Work is ridiculous this week. Many, maybe even most, folks took the first half of the week off to make a full week with the holidays. This leaves me here, with next to nothing to do. Not exactly true. I'm covering in ADG playing with the cool kid's toys, but that isn't much. I also have some quality management system stuff, but I really need a team for that. So instead I'm pretty much working on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most of my Christmas shopping is finished and all of my groceries are purchased except for blackberries which I'll get tonight.

This year Christmas has been mostly about experiences. Theater tickets, Hockey Tickets, Spa packages. There is seriously nothing I need, I picked out 3 sets of cute salt/pepper shakers on Wayfair for my niece to choose from. I get something I want and I get to be surprised. Win win. In my family we are getting our kids 2 or 3 nice gifts and then shopping for less fortunate families. We picked a couple of kids from the Salvation Army and let the kids shop for them Saturday, but there is this new family at church that I would really like to help. I just haven't figured out how to offer to help without offending anyone. I'd really rather they not even know it was from us. I know they are down on their luck and only 2 of the 4 kids appear to have coats. I grew up very poor and am now blessed with abundance. I'd really like to try to make their Christmas magical.

Med changes were a tad rough, but that has passed. I definitely feel more "with it" than I have in quite some time. I think the change was meant to happen. I got a call from my original doc office and was informed he is retiring due to health issues 12/1. I was going to have to change anyway. I'm just a little ahead. The binging has largely stopped and though I haven't started back at the gym, I am at least entertaining the idea again. The YMCA wants me to come back and teach spin classes again. I told them I was out of shape, but they say they know I can do it. Not to brag, but I had the best class in the gym. Not right now, but I'm keeping it in the back of my mind.

    Goalssssssss

    - Work on time
    - Work until at least 3:00pm (I only lasted until 11:00 yesterday)
    - Write out Christmas purchases so I don't forget or repeat folks
    - Find a new blackberry pie filling recipe, mine is just too runny
    - Stop at grocery
    - Bake pies tonight, pumpkin, apple, blackberry and chocolate pudding.
    - Bake cake tonight (maybe)
    - I'm already off plan for the day, but will have a good dinner.
    - Gratitude journal
    - Deuteronomy
    - Bed by 11:00

Whoops. Had a really nice relaxing weekend, but did a bit too much indulging. But I saved it for stuff that was worth it. We went to an open barn that a local farm puts on and had wood smoked ham and homemade mac and cheese and pot pies and whoopie pies. Then I cooked a turkey breast and some fixings and we had my parents over. Step dad and DH watched the game and me and mom got to hang out, it was SO nice. But then yesterday I stress ate for the majority of the day - DH is being hired on from temp to perm full time and they are performing a background check. They couldnt verify his last employment period since the company is now defunct. And I couldnt find last years w2 (only 2017 - which apparently didnt cut it). So I called around to the old payroll company, no luck. They said contact IRS - so I got our previous transcripts and submitted that with a page of our tax returns that showed matching W2 info - still didnt cut it. The verification specialist was a real stickler. So I ate a bunch of crap all day until I got home and finally found the dang original. PHEW! I did manage to just cook some pasta for dinner instead of ordering out - not the best, but better than the worst haha. I really dont want to go to the grocery store AT ALL before the holiday so we will probably be ordering out tonight and tomorrow, unless I can come up with something real creative haha. I saw my OB yesterday too - only gained 1 lb since last visit and measuring within range (1 week behind, but I was more worried about a big baby indicating gestational diabetes) - DH was a little baby and I was average size he may just be a little on the smaller side - we'll see. I do have the gestational diabetes test to complete within the next 3 weeks, a little nerve wracking with the holidays! But after thanksgiving I'll get a week of healthy breakfasts, lunch and dinner under my belt again and plan to take the test not this friday but next! Fingers, toes and all extremities crossed!!!

There's alot of you I want to reply to but not finding the time ATM! But I'm thinking of you all and especially those struggling with various things.

Sooo yesterday I actually had a really good day!
Perfect logging, in the green, choosing healthy snacks over unhealthy snacks, not binging and got a few waters in!
Think I've finally reached the "had enough of this now" moment and I feel like I won't have to try so hard to achieve my goals because I've got that motivation and determination. I'll just do them regardless of how I feel because I want the weight gone more than wanting a biscuit or chocolate etc.

I knew I'd get there eventually, I guess it's just the way I work. Just gotta wait for my mind to "click" and then I can do it! Feel like I'm in the right mindset!

However, I'm not gonna be posting goals on here. Let's face it, I never remember them LOL and plus I don't want to jinx it haha
I will start posting again in the new year once I get in the swing of it again

But I will post how I've done each day :)
No ones won this challenge yet have they? I'm still in with a chance!

I have had a trying few days and just haven’t had a chance to catch up. Like Bex I want to reply just don’t have time right now. Maybe tonight after I get home from the dentist.

Bex I lost track of the challenge but think I’m 2lbs down as of this morning. Again. It keeps going back up on me.

Recap T 11/26 ~ Leg feeling much better this morning but decided no dog walk or treadmill before work. Slept a bit extra then washed some dirty dishes before work instead.
    1) Move hourly / stairs breaks / 5 somethings = Fitbit 15,611 steps, 250+ 13/14 & 51 floors
    2) Meals (leftovers) & snacks prelogged / net calories zero / 14c water = Hungry after work & before supper, so ate healthy-ish snack of celery w/ peanut better... not great but better than I have been. Struggling with calories lately. Net cals -137 :( , sodium -674 :( , sugar -12 (mostly fruit/veg), fiber & protein excellent, 12c water
    3) More progress PA-RM (almost finished) :) just one criteria left to write-up / review GA-GC download report :) / IT hands-on meeting 1:30  great meeting w/ Rick & so helpful!
    4) Evening: walk dog if weather permits  wicked NE wind but rain held off so walked cul de sacs in neighborhood 2.64 mi 47:06 & enjoyed early Christmas lights = happy dog & happy me / wash towels :) (start as soon as get home) / finish washing dishes but I did put away clean dishes washed before work / fold & put away all laundry upstairs :) / other? boiled eggs :)
    5) Unplug 9:00 :) / FLOSS  / RETAINERS  / bed & tv off 10:20 :)

JFT W 11/27 ~ My right leg (behind knee) may have tendonitis... it ached Tues. morning then felt better in the afternoon so last night I walked dog, now this morning leg aches again. Think I may just have to completely rest leg until I have an entire day with no ache. Sad me & sad dog.
    1) Move hourly / stairs breaks / 5 somethings
    2) Meals & snacks prelogged / net calories zero (have been struggling with this especially with no exercise calories) / 14c water
    3) Finish PA-RM to extent can & email Bob for last bits of info / clear some Inbox / play around in Cognos app / usual weekly status updates
    4) Evening: pick up Breadsmith order / church service (choir there 6:30) / balance bank accts / update charity s/s / get out nickels container for tomorrow / other?
    5) Unplug 9:30 / floss / retainers / bed & tv off 10:20 (leave for sister's by 9 a.m.)

Tomorrow (Thanksgiving Day US) hubby and I leave town to spend the holiday with my family at my sister's house. Lots of car time (over 5 hours round trip) and sitting, but I wouldn't have it any other way. There will be lots of tempting food, so I plan to control portions, and not eat every snack or sweet there, plus keep drinking my water. Friday is also a work holiday for me, but not for hubby = sad hubby. No logging on MFP for me for at least one day. I plan to be in the moment and not online. Have a safe & happy Thanksgiving, US JFTers! I'll catch up with everyone later! <3

Yikes im 400 cals over today, probably had to do something about the McDonald's I just have!

Now I KNOW I had a long post like 2 days ago about how I'm going to eat well and choose good foods BUT I have sustained that for 3 days. And we got vouchers through today for a free meal for a polite complaint we made which was nice! So I decided why not? Life still happens, I'm going to treat myself. I don't feel like I've failed or anything I feel like I've worked hard to even manage 3 days so treat myself. It will be a while before I get anything like that again because we don't get it often.
I might even do some exercise tonight to reduce it to 200 over but not sure yet, I WANT to but I got to bath the kids, get them in bed and tidy up (although that might burn just as much lmao!)

    Hope everyone is enjoying thanksgiving!

Sorry I did not post goals this morning. I’m in the red having practised the main part of Christmas dinner so that I could freeze prepared items for my husband and give him a time plan for when he is alone Christmas Day. He will have to do carrots from scratch but I’ve prepared a stuffed chicken breast, the veg for roasting and all the trimmings. I have to confess to having my usual Christmas brandy after my meal and acknowledge that I was not testing that for my husband as he does not drink brandy! Tomorrow I will make a start on making decorations for the Christmas cake. I’ll get it iced and wrapped so that it will be a surprise for him Christmas Day.

Good wishes to those of you who are celebrating Thanksgiving.

Lol who keeps "disagreeing" on stuff?
Someone's disagreed on my 5lb challenge stats lmao!

My 1lb gain not good enough for you? Hey, hey?!?!

    😂😂

It's probably just a mistake. I have accidentally hit the disagree button myself without noticing. It's very easily done on a touchpad. I just went back to check, just in case. Lol! But it wasn't me.

Eugh Casey is poorly and she had been crying for 3 hours straight.
It's just a cold but yesterday she was so congested she was vomiting because she had swallowed all the phlegm or whatever. And had a soaring temperature which I treated with ibuprofen and it did come down.
And today she seems better in herself in that she doesn't have a temperature and she's ate her breakfast but she just won't stop.
    She seems massively restless too.

I've just put her in bed a minute ago in case she was struggling to sleep on the sofa and I'm hoping she'll stop soon. I'm pretty sure 3 hours of crying would tire her out. But she normally just naps on the sofa?

Oh I don't know. I think she's stopping now. I'll have to wait til she's fully asleep before I sneak out lmao.
