Last couple of days have been tough, anxiety wise. Put on some water weight due to poor choices. Turned it around today, but might be too late in the month to end August well.
There's always next month. π5 -

July was kinda of a rough month for me because I was away more days than I was home. So I'm committing myself to working twice as hard in August.
My weekly goals are:
Swim at least once per week.
Strength train at least once per week.
Exercise at least two other times
Eat at/below calorie limit 6/7 days.
Yeah, so August was even rougher for me than the end of July was. Long story short, I've gained about five pounds. I lost my streak because I wasn't recording food and ate whatever I wanted for the month. I was on the road or on vacation for a lot of August and I got an ear infection the one time I went swimming. π’
But enough wallowing! I'm using this last week to get back on track. I've been to the gym twice already and I'm back to recording all my food. Trying to end August on a positive!!!8 -

Hey all, looking for some (UK mostly) friends to help encourage me. August has been pretty sweet so far with my taking up weightlifting and finally cracking calorie counting without being miserable and hungry IF and high fibre is king!

GW for August is 194
August Goals: Work on stress management which can be a trigger for eating, continue to log, check in with nutrition coach.
10 day mini boot camp 05 August to 15 August - means uptick in workouts each week and significantly increasing my seafood substitution, and more veggies, being on the lower end of calories in my range. Complete at least one marathon water jogging session by 18 August (3 hours).
Increase early to bed nights on Tues and Thursdays.
Try not to get emotionally hijacked and control what I can control.

August Update:
HW 242 (June 2018)
CW 197-199 - 197 this am. (5lbs less than my August 01 weigh-in)
GW for August was not met, but is trending downward slowly and I'm in Onederland, so I will take the win.
Did not do the mini bootcamp or the marathon because August was an extraordinarily difficult month because of family member issues that I had to deal with. I did get emotionally hijacked - and it was somewhat unavoidable, so I've decided to focus on response and recovery from hijacking...I have a weekly health-coach call, and have been sticking with that.
Total Weight Loss is 45 lbs since June 2018, and 39 lbs since I started in November 2018. This month my colleagues started noticing and commenting ((GRIN))

one last update for the month, since I reached 30 lbs lost overall! woohoo! it's crazy that this weightless thing is working. why didn't I do this sooner?
down 9.5 lbs for the month, which is slightly above my 2 lbs/week goal, but it's roughly 1%/week so I'm not worried.
August has been great for bike riding! I've got some fun routes planned for the weekend and I've been loving my new bike. here's to September being a great month for everyone!

Generally, there are no symptoms, it is discovered through testing. The testing is often done for diabetics on an annual basism However, the reason I had the testing done when I did was because I was complaining about a slight ache in the liver area. Turns out, that is probably due to an unrelated cyst found during my ultrasound.
I was diagnosed in February, and as of this week my liver function tests are normal. Honestly, that is only about 3 months of working on diet AND exercise, as I hurt my back around the time of diagnosis and ate fast food and slept all day for awhile. I am only a couple of pounds into the obese category now and have my blood sugar under control, as well.
My diet is quite low carb, but the carbs I choose are full of fiber. Although my daily diet looks a lot like keto, I am not strict about it. As a diabetic, I let my fasting blood sugar numbers decide how strict. If a night out sends my fasting blood sugar above 100, I eat keto for a few days, but as soon as it is under control, I eat slightly higher carb levels.
I consider exercise an integral part of my treatment plan. I started out with a goal to do 20 minutes a day, and recently upped that to 30 minutes a day. Honestly, I often get 60-90 minutes in. Even on yoga days, I do some cardio.1 -
Hi everyone. This is my first time participating with your group.
SW: 244 6/18/19
CW: 230
GW: 160
My short term goals:
Do not obsess over the scale. Weigh on Monday morning only! Enjoy the non scale victories (NSV).
Log my food daily.
Aerobic exercise 5 times a week and reformer pilates 2 times per week.
Weigh 225 by August 31.
August 15 - 226
August 20 - 224
August 30 - 223
August was a challenge with a good ending. I met my goal plus a couple of pounds. I had a week trip to Spain and a lovely wedding. I am still obsessing over the scale, I logged my food daily, did aerobic exercise 5 times a week, reformer pilates 1-2 times per week. I have now lost over 20 lbs and feel so much better. I did so much walking in Spain without pain or slowing up my husband. I can go up/down stairs without holding onto the banister. 2 month ago I would pull my self up.
I greatly appreciated this challenge. It kept me accountable and is nice to look back at my progress.1 -

I have been doing this since July and managed to lose a grand total of 2.5 pounds in August. This is more than a little disappointing, but I am trying not to get discouraged. It's always been hard for me to lose weight because I'm an emotional eater, and this month has been very emotional. I'm just trying to power through, but any support or encouragement would be appreciated.
Monday will be my 10 year anniversary with my husband, and when we met I was 198. He is still attracted to me, but I miss my old body. I've had a baby since then, plus I'm nearly 40, and I am struggling. Still, I guess 2.5 pounds is better than nothing?4 -

Joining for a bit of accountability so my birthday doesn't turn into a month of unhealthy food and drink like it usually does. I feel I've had a good few months and really don't want to mess it up.
Couple of goals for August:
* continue to log every day
* 3/4 workouts per week
* take the stairs at least once every day at work
* don't go overboard on the prosecco!
Had a bit of a blip mid month - my birthday, plus my sisters birthday, plus a week of socialising at various different pubs meant I put 2lb on. But I've had my last weigh in of August and am 208lb - down 5lb total for August. Very happy with that.
Took the stairs at work every day (did have a week off work though!) - I still hate it, but I'm starting to get to the point where I'm not completely a puddle of sweat at the third floor!
Here's to September!1 -

Hello! I'd like to join if I may
I was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure and put on a low sodium diet along with several medications and restricted fluids. Interestingly none of the doctors mentioned my weight or recommended I lose any. Of course low sodium translated into fewer calories and now I am seeing some weight loss, and am planning on continuing slowly but steadily (I'm sure it is good for my heart as well!).
SW: 220 (May 2019)
CW: 208
GW: 145
I wanted to update my goals a bit. My goal for August is to get to 200, but will be happy even if It's still a bit above that. There's always September My current ultimate goal weight is 145, but once I get there I can reevaluate and revise it. Just to get to 145 will make me happy (and healthier)! Oh and I'm now at 206!
Final weight for the month: 205 lbs. Not quite where I wanted to be but at least my weight is still going down 3 lbs. lost is not bad!! Looking forward to next month...4 -
Started on the 6th of August. I live in London, UK.
SW: 121.7kg/268.3lb
CW: 116.7kg/257.2lb
GW: 113kg/249lb
Ultimate GW: 65kg/143lb

I am happy that I lost 5kg (11lb). I didn't really know where to put my goal for August so I overestimated a bit. Next month I hope to lose another 5kg (11lb).3 -
Allo everyone,
SW - 270 lbs
CW - 212
GW - 130
GW for August - 208
I had started on this app 3.5 years ago. I then got very sick after losing over 40 lbs. Was hospitalised and diagnosed with ulcerative colitis (I had ongoing symptoms for almost a year at that point). I was quite sick for over a year (the disease and side effects of the drugs). My mom was then diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I was always taking care of her and my own health took a toll. She passed April 10, 2019 at only 60 years old. I was also diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes a few months ago.
It's been a very difficult few years but I'm now ready to start focusing on my health/weight again. I bought a fitness watch a month ago and I'm loving it. I hope to be part of this group. Thank you for reading!
* I accidently posted this in the motivation and support area...lol.
Update:
I hit my goal for August!
