Big Mac vs Vegan keto Big Mac

It seems like there is a clear winner but when I really want chips I am not going to be satisfied by popcorn. I very often eat ~75 calories of chips.16
-
Mmm, chips.3
-
I'll take those chips over the popcorn any day of the week.9
-
As much as I lover popcorn ( smothered in butter )...when I want chips nothing will satisfy that craving other than chips!!8
-
I definitely understand! I am a chip eater as well! But sometimes it’s just salty crunchy I want... so it helps satisfy the sensory craving.7
-
I’d choose the popcorn. I love popcorn!
I just read that a guy ate a Big Mac every day for a month and lost 7 pounds. Just last month. He was eating 1500 calories a day, not just eating Big Macs
5’4” he was posting on Instagram. Showing there are no bad foods. I think he was a personal trainer, or something like that.12 -
Wouldn't that Keto Big Mac be a burger patty and cheese? Maybe a pickle and mayo? I don't understand that picture of ice on a plate.
However, Popcorn> chips. If I start on chips I don't stop until my tongue hurts from the salt. No fiber. I only eat them when I can buy a little tiny 240 cal bag of them at Subway.11 -

Haven't had a potato chip in 3 years. Dont remember what they taste like, so I cant miss them! Lol9 -
I always budget a good 400 calories for popcorn, cuz with insufficient butter, it's just not worth it to me, and I prefer it cooked in oil.6
-
By the time I butter up the popcorn I might as well just have the chips.
And, to kshama2001 - have you cooked it in ghee? That’s my new fave.5 -

What the guy proved was that if one eats fewer calories then you burn you lose weight, nothing more. Ask any any Registered Dietitian if a 1500 calorie a day diet that includes a Big Mac every day is sustainable for health.
Instagram posts giving nutrition or exercise advice from someone who people think "was a personal trainer or something like that", IMO is not a good idea.8 -
They both stick around the teeth
but I'd choose the crisps any day...and savour each one slowlyyyy1 -
Mmm food can I have it all3
-
Chips are my weakness. I bought these for those moments and can only eat 3 chips without my mouth completely being on fire...Problem solved.

Sorry my comment needs to be clarified. This man is a fitness coach and personal trainer on Instagram. I read this on my newsfeed, not instagram. He did this to make the point that you can eat all foods in moderation, sticking to a calorie deficit, and lose weight. He wasn’t condoning eating Big Macs everyday, or eating them at all. He ate fruits, vegetables, yogurt etc daily as well.
Many of us agree with this. I’ve personally lost 140 pounds eating all foods in moderation.
BTW, I wasn’t one of the ones who disagreed with you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Sorry OP , for high jacking your thread a bit, I do like popcorn better than chips🌷15 -

I only eat potato chips once a year now. When I go to Ireland, I make sure to get some Cheese and Onion Taytos. They are the best!

Oreos for me. I hadn't had any for years and didn't miss them, and then my OH's aunt brought some to the house, at which point I learned I'm still completely unable to moderate them, so hopefully it will be another few years before I am tempted by them again. (They don't tempt me in the store.)
Chips on the other hand, I can weigh out an ounce, or even a half ounce, and put them back in the cupboard and I'm fine.
I've never tried chips on popcorn. I do like cheese or peanuts on popcorn. I was looking for a caramel popcorn recipe to make my own Crunch N Munch, but one I found made such a huge volume she was using the kitchen sink to mix it, and my eyes crossed, and I didn't bother scaling it down to a 400 calorie serving.4 -

Agree. IMO, one doesn't know what sadness is if they consider the conscious decision to not eat a particular food for any reason sad.8 -
Oh dear...there are times I would walk on hot coals to get to a bag of plain ruffle potato chips. I think it’s the salt. Other times they are noise sitting on my my kitchen counter and doesn’t even rate acknowledgement. Luckily I did learn early on to pour in a small bowl as that usually is enough satisfaction. Rarely do I go for another bowl.2

It is sad you have to give them up. Not sure what the sticks and stones thing is for.4 -

I’m that odd guy in the crowd. I don’t eat popcorn. Like chips but have no problem overeating them. Now steak, that’s a different story.5
-
They are not chips - they are crisps!14
-
Light butter with truffle salt. Omg......and I have to leave the house in five minutes. That’s probably a good thing.3

Really?
What’s healthier, being overweight or a normal weight?10
