SueBDew - What a cutie! I do miss having a dog, but until the fencing's done, there's just no way, and that's a year away, at best. You'll enjoy having a pup so much!

Terri - I'm sorry you've had another tumble! And sorry you had the first, as well. I think 7558 average is awesome, personally. Well done on hitting your goals.

    Machka
    - Well done on the weight loss, with all you've got going! Enjoy your long weekend...

    Kate
    - Sympathy on the husband's inability to understand that keeping our environment clean of the junk food helps us. My first husband never understood that, ever.

    Tracey
    - sorry about the fires, and very sorry you didn't get the job. You know you did your utmost - and his "experienced" person may not work out... one never knows. One piece I read lately said "hire the person who fits your company culture, not necessarily the person who fits the job requirements," in order to get the right person in the job. They could end up coming back to you with an offer down the road.

    Heather
    - Pip is on vacation, but I could probably find a boot somewhere!

Rita - Well done, huzzah, hurray, for size 12! So pleased for you, and to see you busy and happy and pleased with yourself. You should be, you've done amazing things.

It's Friday, and I'm glad. It's not supposed to rain for until at least late Saturday, early Sunday, and I'm happy about that, too. One grant out yesterday, still working on the one that's got me over a barrel, but hope to at least get a draft done today. Easier to edit something down than to create it... See you on the June thread!

    Love y'all,

My daughter has been receiving items from Amazon in her name at her address. The first item was a usb cord, then a pack of wart remover pads, yesterday was a pair of shoes (expensive and in her size) and more wart remover pads. She has checked her credit card and the purchases are not on there. I told her if this continues she should go to the police and at least report it. It's creepy behaviour to me.

We continually get things from a previous resident of our place. That person must have been into crafts because we get things like little boxes of beads and so on.

We've tried returning them to the post office, and sometimes they take them, but then a few months later something else turns up

I found out yesterday that I did not get the job. He was very happy with my interview and impressed with how much I learned in such a short time, but he really wants the experience so that the person could hit the ground running. I'm not really upset by it, I knew it was a long shot at best. 37 days to the wedding and less than 30 now before my MIL arrives. I'll apply for anything that I see that really catches my eye, but mostly I'm just concentrating on the wedding and activities surrounding it for now.

We are in a haze of smoke from the wildfires burning far North of our city. I hope the communities that are evacuated get some relief soon. August last year we couldn't go outside at all due to smoke, I hope that isn't going to be the case all summer this year.

I need to get off here and do some crafting, I'll post a couple of pictures later.
    Tracey in Edmonton

Sorry to hear about the job. :(

And the fires. :( I lived in the Grande Prairie area many years ago for 11 years and still have friends up there who have been posting photos of their air quality on FB.

Lisa - thank you for this link! Very encouraging to those of us who are unable to reach the 10000 step "goal".

Between bad weather and my hurting foot my steps really fell off over the winter. I've reset my Fitbit goals to 6000 and make that most days, some days go over. And some days fall short but hopefully am getting increased activity - pruning trees, weeding, carrying dirt or water, etc. So am getting a bit of cardio there.

The days I go over - normally those are my shopping days. I try to go from one end of Walmart to the other if I have the time and it's not too crowded - same thing with any store I'm in. Amazing how quickly steps add up there.

I think it was Barbie who says "seek every opportunity to be active". B) That has stuck in my mind and gotten me out of my chair on a regular basis, lol.

Have a great last day of May, ladies!

My cake is in the oven. o:) The batter in the bowl was delicious. >:)

Don’t know if they are coming for "teaforlunch" or just afternoon tea. I will text my son once he has got home on Saturday. I know he is taking Max to a film on Sunday morning.

Yes, Lisa, I need to get a grip. Much too much pleasure and leisure. (That rhymes in an English accent! )
I'm thinking of picking up my kettlebell today, that I have only been using as a sitting room doorstop. I gave it up because my knee didn't like it, but I might try it again.

    Feeling dozy.

Checking in! Doing ok, I tried to catch up from page 45! Gave up.

    I love all the pictures!

It’s sunny today and I’m glad the rain stopped although major flooding is happening along the Arkansas River right now. A levee in Dardinelle breached and people are evacuating their homes. They news said 11.5 billion gallons of water is flowing thru Little Rock per hour!

A friend of ours from church had kidney transplant yesterday. He’s doing well, but will have to stay in Dallas for the next 2 months close to his doctors. His wife had a lung transplant there a couple of years ago. Baylor has a wonderful transplant center there.

Other than that not much happening here! We got a new sofa with chaise for the living room and bed set for the back bedroom for grandkids/guests. That was a lot of work moving furniture and cleaning house! Dust behind stuff!! Yuk!

    Have a great day!

Lanette: Happy May 31! We have been working on helping our dog with pain management for his sore hip. He has pain pills from the vet, but we found a good local pet store that sells CBD oil. It is amazing how quickly it eased his hip pain. I am so grateful that you’ve shared the CBD information here.

Machka: Congrats on finishing your main assignment and your weight loss. WTG!!! I wonder whether RTW-zilla got a clear picture and has at least the tiniest clue what a jerk she has been.

Karen in VA: Happy Friday backatcha!

Heather: I’m up a bit, too. My knee is complaining and I need to get back on track. I’m within the goals set for me by MFP, but when the knee hurts I need to get weight off of it. :embarassed:

Newbies, this is the last day of the month. Barbie will start a new thread for June. Watch for her link later in the day.
