Day/Weight/Comment
03/14 — 195.6 — I’m doing well with tracking and staying on my eating plan. Motivated by that vacation coming up.
03/15 — 195.3 — Staying on track. Weekend is here which means more temptation. I plan to allow for 1 cheat this weekend.
03/16 — 195.7 — Ate a little more than usual, but all WOE approved foods.

SW 147.9
Challenge GW - a loss of some sort. This is my first one so want to see what's doable in 10 days
UGW- 135-ish. Trying not to make a number goal, more so determining how I feel when I get mid -130's.
5'6' female 41 years old
03/14 - 147.9 exact same as yesterday! Wins: I logged all of my food for the first time in ages, was 50 calories over my target so not bad for the first day. Drank a lot of water. "Rest" day from the gym but walked at lunch and logged 11,257 steps.
03/15 - 147.3. Wins: Tracked my food, was about 150 calories over my target but I'm ok with that for the first few days of this challenge. Just getting back in to the tracking habit is what I'm looking for. Drank a lot of water. Took 45 min cycling class, and also logged 10,658 steps on top of that.
03/16 - 146.2. I know this is water weight since I just started this week but it’s nice to see! Fully expect fluctuations from
this point on. Wins: tracked food and was at my calorie goal. Drank a lot of water. Took 45 min bodycombat class and ended day with 13,237 steps (about 5000 of those were from the class). Got to bed early for a decent night’s sleep.

Day/Weight/Comment
03/14 – 142 – Holding steady which is a surprise due to my stress snacking lately.
03/15 – 142.5 – There’s the snacking. It could also just be some water weight, it happens all the time.
03/16 – 142 – Yesterday was such a crazy day I had no time to pack food for work or cook at home. I drove through the drive thru at McDonalds and got an egg mcmuffin w/o Canadian bacon for breakfast, a co-worker grabbed lunch at Chick-fil-a and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, then my sick husband wanted pizza for supper so I ate one piece. Although I’m surprised the sodium/carbs didn’t hit this morning, I have to say my choices and quantities are better than I would have made before I started my weight loss last year. I know I could have ordered salads, but all in all it wasn’t a terrible calorie day and I felt satisfied.

Last round got off to a difficult start but I had a woosh at the end and exceeded my goal by 2 pounds.
I'm setting my new goal at 153
This round I'm going to concentrate on staying really hydrated, getting lots of sleep, keeping up my 5 gym days and avoiding wheat/potatoes.
3/14- 154.6 starting the round with a new low! Recovering today from two heavy exercise classes back to back yesterday. I might need to pace myself as today I've been feeling quite weak.
3/15 - 153.6 (-1#) I wasn't expecting this drop and am thrilled because it puts me into the 10 stone bracket, just! Going out to dinner tonight though so I expect it'll go back up.
3/16 - 154.4 (-0.2#) yep, as expected, its back up a bit. Did an exercise class so that gave me some flexibility with calories for the meal out. I managed to stay within my calories by choosing wisely. It was an Indian restaurant so choosing something without tons of oil is tricky but I went for chicken shashlik and alcohol free beer. Going to cinema tonight so that's going to be another challenge! I won't drink again tonight as it makes it so much easier to make food choices!

You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine. - John C. MaxwellMy goal for 2019 is to get into ONEderland. Changing my life.Round 71: This round I need to stay focused on my monthly goal even though I’ll not have a scale to step back on until 3/26! The number of the scale moves up and down whether or not I'm stepping on it daily for the reminder. Reminder to self to continue tracking streak, reduce snacking on poor choices, drink more water and be active every day in some way shape or form!
Plans:
- Find workout routine that works (walk, bike, planks, yoga, swim, take advantage of retirement to be more active); target 70k steps per week
- Drink more water (target min 64 oz daily; start with 1 glass before coffee)
- Journal Food Daily (tracking with MFP since 12/28/2018)
- Daily Vitamins (Dr’s orders; need to not ignore)
- Drink less alcohol (4 AF days per week; ~16 AF days per month; limit 1-2 glasses per day)

3/14 - 234.2 - walked 2+ miles, bike 10 min, gardened, 10240 steps, 64 oz water, track, V, AF. Poor choice for lunch and the bump on the scale shows it … Popeyes 2 piece chicken dinner w/ cajun rice & biscuit.
3/15 - 233.5 - walked 1+ mile, yoga, plank, hand weights, gardened, 13164 steps, 64 oz water, track, AF. Pasta for lunch & dinner … bad choice. Really pushed myself to get the yard in shape M-Th this week!
3/16 - 232.7 - walked 1+ mile, bike 15 min, 8298 steps, 48 oz water, track, AF.

Day/Weight/Comment
03/14 198.4 up 1.2 pounds from yesterday, ate more than I should have for dinner (darn delicious French fries!😩) did make it on the treadmill, felt heavy and tired, but got the full 31 minutes in. Hoping to be down to 195 for this round.
03/15 199.2 up a little bit, but I’m ok with that because I felt stronger on the treadmill and was around goal for calories. Today will be a different story, having dinner out and it’s the weekend! 🤷♀️
03/16 200.2. Just like I figured, went overboard on eating. The husband is working this weekend so I can focus on my eating (or not eating) and getting my workouts in. I just need to make it through the weekend and no excuses!

03/14 176.4 Water weight is coming off! I’m ready to see what the next 10 days brings! I was within calories yesterday and got in a Fitness Blender upper body workout. Have a great day everyone!
03/15 176.8 Hmm...I was within calories and macros but I've got a little doms from that Fitness Blender workout and yesterday was a stressful day at work. I did get in a short walk. Today is my day off. I plan to do some resting today even though I need to buy some groceries. Not sure if I'll go for my step goal today, but I am thinking of getting a workout in!
03/16 174.8 I surprised myself and got my steps in and I got a workout! A lot of times it can feel a little hard to get 10,000 steps on my day off. But yesterday it felt easy. And I still feel like I had a relaxing day! Back to work today.

15 March: 122 lbs * While at dinner last night I was tempted by a slice of chocolate cake for dessert. After looking the calories up on the restaurant's website and seeing it would only put me over my calorie budget by 75 I figured... screw it, and went for it. I opted not to get the ice cream on the side which would have put me over another 200 and wouldn't have been worth it. But the chocolate cake was! Didn't seem to harm anything as I was still in a deficit and the scale still went down this morning.
16 March: 122.5 lbs * I ate a massive chunk of my calories last night waaaaay after 8PM (when I usually stop eating for the night), so this wasn't a shock.

Today's my 27th wedding anniversary - yay us! We're going out, of course, but I have my meal planned and it's well within bounds. I also plan to hit the gym. I figure this is as good a day as any to start over.
03/15 - 149.4
That’s ok. We had a nice celebration yesterday and I went slightly over calories, but not bad. Off to the Y in a bit to work it off.
03/16 - 148.8
I've been trying to lay off the baking, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to make Irish soda bread or scones for tomorrow. At least I'm not planning to make Guinness brownies! Have a great weekend, all!

Facts: age: 61, female, 5'3"
Highest weight: 198 (decades ago ... )
Current weight: 131.2
Lowest weight: 122 (a year ago now -- felt great!!)
Goal weight: anything under 125! I feel so close!
Starting weight last round (70): 134.8 -3.6 change! I credit poweryoga (KILLER sessions) and mindful eating MOST of the time
3/14 - 131.2 -- Had a great round last time, even with a few "bumps." That's life! I'm breaking back into the 120's this round -- there is a weekend trip to NYC next weekend, and I will need a cushion!
3/15 -- 131.2 -- no change. Weekend and St. Pat's Day ... there will be Guinness... but the good news is that while I love it, I only sip it (kind of like wine!). One will last me a whole night! But first, power yoga!
3/16 -- 130.7 -- Holy cow! I was worried -- I did a really hard yoga session yesterday (as the yoga teacher said, you can thank me later...) but we went out last night with friends -- pizza and salad (I mostly had salad, I must admit)-- and wine! -- and hubbie ordered gelato (I did, ahem, taste it....) so I had no idea what this morning would bring. And, there were birds singing this morning outside. I heard them out the bathroom window. If you don't live in the Northeast this winter, you have no idea how much this matters!!!

I am a 50 year old 5'5" woman. I am trying to get healthier to avoid diabetes and all of the problems that come from being overweight.
I have found this challenge to be both rewarding and frustrating! Looking at my weight daily has been a real eye opener to see all of the fluctuations and how a high carb day will affect me and the loss for 2-3 days after. I have been participating in this challenge since Round 40 My average loss/gain since Round 40 to 63 is a 0.5lb loss each round. This was better than I expected!

@SheilaBoneham -- just seeing those two words together -- Guinness and brownies -- makes me happy! I had no idea they could be a thing! And happy anniversary! My husband and I are coming up on 33 years... it's the best if you are lucky enough to find that person you can share your life with. We have many many friends who are on 2nd or even 3rd marriages/pairings -- and sometimes I'm jealous -- they get that "new love" again, but really, I wouldn't trade the "old love" for the world! Cheers and happy St. Pat's Day!5

03/14 234.8 Happy to have found this challenge. Finishing a vacation and feeling that I could have enjoyed it more and been more active if I were healthier and lighter. Was not able to be as physically active with my kids as I would've liked. It is no fun being the least fit person in a group.
03/15 234.6 Overnight drive last night. Energy level was really up and down today. Not caught up on sleep yet. Not well hydrated.
03/16 234.6 . Listened to a guided meditation for weight loss on Insight Timer before going to sleep last night.

@juliemargaretkim I know, right? And there's Guinness chocolate bread, too. Ahem! And yes, the long-haul loves are rich (I've had the short, didn't quite work marriage, too). I've found that a "new love" feeling seems to cycle back every so often with us as our life (the two of us) and lives (each of us) evolve. We're in a really good place now, which is even better than brownies. Maybe I'll make myself stick with greens for St. Pat's.3 -

03/14--212.9 I realized that I need to really work on my evening snacking. I don't know if it's boredom, tiredness or something else, but I want to be really conscious of why I snack so much in the evening even when I'm not hungry. What's weird is that I'm not even snacking on junk food or any specific type of food. It's going to be hard, but I think it should be interesting. Trainer tonight.
03/15--212.5 Ok, yesterday evening I tried something new to help curb my snacking. I had my dinner and then about 1/2 an hour later I realized that I was still hungry, but instead of reaching for a snack I decided to have another serving of my dinner. After the 2nd serving the hunger was gone and when about an hour later my husband asked if I wanted any of the popcorn he made I said no when I realized that I wasn't hungry. I didn't snack for the rest of the evening and in the end ate less calories than I've eaten over the prior couple of days when I was snacking. This has made me realize that I'm probably not eating enough for dinner and when I get hungry in the evening and start snacking it's hard for me to stop. So, I think from now on I'm going to eat more at dinner which will curb my hunger during the rest of the evening and hopefully I won't even start snacking. Run tonight.
03/16-212.5. Kept with the larger dinner last night and there was no snacking. Finished w7d2...8 more days to my 5k. Went to the gym this morning to do some weightlifting. Have to work on getting my water in today...it's so much harder for me on the weekend.

03/13 …..186.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
03/14 …..185.8 ….. Nice to see a drop again. Like some of the others I feel very sore from a lot of the exercise. I may decrease the amounts today and allow a little rest to these old bones & muscles. I will spend the time prep cooking for my freezer. I may skip going to the potluck/pool hall that I attend on Thursdays. We will see. Yesterdays stats: 1089 Calories In / 2795 calories out. 12 Net Carbs mostly in veggies. 21,329 Total Steps & 9.03 Total Miles. I wanted to IF 12:12 (two week metabolism reset plan) but found that I’m just too busy at my planned starting time due to my work schedule. Today I will attempt again but at a bit of a later starting time. My IF yesterday was 16:8. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I charged my Fitbit while sleeping so no exact tracking on sleep, but my best clock estimate was just over 5 hours. I walked 112 minutes inside the school and danced for 51 minutes on my make-believe dance floor in my livingroom. Sample Song “Everyday People” by Sly & the Family Stone. Good luck this round everyone. I have read all the posts in this new round up until my own & you guys have already put me in a motivated and terrific mood. I feel empowered! Thanks Everyone!
03/15 …..185.6 ….. I skipped the pool hall & potluck last night & focused on the flooding in our area. Because my home is on a slab, the danger of it getting into my house is real so I bailed water until 4:00 a.m. It also rained & that was not helping. I have a new ground drain outside but it is frozen over or buried so I could not find it. Today will also be challenging. I hope to find it before I travel this week or I will come home to a sunken ship! We still have about 8 inches of snow across the grass & large hills along the sidewalks & driveways. Sunny days are causing the meltdown. If it is not too sunny today I would like to get down to the school to walk again. Yesterday’s stats: 1054 Calories In / 2145 Calories Out. 13 Net Carbs. 16,275 Total Steps & 6.89 Miles. IF 12:12 . 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 33 minutes and was up early to start bailing the water. I am very angry right now that my husband died on me 3 years ago. I walked a short walk of 11 minutes & I danced for 33 minutes. Sample song “Faith” by George Michael. Have a great weekend everyone. And please, stop one moment & say a prayer that I find that ground drain & get it unfrozen & drinking in the water & melting snow.
03/16 …..185.6 ….. I never found the ground drain myself for the flooding. I finally thought to call the man who put it in & he guided me by phone & bam, found it! Thanks for the hugs & prayers that led me back to the plumber. Cold & gloomy again but waiting for the meltdown & ready this time. Yesterday’s stats: 1264 Calories In / 2640 Calories Out. 19 Net Carbs. 15,616 Total Steps & 6.42 Total Miles. IF 12:12. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I Slept for 5 hours & 23 minutes and am feeling very tired today. Really dragging butt. I took a moderate paced walk around my property for 13 minutes yesterday & I danced for 63 minutes in one long set. Sample song “Mockingbird” by Carly Simon & James Taylor. Such a good groove/vibe to get into! Not enough water lately. I’ve got to try harder on that front. It affects everything.

OSW: 382
RSW: 352.8
UGW: 160
03/14 - 347.8 Umm...what!?! Five pounds lost overnight? I had my husband double check the scale because he had already weighed and then I weighed myself again. Hopefully the downward trend continues, but I won’t be surprised by gains in the following days. My goals are to stay on track and continue to fight my cold.
03/15 - 347.2 So it appears that my scale wasn’t horribly wrong yesterday and the downward trend continues. I’m feeling much better this morning and I’m already at pre sick steps for the morning. I might wait until Sunday to restart workouts. I’m very cautious with chest colds due to having a history of getting bronchitis. Today is my mother in law’s birthday and I’m hopeful of staying on track.
03/16 - 353 Frustrating but not surprising. I didn’t think I had lost 5 pounds overnight and I guessed that I should have been closer to my round start weight. Anything over that is from the bread and sodium from last night’s dinner. I’m sure the next couple of days will see my weight average out between the two numbers. My nsv yesterday was getting in all the steps I wanted plus a few extra.

@kmfeig87 Trina, congrats on getting back to your WWLT goal! Mine is 126 from 1986 and I’m so close. If I could get rid of all the loose skin I would be there! LOL
**TIP To you younger “players” - lose while you’re younger and your skin is more resilient!
@MadisonMolly2017 and @deepwoodslady I saw a recipe for Greek Mac and Cheese on the MFP feed this morning. If you change the 2 oz of mac to 1 c of cauliflower, you lose 38g of carb and 175 calories per serving and then it’s LCHF. I might change the amount of cheese they used to make it cheesier but that’s me!3 -
