/26 188.2 I ate a lot more than I should have yesterday so I actually expected this number. But I’m already back on track and ready to lose some more!

12/24--215.1 Whoosh! Hopefully it will hold. I'm a federal government who is furloughed, so the unexpected time off right now is pretty sweet. I just need to make sure that I don't derail my eating while I'm off work, I find that I snack a lot when I'm bored. So to give myself something to do I made a list of things that I need to do around the house that I have been putting off and I'm going to work on a couple of the tasks every day while I am off. Went to the gym today for weightlifting, this is not my usual weightlifting day but the gym is closed tomorrow. The sun is out today, which is shocking in the PNW for this time of the year, so assuming the weather holds up I will be taking the dog out for a walk this evening.
12/25--215.1 Weight still holding. Sinus pressure came back yesterday, I think it's from the 3 pieces of milk chocolate I had on Sunday. Going out for Christmas dinner.
12/26--215.6 I usually have a weight jump up to 2 days afterwards, so I won't be surprised if there is another gain tomorrow. Today is closet organizing day, so I'm going to organize all of the closets today. Some closets will definitely be easier than others. Yoga later tonight.
12/27--214.9 Very surprised to see this number, I was expecting a bump up. Already been to this gym this morning to do some weightlifting. Closets were done yesterday, so the main thing today is cleaning/organizing the laundry/storage room and taking down the Christmas tree. I may also sneak in an afternoon nap.
12/28--214.2 Weighed twice to make sure. I have to stay home to wait for a delivery today, so I will be doing a lot of little things around the house. No working out today, today is a rest day and it's going to be raining all day so no long walk with the dog either.
12/29--214.5 This morning I realized it's been 4 weeks since I've started this elimination diet due to my food allergies and I can't believe how much better my stomach/digestion is feeling since I've started. I can't wait until I can start reintroducing some more foods. The best thing about the elimination is that I have become a lot more aware to how foods affect my digestion. Supposed to be windy and rainy today, so no long walk with the dog today and today is another no gym day so another day to get things done around the house.
12/30--213.6 Weightlifting at gym this morning and then I went for a 4 mile hike with dog...legs are sore so I will definitely be resting for rest of the day. My husband baked some no egg/almond flour chocolate chip cookies yesterday and they were good, even he has had to keep himself from eating them. So far there doesn't seem to be an adverse reaction to the reintroduction of almonds to my diet, but it can take up to 72 hours for any effects, so I will give it a couple of more days to see how it goes.
12/31--214.7 Bounce is definitely from the hike and workout yesterday. I would ususally do a 3 mile walk with the dog today, but after the hike/workout yesterday my muscles are still feeling tired and my dog is tired too. However, today is supposed to be a rare sunny December day in the PNW so I will probably go out for a short walk today and get out and enjoy the sunny weather.
01/01--213.8 There goes the water weight from yesterday. Went weightlifting at the gym this morning. Going out to see a movie later today.
01/02--214.2 I think the almond flour cookies are affecting my digestion. I'm noticing over the last couple of days my digestion is not functioning as well since I've reintroduced almonds back in my diet. I've stopped eating the cookies and I will see if it makes any difference over the next couple of days. Since I've been furloughed I've been getting less water than I would usually if I was at work, I need change that. Today is yoga, a long walk with the dog, and a much needed massage.

12/24 - 175.4 - 74g carbs, 61g net carbs. Hungrier yesterday, probably because I felt cold. Carbs were: Peanut butter, cauliflower, breading on fish.
12/25 - 174.8 - 82g carbs, 79g net carbs.45g net carbs.
Carbs were: coating on fried chicken, salad, 1.5 TB onion dip, 1oz each pretzels and potato chips.
12/26 - 175.2 -156g carbs, 148g net carbs. Carbs were: A LOT & DELICIOUS! 1 large croissant, 1 TB red raspberry preserves, 1/4 grapefruit, salad, asparagus, sundried tomatoes, 2ozs pretzels, 3 salted caramel chocolate chip cookies.
12/27 - 175.2 - 549g carbs, 45g net carbs. Carbs were: breading on chicken tenders, cabbage, grapefruit, 85% dark chocolate, 1/2 dark choc ghiradelli square.
12/28 - 174 - 42g carbs, 36g net carbs. Carbs were: breading on chicken tenders, sunflower seeds. Out visiting family all day. Not enough water, too much coffee, but not dehydrated.
12/29 - 174.2 - 61g carbs, 44g net carbs. Carbs were: Coating on fried chicken, steamed cauliflower, boiled cabbage. 3TB peanut butter to increase calories, protein and fat, carbs come with it, oh well. Tiny bit of fluid retention. Another one meal day yesterday. Always unintentional, but it comes to that when I'm out all day. Went over calories trying to get my protein up. Both were low on Thursday.
12/30 - 175 - No need for gingerbread now. My spicy, sweet tooth was satisfied by 15, yes FIFTEEN, ginger snaps early in the day and 1/4 loaf of french bread with olive oil and butter ? while I food prepped for my nieces party.
12/31 - 175.8 - *Last night's comment) I don't even know why I tried to log food today. I guess to get an "estimate" of the carb grams. Laughable. There were a LOT of carbs on this charcuterie board and I enjoyed ALL of them + some wine. Carbs and calories were: inestimable 😐 and delicious.😆 Gonna be a rough Monday.
* This morning's comment) A gain of .8 lb not bad considering that I grazed for 4 hrs until my stomach felt full. Maybe 500 calories more than I posted in my food diary. Some things in it, I didn't eat, some things I did eat are not in the diary. I'll call it 2,000 to 2,500 calories. Estimating a few pieces of dark chocolate that I had. Of course more "weight" could show up tomorrow.
1/01 - 178 - My new years gift from midnight eating. 😂 It's all good.
1/02 - 177.2 - Carbs = sludge to clog your gut 😣 and retain fluid. NOT green leafy and cruciferous vegetable carbs. Starchy packaged junk carbs!

@salleewins Who is giving you flack? It’s nobody’s business but YOURS! When I did a 3 day fast several months ago, I told my husband he didn’t need to share that info with ANYONE as it’s none of their business what I’m eating. (Some of our friends think I’m crazy for doing Keto despite the research regarding diabetes. I’m not diabetic or pre-diabetic. One of them is on insulin and 2 others are on oral meds.) Anyway, for some reason he feels he has to share this information with his gym buddies. I learned that he disregarded my request when one of the wives, an oral med person and my previously mentioned “fluffy” (her word, not mine) friend, asked how my fast had gone! I was super pissed with DH!! Rant over for the moment.6

Almonds are high in fat...maybe it is just shocking your system because of how long without you have gone without certain items. Maybe it's a lession learned, that you potentially would not have noticed without the elimination diet...or maybe it will just take a minute for your body to get reused to the food2 -

My name is Jen. I’ve been sitting at the low 200s for a while now trying everything to get my weight to budge. A great MFP friend suggested this group and so far it’s helping! The weight is still moving at a snails pace but at least it’s moving!

12/24 207.0. Now that I see my numbers up top I realize I only gained a pound during a very busy time when I was sick and work was very stressful. I’m up again today but I think that is mainly due to two very salty dinners in a row. Gotta drink lots of water today!!
12/25 - did not weigh
12/26 - did not weigh
12/27 - 208.8. I’m back and ready to bring this number down. I couldn’t bring myself to weigh in yesterday. This number isn’t horrible but I can’t wait until it comes down again. I feel heavy and lethargic which needs to change.
12/28 - 209.2. I was hoping this number would go down lol! I had some salty food yesterday so I think that might be part of it. This was a good wake up call for me. Need to get back to basics.
12/29 - 211. I’m really hoping this is all water retention. I worked out again yesterday and had a salty dinner so I’m hoping this will start to disappear soon. I have my day all planned out today so should see a drop tomorrow.
12/30 - 209.4. Much better today. Going to do the same things today plus get a treadmill workout in.
12/31 - 208.8. Happy with this! Happy New Year everyone!
1/1 - 206.8. Well that’s the last whoosh of Christmas goodies and salty food gone! I feel so much better than I have in weeks. Going to try and get a treadmill workout in today.
1/2 - 206.6. At my pre-Christmas weight. Would have liked to have ended the round with an overall loss but maintaining is still better than a gain!12 -
