It's been surprisingly easy to not snack this week, I am not sure why, I am so used to white knuckling it. Could be that I've settled into the diet. We'll see if my planned dessert for Christmas ruins disturbs that calm, I hope not!3 -

You all are amazing! We'll have a really good start into the new year, feeling strong and knowing we are in control of our intake. The same way as when we start a new day fresh and feeling confident, because we had a good evening before! :flowerforyou:-all

What happened was I go up in the night to get involved with some stockings that were hung by the chemeny with care. I had to make sure they were properly filled and some how some of the items filled my mouth as well.3 -

Guess I ate enough on Christmas to not snack in the night:)3 -

Christmas Eve and Christmas got the better of me. I am going to try to not succumb to late night snacking the next five days. We will deal with New Year's Eve when it gets here. First I will focus on these in between days.3 -

Happy that I had ‘some’ type of control during all the meals Christmas Day (& the wine 😉), unfortunately I ‘snuck’ 1 small cookie just before going to bed, nobody knew except me, but I knew 😠! Reset and restart tonight!

I have reverted back to my old habits of LNSing over the last couple of months. I am not sure how to get myself back on track. I'm hoping this will pass, but I'm not sure that hoping is much of a strategy.4 -

Tonight, instead of relaxing with food I will: bullet journal/calligraphy practice.
Great thread, I hope this continues in January or it'll start new!3 -

@healingnurtrer There should be a continuation forum posted by the end of the month for January. I've been in this group a couple of years so it's been active for at least that long. Good luck to you!3 -

Looks like the best simplest most effective idea for a group but can’t find how to add myself?0

Unfortunately, the only streak I am on is 2 straight for LNS. Only consolation was last night’s snacking was 3 low salt triscuits and .5 Oz of goat cheese. Much better than in the past where I would mindlessly consume bowls of ice cream or chunks of cheddar!3 -
@Tolamarie sorry you are struggling! Do what you are doing by keeping up your great effort to try and on the weak nights, try to have a low snack ready. That’s what I did last night as I was just getting miserable and resentful, which is not what we need, so I gave myself permission BUT insisted it be small and healthier than in the past. Striving for perfection can add extra stress and for most of us eventual failure, ah, but improvement, now there is something we all can attain. Good luck!2

Sticking with it, through all times. But you know that by now. I'm sure it's just a phase - can you find what is it that triggers it and try to remove the stress factor or work through that first? Maybe set the bar higher, to give you a boost of confidence? You can do it, we're in this together!
