Thank you everyone for the kind wishes, it really meant a lot. I'm hanging in there, but just sliding through the day right now, kind of numb. But this, too, shall pass, as they say.
Female, 68 YO, 5'8"
SW 157.4
GW 156.4 This is a 1 pound goal for this round
10/20 157.4 TS Nestor is gone, sun was shining, female dog was strong enough for almost 3 miles today, so we
got in our first real, though short, hike in over a week! YAY!
10/21 OMG... for the first time in FOREVER, I forgot to get weighed!
10/22 157.2 No excitement, just my body regulating fluids. Dang it! lol
10/23 157.0
10/24 157.4
10/25 156.8
10/26 158.4 Has to be water retention, I was good on my diet yesterday, but sodium was high. SMH Ate poorly today at our annual Cooter Festival, so don't expect to do better tomorrow, either.
10/27 159.4
10/28 158.4
10/29 157.4
No loss, but no gain, so I'll take it. Thanks again for the condolences sent my way.8 -

Day/Weight/Comment
10/20: DNW- Did too much today and just didn't really weigh in.
10/21:206- I let a little loose yesterday. Went to Disneyland and walked a lot. Didn't have as much water and ended up having sushi for dinner with my cousin. I hope I can get through this week with at least some progress.
10/22: DNW- Spent the night at my boyfriends since he finally got a day off. Kept dinner simple and I thought we would make it in the gym together last night, but think we were both out of it. I'm feeling a lot better today, especially after he told me he can tell I've slimmed down a little. Honestly, hearing that made me so happy! I'm meal prepping when I get home today and will be pushing myself to get back in the habit of the gym tonight.
I'm a little nervous not knowing my weight for today, but hoping it hasn't gone up.
10/23: 207.2- Ugh this is no good! I had a feeling I went up, but didn't think it was by that much Plus gym didn't happen last night. Not sure what's wrong with me, but I cannot keep my eyes open and just need sleep. I need a break, all this running around, driving everywhere, doing things is draining me! It shouldn't be an excuse though, I need to start getting serious. Ate kinda bad last night, not gonna lie. Need to finish meal prepping and start logging my meals again.
10/24: 207- Baby steps. Yesterday was bad! I had the worst migraine and am so thankful for Advil. My wisdom teeth pain I think is the main reason for the migraines and it's starting up again now. I'm just too scared to get them removed, and with work I don't think I'm able to take the time off. Last night I couldn't do anything. I felt like a mess and just want my energy back. I keep sleeping funky too; knocking out with the lights on, double pillows giving me neck strain, etc. I really am taking baby steps in the right direction though. Don't want to push myself too hard and get sick. This sucks but I'm trying.
10/25:206-Woohoo! I'm so proud of myself for being on top of my stuff yesterday. Andddddd I pushed myself to go to the gym last night I popped an Advil, got my healthy food shopping done, and went to the gym. I did 30 mins cardio and some strength for my arms, didn't want to push more than that. Stayed under 100 net carbs and had 51oz water (baby steps) I feel so cruddy this morning, with the migraine not going away STILL and for some reason I'm running to the bathroom all morning.
ALSO I bought my bf the same scale I have because his needs to go in the trash and never see the light of day again. Hope everyone's Friday is going well
10/26:205.6-Feels great to be out of 206 No gym last night and honestly ended up having a big mac It's day 73847324820398 of my migraine and no improvement. I just took some meds and hope it will help. Heading to my bf's house today and have a birthday with friends tomorrow, oh I hope the pain goes away.
10/27:DNW-Bf loves the new scale I got him, his dad even tried it out I did weigh myself on it, but I had clothes on and I always weigh in the mornings with nothing on because I've noticed my clothes always change the results. So not sure what my numbers are right now.
10/28:DNW- Should have taken the scale with my in the bathroom, but looks like I'll be going another day not knowing where I'm at. This weekend kind of killed me. From migraines, to meds, to having a regular coke Saturday and some drinks and candy yesterday, I just said screw it. I'm going to be pissed if I'm above 206 again, that weight is just annoying me. Hoping today is a new day and to see some good results tomorrow with less tooth and head pain.
10/29:205.6-I'm shocked! I thought for sureeeee I gained like 5 lbs from this weekend. I was so off track with not logging meals, or even really logging into MFP and I even had a burger yesterday for dinner WITH chili cheese fries....CHILI CHEESE FRIES! Toootalooooo 206! Let's hope I never see you again. I hope I can handle the next round. With Halloween creeping in it might be a challenge.10 -

10/19 …..188.0….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
10/20 …..189.0 ….. Within calorie, a little high on carbs yesterday. 1505 Calories In / 2606 Calories Out. 47 Net Carbs. 15,158 Total Steps & 6.41 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I only slept 3 hours & 41 minutes. Yesterday I walked 68 minutes in the neighborhood at approx 3.0 mph. I also took a short 10 minute slow walk at about 2.0 mph. Total extra calorie burn 402. Good luck everyone!
10/21 …..189.2 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 984 Calories In / 3254 Calories out. 57 Net Carbs. 25,269 Total Steps & 10.69 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 1 minute. I hiked a long rustic trail for 103 minutes at 3.5 miles per hour. I walked in my neighborhood for 41 minutes at 3.0 mph. Extra calorie burn was 825.
10/22 …..192.8….. A disastrous day. Emergency travel due to family situation. No notice, no planning! Some meals good choices, others not. An emotional day overall. I don’t know my exact stats. I am sure it’s over 150 carbs and over 2000 calories. No planned exercise or extra calorie burn. I am
back home now. Things have quieted down. Time to face the fiddler. Expecting rain so I will walk inside the school, if necessary. Doubling down on water & parsley tea. Maybe an egg fast today for at least 24 hours. Glad to be home & have choices.
10/23 …..188.2 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 698 Calories In / 2844 Calories Out. 4 Net Carbs. 20,182 Total Steps & 8.54 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 55 minutes. For extra exercise I raked and hauled leaves and pine needles for 64 minutes and I took a 3.5 miles walk inside the school during the rainy drizzle yesterday evening for 76 minutes walking 3.0 mph. Total extra calorie burn 800.
10/24 …..188.4 ….. A normal fluctuation on the scale. Yesterday’s stats: 1168 Calories In / 3113 Calories Out. 39 Net Carbs including a new recipe of stuffed peppers using cauliflower rice. 25,318 Total Steps & 10.71 total miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 7 minutes and woke up feeling lazy, sore and tired. I did yard work for 62 minutes, took a walk inside the school for 96 minutes at 3.0 mph, took a neighborhood walk for 34 minutes at 2.5 mph and I did misc. cardio exercises for 39 minutes. Total extra calorie burn 1226.
10/25 …..187.2 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1402 Calories In / 3201 Calories Out. 34 Net Carbs including Spaghetti Squash. 27,306 Total Steps & 11.55 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours (missed the morning ones doing paperwork). I slept 5 hours & 31 minutes. I walked for 128 minutes at 3.0 mph inside the school . I did yard work in the afternoon with more raking & hauling for 137 minutes. Last night after closing out my mfp I did 21 minutes of low-impact aerobics. Total extra calorie burn 1578
10/26 …..186.6 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1377 Calories In / 2869 Calories Out. 22 Net Carbs. 19,220 Total Steps & 8.13 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 37 minutes. I did yard work for 115 minutes including more raking & hauling. I walked for 42 minutes at 3.0 mph in my neighborhood. I did 31 minutes of low-impact aerobics . My total extra calorie burn was 1271
10/27 …..187.8 ….. Not such a good day after all. Ate perfectly within bounds and walked 4.45 miles inside the school halls (due to cold temps) where they were having a Halloween Dance. Goodies for sale to help the graduating class of my grandson in a couple of years. Bought some items in a “charitable” mood to “take home to my son”. I ended up eating half of them! Next time, I’ll just donate the money & bring home nothing! Yesterday’s stats: Carbs & cals over the top. 2769 calories burned. 19,136 total steps & 8.1 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 41 minutes. Little to no water yesterday either. Today will be a better day. I would love for my weigh-in to be as good as it can by the time I get to my Mammogram & Breast Cancer Oncologist appointment at University of Michigan this Wednesday. Time for my annual re-check and to check how remission is going!
10/28 …..187.8 ….. Steady scale. I had a wonderful movie night with my son last night at home. I resisted his popcorn, soda & sweet snacks. I enjoyed my Atkins indulgence bar and am so glad that I did. I am traveling on Wednesday for a super long day trip and I want to stay stabilized before then. Yesterday’s stats: 1400 Calories In / 2916 Calories Out. 28 Net Carbs. 18,223 Total Steps and 7.71 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 5 hours & 6 minutes but needed more. I walked my neighborhood with the neighbor for 68 minutes walking 4.0 mph. I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 61 minutes. Total extra calorie burn 747.
10/29 …..188.0 ….. I broke even on my weight. A bit disappointing since I’d hope to make the 2 pound goal, but not gaining is a plus for sure! A bit over calorie and carbs yesterday. Nervous about appointment tomorrow with oncologist for sure! Travel tomorrow. Yesterday’s stats: 1727 Calories In / 3053 Calories Out. 54 Net Carbs. 17,307 Total Steps & 7.32 Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 6 hours & 22 minutes which is great for me. I walked inside the school halls for 102 minutes at a 3.0 mph pace and I did light to moderate housekeeping in the tourist cabins & my home/office for 100 minutes. Total extra calorie burn 954. Great round everyone! See you on the other side!

Round 93 – Oct. 20 to 27/ 2019
Female, 5’, 66 years. Goals – finish calorie log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 163, GW – 162, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.) Planning to get my winter gym membership this round and get back to regular 2-3 times a week workout.
Back again after holiday out to see our son and family who have a toy and candy store. Amazingly am only up a bit from where I was when I left (varying around 162.2 to 162.8) although there may be an uptick tomorrow from all the chocolate.
Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 - dnw
10/21 - dnw
10/22 – 163 – Not nearly as bad as I feared. Logging carefully today so as not to increase the damage though have a busy day. Last trip for the year, I think, so can really settle in to the winter stuff. Made it over the last mountain pass last night (in snow) just as they were issuing a weather advisory. At home it’s a beautiful fall day. Thankful.
10/23 – 162.4 – Question that I deserve this as had ½ a dark thin chocolate bar last night and also a bit of chocolate at lunch(gift from trip). Don’t have to go anywhere today so hoping to get in some exercise and make good meals.
10/24 – 163.4 – Was rather expecting this. Did have chocolate again yesterday but now it is gone. Did stretches this am and got to bed at a reasonable time so hoping for lots of progress today.
10/25 – 162.6 – Onward and downward. No stretches yesterday but did plant one last perennial which involved a lot of digging out nasty soil and stones so should have burned some calories there. Have a practice this morning but hoping to rake leaves this afternoon as we’re supposed to get snow tomorrow. Calories were ok yesterday but still some LNS – hoping to do better today.
10/26 – 163.6 - ?? Maybe the LNS catching up with me or maybe too much salt at supper. Power was out for a number of hours yesterday so our supper was cold meat sandwiches and snacking on homemade granola (nutritious but not low cal at all).
10/27 – 163.4
10/28 – 163.6 The true bump up from holidays and a week of tiredness & trying to catch up. Busy day today and tomorrow but then I am finished with one class I was taking so that may help. Last night managed to keep to apples for LNS though may count for the day must have been over by about 300 cals.
10/29 – 163.8 – Total LNS last night. Had a productive day and got home fairly late from music practice, which went well, with a few things that needed to be done that I’ve been putting off. That’s a nice recipe for emotional eating - tired but needing to do three things you have been procrastinating on for a few weeks. I didn’t have time to do all three. Instead I ate and didn’t do any of them. Shows the cost of procrastination. Just dealing with it, even badly, would be better than eating and then still having to deal with it. Anyhow, today is a new day and maybe I learnt something.

@poisonesse - I'm so sorry for your loss. What a shock.
This makes me realize that I should thank my sister-in-law who has been keeping the family informed on my brother's health. Sometimes it's TMI about things that may just be a chronic issue and not acute but better TMI than no info at all.2 -

10/23 No Scale I have been on vacation or traveling for work for two weeks and while I've been tracking I haven't weighed consistently. I was mostly good. I've been in Phoenix, for you people who live here - does the sun ever relent??? I walked Monday when I got here, I thought I just drank a lot of water I don't need to take a bottle with me. That was a mistake. Thought I was going to croak after just 1.5 miles. I checked in to my hotel and crashed for 3 hours. It might not have been the best idea to walk after 4 hours of sleep and a 2-hour plane ride. But I had no work plans until Tuesday morning and walking is my default activity. I couldn't even check in until 1:00 pm and I landed at 8:00 am. Oh well. The scale will tell tomorrow, though I'm sure it will be high due to travel.
10/24 No Scale My trip was extended one day by my BF. He joined me as a surprise. He's not supposed to travel but obviously he's not good at following doctors' advice. It's all good though, he's fine and we're home safe and sound.
10/25 163.5 I had hoped for more but I'll take it. I did not exercise yesterday but I ended up getting sick to my stomach. I think it might have been an airport coleslaw the night before. It's difficult to find airport food that has veggies in it so I took my chances. I enjoyed the break from day-in-day-out work but I'm ready for routine. These are pics from my first walk in Az. I'm not a huge fan of the desert but as you can see I went early in the morning. Believe it or not, there is a trail in the pic without the two cactus.
10/26 163.9
10/27 164.1 ARGH
10/28 164.5 Saturday night I had a very high in sodium but delicious meal. I cannot stay away from Asian food but it's always full of sodium. Tempura veggies, half a sushi roll, and some noodles all veggies and fish. If it weren't for the sauces I'd be down today! I HOPE the water is gone by tomorrow. I was so full from Saturday night I wasn't hungry most of yesterday. I got in three miles on Saturday but spent my walking time on Sunday trying to get my new phone up and running. I seem to be on an "every other day" exercise schedule, I have to get back on track. I passed out a couple of weeks ago and have been kinda chicken ever since. I've gone to the doc and they weren't sure what's up but didn't restrict exercise. They did an EKG that showed a weird electrical issue that might have caused the passing out but they want me to wear a 30-day monitor because it didn't seem to be serious enough to have caused the passing out. I want to know, I want to stay on track I've put so much time and effort into this. I go tomorrow to have the monitor attached. Wish me luck.
10/29 163.5 Obviously I was hoping for more, but I'll take any loss. I am still losing .55 pounds per week on average. I'm happy with it. Traveling for work and everything, I'm still doing ok. I fit into a pair of 12 pants. I haven't done that since junior high. I've committed to myself to stop eating out as much when I'm not traveling. I stay within calories but constantly fight sodium. I had the monitor put on this morning. They said not to change my behavior - which means I can still walk! On to Round 94 maybe I'll see 15X in the next couple.9 -
69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
Trying to get back to walking 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/22 - 73.3kgs.
10/23 - 72.2kgs. Passed my goal! Yesterday I stuck to ww plan successfully as well.
10/24- 72.9kgs. alright I had a very bad day yesterday. What went wrong ? Firstly I was out and did not have the discipline to stop myself from buying too much from maccas. I mean, I did choose a healthier option (chicken wrap) than normal but I didn’t have to eat those chicken nuggets. Secondly my mum keeps giving me food even though I haven’t finished yesterday’s food so here I am scoffing all the food just so it doesn’t become old. I really need to either stop doing that to myself or ask mum not to cook me anymore food if I want to lose weight. Previuously for me to lose weight, I have always stopped Eating her food because I have no control how much I eat her food (it’s too good!). And she have no sense of portions (I’ll ask for one serving and she’ll give me three)!
10/25- 72.5kg. The numbers going down...but why am I doing this to myself ?? I’ll be good all day then come dinner time, I’ll stuff myself with junk. Last night was pizza and lasagne.
10/26- 72.1kgs.
10/27- 73.1kgs. Hopefully this is bloat. I ate bad again last night. Except for 1 day this round, every other day I have not followed and stuck to my ww plan. I seriously need to think about all my excuses and learn to think differently because as like someone said here, I control what I put in my mouth.
So I’ve taken a few action. I’ve deleted Uber eats app and I’ve written up my list of excuses and how to overcome it. I previously did not have a goal date to achieve 10kg weight loss so here it is. I’m giving myself to end of the year to do it. That’s 10 weeks left from today.

Round 93:
Female, 57 yy, 4'11''
OSW: 177.1 lbs
LTG: 110.0 lbs
STG: 115 (next milestone)
Goals for 10 day Challenge: reach 115-114.
Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 116.6 Ate out last 2 nights - great meals, but heavy protein and wine first night (the extra protein tends to lead to slower digestion/retention) and sushi last night (also wine). Over both nights (not by a lot, so within “refeed” objective) but under maintenance calories, so expect that a lot of this is also water retention (usually gain after sushi, but love it as a treat!!!). XTrain class in the morning and then doing barbell weight routines in the afternoon.
10/21 117.2 Up again. Definitely water retention/food retention, so expect that this will drop in a day or so. Heavy weights yesterday - set new PR for deadlifts (115 lbs) - so close to bodyweight - and improving strength overall with squats and bench press. definitely feeling it in legs/shoulders today! XTrain class early am and then a pilates class in afternoon.
10/22 116.4 Reversing direction after the dinners out last weekend! Still some DOMS with deadlifts from Sunday Sunday so expect some water retention still an issue. Weight training with trainer this morning and will likely go to spin in the evening for cardio.
10/23 117.2 Bounce.. Definitely DOMS this morning from weight training yesterday am, and a super intense spin class last night (38 min at peak HR out of 55) so not surprised weight is up (likely water retention) NSV: have lost 0.5 inches around my waist since last week, so scale and army %BF calculators seem to agree that BF is around 28% At this point with weight training, inches lost are more meaningful than changes on the scale, but still watching to see how my body is adjusting to the increased calories. Decided today would be my rest day for this week (usually the low point) and will be back to strength training and cycle tomorrow.
10/24 117.6 Waiting for the Whoosh…. Have had a week like this before. I am pretty sure that calories are below maintenance and exercise is good, so probably still a mix of increase in muscle (scale thinks 0.2 lbs so half) and water retention from exercise and sodium (cheese in lasagna I made last night probably did not help on that count). Great workouts today, so not expecting a drop tomorrow as muscles recover. Patience, patience, patience…
NSV: my old white stretch jean leggings are too big in the waist (seemed to fit a week ago) - that’s more important than the scale number as belly fat gets burned! Ordered new jean leggings 2 sizes down.
10/25 116.6 one pound down! Tried on old size 4 suede skirt from mid 90’s and can now zip up! (this was back when I weighed probably around 105 using machines/light dumbells). Definitely leaner in legs now than then as plenty of room in hips, even though heavier, but can still afford to burn more fat around the waist (BF% around 28%) (it does zip, but not lose enough to be comfortable sitting - lol!) Definitely enjoying the increase in calories (1500-1600 target) so just need to roll with the slower loss/gains - with strength training/cardio the fat will likely be reduced with time, even if weight stabilizes here (body recomp time?). 30 minute express spin class today and may try to work in a regular bench press with bar + incline bench press ahead of time, as those muscles have recovered from earlier in the week.
10/26 115.6 Down another pound. Challenge tonight is dept Halloween party so will need to treat as a cheat day! Xtrain in the morning and dancing tonight!
10/27 116.6 Not surprised! Over calories with alcohol, but had a great time! Burned over 1000 calories yesterday, and over 17,000 steps, but definitely dehydrated and had too much sodium late in the day so expect a lot of this is water retention/food retention. Went to gym late afternoon for weights and spin class. New PR on back squat of 105
10/28 115.6 Back down again, so that is good given the lifting yesterday. Within 0.2 lbs of low from last round, but happy to stay in the 115’s/ A little sore in glutes, shoulder/chest but not too bad! Going to do a pilates/barre class after work; maybe spin but they are back to back so not sure if I’ll be able to get in the spin class for cardio (requires a wrist band). If not there is always the elliptical at home for a quick HIIT workout, but much prefer to exercise before dinner rather than after, as exercise too late messes up my sleep!
10/29 115.6 Held it! Not much of a loss this round on the scale, but increased calories by about 300-400 a day with a couple of days that were over even that with eating out, so need to give my body/hormones time to adjust to the new level before adjusting. (max - min within round of 2 lbs so did recover!) I have increased in strength, and have seen a decrease in inches at waist, and decrease in %BF (0.5%) so all in all forward progress!
See everyone next round!

10/22 132.3, hour gym and then seeing a performance tonight so will have lite dinner and drinks.
10/23 132.6, have to up water intake and lower wine intake haha. Off to gym for an hour

10/28 132.5, very riveting weight loss this week, but if I can stay below 133, I’ll be happy for any weight loss. This week is my TOM so should have some better numbers next week.
10/29 132.2, happy with this since got to a 24.98 BMI this round. Hoping to continue losing in round 94

Back again and still working to get into the my new and final decade. I have around 5 pounds to lose to get to my final goal weight of 135-138, but at the rate I am going it may be next year, lol. I would love to see a new low this round, but we will see what happens and I want to be under 141.9 at least 6-7 times in this round.

Round 91: 140.9 - 143.6 Avg 143.62
Round 92: 143.6 - 141.5 Avg 142.01
10/20 - 143.9 up 2.4 pounds overnight. That is what 3 meals at restaurants in 1 day looks like on me. Didn't eat bad, but the sodium destroys me every time. Oh well, I had an amazing day on our day trip driving around and looking at the leaves changing colors with my hubby yesterday. Well worth the couple of extra water weight pounds.
10/21 - 144.6 Yikes! I don't think I deserve this, but ok. Cleaned house, did laundry, and meal prepped all day. So maybe I am just dehydrated or something. We will see tomorrow. Have my meals planned today and drinking my water.
10/22 - 144.6 Decided I needed to do something different, because I am just stuck. I can not lose these last couple of pounds so I worked out for the first time yesterday in years. I literally hurt everywhere and cannot sit down without cringing my legs hurt so bad. So I'm thinking that is why there is no change in my weight today. I will do my workout I had planned today, but I will not be doing it with a smile. This is my plan for the next 30 days to see if I can jump start my weight loss again. If not I am out of options and I may just decide the last 5 pounds is just not worth it. So 1/30 down, only 29/30 to go!
10/23 - 143.9 Still crazy sore. Did not do my exercises that I had planned. My legs just hurt to bad. Hopefully today I will get something in. but I am still not 100%. Meals planned today, but going out to dinner tonight for my son's 20th bday. Already looked at the menu and I know what I am going to order. Was under calories Monday and Tuesday, so still fighting the good fight.
10/24 - 144.6 great dinner out and almost at calorie limit. Over just a tad, but did have a bloody mary and a beer. Your first born only turns 20 once, so no regrets. I will eventually get back down.
10/25 - 143.9 Of course I am back here. Can not seem to get anywhere this round. Have only had alcohol one time in the last 5 days and have been under calories 4 out of the last 5 days. Some how I am still higher everyday this week than I was last week. Who knows what is going on? I am skipping happy hour with friends tonight, because I do not want to drink and I know if I go out I will. One Friday isn't going to kill me and I am exhausted. I think it's a movie on the couch kind of night. I have chicken tacos in the crock pot for dinner and will do mine over lettuce instead of doing tortillas. So should be on track the rest of the day and finish strong.
10/26 - 142.3 No alcohol on a Friday night. Now that is a win in my book.
10/27 - 139.7 Did an almost 24 hour fast yesterday, so I know this will bounce back up. I am just hoping to get through this weekend and maybe make some progress. We will see what happens.
10/28 - 142.3 Well that sucks! I was really expecting a bounce up, but a much smaller bounce up. One more day and I will be lucky to end where I started this round. Oh well, at least I am trending down again. All last week I was trending up and not a happy camper.
10/29 - 142.3 Well I finished higher than my start weight this round, boooo! My 10 day average is also up about a pound, but my overall 30 day monthly average is down over a pound. Still working the process and trying to get somewhere eventually. Maybe the next 10 days will be nicer to me than the last. Good job everyone!6 -
@poisonesse I am so sorry for your loss. We got a message on FB about 2 months ago telling us that my husband's dad died. We never knew he was sick either and really hit my husband hard. He did not have the best relationship with his father, but would have wanted to say good bye. People and family are extremely weird when it comes to death for some reason. I am sorry you found out that way and I am sending you my thoughts and prayers!

Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 - 167.2
Rats.
10/21 - ooops
Forgot to check in, apparently.
10/22 - 167.2
I ate well and not too much until last night. Ice cream. Sigh. Today is a new day.
10/23 - 166.4
That’s better.
10/24 - 166.2
I’m surprised, as I had a bit of a binge yesterday. Probably show up tomorrow!
10/25 - 167.6
Yep, there’s Wednesday’s binge. It’s ok. I’m going back to a modified elimination diet to try to address some stomach upset issues and other than things I think may be food related. I just don’t feel quite up to par. I was on a strict elimination diet for a while last year for PMR and those issues went away, along with about 25 pounds that have found there way back with another 5-10 friends. I’m cutting out milk, cheese, flour, added sugar, and meat other than limited chicken and oily fish. I started yesterday but did have a small dish of lime sherbet last night. I told DH to interrogate me about my intentions if I get anything but water or fruit from the kitchen after dinner! Enjoy the weekend, all!
10/26 - 167.6
I suppose it’s because I decided to give up flour and cheese, but I had a huge craving for pasta yesterday, so we went to Fazoli for lunch and I fed the feeling. I think that got it out of my system, and today I’m ready for salad and salmon. One step at a time. I didn’t snack last night — yay! Today’s project — paint the bathroom.
10/27 - 167.8
Aww, come on. Has to still be Wed. Binge residue, because I’ve kept my hand out of the bread box. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.
10/28 - 169.4
No no no no no. I did eat over calories yesterday — book club pitch in — but not a pound and a half on top of my previous gain. I’m so disappointed in myself. Ugh. I worked hard from Feb 2015 through this time last year and have undone way too much of that work in 2019. WTH? Every day I say I’ll go back to sensible eating, and every other day I eat like a wacko, and I don’t know why. But it’s Monday, always a good day to start over, so.....once again I promise to avoid added sugar and flour products, and to limit any evening snacks to raw fruit or veggies.
10/29 - 168.8
Not what I planned, but it is what it is. New approach starting tomorrow.
I am not on a diet, but a lifelong pilgrimage to maintain physical & emotional health. Reaching and maintaining a lower healthy weight is just one of several goals.

Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 126.6 Weekend maintenance achieved, Day 1/2...
10/21 126.6 Weekend maintenance achieved, Day 2/2= a whole weekend (Fri-Sun)! And I baked both days, unbelievable! This is new for me. I love to bake, but it's always been the gateway to losing control, because I prefer my own baked goods to anything store-bought, and I tend to eat a *lot* of dough along the way. You know, you have to taste it to make sure it's going to turn out all right! So I'm proud. And not afraid that baking will undo all my progress. I was honestly afraid to bake for months. Ever since I started off at 158 in March. Anyone else have weight loss/maintenance fears?
10/22 126.6 Yawn. Exact same weight for a week.
10/23 125.6
10/24 125.6
10/25 124.8 Well, finally a new weight, just 1.8 above the original goal weight I set back in March (I readjusted upward recently). It'll be up by 2-3 lbs tomorrow, I assume, because there are Halloween-themed events happening and I'd like to play with more calories with the goal of finishing this round around 126.
10/26 124.8 I still expect to bounce up slightly.
10/27 126.4 There it is. And this is where I want to be, so I'm right on track!
10/28 DNW
10/29 126.4 Okay, met my maintenance goal this round. I predict an unrestrained movie date with my husband is going to set me back for a few days, though, as I begin next round.7 -
@poisonesse So sorry for your loss. Sending hugs and wishing you peace.
@deepwoodslady I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Sending lots of hugs and wishing a clean report from the oncologist!

Hi. My name is Trina. I missed the last couple of rouds and I missed you all!
I had a double mastectomy for Invasive Lobular Carcinoma on 9/24. Happy to say that I am back at pre-surgery weight, and back up to regular walks. Unfortunately I can't do much else, since I can't bounce, lift my elbows above my shoulders or lift more than 5 pounds. Unfortunately the cancer was fairly large. I was told no chemo, and possible radiation, but due to the size I will get to do both chemo and radiation. Hopefully that doesn't lead to No-hair-vember!

10/22 ~ DNW ~ was nice starting the day not worried about the scale. Not sure if spending the day wondering is any better though, lol. Walking, stretching and BW exercises done. Had the yummiest Hawaiian Brown Rice Poke Bowl for lunch, but am going to have to get in some more exercise if I want to keep carbs within the 25% range today.
10/23 ~ DNW ~ sore so stretching and walking only. Also now trying to dink 1/2 my body weight in water and green tea everyday until November 1st.

10/25 ~ 212.8 was hoping for bigger drop, but I'll take it! Yesterday was crazy 18 hr day from running start to 6:am finish. Too tired for anything today. Day/Weight/Comment
10/20 – 183.4 – Back where I was on 10/1, but I’m not really surprised as I haven’t been putting in as much effort as I should.
10/21 – 183.0 – Gorgeous day, so I opted for a longer 70 min. walk rather than a household chore before class. Got a bit of grading done and caught up on student email before heading to my daughter’s for a delicious dinner cooked by my grandson. Came in under my calorie allowance even with the pumpkin cake I ate for breakfast!
10/22 – 182.6 – Rainy day, so no walk. Did a few small chores instead, but didn’t get as much done as I’d like. These chilly grey days just seem to sap my motivation. Met my calorie goal though and even got a little grading done. Forecast for tomorrow is better, so I should be able to get out and walk.
10/23 – 182.4 – Long busy day, but I got my walk in and stayed under my calorie limit. Did some laundry and took care of some of my “to do’s” on campus. Too tired to focus on grading but I’ll be up early to get some of it done before class.
10/24 – 182.4 – Up early to finish the grades before the first day of midsemester conferences. I wound up taking a two-hour nap when I got home, but the day was so lovely that I tied on my sneakers and took my pup for a walk in the park. With the sun low in the sky behind me, I mused on my long slender shadow – maybe a hint of a future me? 😉 Met my logging and calorie goals again, but chores will have to wait for tomorrow.
10/25 – 181.6 – Slept in a little this morning and woke up with a headache. I’m guessing it’s the dry air and the dust now that we’ve switched the heating on. Skipped the walk and picked my mom up to do some shopping. Big dinner, dessert, and a really nice Bordeaux wiped out my deficit today, but I logged it all and will try to get back on track tomorrow.
10/26 – 181.6 – Another lovely autumn day! The brush has died back enough that the trails through the woods are reasonably passable again. Walked the reservoir trail with my husband this afternoon, enjoying the quiet and the bright fall colors reflected in the water. Ate just under my calorie limit, but sodium was through the roof. We’ll see what the scale says tomorrow.
10/27 – 181.0 – Slept in, so weighing later may account for the unexpected drop. Rainy day. I’d planned to focus on chores and grading, but wound up inviting my daughter’s family over for dinner and cooking up a Guinness onion soup with Irish cheddar that caught my eye a while back. Took a little tweaking, but it was totally worth the calories. Not much of a deficit today, and no walk to offset the extra calories, so I’d better be extra good tomorrow!
10/28 – 181.6 – Not unexpected, since I pretty much ate at maintenance this weekend. Back under my usual calorie limit today. Got lots of grading and even a few chores done before class, but I didn’t get home in time to walk before dark ☹ One more weigh-in to go!
10/29 – 180.2 – Yay! A nice way to end the round. Late dinner, but under my calorie limit. Rained all day again, so no walk. I wound up taking a much-needed nap instead. So I uess I’m rested and ready for the next round!

Hi, I’m Karen and I’m 54.
SW-Sept. 2018-187
UGW-139
10/22-The batteries in the scale are dead. We leave for a 4 day trip, lots of driving. My husband will be in meetings and I have quilting projects to work on, and my walking shoes.
10/26-171-It’s good to be home, I got the batteries in the scale. I’m going on a big walk today and a party tonight.
10/28-174-. Bad food choices.
10/29-171-I told myself that no matter what, I would eat good and I had to eat out twice. And I did! By dinner, my hamburger was wrapped in lettuce, no French fries. I’m off to the gym and then some work. I’m hoping for another good day.😊
10/30-168-This mainly from eating good.5 -

** ROUND 93 **
Round # 22 for me
Day/Weight/Comment
10/20
10/21
10/22 402.4
10/23 400.4
10/24 400.2
10/25 398.6
10/26 400.4
10/27 398.4 – I am back. I had a good session with my therapist Tuesday and trying hard to get my head by on straight. I am going to concentrate on numbers right now. I am going to focus on healthy habits. No more goal weights. Just focus on losing something if just a little bit. Unknowingly, I had slipped into that all or nothing thinking. So far so good. I will probably be back up tomorrow. Not sure I believe today’s weight, but we will see.
10/28 400.8 – I knew it, because weekend was not good. No worries back on it today. Going to get my 6500 steps in today and eat mindfully. I also decided, since I am very busy, I am not going to do all the challenges I have been participating in on MFP. I am going to pick the one that helps me to most or fits my goals and that is this one. So, for now regrettably I am going to let the other ones go for now. I just don’t have the time and I would like to be a supportive part of just one instead of a hit or miss of all 3.
10/29 NWI - Took a pass. Ate really late and got up late and had to rush for work. No more goals and I am down 1.6 pounds. I do think I was putting too much pressure on myself with the goals and feeling like a failure when goals not meet. So just going to concentrate on losing weight by focusing on behavior modifications.
My journey … ("I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!")In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbsMy highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.:flowerforyou: SW 373.4 - 1/3/19 EW ??? - 12/31/19 :flowerforyou:Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)
