    @MNLittleFinn That is incredible. I panic when I plan to do a 10K. Not sure how I'd feel if I thought I was going to do 200 miles!!! You are amazing, no matter the pace!

    @mbaker566 Awww. What a cute little foster. You are a brave soul after your last episode only days ago. I think I'd be terrified for a while.

    @PastorVincent That's not good! I thought it was bad when my breaks went out once. Not being able to steer and having a wobbling tire would be much worse.

    @T1DCarnivoreRunner Oh no! I hope it isn't anything major and you get back to normal quickly.

    @hamsterwheel6 Great race and great first race report! I have no advice as I still consider myself a novice runner and my longest run is a 10K. Would love to run that half one day - or maybe the AF marathon I just heard about in Dayton OH, since I am retired AF and spend close to 5 years at Wright Patterson.

    I had that happen once too. I had to choose between taking my entire family off a cliff and dropping my truck in to park while at speed. Cost me $2500 for a new transmission, but I think I made the right choice. ;) This was very mild compared to that. I was able to pull off the road and call AAA for a tow. All in all, it went fairly well. Got new part on the Jeep and should be good to drive to work in the AM.

    Hello everyone!

    I actually stuck to my plan today woo hooo. So got up at 6am, did some strength training then went for a run. I may swap those over because my knees after all those squats weren't the happiest, though they got better as the run went on. It was only 3ks today but a lovely 3k.

    I'm doing a personal 8 week challenge, using fitness blender. I AM going to do the whole challenge. Feels good.

    Are you doing the cross training challenge that is 3 days a week? I just started that today. I love FitnessBlender. I always use one of their yoga/stretching videos before I run.

    I should probably do cross training lol but no I'm doing the 8 week program for busy people, only 30 mins a day. I'm planning on running on NON-HIIT days. And I'm going to have to do my running before the workout haha.

    I love FB. I lost 20kg using their programs and have kept it off.

    I wasn't trusting it - I was trying hard to hold it in, because I definitely didn't trust it.

    That should've been 6 minutes and 11 seconds. Gah. I need more coffee.

    @hamsterwheel6 great job on your 1st race report! As far as helping getting through those last few miles, I would say just keep training consistently and increase mileage a bit. It's amazing how the body adapts to challenge.

    WTG @shanaber on your 25th HM!!

    @PastorVincent Yes, I think you made the correct choice to demolish your transmission rather than your family. Fortunately, I was in town when my brakes went out and, with coaching from my husband, was able to continue and drive it to the shop before it closed. It was scary though. Glad you have managed to avoid a catastrophe with your vehicle issues.

    @mbaker566 You are awesome. Glad you didn't take it personally and that this foster is chill.

    @rheddmobile Congrats on your finish, and congrats to your husband as well!
    @ariceroni first 50k, how exciting!!
    @T1DCarnivoreRunner glad you had a fun 5K. Did you move to Memphis? Good luck with your upcoming marathon
    @Lazy_Bones_85 forgive my ignorance but what exactly is a "pace run"? A run at target race pace? Threshold pace? I don't think I've heard that term.
    @JMNagain phones are notoriously inaccurate for tracking distance during a run. It's what pushed me to buy my first GPS watch. If a new one is out of the question, look for a used one. I've bought three, all used, and all significantly less than the retail price. If you have an account with Strava (they're free, with an option for a "premium" account) they have a feature where you can create a route online so you can check the distances you're running. Not 100% accurate, but more accurate than your phone. I think you could also do this with a free account on mapmyrun.com
    @autumnblade75 LOL!!!
    @hamsterwheel6 great race report and great job on your first HM! I like writing race reports for two reasons...first, it helps me relive the moment. Second, I've often learned something from other people's race reports, particularly when I first started running, so perhaps someone might learn something from mine.
    @shanaber - 25 HMs! WOW!! I've done 2. 6 if I count trail HM's.
