06/02 – 144.5 – No surprise, we had family over that we hadn't seen in several months and they wanted Chinese and pizza. What the grandson wants, the grandson gets and I couldn’t pass it up. I'll have to work extra hard this week to make up for the extra calories.
06/03 – 144 – I ate much better today, but I have Monday’s off work during the summer and I can’t seem to get my water in when I’m home. Hopefully it doesn’t go back up tomorrow.
06/04 – 143 – Nice to see after a long weekend!
06/05 – 143 – I’m glad to see there was not a bounce this morning. Now to try to get down another half pound or so before another party we’re having on Saturday.

6/2: 139.5 #
6/3: 139 # I'm sequestered in a week long problem solving group at work. They have bagels in the morning and sugary snacks for the afternoon of course. I'm glad to say that I was able to resist them both today with the luck of planning and bringing my own healthy foods in. The cookies were right in front of me during the wrap up - yikes! Let's see how this week goes.
6/4: 139.5 #

Round 8! I'm looking forward to walking outside more this round. My goals are to track at least 10,000 steps a day, drink at least 45 oz of water (not including non-calorie drinks like coffee or Coke Zero), and weighing in one pound less than I did at the beginning of the challenge.

Day/Weight/Comment
06/02 182.0 lb I tracked 14,065 steps and had 20 oz of water. Dinner was a lovely grilled steak at my fiance's parent's house. We're heading to my parents for the afternoon and then we'll take the dog for a walk and probably get take out for dinner.
06/03 183.2 lb Lazy day yesterday. I tracked 4,595 steps and didn't drink any actual water. I had one glass of wine, three beers, and a fried fish sandwich for dinner. Today, I'm getting back on track. I have my meals planned through dinner, I have a full water bottle, and I'm exercising at home between work and the last band boosters meeting of the year.
06/04 183.2 lb 10,751 steps were tracked and I had about 50 oz of water. I'm going to the gym this afternoon and then I have wind ensemble rehearsal from 7:00-9:00. We're having baked eggplant parm for dinner, so I'll keep my snacking to a minimum to be able to enjoy a nice serving. The weather has been lovely to walk in! I have a sorta NSV to report. Growing up, we always had overweight pets because we loved to give them treats. At my most recent vet check-up with my dog, the vet noted that she is a perfect weight and had lost some weight since our last visit. She's been my walking buddy for the last few months and I think all that exercise has positively impacted her!
06/05 182.6 lb 13,420 steps were tracked and I had 44 oz of water. I burned 300 calories on the elliptical at the gym and came in under calorie goals. I'll be doing an exercise dvd between work and pub trivia tonight and I'll be having leftover eggplant parm instead of bar food for dinner.

SW - 171.1 lbs
UGW - 125 lbs
06/02 - 167.0 lbs - feeling super bloated and painful but I’m about to force a healthy breakfast and then head off to work. When I weighed myself last night I was 171.1 lbs so I’m happy to see that wasn’t my real weight, although it’s still higher than I’d like.
06/03 - 166.8 lbs ( -0.2 lbs ) - happy to see the number go down, even in the tiniest amount. It’s now my TOM and last week was a super bad time for me, so I’m hoping if I stay on track this week, next week will bring me good things.
06/04 - DNW - had a super busy morning and forgot to weigh and didn’t want to weigh after I had eaten lunch, but I believe it would have stayed relatively the same.
06/05 - 164.5 lbs ( -2.3 lbs ) - though I know this is likely not a real loss, it’s still surprising to see considering my TOM bloat and the fact I had a few drinks last night.

6/4 176.2elliptical 30 min under calories the last 2 days must be holding water
6/5 -175.4 Yay finally a lower number lol! I was thinking this keeps going up up up with the higher protein and the weigh lifting . I know I’m doing the right thing just wasn’t showing yet

Day/Weight/Comment
06/02 – 244.6 lbs. – recouping from celebrating over the weekend. I laid around most of the day with my legs elevated.
06/03 – 243.9 lbs. – (Down Down Down) The plan for today is C25K Week 6 Day 2. I brought my lunch and I will make sure I get 6 cups of water in today. Then, I will complete 25 Burpees, 45 Squats, 45 Crunches and 35 Plank Jacks.
06/04 – 242.3 lbs. – (YAAASSS! New LOW!) And the celebration calories have been officially worked/burned off. I plan to do a long walk today. Then, I’m thinking about doing the Brittne Babe workout. I believe I have her volume 7. For lunch, I’m having a salad with chicken. Keep up the great work everyone.
06/05 – 242.6 lbs. – Ok well, I’m extremely sore today. So, I’m going to blame it on that. I need to make sure I get my water intake in today. Today is C25K W6 D3 (22 min jog). I can do it. I didn’t bring lunch so, I’ll have to find a good salad.

We had a good time at Arab Fest yesterday - great food, and I ate what I wanted, but other than breakfast that was it for the day - falafel, hummus, pita, stuffed grape leaves, beautiful saffron rice, za’atar chips, baklava. Yum! I also had a lovely henna design put on my hand (see pic - sorry it’s so big) and enjoyed talking to the artist, an Afghan teacher now living in Indianapolis. Another calorie challenge coming up today with our UU picnic pitch-in, but I’ll try to behave. I have lots of walking plans for the week! Have a lovely Sunday, all!
6/3 - 161
OK, yuch but not unexpected after a weekend of indulgences. Some is water - I feel a little bloated and know I ate more salt than normal. I'm still aiming for my goal by the end of the round. It's a gorgeous day so I'm planning at least one long walk, plus garden work. Enjoy!
6/4 - 160.2
We went to Fazzoli's for lunch yesterday - not my choice - but other than indulging in a bread stick, I kept calories within bounds, and definitely within for the rest of the day. DH can eat pasta 'til the cows come home and never gain an ounce - no fair! It's raining now, but supposed to clear up, so I'm looking forward to a long walk later. If not, I'll hit the Y.
6/5 - 159.6
My calories were a little over my goal yesterday, but I worked several hours in the garden and dug out under the gait and laid pavers, so that burned a few. The forecast is for scattered T-storms all day, but I'll try to squeeze a walk in. We have a couple of guys coming tomorrow to dig out my new big flower beds -- can't wait to get started planting those! Happy hump day, all!

6/2: 193.4 (A slight gain which is expected on the weekend. I had a graduation party I went to last night so I ate a controlled amount that I preplanned. No workout yesterday as well. I really want to make my goal this round so I can get a gym membership!)
6/3: 192.8 (I had a very tough time during my 5K training last night. Part of my running is uphill since the areas around my house are very hilly and around my entire town. 3 of the minutes I am panting for breath but getting more and more used to it. I still was able to do 6 minutes of continuous jogging which is a very huge success. Last night I made potato corn chowder for dinner.)
6/4: 191.2 (It's on the way down! I am at my last Friday weigh in and I'm hoping to finally see the 190's tomorrow? Maybe? Crossing my fingers! I made poblano chicken with rice last night and I did a 30 minute TurboFire workout.)
6/5: 190.4 (Finally the 190's!!! I've been waiting for like a month for this and now it's here and I was so close to making my goal! I did a 5K training workout yesterday. The plan I have has me doing a recovery week so I had to run 3 minutes instead of 6 yesterday, which was super easy. I made chicken noodle soup and garlic bread last night. Yum!)

6/2 169.6 Very happy to see this. Didn’t walk yesterday but worked in the yard for two hours. More dang branches. It's supposed that to be beautiful. My goal is more yard work and maybe a walk.
6/3 169.2 Did a little yard work and walked for three very slow but lovely miles. Kept my calories in check and drank a lot of water. I'm working from home today and will get in a little yard work this morning. Walking will be determined by when the rain starts.
6/4 170.1 Not too worried about this. I knew I wasn't completely done with the 17Xs but I hope to be by the end of this round. This was the plateau from hell. I was 17X for approximately 160 days. The same weight I stalled at when I lost weight before. My body apparently really likes to weigh 17X. It's over now and I can move on. I worked in my yard for 4 hours yesterday. Then an old friend came over and we went to a nice dinner. I was fairly good in that I had no dessert and I had a salad for dinner but this place has the best nachos I've ever had in my life. I have posted the pic so you understand. They are pot roast nachos and they are heaven. I only had one chip but my estimation is over 500 calories for it. I ate back 4 hours of work plus an extra 81 calories.
6/5 170.1 Getting less ok with the 170 anything. I was good on calories, walked 2 miles, and drank a ton of water. Why is it the same? Maybe leftover sodium from Monday's dinner?8 -

What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
6/1 124.5
6/2 125.0 No movement yesterday and not nearly enough water because I never left the house!
6/3 124.5 Yesterday champagne brunch at 1pm. OMAD Finally warm enough to go to water fitness today! Yay!! Then gym this afternoon with Amy.
6/4 123.5 I went to water “aerobics” and mentioned later to DH that I thought it was not properly named as my average heart rate was 95. Somewhat disappointed to see that that 45 minutes plus walking to and from the pool counted for NO active minutes! Glad I met Amy at the gym in the afternoon even though it was short. My right leg is bothering me again a little. Again OMAD, sunflower seeds in the evening.

Day/Weight/Comment
6/2 148, traveling yesterday in a car so ate within calories. but ate McDonald’s for lunch and pizza for dinner so salt was more than usual. I tweaked my neck sleeping so hopefully will feel better in the afternoon to go workout
6/3 147.5, today will be busy, but everything is prepped so should be a good day
6/4 147.6, going to mini golf after work with some colleagues. I managed to get a strength and conditioning class and 60 minutes on elliptical so hoping to be closer to my end weight of round 78 by the end of the week.
6/5 147.2, managed to be good with diet until dinner last night. Going to the opera tonight and having dinner nearby (already picked out what I’m eating). Not as sore as I usually am after a strength class so probably can fit in a 60 minute elliptical machine workout

6/2--207.0 It was actually weird this morning to get up and not go to the gym, I usually go today and workout on my own but since my hip is hurt my my trainer does not want me to work out by myself...I can't wait to go to PT on Tuesday and hopefully get some answers. I did go out for a short walk this morning and will go out again today, but I still need to be careful. Going to work at getting water in today.
6/3--206.7 Don't know if this weight will stick. Didn't drink much water today, I'm just hoping to hold steady with my weight until I figure out what is going on with my hip.
6/4--206.7
6/5--206.5 Went to PT yesterday. The PT said that my hip is not going to get any worse and a lot of the pain I am feeling is because I am hypersensitive to the injury since this is my first injury ever. I worked out with my trainer and included the PT exercises and my hip is feeling better already. But most importantly the worry that there's something more to my hip pain and that I may not be able to ever run/hike/bike again is now gone.

06/01 152 ~ (Steps 17,972) - Again, I going to try to keep focus, ugh. This last couple of months life has brought unexpected things, with my husbands godmother passing away. On the bright side a few weeks ago we went to go pick up Pete the Pug, our new addition to our family.
Day 1 no late night snacking and under carb goal ✅
06/02 151.7 ~ (Steps 15,923) ~ Yesterday was a successful day, I’m hoping this trend will continue, I can do this, I WILL do this. I would love to loss a few pounds before the end of September, my son is getting married!
Day 2 no late night snacking and under carb goal ✅
06/03 150.7 ~ (Steps 14,075) ~ We spent the day taking my 8 year old grandson to lunch, he picked Red Robin, yay! They got to met Pete, way toooo cute! I was able to stay focus with my diet, woot hoot.
Day 3 no late night snacking and under carb goal ✅
06/04 150 ~ (Steps 17,765) ~ We spent most of the morning running around plus had lunch out afterwards. I’ve managed to make healthy food choices, plus an evening walk.
Day 4 no late night snacking and under carb goal ✅
06/05 150.5 ~ (Steps 13,179) ~ Yesterday, I had some morning errands, then Pete had an appointment at the vet, for his second round of shot. He’s 4 points 13 oz of cuteness, lol. I think the scale is reflecting, my late dinner unfortunately. I’m okay it it though since late night snacking wasn’t the factor, woot hoot.
Day 5 no late night snacking and under carb goal ✅

06/05 82.2 Did not walk yesterday and pigged out a little with crisps and carbs! Felt like crap today. Oh well - one day in awhile isnt going to hurt. Today was good. Got a walk in. Kept calories under 1500. Let's see how tomorrow's weigh in is.
Btw, does anyone get body pain when taking a multivitamin?

Day/Weight/Comment
06/01 …..195.6 ….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
06/02 …..195.6 ….. First weigh-in after travel. Using this as my Round 78 ending weight & Round 79 starting weight. It is slightly up from prior weigh-in. Lots of work to do today to catch up after being gone. Sundays are always busy at the cabins after most guests leave. I slept very well last night and am ready for the day. I will be overworked today & exhausted later, but I am committed to cooking myself a good meal to use up some acceptable veggies before they go bad. Feeling strong today & glad to be home! All is well with my family.
06/03 …..194.8 ….. Nice drop after lots of activity. I’m glad to see the travel hasn’t shown up badly. Sometimes it takes a few days for things to show on the scale so I’m still nervous but staying committed & strong. Yesterdays stats: 1178 Calories In / 3386 Calories Out. 24 Net Carbs. 21,288 Total Steps & 9.04 Total Miles. IF 20:4. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 22 minutes. I took a 23 minute walk before starting my busy work day. I was really hungry late night after a strenuous day but found that some walnuts & almonds did the trick. Staying on course today is the plan.
06/04 …..194.8 ….. Yesterday was a paperwork day. Out to lunch. I ate potato skins. I did not finish them but it still put me over on my carbs. The filling was low carb, the potato…..not so much. Nice keto dinner later from my prepped meals. I did a small walk & a dance set to help burn up the extra carbs & calories. Yesterdays stats: 1587 Calories In / 2427 Calories Out. 64 Net Carbs. 11,156 Total Steps & 4.73 Total Miles. IF 16:8 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 17 minutes. I danced in a very tight hallway spot since my kitchen is not yet done & the livingroom is full of kitchen boxes. I decided I was going to fit in a dance session, not out of guilt & shame, but out of necessity. It was a better mindset. I ate the potato skins, the bill came in & I paid it with a 44 minute dance set. I always pay my bills on time, so this was no exception. Sample song was “My Generation” by The Who. I can’t wait to get my livingroom & kitchen back.
06/05 …..195.2 ….. This was a very bad day for me. So busy & all grab & go. I guesstimated over 2000 calories in & over 125 Net Carbs so the gain makes sense. Other stats: 2718 Calories Out. 14,511 Total Steps & 6.14 Miles. IF: 18:6 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 7 minutes. I danced 25 minutes in my small space of boxes. Sample song: “Bad Company” by Bad Company. I am going to my DGS elementary graduation today.

06/04 205.4 - Really really discouraged after seeing these numbers. Not even a month ago I was 200 and since then I've just been slowly gaining. This past weekend get away was much needed, but I kind of let myself go with snacks. I had a healthy lunch yesterday, but got hungry and ate a late dinner which was a light meal, but still shouldn't have eaten so late. Today's lunch was a salad and keeping it healthy and light. Going to try and make a nice healthy dinner and get some steps in. I'm motivated, but sometimes feel like I'm not allowed to be healthy. From waking at 5:30am just to make it to work on time and working 7:30-4/4:30pm, and spending the morning driving to work and exhausted by the time I get home around 5pm along with literally every weekend being booked with SOMETHING it's draining and difficult to find time to take care of myself. I was trying to do the gym at least after work, but I don't even have time for that anymore and running on such little sleep is killing me. I need help.
06/05 204 - So so happy this number went down! I was starting to feel really defeated. I had Wingstop for dinner last night, but only had 5 wings. I messed up by having a couple boneless wings, those are heavier. I had a healthy lunch planned for today and although I won't have time for the gym this week, I'll be running around trying to get last minute errands done so I'll get my steps in that way. I appreciate everyone's hugs, they mean a lot to me and definitely cheered me up from this weekends big gain.
