Thanks for all the well wishes about the new job! I'm going to be a full time Aldi associate. It's a super simple job where I'm not likely to get beat up. Plus it'll give me a lot of time on my feet, moving around so I'll get more steps and lifting and things in. I'm pretty excited.
Congrats on the new job!
I completely understand the appeal of a job you can start when you get there and stop thinking about at the end of your shift.
I'm so glad you are able to change something you wanted to! YAY! *cheers all 'round*

Itโs interesting reading your comments on the weather - what variations we have! Skye has seen a lot of wind and rain but the light is fantastic when the sun does manage to peep through - navy sea, golden land and bright white boats plus rainbows!7 -

Nothing much to report except that I'm so freaking tired even though I was asleep by like 8 pm last night. Today is kind of my Friday as it's my last day of in-school learning for the week. Tomorrow we have virtual learning which I will have to be in and out of bc Matt has a pretty important doctor's appt at 11. I have to call the office today though bc I'm not sure which office it's at. When they left the voicemail about the confirmation it said a different office then the one I thought it was at. That office is like 20 miles away. I really don't feel like traveling all the way there.
Ummmm... Monday I stepped on the scale and it read 213.8 I've been weighing myself daily for the last four days and I've lost 3.8 pounds! I know it's all water weight but I'm totally taking that as a win! Lol. I know that it's probably going to stall after today but that's okay. It's a great way to start the day seeing the numbers down like that. Lol
Okay onto some goals!

@HEGoddard0928 I really did enjoy the food categories. I think it really helped me figure out how to assess what foods were "good" vs "bad" - if we're gonna use those terms. It's a good program - and I do believe it doing whatever helps support the move forward! :-)
I'm having a hard time hitting my 120 grams of Protein - does anyone have tips for packing protein into a diet without packing in fat at the same time. I am hoping to not have to eat 3 meals of 4oz of grilled chicken breasts each day!!4 -

Finding it hard to make the best food choices this week, I have left overs and food going out of date that should be eaten. I'm not going to waste it but sometimes it means more calories than I hoped for. It's the usual story of shopping for food when you live alone, and the larger package sizes are relatively cheaper than the small sizes. Or sometimes there are no smaller sizes, only large. I'm good at batch cooking and freezing, but sometimes I don't get it quite right.3 -

@sviers13 - That is how I feel about the weight loss, that ladder depiction is perfect.
@littleblackskirt - I end up throwing out so much food that I buy for my husband and he doesn't eat before it goes bad. It just makes me angry. If i bought only things we both would eat it might not happen as often.
Just waiting for my ride to work, my coworker is a wonderful lady and picks me up and drops me off most days so that Rodger can have the car at home.
When I get home tonight our daughter's puppy will be here, we are keeping her, the dog, for the weekend.
It should be fun. I haven't had a puppy since I was a little girl.
Have a great day everyone.6 -

Covid-19Crazy situation here. Our 4 week circuit breaker lockdown ended today. However, we go back into harder lockdown next Friday for at least 2 weeks as cases/deaths are still rising in Northern Ireland. So, of course, people will go bananas for the next week. The 4 weeks did not have the hoped for effect, because too many people are not taking the situation seriously enough.

I'm not going to log today. I woke really early and instead of getting up I fell back asleep and now I'm really tired. Now that my holiday let has been closed down I have "free" Saturdays, so I thought I'd treat my house to a professional clean today. I'll strip the bed (and Mum's bed) clean the bathroom and kitchen, and do little repair jobs. It will be nicer than work as I'll have time for tea breaks lol.
