    @Avidkeo - I agree with @ContraryMaryMary. I am sure he was caught off guard and didn't want to show an emotional response of any kind. When I told my boss I was retiring her response was 'oh that's great!'. I was sure she would ask me to consider staying as I was one of only 2 women technical sales people. I had lots of the sales people that I supported ask me to reconsider but not my boss. She was supportive of my decision and that was that.

    ERF.

    A LATE JUNE trail race... I must be nuts....

    https://www.hellhathnohurry.org

    But strongly considering the 30k or 50k distance...

    Gotta admit I looked at that one, too, as I'll be in the area this summer. I really shouldn't, though. My quad keeps threatening me and I probably need to back off after the marathon (provided it doesn't get worse over the next couple weeks).

    @amymoreorless, @midwesterner85, @mbaker566, @zeesparrow and anyone I missed who raced this weekend, GREAT JOB! Sounds like some tough races, and you did it!

    @amymoreorless Sounds like a lovely race! Great job!

    @midwesterner85 Congrats on finishing despite the whole gallbladder affair - you’ve been through a lot recently!

    @mbaker566 I’m so glad you didn’t miss your race because of an illness. You look amazing, and you are officially hardcore getting out there and finishing despite being sick.

    @zeesparrow Yay first 10k!

    I did try strava, but it requires more than I have presently...as in GPS, smart phone, apps and such. I just have a fitbit, but nothing else to get GPS with. I tried to pair my fitbit with it, but without all the high powered tech stuff...it ain't happenin'!
    I assume your fitbit has GPS (seeing as you measure runs to 100ths of a mile) so you should be able to extract the GPS from your fitbit and manually upload it to Strava (if linking accounts doesn't work). When you plug the fitbit in to your computer and it uploads everything, go to your dashboard and extract the file (see this article for more details). Once you have that TCX file, you can manually import to Strava and it'll appear.

    Treadmill run before circuit training this morning - actually made it to the gym early enough to get over 3 miles in. Circuit training was all legs and core today. Not quite what I was expecting. It was exhausting.

    Going to get packed and go to bed early if I can. Tomorrow will be a long travel day and hopefully getting some work done along the way.

    You definitely should do it. I hear from people that have run it that it is very well run and enough aid stations that you can get way with just carrying a water bottle instead of a full pack. Right now there is a strong likely hood that my wife and I will be there.
