I am wanting to loose the last of 7 pounds before Christmas. I am excited to do this challenge as I had just lost motivation to keep going! Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm joining late, but hoping to use this challenge to get back on track. To be completely honest, its been a real struggle to get motivated again after losing a lot of weight a few years ago. I exercise/workout daily, but still eat too many calories. Too many snacks! Hope this helps get me on track.
Best of luck to everyone.

The last 2 days I've been eating whatever my heart desires. I've got the seasonal cold and when I fall sick I fall off the wagon...bigtime.
It's as if whenever I deviate from my diet plan for whatever reason, I just keep eating till I feel bloated and horrible and then look back and think why did i eat that?
Anyone else struggle with this and any tips would be appreciated. TIA
I get like this too, also I have 2 under 2 so when I am getting no sleep I can not control my eating or get full. I have been over the last 3 weeks trying to work out why my body thinks it needs to do this..... I also wish I had an answer. But after seeing this challenge today it has motivated me. I have tried this week adding L-Glutamine to my protein shake after lunch to try and control my sugar levels. I have noticed this working, as I lost a kilo this week and don’t feel like I have to eat out of control calories. Also have added magnesium in the morning.
Maybe this might help you too.

I want to join too, lost the motivation to work out consistently for the past 2 years. My dream was always to become a body builder, I'm totally a sucker for large muscles😍. Lol. I'm 38 years old have 4 children ages ranging from 20 -8. I work full time as a teacher assistant in the special needs Dept of an elementary school. Nowadays it seems like there's no time to work and I'm always super tired....
I really could use y'all's motivation... Challenge starting weight-195 pounds

10/30- 252.9 - I would assume that has to be some water weight drop because the weekend prior to the 23rd wasn't my greatest showing of self control around margaritas lol, probably realistically closer to 3lbs. My average has been 2-3lbs a week so that would make more sense.

2.3 lbs is a big drop for me. Probably a good amount of water weight since prior to this I was totally off my diet and not counting calories at all. But it’s always encouraging to see a big drop at the start. I’m aiming to lose closer to 1.25 lbs a week though.3 -

Love Christmas/holiday-targeted challenges. I've gotten to my (somewhat arbitrarily determined) goal weight, so this is just for me to keep myself motivated to keep working out and logging my calories. I'm also tracking body fat %, which for me is a better indicator of health at this stage. I have some fat stores in my lower belly and hips that I'd like to whittle down a bit more to look more toned.

I've struggled with this a lot in the past as well, both when I'm sick and when I'm on my period. Recently, I tried doing the inverse when I got sick and got my period the same week. I made a decision to continue to eat only healthy foods and just observe how I felt. The difference was tremendous! My body just felt so much better and more capable of being able to fight off whatever I was struggling with, it was incredible. So perhaps go into it with an observer mindset and commit to eating healthy just to see how you feel? Logging notes in your MFP diary can help, too.0 -
