Facts: age: 61, female, 5'3"
Highest weight: 198 (decades ago ... )
Current weight: 134 (highest in a year!)
Lowest weight: 122 (a year ago now -- felt great!!)
Goal weight: anything under 125! I feel so close!
3/04 -- 134.8 letting the dust settle from the weekend!
3/05 -- 134.0 Back to mindful eating! Power yoga tonight (75 minute class!) So maybe back to the 133's tomorrow...
3/6 -- 132.8 Making progress!
3/7 -- 132.3 I am so busy this week (I teach at a community college and it's the week before Spring Break -- so many things to get done!) that I'm literally not thinking about food. This is good! There are lots of cookies and muffins around -- this is bad! It's interesting -- if you just say "oh, I can't eat that!" and laugh, it's kind of empowering. I am in control of what I eat... no one else.
3/8 -- 132.2 Spring is coming -- you can feel it in the air (still cold, but sunny, and well, just a little springier out there! I am pleased with this round so far. Weekend plans all weekend, and of course they all involve eating and drinking with friends. I have to remember how close I am to wearing those summer clothes!17 -
I am in again. No expectations.. just going to do my best. *I hope this is a successful round for you all!

You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. - John C. MaxwellMy goal for 2019 is to get into ONEderland. - Daily Vitamins (Dr’s orders; need to not ignore)

Day/Weight/Comment
03/04: 245.8 - I ate some delicious food yesterday and it shows. No use crying over spilled hollandaise sauce, just need to get back on track today. I have no regrets.
03/05: 243.8 - I've been sticking to my workouts and stayed within my calories yesterday. I'm crossing my fingers that I see 242 this week because everytime I see 243 it keeps going back up. I need to get past the 5 lb mark! I'm ignoring my additional "exercise calories".
03/06: 243.6 - of course I would have love to see that number go down more but if I can see a 0.2 loss every day I will be happy. Plus I've never held 243 more than one day without going back up so that's an achievement in itself. I logged all my food yesterday, did my C25K workout, and got in 11,800 steps. My calories were a smidge high so I'll concentrate on keeping those low today.
03/07: 244 - frustrated. End of comment.
03/08: 243.6 - did my c25k training yesterday, got 11,300 steps, lots of sleep last night. I'm still frustrated. I may need to take a few days off from weighing myself.

Probably can do better as I am just starting to work out/loss weight but want to be honest with myself and a goal I know I can meet. Real goal even more so then the weight loss is to get my lazy butt to the gym at least 4 days a week.
Day/Weight/Comment
03/04 - 237.7 LB - Snow shoveling for 30 minutes planing 30 minutes run later tonight.
03/05 - 236.7 LB -Planing to do another 30 minutes run today. So far so good I know this is a lot of water weight but its great seeing it drop so fast even knowing its going to slow down soon.
03/06 - 236.00 No plans to do a workout today. however because of all the water weight I am losing I am setting a new goal to 232. Figure 5 LB of water weight and 2~3 of real weight loss.
03/07 - 235.3 - did no cardio yesterday. Today planing to do a light cardio 15 minutes following up with some light weight training(first time in years! can not wait)
03/08 - 235.5 - no real change from yesterday. Planing another run today.

I'm back at it again! I used to do these challenges back in 2017 and lost over 30 pounds but then life happened and I fell off the wagon and gained it all back. I am hoping to lose a total of 60 pounds over the next year and this keeps me accountable!
Goal weight: 140-150
Short-term goal: Be under 200 by April 1st
Day/Weight/Comment
03/04 207.8 just like riding a bike - getting back to eating better and moving more. It's all a matter of deciding to do it!
03/05 207 I feel bloated this morning. I should try to stop eating by 7 or 8 pm.
03/06 - 205.4 I got some weird sickness yesterday around 2pm with fever, body aches, chills so I haven't eaten anything since 1pm - hence the big weight drop. Today I'm almost back to 100% but still no appetite. Oh and now it's my TOM soo... That would be where the bloating came from yesterday!
03/07 - 204.6 I still didn't have much of an appetite yesterday and today is looking to be the same.
03/08 - 205 I forgot to weigh myself before I drank a bunch of water this morning so that might be why I'm higher today. Also, had popcorn at a basketball game last night so I'm sure the salt and carb intake isn't helping things. I almost ate a brownie yesterday but drank water and had 2 sour patch kids instead to satisfy my sweet-tooth. I was proud of myself for that! Hahaha!

Day/Weight/Comment
03/04 185.8 Well starting off on a good path today. Had a great session in the gym, lots of energy and lifts going up! Eating today was on calorie target, as well.
03/05 185.2 getting closer! Day 2 of yoga 30 day challenge completion. Drinking all the water today too.
03/06 185.0 sigh, well I shouldn't complain. Better than the alternative. Day 3 Yoga in the books, eating is on track other than I had a BIG oatmeal raisin cookie with my kale salad for lunch. I forgot I have a girl's night tonight so now I need to watch it for the rest of the day! "Spaghetti" squash casserole for dinner.
03/07 184.6 looks good, a couple ounces down. Good lifts today in the gym, I have been feeling pretty good in my body thanks to the yoga. Lots more flexibility and less aches and pains! Birthday dinner for my sis at a snazzy restaurant tonight.. Should be challenging
03/08 186.8 Well hello salty dinner. I did fine considering. Shrimp cocktail for appetizer, only small piece of bread, a couple of pomme frites and couple ounces steak. Split a dessert with the birthday girl instead of ordering a whole one just for me! Hope it goes away quickly. Yoga day 4 coming up today.

OSW: 252
Round 69 SW: 211.6
03/04—211.8—Had a hungry day yesterday, but also an exercise-filled day. My head is fine (I smacked it hard yesterday on the tailgate of my car). This is gonna be a good week.
03/05—211.4—Another rather hungry day, though I was able to keep my calories in a good place. I hate the cold, but I took a nice long walk yesterday while it was in the thirties. I felt fairly invigorated, but I probably won't do that again today.
03/06—212.8—Not a concerning bump for several reasons. 1. Bumps happen; 2. I had a Frosty yesterday; 3. This was an early weigh-in; 4. My digestive system is positively wonky! Still having a good week, though I'm terribly sleepy this moment as I sit at my desk and attempt to write regulatory comments!
03/07—212.6—Tummy troubles continue to plague me and work continues to be very busy. But things are otherwise looking very spiffy! We're in the middle of planning a trip to Ireland in late May that's going to be fabulous.
03/08—211.2—New lows are always nice.

Round 70 here we go! Glad to see everyone back for another go at this.
HW (age 14) - 175 lb
SW Jan 2015 - 165 lb
SW Jan 2019 - 147.5 lb
GW - 135 lb
R67 EW = 141 lb; ∆ = -2.2 lb
R68 EW = 138.2 lb; ∆ = -2.8 lb
R69 EW = 135 lb; ∆ = -3.2 lb
Day/Weight/Comment:
03/04 - 137.4 lbs. (Up 2.4 pounds) I think yesterday was a fluke and that I showed as 135 because I was so dehydrated. I drank like 5 vodka sodas on Saturday night, but I also did so much dancing! Haha. So today I am back to the basics but I have changed my calories to 1480 (losing .5 lb per week). I hope I can stick with this without worrying about gaining weight. 1480 is not that much.
03/05 136.4 lbs. Coming back down 🙌 I had a hard time eating up to my calorie goal yesterday. But I did eat more than 1200, (1346), and since I realized eating too much in the evening is challenging I will add an extra 100 calories to my breakfast 🙂. I think it's my Fitbit that threw me off. I don't want to see my chart turn red (i.e. more calories in than out). But it's mind over matter right now. I am trying to build myself up for life long success.
03/06 136.4 lbs. 😃 This is good! I increased my calories yesterday and I was afraid it might show on the scale (1471). I think this is going great and honestly I had a moment of self reflection yesterday where I realized this last 1.5 pounds doesn't really matter. I'm happy with where my body is at right now. I just don't want to gain weight back. And NSV Yesterday I got a pair of jeans I ordered from Old Navy in the mail and they fit perfectly.
03/07 136.4 lbs. 1477 calories yesterday. Eating more throughout the day has become much easier. When I saw the scale go so quickly to 136.4 again my first thought is maybe the scale is glitching, but in reality I think this is just my new normal and that's just fine. My clothes fit so much better and I feel stronger as well. I've been doing yoga now for 39 straight days and today I am going to start the Dedicate 30 day yoga journey
03/08 137 lbs. Yesterday's stats: 1456 calories, 3,025 mg sodium, 10,000 steps, yoga, and body resistance strength training. Why am I up? I did move my scale to a different part of my floor and it seemed to calculate longer, so my guess is my weight has been creeping up. Also I had way more sodium than I usually do. I need to watch that. But it's just so hard. I can't imagine how much sodium I must have consumed before I started logging. Also I think my water was lower yesterday so I'll drink much more today to see if that helps. ✌️♥️

03/04: 177.1 I did not post the last three days of last round. I was on the road with no scale, then even after trying to stay low on sodium I was high. It was a rough weekend for me and now it's TOM. I'm traveling again this week so no scale until Thursday. I didn't walk all weekend. I have no excuse other than laziness and bad choices. I could have walked both Friday and Saturday but didn't make it a priority. Now I feel like a bloated slug. My boyfriend broke his wrist last week, which shouldn't be a big deal but he has multiple myeloma which makes his bones brittle and I'm afraid this is a foreshadowing of things to come. He knows it, I know it but we don't talk about it. This is TMI, this post is TMI on multiple levels but it is directly impacting my food and exercise choices. In a few days I'll be back on track and all of these terrible thoughts will be put on a back burner.
03/05 no scale I did ok on food yesterday though there were more chocolate calories than technically necessary but I was within calorie goal. I'm back in St. Louis for the week. I'm going to the gym tonight for weights and staying within calories. I bought a swimsuit so there will be Kris Water Aerobics probably tomorrow night.
03/06 no scale I did stay within calories and worked out last night. This training did allow us to pick our own lunches, which saved some calories but still not what I would choose on my own. Tonight walking or water aerobics? Can't decide maybe a little of both.
03/07 no scale Much better food day yesterday, fewer sweets and more veggies! I got in a 3.7 mile walk around a lake here in St. Louis. It was in the high 30's felt good when the sun was out, not so much otherwise. Driving home today with a stop on the Katy Trail for another walk, just trying to figure out the timing because I also have a webinar I'll have to do from the road. I try to turn my travel time into fun walking time instead of sitting my lazy butt in a hotel all night every night. Here is a pic of the frozen waterfall...
aua8mces6ge8.jpg
03/08 177.2 Well a couple days of eating out every meal will screw me on sodium every week. But my exercise has been on point this week and I know calories in/calories out should have me in a better place. Yesterday's walk was a trail closer to home (the timing did not work out, no Katy trail this week). It was nice, I'll go back. Since it was a Thursday at 4:00 pm and cold I didn't see another human being but lots of deer and about 1,000 squirrels. Definitely going outside tonight- it's supposed to be in the mid 40's. You know it's been a long winter when you're thinking it's going to be 45 degrees.... SWEEET heat wave!

quiltingjaine wrote: »@puttyputty Are your tummy issues related to Celiac disease?
@quiltingjaine, yep. Had a minor exposure a while back and it takes me a really long time to recover. I know some people with Celiac who choose to eat gluten sometimes. And these are people who are symptomatic, not the people who don't get any signals of anything wrong. I can't even wrap my head around that!3 -

03/04- 354.8 I’m seriously surprised by this loss. I stayed on track yesterday, but had a horrible night and was up fairly late and am aching this morning. My mother in law got lost, ran out of gas,and we had to try to help her from 10 hours away. Thanks to the New Mexico State police we got someone out there to help her. On top of that my brother was rushed to emergency surgery for an abscess and sepsis. Today’s goal is to not over eat from stress and being tired.
03/05- 354.2 My brother is doing well and should be out of the hospital tomorrow. After posting yesterday I realized my kitchen pipe was frozen, we got it thawed without any additional problems. My mother in law is still on the road, but is now deciding to stop at night rather than risk going into ditches or running out of gas. Thanks again to my supportive spouse I didn’t binge eat yesterday. Partially because he did! That’s right he stress ate a few baked goods I had set aside so that I wouldn’t.
03/06- 355.2 It took a good long look at yesterday’s diary to figure this one out. I think it’s from my pancakes and muffin dinner with a bit of sodium weight tossed in. It’s okay I know that it’s water and will be gone in a day or two.
03/07- 355 I had hoped for more, but I know I’ll see a bigger drop soon. I just need to get my water back under control.
03/08- 354.8 Still not back down, but I looked at last month and I did the same thing. My goal today will be to get through today without stress eating. The settling in process with my mother in law is being very rough.

@puttyputty At the beginning of the winter I told myself I wouldn't go if it was below freezing. But then there were a few sunny days below freezing and I started going anyway. If the sun is shining and you're walking it doesn't seem that cold. Of course I fell on ice and snow a couple of times too so I'm not always smart about it.6

03/04 - 149.4
Well, that makes no sense. I couldn't gain 3 pounds overnight even if my calories were crazy, which they were not. So I'm recording, shrugging, and moving on. Speaking of moving - it's 7F right now and I do not feel like moving myself from my warm house to the Y! Maybe I'll suck it up and go, or maybe just do something here. Anyway, I have my food planned for the day and am working on no stupid snacks. U.S. friends - if you're in the path of the current storms, be safe!
03/05 - 148
I still can't imagine why I'm this high, unless it's due to a massive time lag. Oh well. I'm pretty much back on track, so all is well.
03/06 - 147
I was sick yesterday afternoon - I think a mild reaction to a pneumonia shot I got in the morning - so I skipped dinner and, when I got up around 8 p.m. I had a lovely bowl of ice cream. But I'm back to normal (or as normal as I ever get! ) this morning. Off to the Y in a few minutes. Have a great day, everyone!
03/07 - 147.4
I spoke too soon - I'm still not feeling up to par and I slept most of the day today, which is why I'm late here. I'm also hurting again from the PMR I've been fighting since last summer, so I'm back on an anti-inllammatory diet to see if it will help. I didn't notice much difference last time, but I have to do something. So basically I'm on veggies, fish, chicken, and a little bit of fruit for a bit.
03/08 - 148
To my surprise, I got a good night's sleep even after sleeping most of the day, and I feel MUCH better today. I've also decided not to make my diet quite so restrictive, so I'll be eating as clean as possible, but including whole grains and healthy fats. There is so much conflicting info about food and inflammation - it can make your head explode! But I do have a sense of what makes me feel good and energetic and what makes me feel like crap. Sugar is the biggest offender, and I have it back under control after my crazy 4-month baking spree, which was very weird for me. So I will now limit my baking urge to whole grain, low-/no-sugar items, particularly breads that have nothing in them but the basics. Yum! And now I'm off to the Y! Have a great Friday, all, and thanks for all the hugs last night.

03/04. 191.6. Up from yesterday, but had a great family, not over the top calories-wise, with wine. Should be lower in next few days. Hoping, hoping to be consistently in the 180’s this time. Very motivated to see numbers I haven’t seen in many years.
03/05. 190.4. Weekend gain nearly gone. Tried some a bit too tight pants on yesterday, and they are now loose.
03/06. 188.8. WOW, did not expect this! But I will take it.
03/07. 187.8
03/08 187.4. Good trend downward BUT now must work had not to gain too much over weekend.weekends are my downfall!

GOALS THIS ROUND reporting on all the "yesterdays":- under calorie goal 9/10 days: 3/10 so far
- over 10K steps 9/10 days: 4/10 so far
- three strength workouts: 1/3 so far
- five cardio workouts: 2/5 so far
3/4 - 134.6 - yesterday wildly over calories, a stress-tired-emo eating day. 5K steps.
Today starting a wellness campaign at work where my goal is 10K steps a day, 5 servings of veg and fruit.
3/5 - 133.4 - yesterday under calorie goal, 12K steps including a 2 mile run with my new (canine) running buddy. Raining today, so getting steps in may be a challenge. Gonna try for 30 flights of the basement stairs at work.
3/6 - 133.4 - yesterday under calorie goal, 10K steps, nice walk at lunchtime. Did 20 flights of stairs, trying for the full 30 today.
3/7 - 132.2 - yesterday under calorie goal, 10K steps, did not manage any stairs since I got absolutely nailed to my desk by emergencies; however got a nice bodyweight strength workout in at home.
3/8 - 133.0 - yesterday a smigde over maint, 13K steps and a run with dogger. Fell running and got some rad rash on my knee... going to work in skinny jeans , which are literally all I have, is unappealing

Day/Weight/Comment
03/04--213.1 Went out for breakfast at my favorite place. Didn't drink much water the whole weekend...have to work on that today. Run day today.
03/05--212.9 There was some stress snacking yesterday evening, but I did get out yesterday and finish w6d2 and the run was great. Today is weight training. Working on getting in water today.
03/06--211.2 Had a great training session yesterday as it was the first time I was able to get through all 3 rounds of all of the exercises within my 1 hour training session. The first time I did the exercise routine about 3 weeks ago I wasn't even able to finish 2 rounds. Yoga tonight.
03/07--211.8 Yoga yesterday was great, but I'm tired this morning after being awoken by my sick dog throughout the night. Hubby is bringing dog to vet today. Weight training tonight, but considering how tired I am not sure how motivated I will be.
03/08--212.3 Even though I was tired yesterday I had one of my best workouts with my trainer last night, I increased weight on my lifts and time on my planks. The dog is feeling much better today, but what is even better is that over the past year after my vet told me my dog needed to lose about 10lbs, my dog has lost 12lbs. It's funny, her weight loss came from proper measuring of her food, reducing her snacks, and increasing her activity...exactly what I'm doing. Run day today.

03/04 177.2I was super tired yesterday and I'm feeling like TOM is about to start. I went a smidge over calories but I got in a short walk too. I have a short week at work, which is nice. Tomorrow is my day off, but my son and I both have dentist appointments. Then I work Wednesday and get Thursday, Friday and the weekend off! I'm thinking of something fun to do on those days!
03/05 177 My son and I both have dentist appointments today, and I’m considering getting some walking in. Have a great day today!
03/06 176.4 I had a pretty good day yesterday. The dentist trip wasn't too terrible and I got in some relaxing. I was within calories, did not meet my step goal but did get in a 30 minute workout.
03/07 176.8 I got in lots of steps yesterday and did a short Walk At Home workout. It was snowing so I didn't feel like walking outside. 😆 Today I’m having lunch with my Mom and sister and taking my son to see LEGO Movie 2! I totally plan to bring my own snacks!
03/08 175.6 Happy surprise! I don't know why I'm surprised though. I've been within calories. I keep thinking I'm a about to "start" any day now, so I think that's why I'm surprised. I'm going to try and get my steps in even if it is lightly snowing! I'm so ready for it to warm up! Even my husband was saying is all we've been doing is coming home from work and having dinner, then watching TV or a movie. He's right. We could probably do a game night, which would be fun. When it warms up, we can get out more!
Happy International Women's Day! 💐 You're all amazing!

03/04 …..189.2 ….. The same as yesterday (thank Goodness!) Here we go folks! Good luck on the new round! Yesterday’s stats: 2109 Calories In (out to breakfast) / 2374 Calories Out. 12,235 Total Steps & 5.18 Total Miles, all from my heavy Sunday work schedule. No IF yesterday. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 15 minutes. No planned exercise as I worked all day until 7:00 PM & then had a movie night at home with a friend. Another heavy work schedule today but I hope to fit in my dancing, at least. I gotta get the ball rolling here! Have a great week everyone!
03/05 …..188.9 ….. My Fitbit numbers were phenomenal yesterday! Today will not be so good. I had several sitting appointments including with my attorney but I am trying to get as many steps as I can in. Yesterdays stats: 1135 Calories In / 3090 Calories out. 8 Net Carbs. 24,128 Total Steps & 10.22 Miles !!! Yay me! 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. IF 16:8 . I slept for 4 hours & 18 minutes. I walked at moderate pace for 93 minutes at the school. I danced for 71 minutes at home, all in one set. Sample song “Money for Nothing (I want my MTV) by Dire Straits. Much slower paced today but glad I will be food prepping although that doesn’t offer too many steps. I love my strong moments & strong days. I hope they will become more & more frequent. This winter weight has got to go.
03/06 ….. 188.7 ….. Such a slow process at times, but well worth the weight (wait lol)! Twisted my ankle yesterday doing absolutely nothing but walking through my livingroom. Spent most of the evening with it elevated. Yesterdays Stats: 1304 Calories In / 2346 Calories Out. 8 Net Carbs. 10,128 Steps & 4.28 Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. IF 16:8 . I slept 5 hours & 13 minutes. I danced for 27 minutes. Sample song “Nobody to Blame” by Chris Stapleton. Happy hump day everyone! Good luck to all those fasting today.
03/07 …..188.9 ….. A real binge a birthday party for a friend. I have no idea how many calories or carbs but I know it was ridiculous. I’m shocked that this weight isn’t higher this morning. It may show up in a few days. Tonight is my normal Thursday night Pool & Potluck. Pray for me. Yesterday I burned 2302 Calories (but ate more I am sure). 8,488 Steps & 3.6 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Steps. No IF. Not enough water. I slept 5 hours 43 minutes. I danced a 15 minute set. Sample song “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga.
03/08 …..190.8 ….. I’m sure I am out of ketosis. I will be doing an Egg/Fat Fast starting today to kick myself & body in the behind & get back going. Thanks to Tish @tiabirdie56 for the invite to the fast, I am only too happy to join her. While she started days before me & may end today, I will use this tried & true method for at least 3 days. Pool Hall Potluck went well but the cheesy potatoes were my downfall. Best guess on Yesterdays Stats: 2010 Calories In / 2520 Calories out. 179 Net Carbs (ugg). 11,341 Total Steps & 4.8 Total Miles. IF 14:10. Slept 5 hours & 23 minutes. I danced a 40 minute set yesterday. Sample song “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker (Hootie). Have a great weekend everyone. I’m going to remain hopeful & try hard to dedicate myself to the egg/fat fast. I will be thinking of all of you too.
