Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 - 150 (-0.4 from yesterday, -0.4 from round start) Woot! I did great on water and though we got pressed for time and ended up eating out last night, we did Chipotle. And I saved half for leftover lunch for the next day (today). Allowing myself a total laze about day today. Tomorrow - elliptical, here I come. Hoping to keep the downward trend, though ToM is looming and so we'll see. (It usually means a short bump up, or at least harder fight for a loss, for a few days.)
01/04 - 150 (-0.0 from yesterday, -0.4 from round start) Did well on water and on food yesterday, and so far today too. Also got a 25 minute walk in this afternoon. Hopefully this will bode well for tomorrow's number.

Round 64
Please join us! Starting on 01/03 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 64
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

01/01 - 145.1 ~ (Steps 19,253) ~ I decided to reset my ticker, Iβm 3.3 pounds heavier the last New Years but I call that a win. Plus I realize that Round 63 is still going but I need to start focusing on the New Year now. Today I went to a Boot Camp class at the gym, love it....
01/02 143.5 ~ (Steps 12,635) ~ We do anything special yesterday, my husband watched football so I got a couple sessions at the gym. My son was supposed to stop but didnβt, on the bright side on News Years Eve he announced his engagement. My baby is getting married, okay heβll turn 31 but heβll always be my baby, My future DIL is adorable such an adorable couple.
01/03 144.4 ~ (Steps 22,887) ~ Another successful day even though the scale is up. I was able to not have a snack last night, which is a win,
01/04 145.2 ~ (Steps 10,196) ~ Yesterday was tough weird things kept happening so it seemed like I was on the phone a good portion of he day. I didnβt eat my emotions though, I have no doubt the next couple of days the scale will drop....

@quiltingjaine The birth of your firstborn was, indeed, a memorable occasion! Very sweet. My firstborn came on Superbowl Sunday, Jan 13, 1974. Superbowl happened earlier back then. The weather was good, but we had an hour drive from Williamsburg to Langley AFB when we left at midnight. There was no hurry since it took until about 3 in the afternoon before she made her appearance. She wasn't an easy child for the first few years, but she, too, became a beautiful woman and great mom.
@corriepelc I would concede to rain and 45 mph winds. That sounds like a torture run to me. On slippery surfaces, you're more likely to do more damage to your knee. Praying for a wise decision and safety if you decide to go through with it.
@deepwoodslady I didn't mind the rant, I actually giggled a little. We gotta do what we gotta do. In my case, my slim husband has snacks everywhere, and I ignore them or tell myself "NO!" if I start to reach for something. I keep reminding myself how far I've come, and I want to complete the mission before I think about allowing myself an unhealthy treat (except that occasional bite of pecan pie). It's sitting in the fridge. I tried to get him to take it to work, but they've been in training this week. You did good!6 -
@CathieMW I'm rooting for you! I think you can make it! You'll have a wonderful celebration, regardless.5

Day/Weight/Comment:
01/03- Started the weekend walking and tripped over the water shut off valve on the sidewalk, had a hard fall. Worked on stretching today. Lots of huge bruises, cuts, and sore muscles.
01/04- Enjoyed a family day, went to the movies, a short walk in the sunshine and worked on crafts with the grand children. Continued stretching the bruising on my hand has not went down since Sunday.

01/03 286.4 and 8.0pounds down since I started. Hoping to find Fitbit charger so I can accurately check my calories burned daily.
01/04 285.2 I normally weigh in every morning after I get up and pee so this is a nice way to be able to log everything. *Update on my day although not weight related* Found out my father in law has cancer in the hips and lungs today, feeling so down and bad for my MIL. They are such good people and she lost her dad last January so this is really a blow to her.

Hi. I am new to the MFP community and this is my first round of a challenge. I am a mom of two young kids and custom cake and macaron baker (I know).

Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 = 160 So far so good with my eating. I kind of hate being back on the wagon, but the day is almost over, so very little opportunity left to fall off.
01/04 = 158.5 very happy to see the scale move in the right direct for the first day, even if I know, intellectually, one day's change is pretty meaningless. Today was a good day for moving and good for eating. I found my lost fitbit and stuck it on the charger so I can be more accurate with sleep and step tracking.

@deepwoodslady your friend doesn't sound like much of a friend. One of the things I realized (and it's a pretty obvious thing to be honest, that I didn't really understand until I had to face it) is that our health depends a lot on the people we surround ourselves with. My former closest friend was a heavy drinker and loved good food. So we spend a lot of our time at happy hours and restaurants. Our friendship ended for unrelated reason, but the impact on my drinking and eating was immediate. I realized how much I ate and drank just to keep up with her.
If your friend is intentionally sabbatoging you, and it's not a friendship you are willing to let go, find ways to limit your time together to activities that don't lend themselves to eating. Like a walk or something.
I'm sorry he was such a jerk.4 -
Good day. Slept better last night, better on caffeine ending in early aftenoon, 4 days with being real consistent with the diet. Weight goes down each day. New plan seems to be working so far. Just starting to get some energy back. Getting a lot of water in. Not much aerobic again, but trying to get the PT exercises in and strength. Very excited that I have a great streak going!6

GW - 238lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 - 240.5lb - expected to lose some water weight from the kind of food Iβve been eating but also expect to lose some as TOM is due in next few days so I normally a lb or two with that. Getting back on track with healthy eating and putting all the festivities behind me
01/04 - 240.1lb - Iβll take this
01/05 - 238.25 - TOM started yesterday so water weight coming off and that combined with good deficits. Still feeling quite disappointed with a gain over Christmas however atleast its coming off quickly and not as bad as it first appeared. If this weight sticks I will set a new goal for this round.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Round 64
36yo/, 173cm / German living in London, UK, currently in Lusaka, Zambia
2019 SW: 72.8kg (oops)
GW: 62-67kg depending on how it feels
01/02 72.8kg
After long haul flights and plane/airport food yesterday. Back to work, the gym and logging everything that passes my lips today.
01/03 72.3 (-0.5)
Good day yesterday, ate what I logged, went to the gym and didn't give in to cravings in the evening. I've decided not no eat back my exercise cals, so I'm logging them as just 1 cal.
Is anyone doing Yoga with Adriene's Dedicate? I meant to start today with day 1 as the video isn't available until I leave the house in the morning, but then found it was too long for the time I had available, so did an old one instead.
01/04 71.9 (-0.4)
I like this trend, hopefully it'll continue through this round back to below 70k. Yesterday went ok, I mostly stuck to my pre-logged food. I did have one piece of sweet I had brought back for my colleagues (it was a 130cals!), but changed my dinner from pasta to salad. I also ate the last of a few cereal bars I had from my trip, which were also high calorie. In the evening, I decided not to go shopping or to the gym or communicate with various people, but take time for myself and start with Dedicate Day 1. It was great! This morning, I did Day 2 and will also go to the gym tonight. I'll also do a healthy food shop. I remembered today that I had started eating bigger portions to curb the snacking, I'll get back to that from this evening. And I also looked at my macros and again noticed I need to up my protein, which I seem to always struggle with.
01/05 71.0kg (-0.9)
I think this is all water weight, which i'm shedding with help of Tish's parsley/cucumber water. I can even see how my feet are no longer swollen.
Yesterday was good, stuck to my eating plan, went shopping, went to the gym. I spent the evening on the sofa and really wanted wine and all the snacks, but stuck to tea and my prelogged snacks. Today, started with yoga, which was sweatier than expected, had a filling and late breakfast and now have to do some work. I plan to either go for a walk or to the gym for a walk on the treadmill later.15 -
1/3=SW, 198.4.
1/4=197.0
1/5=196.2. Started Keto 3 days ago, pretty amazing but probably water. Still doing IF too.Hope that I can keep this focus bc I plan on only doing this do 2 weeks. After all my honest attempts with little success this is just unbelievable. Love all of your posts. Those 4 W's are a perfect reminder,Weigh, water, workout & Watch.Thank you,G10 -
Round 64 - my 4th round
Round 61 11st 12lb (-1 lb)
Round 62 11st 11.6lb (-0.5lb
Round 63 11st 11.8lb (+0.2lb)
Day/Weight/Comment
01/03 11st 10.4lb Was not feeling too well yesterday so didn't quite manage to eat all of my calories which explains the loss. Better today but I do have a sore throat.
01/04 11st 11lb Slightly up. I did have to estimate my breakfast out yesterday but it couldn't have been much more than I put and I had a lot of exercise calories that I didn't eat which wouldn't explain the difference. But I'm not too worried
01/05 11st 10.2lb Happy with this although it only takes me down 0.2lb from starting weight of round. Still not feeling well. I'm beginning to think I would have been better staying at home for Christmas instead of picking up bugs from family!
