Last week was one sugar rush to another. Totally lost the plot - not enough sleep or exercise and too much stress and sugar.
Goal this round is to get my eating back under control!

@quiltingjaine I am struggling with meal prep this week. I have zero ambition on Sundays. Then yesterday and today it was almost 7pm before I got home. I did make it to Aldi and Kroger to get the food today. I just have zero interest in spending the remainder of my night cooking. I might try again tomorrow. Once I get going, it goes pretty smoothly.
Tonight, it’s a heat-and-eat dinner! I’m whooped. 😴🥴7 -
hahahaha Karen ~ love the discipline and self control, awesome sauce!2/12-167-When I got back to my dad’s house yesterday, there were Girl Scout Cookies and banana bread people had brought him.....I just had a taste of each and walked away.....and rode the bike.
Congrats on losing 50 pounds!!! Wooohoooo ~ WTG beautiful02/12 - 149 -- There it is again. 50 pounds down! Hopefully it sticks! Walked 4 fast miles yesterday, plus an hour of zumba and strength class. This morning I walked 6 miles and got stuck in the rain. Then I did water aerobics. I felt drier once I got in the pool.
You and me both Donna!!! I'm so tall though it's totally unrealistic without looking like a cartoon character, lol
On a side note, there's a scene where she's exercising in class that totally reminds me of Jack laLanne.
Would love to add that clip to my routines just for fun!!

Haven't been doing very well lately. Got completely derailed on the last round. I am up 9 lbs from my November low and back over my never cross line. I've been trying to figure out why I am having such a hard time with staying on track lately. Partly it is the winter blues and the reduction in activity when it is too cold or too icy to go out. Partly it is that I still have some lessons and skills to learn. Thinking back to my 230lb self I have learned portion size, I have identified some trigger foods, I exercise regularly now and would not want to stop. I enjoy my increased strength and mobility. I no longer eat in response to sadness or anger. BUT I still eat in response to exhaustion /sleep deprivation and anxiety. When I am exhausted I feel weak and sorry for myself. When I am anxious I am restless and unfocused. So I need to work on better recognition (before the mindless eating begins) and an alternative coping mechanism. I am thinking maybe breathing exercises and maybe a mantra or a prayer. Today is almost over but will try this tomorrow.
TLDR. Still an emotional eater

”Consistency over a day - no problem. Consistency over a week - ehh. Consistency over a month is hard. Now think about consistency over six months or a year. That takes grit, accountability and preparation.”— Author UnknownRound 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)

Round 67 – Did not participate (2/11/19 375.4)
Net change 2019 = (+2.0)- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

@allmannerofthings I hear ya! I feel like a yo-yo. I do really well for a few days then sabotage myself for a few. This up and down weather isn’t helping. -11 one week, 62 the next. Rain then snow then back to rain. I refuse to pay for a gym so I’m stuck riding the bike at my house but some days I just don’t want to do it. We all go thru the good times and the bad.
Go back and revisit what DID work for you. Remember it is one meal at a time and one day at a time. I’m in a *down* mood right now but will do my best to make it thru and then really work hard when my mood is back on the upswing.
We are in this together! We can do it.9 -

Just a fluctuation or else I don't know what I might have done wrong to earn this gain. I stayed under calories, worked out and drank 1.6 liters of water. 19,000+ steps. The past couple of rounds I haven't been coming to the group as often, although still weighing in every day but I want to make this group apart of my priority..it took so long to read the last thread and get caught up on all your progresses but I did it!

Round 67 ~|~ End goal: <164
11/02: 165.0: Goals: Gentle exercise after my intense 2 days of strength.
Not sure if the stall/increase is because of weekend food choices, increased strength training, or both. It's sometimes a trade-off situation when one decides to work on muscle toning. Looking forward to Round 68.
Round 68 ~|~ End goal: <164

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.
- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.

Goal is to lose 1 pound a week
02/12: 144.8// Today was a lazy day, it’s snowy out and gym was closed. I played videos for the majority of my day (I think 10 hours?) It sounds bad but it kept me distracted from junk cravings I would usually have since I focused on gaming.

Aiming to carry on where I left off! Aiming for a loss of 1.5lb this round. Two things this round - Valentines on Thursday (so will be an M&S Dine in for Two dinner with hubby - 3 courses with wine) and then the weekend is cheer comp - two VERY long days of cheerleading at the Olympic Park which usually results in less than ideal food choices and usually a take out on the way home (McD's or KFC usually as that's all that's open at 11pm at night Will try to build in to my calories and macros and make sensible choices......
Good luck everyone
End R67 - 148.0lb
