I am so pleased that I hit my CGW last challenge. This was due, in no small measure to the accountability of posting here week after week, and seeing how hard everyone is working towards better health and fitness.

    Original starting weight: 271.9
    Challenge Starting Weight: 243.8
Challenge Level: 5 stars (24 lbs)
Challenge Goal weight: below 220 (218.8)
    Ultimate goal: 160

Nov 1: 243.8, up from 241.7 2 days ago. I think this is basically some excess water weight after taco night, but I did go out and run yesterday for the first time since school started back up. Was able to start back up with my c25k right where I left off and keep up the pace I had back in August. Until I tripped and fell and scrapped my knee up pretty bad. It hurts every time I move it. I was planning on going running again tomorrow, trying to get back on track, but now I’m not so sure.

Nov 8: 240.2. Down 2.6. Knee is still a problem (large scrape means long heal time) but i’ve made my step goal before leaving school 2 of the 3 days this week, and was super close the 3rd day. In fact, was at 13k today after subbing in art during my prep and running stations in my classes. Hoping to be below 240 by next week.

Nov 15 239.0. Down 4.8lbs this challenge, 1.2 lbs this week. I’ve been being careful not to snack in my car on my commute, which I think has been really helpful. Need to drink more water though. Goal for next week.

I'm a little late in joining but I'm in. These challenges are good for giving me accountability. Last challenge I got derailed during a stressful period but I am ready for a fresh start.

How do I add my weekly progress on my first post? If this is not possible what’s the alternative?

Hi! I'm very sorry for the late response. Unfortunately, you can only make edits to your posts for up to an hour. After that, you can no longer edit them.
To share your progress, simply make a new post with your updated information. You can copy the information from your last post onto your new post, and then add your weight for the new week.

Unfortunately, my scale needs new batteries, as well as a teeny tiny screwdriver to open it up. I thus cannot update my progress until I get around to buying the needed items. Sigh.

Hi my name is Renee, I'm 49 (Mum of 2) and this is my first post.

I lost quite a bit of weight last year and then put it all back on again. So here I am determined to lose the weight again and then take maintenance a lot more seriously.

I'm starting a bit late but I'm committed.

Looking bad, but now down to 217 just 2 days later. Probably water weight. I ate some salty things, baked pita chips 2 days in a row. Was supposed to post on Friday, but was put off by my #. Have been working out. Moving much more. And finally not so sore. Just a low grade sore now. It feels crazy to feel happy even when the number went up!?! Just proud of myself for working hard!
Also, my bathroom is really cold, thinking it may have an effect on my scale. It snowed on Friday.
It could just be excuses too. I had a million of them. Logged my breakfast today and was shocked. Wow, kind of seeing what I am doing to myself. Got a kitchen scale to weigh food if I need to. Surprising to me!

Only lost 3 pounds in the last challenge. I am averaging a pound a month, so not losing extremely fast anymore. Would love to get into my maintenance range by the end of the year, but we will see how it goes. My weigh-in days will be Saturdays.

    Original starting weight: 178
Challenge Starting Weight: 140.7 (10/31 end of last challenge)
    Challenge Level: 1 (5 pounds)
Challenge Goal weight: to be in maintenance 135-138

Nov 1- 141.5 up a bit from Chinese food last night
Nov 2 - 139.7 super stoked! This is a real number to, now I just have to try and hold on to through the weekend!
Nov 9 - 140.7 up from husbands birthday celebration.
Nov 16 - 140.6 not much of a loss, just kind of hanging out. Maybe next week I will get some movement in the right direction

Just a little slower at my age than it used to be, but still so rewarding. I am traveling on the 11th, which will likely set me back. So I'm feeling a little trepidation about my next weigh in, but I'll do my best to recover quickly!
November 13: 188.6 Emotional eating related to health issues and worries. I am going to focus on the positive and give it my very best efforts!
November 20: 184.6 I worked hard this week. Especially in the calorie burning category. I am trying not to let things get to me in regards to my test results. Still waiting for more news since the last call 1 week ago today. No news is good news, right?
