33th Round for me: Female 66, height 5β
Back again! Had a great trip though came back last Thursday with a cold and absolutely exhausted. Stepped on the scale Friday and it said 157.8!! That was partly the result of eating very little when I was driving because my stomach was off but still a very encouraging number. Goals this round β stay in the 150βs and hopefully end with 157something, keep daily movement up.
I think the daily movement was what caused my loss while away. Meals were not low cal., although not too bad and almost no desserts, but was on my feet much, much more than at home. Lots of spring yard work to do so hoping that will do the trick.Round 39 (1st for me) β SW 163, -.2Day/Weight/Comment

04/23 β 159.4 β Still a bit stuffy in the head and coughing but feeling better. Not healthy enough for a gym workout but planning to get out in the sunshine and clean off perennial beds. One of my favorite spring jobs β seeing all the new growth and thinking of what I can plant.
04/24 β 159.4 β Feel like dragging around / sleeping all day because of the end of this cold and trip tiredness. However, I know how that will end β eating all the wrong things and feeling down at the end of the day because Iβm still looking at all the stuff that needs to be done. Instead Iβm going outside in the sun and clear off perennial beds. Not a high activity job but still getting something done.

Back for another round! Last round I ended with a slight gain, but I had a 5 day vacation, Easter weekend, and a family death that all happened in that round. Lots of eating out, stress, and family to deal with. So I was pretty happy that I was only up a couple of pounds and that I was able to pretty much maintain through all of that. I usually don't set goals for myself during these rounds, I just try and do my best and see what I can accomplish, but I will be setting 2 this round. I want to see a 146 something and I do not want to see a 150 anything on the scale the entire time. Good luck everyone!

04/23 - 149.4 nice drop of water weight to start the round. Water and food were both good all day and I am already on track for today. Would love to see a new low this week, so working hard and trying to stay in a deficit most of the week. At least Mon-Fri.
04/24 - 148.1 Back to where I was before I left on vacation and my Easter weekend took over. This was my lowest weight hit in round 73, so hoping to beat that in the next couple of days. I am also really close to hitting my next milestone on my happy scale app. Water and food are set for today and on track so far!
04/25 - 148.1 same as yesterday so I will take it. I had a beer and 3 shots last night with dinner, but ate light all day. I don't have a problem stress eating as much as I do with stress drinking. This month has just been so stressful all the way around. Yesterday my Senior and Junior in high school found out 1 of their friends (17 years old) committed suicide. That was after we found out my middle schooler (my autistic child) got into a fight at school. He had been doing so well and making really great progress, it just really hit me as a step back. So while cooking and eating dinner my husband and I had a couple of drinks. I had been doing so good, but knowing we have to go to this funeral on Saturday for my husbands grandma and now all of this I needed a drink, lol! Back on the wagon today. Meals are prepped, water is next to me, and I will not have any alcohol tonight.
04/26 - 147.6 I hit another milestone on my happy scale app today! Finally moving in the right direction after stalling for so many weeks. The weekend is here though and that is my downfall, so hoping I can stay on track.

Meal planned, shopped, worked out, no-mayo tuna salad for dinner and meal prepped. Good day, but should have taken the pups for a walk instead of spending the last 40 minutes on the couch. Awesome plan for today and will get in some steps in addition to working out my arms. No couch time tonight!

Did good on portion control with my skinnytaste bolognese sauce with penne (pasta is my FAVORITE). But at my little meeting last night had an extra glass of wine and 5 hershey kisses. Did NOT come home and have another as I usually would so celebrating the small successes! I will take the over half pound loss joyously!

Had lovely lunch for Admin Pro day. Best part? Walked in the sunshine to get there and back. Steps, Baby! But, boss encouraged a frosty beverage along with lunch. Odd thing is I was craving junk all the rest of the night and DID NOT want to work out. But guess what? I ate a handful of almonds and another skinnytaste muffin, got a big glass of water and after that had settled... I worked out. Was within 100 cals of daily goal with all that so just took a shower and slipped into bed. Better there than in the kitchen eating crap. It paid off because the scale is down almost another 2 lbs. My little hangover belly is almost gone when I stand up straight. Love those non-scale wins!

Leftover filet taco for lunch. Made an AWESOME pork tenderloin last night for dinner with half cup garlic mashed taters and a lovely arugula strawberry feta salad. So so so satisfying. Even had a couple glasses of wine and stayed within calorie range. Took the pups out. Measured myself this morning from 4/9 and down an inch in waist and hips, half inch breast and calf and a quarter on neck. Stupid thighs won't budge but we are getting there.

04/23 - 140.3 (-.6lbs) nothing new been fluctuating here. Ready for some big losses. π but on the bright side it is a loss.
04/24 - 141.1 (+.8lbs) extremely bloated today. Had stomach issues all night and just now barely feeling a little better but still bloated. Hopefully it clears up by tomorrowβs weigh in.
04/25 - 140.1 (-1lb) π this is just funny at this point. I canβt seem to find 130s for the life of me. If there are any suggestions on how to get over a plateau please let me know. π
04/26 139 (-1.1lb) there it is, maybe the bloat finally went away and the actual weight it starting to show. I expected to be around this or a little less at this point but Iβm happy to finally see it drop. 140.whatever was haunting me.

@quiltingjaine : I know! But I usually go with my weekly weigh in on Friday's, that's where the 1.4 comes from. I always gain over the weekend and by Wednesday I lose the weekend weight. Thursday and Friday are my new lows. Not sure if that makes sense. It can be a bit discouraging, but I'm on my diet break

4/23--211.4 So much bloating and feeling heavy from snacking the night before. Getting water in today. Worked out with trainer today.
4/24--210.0 There goes some of the bloat. Running tonight.
4/25--210.7 Ran 2 miles yesterday and worked out with trainer tonight. I've noticed that I'm more bloated/heavy the last few days and when I look back at my diet I see that I've been eating some of the foods that I'm sensitive to...it's just a little here and a little there, but I think it's adding up. So today I got back to my regular eating...I even went out for lunch and ordered a salad that fits into my food sensitivity issues.
4/26--210.0 Did not get enough sleep last night. Tonight is my last dance class with hubby, other than that I am going to relax and get to bed at a decent time...rest is so important in muscle recovery/weight loss

04/23 β 202.8 β Gorgeous day! 60 minute walk on a moderately challenging trail, but gardening was limited to 10 minutes of deadheading daffodils before relaxing in the sun. Squeezed in some grocery shopping after the walk and got the dishes done. Not enough sleep last night, so my energy is flagging. Got my water in though. π
04/24 β 201.6 β Another beautiful day β blue skies, sunshine, and the lilacs are blooming! Too pretty to stay indoors, so I took the dog for a long walk in the park (75 min, paved trail). Enjoying the last of the daffodils while I deadhead like crazy. Perennials are coming in, but so are the weeds! Rain moves in Thursday evening, so Iβll double down on chores then. Extra water! Good day π
04/25 β 201.2 β Walking this morning (45 min before work). Trash goes down tonight, so Iβd better get that fridge cleaned! (Got part of this done β threw out the stinky stuff. Then did recycling, composting, and some general straightening for another half hour.) Super salty dinner, so lots of extra water!
04/26 β 201.2 β A break in the rain this morning, so I managed to squeeze in a 65-minute walk and then lunch out with my daughter. The sky opened up 5 minutes after I walked back in the door! Squeezing in an hour of power-cleaning so I can concentrate on the neglected garden this weekend.

04/24 - 203.6. Had a good day yesterday, calories, exercise both in check. Thought I would have a better scale response, but down is good.
04/25 - 203.2. Admin professionals day lunch, I ate pretty carefully, but it was high calorie - couldn't resist the chocolate dessert. Balanced OK with a low cal dinner and evening walk. Trying to plan my weekend a little more carefully - weekends are my "trigger".
04/26 - 202.9. Back down, total so far this round is down .9. I would love to be down 1.5 by Monday, because that is my weekly weigh in day. I know people say don't focus on a number, but right now my weight is so high that is all I can see. Maybe when I hit my 10% goal I will be able to focus on fitness goals, but right now, the number is important to me. I'm not sad or anything, just really want to lose weight the right way, so that I can sustain the healthy lifestyle. These are my meandering thoughts on a sunny and windy Friday afternoon.

@quiltingjaine I've heard you mention that before & it's a great idea. However, my fitbit won't fit around my ankle. I'll have to think of another way. When shopping in multiple stores for 5 or 6 hours, I know those steps add up! Any & all ideas would be great!
Try fastening it to the belt loop on your trousers - I have to do that when pushing my baby grandson in his stroller otherwise the steps aren't counted !!3 -

I keep a photo' of me at my heaviest on the 'fridge, I look 9 months pregnant, but my youngest at that time was 17!! It's good inspiration for wanting to not put back on all the weight I have lost !!!7 -

Goal: Last round was sad. I was eating what I would expect to be maitenence (since Easter and other events) with making sensible choices while eating out, and upping my exercise, to gain a whopping 2kg (I think. Didn't weigh the last two days). If this wasn't bloat from alcohol I will be very disappointed.
04/23-96.0 kg and 16,200 steps. This started well with dropping 1.3 kg compared to the bloat of last week. Lets hope it remains and I can finally see some progress!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Stressful day at work with loads of meetings and little time to eat. I didn't go for a run because I was expecting the cats earlier. Instead, I started building one of the Ikea cupboards while waiting, they were about 2 hours late. Food was ok, but late dinner and a couple of snacks afterwards while watching the cats explore.

What a day, I'm exhausted! I worked from home to be here when the movers arrive, they didn't show until 7.30pm!
Did have a productive day, despite stopping frequently for some cat cuddles. Went for a run after work and finished building that kitchen cupboard and unpacked a few things. More of that tomorrow.
Food was a mixed bag, within cals including wine, but also spent too much on snacks.
