Day/Weight/Comment
03/04: 250lbs | just starting back at MFP and the gym. I expect to see a big loss this week from the sudden change in diet and exercise. **Edit: changed original weigh-in as I'd guessed at first and then actually weighed myself
03/05: 246.6lbs (-3.4 lbs) | again, expected as I'm just getting back in it with a lot of weight to lose. Did a 30 minute cardio yesterday and walked throughout the day. Kept my calories in range. Doing good!
03/06: 246.6 lbs (-3.4 lbs) | no change, but I kept off those 3 lbs, so I'm happy. Keeping up with my workouts and eating right
03/07: 244.8 lbs (-5.2 lbs) | keeping on keeping on. Working out and eating right. I know these dramatic drops are short-lived so I'm enjoying the numbers for the moment

03/04: 312.50 (+4.00) - Not a surprise or a worry. I'm having severe fatigue issues right now, I treated myself to whatever I wanted from a fish and chip shop yesterday evening, a lot of deep fried food, a lot of salt, and overall an extremely heavy evening meal. Expected a gain today. Still feel full from it! Kept it light until then, so only came in around maintainance. Planning the same today calorie-wise for my sanity, and in the hopes a small refeed may help my fatigue. This is my pill free week so I'm more prone to gaining and holding water during it, I have no idea how I'll do this week, I'll make sure I'm under maintainance, otherwise I'm not too worried, although I'd like to go back to my defecit tomorrow. I won't allow myself over and regaining weight, losing it is best for my health in the long run! But fatigue always makes me very hungry, hence the sanity side of a refeed. Tricky balance at times.
03/05: 312.25 (-0.25) - Expected higher, high calories yesterday and I feel bloated. Shark week issues. Overall ok.
03/06: 310.00 (-2.25) - Feel bloated as anything so I checked this multiple times. I expect I'll have a small Woosh sometime soon though, when any period water weight eases off (plus TMI, my digestive system has come to a standstill), getting under 308 is so near, it's almost frustrating!
03/07: 311.00 (+1.00) - Bounce. Realised dealing with my Grandma is one of my comfort eating triggers, which is depressing. She has dementia issues, sometimes even a basic conversation is getting impossible now some days. I love her, it's hard work though caring for her though. Dad does most of it, but he's disabled and not very well right now. Worries me that I'll be moving away soon too.

I'm back at it again! I used to do these challenges back in 2017 and lost over 30 pounds but then life happened and I fell off the wagon and gained it all back. I am hoping to lose a total of 60 pounds over the next year and this keeps me accountable!
Goal weight: 140-150
Short-term goal: Be under 200 by April 1st
Day/Weight/Comment
03/04 207.8 just like riding a bike - getting back to eating better and moving more. It's all a matter of deciding to do it!
03/05 207 I feel bloated this morning. I should try to stop eating by 7 or 8 pm.
03/06 - 205.4 I got some weird sickness yesterday around 2pm with fever, body aches, chills so I haven't eaten anything since 1pm - hence the big weight drop. Today I'm almost back to 100% but still no appetite. Oh and now it's my TOM soo... That would be where the bloating came from yesterday!
03/07 - 204.6 I still didn't have much of an appetite yesterday and today is looking to be the same.

Current weight: 134 (highest in a year!)
Lowest weight: 122 (a year ago now -- felt great!!)
Goal weight: anything under 125! I feel so close!

3/05 -- 134.0 Back to mindful eating! Power yoga tonight (75 minute class!) So maybe back to the 133's tomorrow...
3/6 -- 132.8 Making progress!
3/7 -- 132.3 I am so busy this week (I teach at a community college and it's the week before Spring Break -- so many things to get done!) that I'm literally not thinking about food. This is good! There are lots of cookies and muffins around -- this is bad! It's interesting -- if you just say "oh, I can't eat that!" and laugh, it's kind of empowering. I am in control of what I eat... no one else.15 -

03/04โ211.8โHad a hungry day yesterday, but also an exercise-filled day. My head is fine (I smacked it hard yesterday on the tailgate of my car). This is gonna be a good week.
03/05โ211.4โAnother rather hungry day, though I was able to keep my calories in a good place. I hate the cold, but I took a nice long walk yesterday while it was in the thirties. I felt fairly invigorated, but I probably won't do that again today.
03/06โ212.8โNot a concerning bump for several reasons. 1. Bumps happen; 2. I had a Frosty yesterday; 3. This was an early weigh-in; 4. My digestive system is positively wonky! Still having a good week, though I'm terribly sleepy this moment as I sit at my desk and attempt to write regulatory comments!
03/07โ212.6โTummy troubles continue to plague me and work continues to be very busy. But things are otherwise looking very spiffy! We're in the middle of planning a trip to Ireland in late May that's going to be fabulous.

Hi-Iโm Karen
Sept. 2018 OSW 187 (Was my Round #1)
UGW 135.....yes, 135!
Goal this round-159-hopefully!
3/4-166-Birthday cake and ice cream for dinner with our widowed friend. (All of our kids are grown and gone.)I knew I was going to feel awful, so I had milk with protein powder and some peanut butter....Our friend is very trim and fit and I never see her eat crap like that, but yesterday was her exception, and we happily joined in. I got her flowers (because I see how healthy she eats)and her sister in law brought her a cake and ice cream and I realized what a wonderful gesture that was because I realized nobody else provided her with a cake and she is a mom. I realized then, that โevery mom deserves a cakeโ.
3/5-162-That is a swoosh I had been expecting. I ate sensibly yesterday and got to walk in the morning and evening.
3/6-165-Salty soup and salad dressing. More rain, so I have to get out walking soon.
3/7-162-I got down to this last round. That is 25 pounds since I started in September. I just want to encourage anyone who is struggling: Please donโt give up! It all takes time, just as we did not gain our weight over night, we canโt lose it all over night. I love looking back at how much everyone else weighed & lost and it gives me hope to keep going.
You people are the only people on earth who know how much I weigh!
Iโm glad you are all here!!!
Letโs have a great round!!!17 -

Probably can do better as I am just starting to work out/loss weight but want to be honest with myself and a goal I know I can meet. Real goal even more so then the weight loss is to get my lazy butt to the gym at least 4 days a week.
Day/Weight/Comment
03/04 - 237.7 LB - Snow shoveling for 30 minutes planing 30 minutes run later tonight.
03/05 - 236.7 LB -Planing to do another 30 minutes run today. So far so good I know this is a lot of water weight but its great seeing it drop so fast even knowing its going to slow down soon.
03/06 - 236.00 No plans to do a workout today. however because of all the water weight I am losing I am setting a new goal to 232. Figure 5 LB of water weight and 2~3 of real weight loss.
03/07 - 235.3 - did no cardio yesterday. Today planing to do a light cardio 15 minutes following up with some light weight training(first time in years! can not wait)

Height: 5"3
SW: 219.2
SW for this challenge: 202.6
GW for this challenge: 199.8
Ultimate GW: 141
Day/Weight/Comment
03/04: 202.6 (Iโm glad I started at a good number! I lost about 0.4 pounds since yesterday which never happens on a Monday morning. Iโm hoping for a great start to the week! Last night I ate some soup and salad and did a 40 minute stepper workout.)
03/05: 201.2 (This drop was nice! I felt very energized last night to do my 2 workouts. One was 20 minutes on the elliptical and the other was a core workout. I even made a nice oven fried chicken dinner too which is rare for a Monday since I usually do those on the weekend. I think all this working out is really affecting my energy level, in a good way, and I love it!)
03/06: 201.4 (A slight increase which most likely has to do with an increase in exercise. On a weekly basis, I increase my minutes on the elliptical and the last two weeks this has been affecting my weight loss with most likely water weight because of my sore muscles. But I'll stay the course and I'm sure one day the pounds will fall!)
03/07: 200.8 (I did a short upper body strength training exercise last night and had a couple of slices of cheese pizza! I was very sleepy and had a wonderful 7 hours of sleep. I'm so close to reaching my goal!)

Day/Weight/Comment:
03/04 - 137.4 lbs. (Up 2.4 pounds) I think yesterday was a fluke and that I showed as 135 because I was so dehydrated. I drank like 5 vodka sodas on Saturday night, but I also did so much dancing! Haha. So today I am back to the basics but I have changed my calories to 1480 (losing .5 lb per week). I hope I can stick with this without worrying about gaining weight. 1480 is not that much.
03/05 136.4 lbs. Coming back down ๐ I had a hard time eating up to my calorie goal yesterday. But I did eat more than 1200, (1346), and since I realized eating too much in the evening is challenging I will add an extra 100 calories to my breakfast ๐. I think it's my Fitbit that threw me off. I don't want to see my chart turn red (i.e. more calories in than out). But it's mind over matter right now. I am trying to build myself up for life long success.
03/06 136.4 lbs. ๐ This is good! I increased my calories yesterday and I was afraid it might show on the scale (1471). I think this is going great and honestly I had a moment of self reflection yesterday where I realized this last 1.5 pounds doesn't really matter. I'm happy with where my body is at right now. I just don't want to gain weight back. And NSV Yesterday I got a pair of jeans I ordered from Old Navy in the mail and they fit perfectly.
03/07 136.4 lbs. 1477 calories yesterday. Eating more throughout the day has become much easier. When I saw the scale go so quickly to 136.4 again my first thought is maybe the scale is glitching, but in reality I think this is just my new normal and that's just fine. My clothes fit so much better and I feel stronger as well. I've been doing yoga now for 39 straight days and today I am going to start the Dedicate 30 day yoga journey ๐ง I hope you guys have a lovely Thursday

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

Mar 5 - 176.2 - Iโm not sure what is going on with all of these fluctuations. Maybe I need to change batteries in my scale.

03/04 177.2I was super tired yesterday and I'm feeling like TOM is about to start. I went a smidge over calories but I got in a short walk too. I have a short week at work, which is nice. Tomorrow is my day off, but my son and I both have dentist appointments. Then I work Wednesday and get Thursday, Friday and the weekend off! I'm thinking of something fun to do on those days!
03/05 177 My son and I both have dentist appointments today, and Iโm considering getting some walking in. Have a great day today!
03/06 176.4 I had a pretty good day yesterday. The dentist trip wasn't too terrible and I got in some relaxing. I was within calories, did not meet my step goal but did get in a 30 minute workout.
03/07 176.8 I got in lots of steps yesterday and did a short Walk At Home workout. It was snowing so I didn't feel like walking outside. ๐ Today Iโm having lunch with my Mom and sister and taking my son to see LEGO Movie 2! I totally plan to bring my own snacks!

03/04: 177.1 I did not post the last three days of last round. I was on the road with no scale, then even after trying to stay low on sodium I was high. It was a rough weekend for me and now it's TOM. I'm traveling again this week so no scale until Thursday. I didn't walk all weekend. I have no excuse other than laziness and bad choices. I could have walked both Friday and Saturday but didn't make it a priority. Now I feel like a bloated slug. My boyfriend broke his wrist last week, which shouldn't be a big deal but he has multiple myeloma which makes his bones brittle and I'm afraid this is a foreshadowing of things to come. He knows it, I know it but we don't talk about it. This is TMI, this post is TMI on multiple levels but it is directly impacting my food and exercise choices. In a few days I'll be back on track and all of these terrible thoughts will be put on a back burner.
03/05 no scale I did ok on food yesterday though there were more chocolate calories than technically necessary but I was within calorie goal. I'm back in St. Louis for the week. I'm going to the gym tonight for weights and staying within calories. I bought a swimsuit so there will be Kris Water Aerobics probably tomorrow night.
03/06 no scale I did stay within calories and worked out last night. This training did allow us to pick our own lunches, which saved some calories but still not what I would choose on my own. Tonight walking or water aerobics? Can't decide maybe a little of both.
03/07 no scale Much better food day yesterday, fewer sweets and more veggies! I got in a 3.7 mile walk around a lake here in St. Louis. It was in the high 30's felt good when the sun was out, not so much otherwise. Driving home today with a stop on the Katy Trail for another walk, just trying to figure out the timing because I also have a webinar I'll have to do from the road. I try to turn my travel time into fun walking time instead of sitting my lazy butt in a hotel all night every night. Here is a pic of the frozen waterfall...

3/4 - 134.6 - yesterday wildly over calories, a stress-tired-emo eating day. 5K steps.
Today starting a wellness campaign at work where my goal is 10K steps a day, 5 servings of veg and fruit.
3/5 - 133.4 - yesterday under calorie goal, 12K steps including a 2 mile run with my new (canine) running buddy. Raining today, so getting steps in may be a challenge. Gonna try for 30 flights of the basement stairs at work.
3/6 - 133.4 - yesterday under calorie goal, 10K steps, nice walk at lunchtime. Did 20 flights of stairs, trying for the full 30 today.
3/7 - 132.2 - yesterday under calorie goal, 10K steps, did not manage any stairs since I got absolutely nailed to my desk by emergencies; however got a nice bodyweight strength workout in at home.

03/04 142 holy cow, what a gain. Had friends over and went crazy on the sweets, treats, wines and salty foods. I am assuming it's all bloat and nothing to worry about. Last night was the last night of doing this terrible. March is here which means new goals (I am focusing on toning) and new weight goals (I am not going to worry about my weight trend and just have the loss comes as it comes) it's time to get serious. At least 3 months until summer
03/05 140.6 ye the salt bloat is coming off, i havent worked out in three days and am looking to change that today. One foot in front of the other
03/06 139.4 worked out hard and ate under Calories
03/07 138.4 worked out hard and ate under Calories. Its so crazy how much of a struggle it is to take weight off but the day you decide to eat "normally" and with everyone else and it takes 4 days to take it off. Sheeeeesh!! I feel like it is always the same argument. I mentally finally feel serious all over again...just want the mentality to stick.

03/04 155.7, new week, new month. Iโm feeling confident I can get to my goal of 152 by the end of the month.
10,832 Steps, 35 minutes of exercise, 72 oz of water
03/05 155.5, today is Mardi Gras and I am giving up chips and cereal for lent (my two snacking vices so might indulge a bit in both of those). Tomorrow, I am going to do two small meals and will be meat free on Fridays.
8927 steps, 60 minutes of exercise, 72 oz of water
03/06 155.5, Iโll take being the same weight since the weather has been terrible here with rain and high winds. I love walking for errands so itโs been challenging getting steps in with the weather. Today Iโm going to fast for Ash Wednesday. I normally take a basic strength class on Wednesdayโs but will take it on Saturday instead bc too intense for a fasting day.
17,002 steps, 60 minutes of exercise, 72 oz of water
03/07 154.4, was not expecting that drop and it could be that I only had a couple small meals yesterday because it was Ash Wednesday, but I am so excited to finally see a number under 155

My mother in law got lost, ran out of gas,and we had to try to help her from 10 hours away. Thanks to the New Mexico State police we got someone out there to help her. On top of that my brother was rushed to emergency surgery for an abscess and sepsis. Todayโs goal is to not over eat from stress and being tired.
03/05- 354.2 My brother is doing well and should be out of the hospital tomorrow. After posting yesterday I realized my kitchen pipe was frozen, we got it thawed without any additional problems. My mother in law is still on the road, but is now deciding to stop at night rather than risk going into ditches or running out of gas. Thanks again to my supportive spouse I didnโt binge eat yesterday. Partially because he did! Thatโs right he stress ate a few baked goods I had set aside so that I wouldnโt.
03/06- 355.2 It took a good long look at yesterdayโs diary to figure this one out. I think itโs from my pancakes and muffin dinner with a bit of sodium weight tossed in. Itโs okay I know that itโs water and will be gone in a day or two.
03/07- 355 I had hoped for more, but I know Iโll see a bigger drop soon. I just need to get my water back under control.

Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

03/03 150.6 ~ (Steps 13,743) ~ My main focus for this round is making time for myself, doing what needs to move the scale the right way. This might sound selfish but for now itโs the only thing thatโs will work unfortunately, ๐๐ผ
03/04 149.1 ~ (Steps 9,703) ~ Tough day but successful in no LNS, yay.
03/05 149.5 ~ (Steps 11,588) ~ I decided to go get my hair cut and colored, this helped my mood tremendously ๐๐ผ
03/06 150.6 ~ (Steps 18,781) ~ Even though the weight is back up, I had a marvelous day hitting all my goals.

๐๐ผ๐๐ผ This is NOT A DIET. Itโs a LIFESTYLE. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ15 -
@zappa2017 and ALL - Look back 2-3 days to explain gains and losses. I have found that they are not immediate.
@amfmmama WHOO! That temperature!!!!!
@puttyputty Are your tummy issues related to Celiac disease?
@AR10at50 Karen, you are so right! Everyone needs to hang tough, as we used to say. Iโm pretty sure that I have, in the past, mentioned the t-shirt a friend picked up for my husband after the 1 October shooting here. My husband jokingly told him to get a ladies small, which he did. After seeing it, he and his wife said we should give it to one of our granddaughters, at the time they were 12 and 13, and I weighed 157.5#. A year later (this past October,) I was down to 132.5 and below my goal. Without these challenges, I would not have realized the progress I had made AND that tiny t-shirt fits ME!8
