Round #5 for me.
Followed a 1000 calorie diet for the last 5 weeks! Lost some weight during the first 3 rounds but not as much as I expected and the last round was Disappointing for me. I gained .6 lbs .. Still hanging in there. Got some great advice from other members here and will make some changes this round.. I'm trying now the 5:2 diet, where I'm eating free for five days of the week (up to 1700 calories) and the other two days restrict calories to 500–600 per day. Hope I'll see good results this round.

Hi. My name is Trina. This is my eighteenth round. I mostly missed the last two rounds due to travel and appendicitis recovery. I'm back in the swing now, and ready to start logging my food again. I'd been really consistent on the food log since June, but didn't log while I traveled (did IF to keep calories in check), didn't bother logging while recovering from appendicitis because I had no appetite and my calories were to low to share . And then didn't log another week because my sister was here. This week I am running out of excuses, so I am getting back into the habit! Happy to say that I have met my original goal weight set in June and am just barely in the normal BMI range. I was not at all convinced I could do it when I started and expected it to take much longer! I have reset my goal weight to 135, to be more solidly in normal BMI, and am trying to remind myself that I should expect those last 10 pounds to be slow... Hope everyone has a great round!

03/14 142.5 Today was apparently a whoosh day, and yesterday was high. Would love to still be here (or even 142) in 10 days!
03/15 141.5 Surprised, but weighed a couple of times. My weight always bumps around! Skipped the gym today and just went for a walk. My abs are not quite back up to speed and I felt like I should probably give them a break. As another note. Today is an 11 year low weight. I haven't weighed this since I achieved weight watchers lifetime status in March, 2008. I think it took me 9 months to lose from 150 down to 142 and I did not manage to stick at that weight at all. This time it probably only took a month and a half and I feel much healthier, better, stronger (and not nearly as hungry!

03/14 198.4 up 1.2 pounds from yesterday, ate more than I should have for dinner (darn delicious French fries!😩) did make it on the treadmill, felt heavy and tired, but got the full 31 minutes in. Hoping to be down to 195 for this round.
03/15 199.2 up a little bit, but I’m ok with that because I felt stronger on the treadmill and was around goal for calories. Today will be a different story, having dinner out and it’s the weekend! 🤷♀️

3/14 - 171.2 - 20g carbs, 15g net carbs. Carbs were: steamables golden potatoes (6.5gcarb), salad, deli smoked turkey, manzanilla olives, cucumber ranch dressing, au jus sauce. Okay, my weight has settled here for today. Probably that tiny potato 😂 Dinner was 2 hours later than I planned, due to this HUGE chuck roast I was cooking. It took 2+ hrs in the pressure cooker! with a couple of stops and starts to check it during the process. Should have put the 2nd weight on the pot.
3/15 - 172.2 - 32g carbs, 26g net carbs. Carbs were: salad, olives, dill pickle, grape tomatoes, jalapenos, peanut butter, almonds, walnuts, deli smoked turkey. A little fluid retention..... from exercise, not carbs! Knee is behaving, so back to strengthing quads and hams. Taking it low and slow, but consistently. I'm dealing with old shoulder injuries too, so must not be impatient with myself trying to do sets, reps and long workouts like I used to do.

I am SO happy to hear that re: almonds/walnuts!
For pasta, try it just plain sometime. No taste. That’s how I got off it. Why waste the calories in pasta that has no taste? The sauces are salty & often fatty. We can find tastier fare that actually IS good for our bodies!6 -
On a 2 week plateau at the moment. Not bothered yet, I had a big drop a couple weeks ago (start of the plateau) so I saw the slow down coming. Would love to be down a couple lbs by the end of the 10 days a but under 185 would be satisfying.
My current mini-goal is no sweets so I'll comment on whether I've met that hoal for the day. It's amazing how much more volume you can eat when you cut calorie dense sweets.

03/14 96.9 Well that's a nice drop, no running etc at the moment as I am suffering with a viral infection. Sinuses are on fire and I feel like I'm going to cough up a lung soon! On the plus side I have zero appetite and it just tastes like cardboard when I eat...

03/14 - 222.2 - Yesterday my stats were 14,600steps, 3200cals out, 600cals in. I only need about 7000-8000steps today to meet my weekly target of 70,000 so that's what I will be aiming for. My goal calorie wise is to stay under 1700cals today. Have a great day all X

I want to stay more committed to my eating goals over the weekend, I am not going to fuss about steps but calories need to be 2000 or lower on both days X
03/16 - 222.0 - 18,500 steps, 3600cals out, 880cals in. I was hoping to atleast be in the 221.xx range today, Owel even more incentive to eat well today so I'm not then struggling with excess water. Today's goals are just to stay under 2000cals, I only need another 3500steps today so I can complete my week on 80,000steps but I will easily achieve that so not much point setting it as a goal. 03/14 - 79,3 kg - starting off strong but this might be because my stomach was upset and I *TMI* had to run to the bathroom multiple times last night we'll see what tomorrow says! Also because I've been under 80kg for 3 days now I'm gonna say I succeeded at my first mini goal!
03/15 - 78,9 kg - okay I guess yesterday was still semi-representative! happy about this. also stopped myself from binging yesterday night so that's good!
03/16 - 78,9 kg - didn't expect a drop from yesterday because I already had been dropping quite a lot quite fast the past couple of days. tonight will be difficult because i'm eating out fast food with some friends, so reminder to myself: don't beat yourself up if there's a gain tomorrow morning haha.

03/15 133.2 – only just over 2 ½ miles walked yesterday and all gained around the soft play area that I went to with my 2 daughters & their babies, we had lunch & indulged in carrot cake too – but that was my only indiscretion and was within my calorie intake goal for the day.

03/15 11st 1.6lb - I have no idea what happened here. I went to a cafe with a friend yesterday and while she had lunch I just had a soft drink. In the evening I went where there were cakes which I didn't have. I weighed all of my food and drink as always - I only had 1100 calories (100 under what I should have) although on 1200 I usually just maintain. But putting on almost 1 and a half pounds from yesterday has totally stumped me.

I don’t make a goal to lose here; I see how much I can lose within the 10 days. I do have goals and am on number 3. I don’t count this as completed until 210 or under.
My Goal 3 is to be 210 for March 29th – I will accomplish this ahead of time. I have other goals but have to reevaluate them, due to the weight already loss.
