Checking in. My wife is doing better - we've seen two good days in a row. Hoping for three today. 🤞
My weight is up and down, but I'm holding under 200. Not sleeping well or getting enough exercise. Always room for improvement there.
Hope the good days continue.

Hey everyone, I am sad to hear so many places still have covid restrictions. We practise good hygiene and most but not all people use the tracing app. we haven’t had cases in the community for such a long time. But we are way behind with vaccinations. Only just starting here really. I am over 65 and haven’t had the call to have one yet.
I am not losing weight, I am just treading water, will have to lower calorie allowance and completely cut any sugars until I get a bit of traction on losing weight.
It is just too easy to make excuses for not doing a nice long walk,,, middle of winter, short days,, cold days,,🙆♀️I could go on forever🤦♀️
Good luck to everyone👋🏻👋🏻2 -
Hello all, thought maybe this time if I used more of the tools, like joining a group for people my age who are also trying to do battle with the bulge, that I might be more accountable and successful. My name is Maggie and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.7

Happy Friday Peeps! Let’s make this one count. Log food, get steps, do that workout. Do one healthy thing at a time and it adds up!6

Thank you, all, for your encouragement and kind words. This little corner of the world is keeping me sane.SummerSkier wrote: »Steve. praying the good trend continues. Any thoughts about her able to be released?
Another good day yesterday - that's three in a row. Kathy's pain is decreasing and mobility is improving. Radiation treatments are due to be completed 6/16. She should be able to return home after that.
Contractor is being scheduled to blow up a bathroom and add a walk-in shower. Oh joy!

Hi. I’m so proud to say I managed to walk 4 days this week and will try to walk this evening to make it 5. That’s the most I’ve done since I’ve been trying to exercise lately. The weight is not coming off too well but I am staying the same within a pound or so. It’s been a long time since I’ve lost. Thank God I’m sticking with it though!8

Hi to all. I’m new as of today. I’m an almost 70 yr old retired hospice RN who needs to take care of herself now. I lost 70# in 2017 but had set backs with back surgeries in 2017 & 2020; daughter died of ovarian cancer in 2018; cared for my mother with dementia in my home for 6 years. She died in 2020. So I gained most of it back. Time to do this again. It’s time to focus on me! Glad for this over 60 group.13

Welcome Deb. I totally understand the need to finally take care of yourself. I have recently retired as the founder and executive director of a bereavement center for children and their families who have lost a loved one. Time to focus on us! Good luck in your weight loss journey and rediscovering yourself.8

Good to see the carers caring for yourselves.6

Special hugs to Steve and Kathy. Xo8 -

Hi Maggie,
I just joined the group recently myself. Welcome!

Drive-by check in. My wife is making progress - back pain is lessening. She should be home by next week. That will improve her mood, I hope. Then we can start the second phase of this journey.
Good to see all of you working on your goals. Reminds me to stay on track, too.16 -

That's really good news, Steve. Keeping hope that she may achieve a real remission, but even the reduced pain and good days are a wonderful thing - not that you need someone to tell you that!
Continuing to think of you both, send positive wishes.3 -
🙏great news Steve!1

Just now getting set up, tho it seems I joined back in 2017 and then got lost somewhere! LOL I have 2 friends who just settled in here, still need to find Ronda.
I am 68, having a rough ride at the moment but still seated and want to finish well.
I have Diabetes, Type 2, heart disease, CKD stage 3...and just want to make the most of the years I have left to me.
I still work full time and hope to continue 2 years but that's a God thing....I hope I'll know when it's time to go. I've been there 22.5 years now.
Wishing you all a blessed and joyful day....
