Lose 5lbs + in September 2019

The weekend was a bit stressful hence my loss but I am working to get back to my normal calorie range.
My husband's cold is almost gone - pesky cough - and my allergies are like a roller coaster during these past two weeks but we finally feel well enough to get back to the gym tomorrow morning.
Have a good week everyone!
P.S. I started taking progress pics when I got to 135 and every 5 lbs down since then. I like where I am going and 115 lbs will be my new ultimate goal.

I have noticed that I am losing a bit of muscle in my arms so I will step away from cardio a bit and add strength exercises again. Initially, I started with a mix of strength exercises and cardio which I have learned leads to slow weight loss [10 lbs in 7 months] but I do love my small muscle gains.

Were you maybe posting in the ~other~ "Lose 5 lbs + in September 2019" discussion? There are two this month. This discussion was set up as a weekly update, and the person who puts it up got delayed this month. Some folks like to update daily, and someone else started one with the same title.
My guess is that @SamanthaLouiseMence will post the October challenge before the end of September I am one of those folks that weighs every day but just posts a weekly update, so the delay wasn't really a problem.
@cpanus - let's see you get to your goal in October!

Thoughts: Feeling ok about the month. May be able to get to a full pound or even 1.5 by Monday. I'm on task with the work demands and back on my exercise program. The exercise is helping to mitigate some of the residual stress in the evenings. I'm up to 50 reps on the strength training. It's doable and plenty challenging. I will probably hold at 50 until I'm ready to amp it up again. I march in place between sets to get a circuit benefit and add steps. At 50 reps, it's almost 30 minutes. If I go more than that, I'm apt to skip days. When it's time to increase the challenge, I will likely add weights vs reps to stay in that 30 minute window.

19 – 195.0 Bounced around all week. Scale up right now due to travel, lack of movement in car and high sodium restaurant food. I tried to make good choices, but so much hidden sodium! Working on it today.
26 - 196.6 Immediately following travel weigh-in. More travel today. Next week will hopefully find me back on track with a better number on the scale.

I will be here again, but I think I am taking a diet break for the next couple of weeks. I didn't really get anywhere in August because to be honest I lost my motivation. I have been on this journey for over a year now and have lost just over 35 pounds, but I am tired. Last month was a really rough month with some family issues that needed to be taken care of and now my birthday is coming up in a couple of days. So I am eating at maintenance until the 15th and will get back to my losing routine and finally get rid of these last couple of pounds. My ultimate goal is 135-138. I have been hovering between 142-145 the last month, so I am super close, but exhausted at the same time.

5th- 145.1 still working on restaurant and water weight from 4 days in Texas
12th - 145.6 I am officially 40 year old! Where has the time gone, lol. I have been able to maintain and live normally for about 5 weeks now. Even with all the stress of my FIL passing and all the craziness of my kids getting back into their new school years I have been able to do it. I have 2 in college (different schools), a senior in high-school, an 8th grader, and a 5th grader, lol, so when I say it's been crazy I mean it. I am really looking forward to getting under 140 and reaching my goal, so the diet break is over. Back at it today! Let's see what I can do the last half of the month.
19th - 143.7 I have been back on my plan for about a week. Stalled for a couple of days with TOM, but dropped back down to my pre-break weight today. Hopefully I can lose at least a pound by next week and start making some progress.
26th - 142.0 was lower yesterday, but am totally fine with this weight in. A couple more ounces and I will hit my goal for the month!

Finally some progress! It was lower yesterday but I’m just happy to see some downward movement. I have been working hard this week on less snacking and upping my water intake. I need to get to a doctors appointment though as a chronic foot issue has been super flared up since school started up and it’s started to impact my ability to exercise.6 -

This week:
I have not had enough water.
I most likely had more calories then I thought.
I have felt a bit more stressed than my usual.
I did not really walk during lunch.
The good: Husband and I exercised twice this week. I got on the stairmaster for the 1st time. It was fun and I could feel it while I was only on it for 5 minutes. I focused on strength exercises for legs one day then arms for the next workout.
Let's finish strong everyone!

I will be back for October's challenge. Sorry for the disappearing act, but I needed to step away from posting to all challenges for a while. I had a stress filled Summer that ended in adrenal fatigue. I'm recovering now and beginning to add intentional exercise back to my daily routine. I lost all my gains, but if I don't push myself too hard, I should be just fine. See you all in October.

Total loss for September: Today's scale weight is an anomaly. I am dealing with a GI bug. That said, the scale is down 6.2 pounds, and my average is down 4.5 pounds. My average weight is now BELOW my goal weight. My scale weight is below my goal RANGE, and it's the lowest weight I've seen since.... well maybe my adult life. It should come back up when I can eat normally again. I will celebrate with some calorie dense savory foods. I'm thinking pizza. I will make one more update to this discussion on Monday when the month ends. I hope YOU get to YOUR goals soon, too!5 -
Glad to see you back @tiabirdie56 - you've been missed!3

So yesterday's gain to 147.9 must have been a blip. Scale this morning was 146.7. That's more like it.
Being extra careful today. Have a birthday party tomorrow - my son and his (now) 3 year old have back to back birthdays. Daughter in law is serving pizza - which always causes water retention.4 -

Ok, I am happy started back following low carb,(not Keto). And making sure I exercise 6 days a week.
The super cool part is in three weeks I now have my blood sugars for the week averaging 114. I started with an average close to 200. Means tons to me, being a type 2 diabetic.
