Hi all, just wanted to share the progress of my weight loss journey and because I hit the -20 lbs challenge weight today, along with -80 lbs. since I started April 6th of this year. I'm still going to continue with this challenge and may even float about the 200 lb mark, but I am there as of today anyway. I'm now 20 lbs away from my ultimate goal of -100 lbs. :)

This is absolutely amazing. Well done and keep it up.

Do you mind sharing what your diet/ workout routine looks like. I'm new here so if you've already shared this please just point me in the right direction.

    TIA

Thank you! The main thing I am doing is being consistent with my calorie deficit. Measuring everything and not going over my deficit even once. As for exercise, I just started out walking for the 1st month or so and built it from there. My current routine for past several months has been full body weight training and cardio on my stationary bike...I exercise 6-7 days a week alternating between the two. I spend around 30-45 minutes exercising each day but it is at a pretty intense pace. With 20 lbs to go for my ultimate goal, I will continue same routine and focus on getting stronger and more defined with weight training. I'm 54 years old and started from the worst shape and health in my entire life.

    GW 240 (or less!)

W1-7 in previous posts, cut to avoid overly long posts.

W8 9/22: 248.4. Down .2 from last week. Best this week was 247.0 yesterday and Friday, but I way overdid it tailgating yesterday. The team won 72-20. No tailgating the next 3 weekends, but it is our anniversary and my birthday next week, then back to back weddings the next two weekends.

W9 9/29: 246.4, best 245.6 yesterday. It’s my anniversary today and my birthday on Wednesday!

    W10 10/6: out of town. 246.8 on the 4th, 248.4 on the 7th.

W11 10/13: 244.4. Best this week: 243.6 yesterday. Down 2 lbs from my last “official” weigh in 2 weeks ago. Yesterday marked the last of my 3 week long “event” period, with my wedding anniversary, my birthday, and 2 weddings. The previous 2 weeks were basically maintenance weeks, but i feel I’m back on track this week and ready to keep moving forward.

W12 10/20: 245.4. I’m up a pound from last week, but I am down an inch from my waist and an inch and a half from my hips, so there is that. And I’ve lost 16.5 this challenge and 26.5 total. Back to tailgating next week, then 2 consecutive 13 hour days for conferences the next week. Fun stuff.

W13 10/27: 241.8 yesterday for a 30lbs total loss and 20lbs for the challenge. Back up today after tailgating yesterday, but only 3 days with students and an actual day off this week on Thursday. So, feeling pretty good. Was hoping to be below 240 by the end of October. May not hit that, but should be close.

W14 11/3: 242.2 yesterday, 244.4 today. Good times, lol. No tailgating this weekend, but no school Thursday and teacher meetings friday, tomorow, and Tuesday means my built in activity is gone for almost a whole week. Went for a run on Thursday, but I fell and skinned my knee so bad it still hurts today, so I skipped the run I was planning yesterday. Will go on a walk during the lunch break again tomorrow like I did Friday.

W6 9/9: 147.0 has been a rough couple of weeks. Hopefully I can get it together and lose that last 10 pounds that I need to.
W7 9/16: 146.3 down from last Monday and I think I would have even been lower, but TOM is showing up today.
W8 9/23: 145.4 finally back on track and moving back down on the scale.
W9 9/30: 145.9 was 140.9 yesterday, but had way to much alcohol and snack foods for the Cowboys game last night.

W10 10/7: 143.2 My lowest Monday so far. Finally maybe I can make some progress this month!
W11 10/14: 142.8 So happy that I am finally seeing some movement downwards.
W12 10/21: 144.6 I had a really good weekend as you can see. I need football season to be over, lol!
W13 10/22: 142.3 I will take it. Absolutely no alcohol yesterday, it was the Cowboys bye weekend.
