I'm sure a lot of what I do screams it 😣 .....but honestly who isn't insecure just a bit ?!..😉
But overly insecure can be a drag...to others and the person suffering from it...so that sucks😩
I'm not sure really....someone who needs constant reassurance about their looks, what they're doing....etc...I suppose🤔
But to me what harm is there in giving it to them right?
The possessive folks who just want all your time because they need to be the most important person in your life are probably the hardest to deal with....that's a toxic attitude for them and you.....
Also I think negative people tend to be insecure .....those who like to rain on your parade or talk *kitten* about others.... there is a reason they are like that.....insecurity....toxic..
Touchy subject but interesting one as well!!😎🤘💙7 -
Oh, another one: Constantly fishing for compliments and an unwillingness to accept genuine compliments in the hopes that you can obtain more validation.5

Having too much going on at once. For example a woman who is in a casual situation and she has a Louis Vuitton (or similarly very pricey) handbag, eyelash extensions, freshly done fake nails, is wearing extremely large and flashy jewelry, etc.
I know I'll probably just sound like I'm "being a jealous hater" with this but it's my honest answer. If someone has one or two of the above things I don't think it looks so tryhard.
ETA: same would go for a man with faux tan, Rolex, super-whitened smile and much fancier clothes than an occasion requires.5 -

- Inability to accept legitimate criticism (not insults, actual constructive criticism).
- Snooping on whatever it is I happen to be doing that is none of your business.
- Excessive jealousy (a little is probably normal and fine).
- The inability to leave one's house without having a full face of makeup at all times.
- Being hypercritical of other people or oneself (guilty of this one, as I've mentioned).

People always trying to "one up" others in conversations. Or those who constantly want to dominate every conversation.10

Likewise. It was a friendly feud the German auto enthusiasts have. I could have put a Ferrari up there. The 911 crowd gets called insecure frequently or voted among the least faithful.
My knee-jerk was mid-life crisis car, though I know there are true enthusiasts out there.0 -
People who can never be alone and jump from one relationship to next.
Always filter their photos.
Can’t admit another person of the same gender is attractive.
Overly PC about everything.

Joint facebook accounts.
I thought this was a myth until I saw one in action.
To be fair, I have seen a joint account that wasn't because of insecurity, though. They just legitimately did not like FB and felt that having a joint account was an exercise in extreme trust, however, they have since left FB because they didn't enjoy the social "nosy" aspect.
Now if I want to talk to them, I have to actually call them,.2 -

Oh.. gotcha, gotcha. I once worked directly for a millionaire business man who had a 911, he treated me almost like a son 👍🏻
Exactly. Can't judge them by what they drive. It might become evident later that they are not an enthusiast, but just using it as a status symbol. I reserve judgement.0 -
People who cut down other people and accuse them of attention seeking. It comes across as very jealous and insecure.7

So many women know this that now you see women gushing over each other instead. In some situations it’s clear that the compliments are only intended to make themselves look secure when they aren’t really.9 -

I agree. I see this not ending well or making people feel like *kitten* 🤣5 -

I was kinda hoping it wouldn't go this way.
I like the not so obvious answers like people who try to always be PC. When I saw this post on a different forum, it got me thinking a lot. More self reflection than putting people down for using filtered selfies and such.4 -

Constantly seeking validation or trying way too hard. There’s a difference between those that are confident & those that over compensate.. doesn’t take long to see the difference!1

I don't really see alot of this. I don't know, maybe I'm blind 🤷♀️ Maybe some need validation because they don't get any at home or don't feel good about themselves. I don't hand out compliments that I don't mean but when I do they're genuine and it makes me feel good to make others feel good. I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes we don't know people and don't know why they do what they do.5 -
I'll just say me.4

Depends. A lot of what a person thinks of as "insecure selfie posting" is not. It's just that some folks are way more secure in themselves and what they look like *or* that they just don't give a *kitten* what others think about them. I think it's quite hard to find the line between the two based only on a selfie or only on online interaction.
In person? Yes, it's way easier to tell.0
