02/17 - 368.4 - A minor bounce back after a significant drop. Not a problem! Still on the downward trajectory. And a second day on the eliptical for 45 minutes. MFP says 1124 calories burned. I suspect it is only about a 1/3 of that... although still a decent aerobic workout.
02/18 - 368.2 - right direction again. Didn't make it to the gym yet since interview is early this afternoon. Slightly nervous/stressed.
02/19 - 366.6 - Got to the gym this morning. Feel pretty energized. Interview went well yesterday, but still applying to others. DTA (don't trust anyone). Never count on any promises. #cynical
02/20 - 369.6 - Not concerned about the uptick. Didn't go to the gym this morning, but out for a short walk. Trying to get a focus on kettlebell and weights.
02/21 - 370.2 - Not sure why the uptick again. Each time I checked the scale, it said I was gaining. But I hadn't had anything except for one cup of coffee. Weird
02/22 - 369.8 - Finally back in the right direction.

Day/Weight/Comment:
02/17: DNW; Sunday info: 1619 steps, 1 of 12, 7h50m (86); Sunday was a completely lazy day at my Uncle’s house. I slept in and never actually got out of my pajama’s. I snacked most of the day and really didn’t record much. We had a decent lunch and leftover Mexican for dinner.
02/18: 203.6 (+2.9); Monday info: 3565 steps, 4 of 12, 6h39m (79); Monday was the day to drive home as our mini-vacation was over. Unfortunately, I forgot to track anything before midnight so I lost my 29 day streak. Mom and I tried to eat smart while traveling. I was exhausted and went to bed early but had a blood sugar drop before I fell asleep so I crammed some peanuts and OJ to help that out. Wasn’t the best ending to my day.
02/19: 202.8 (-0.8); Tuesday info: 5604 steps, 7 of 12, 5h35m (80); Tuesday i was back at work and it was great to be back into a routine. Unfortunately I was totally exhausted. I kept to my calories much, much better with my routine back in place. Now to pack my bags to dog sit at my cousin’s house. This might be a challenge at staying on track.
02/20: dog-sitting=DNW; Wednesday info: 6365 steps, 5 of 12, 6h1m (82); So I had a very stressful Wednesday at work. I got into a tiff with a co-worker and was so furious that I seeing red by 3pm. I had to get groceries after work before heading to my cousin’s house to dog-sit so, I made a couple poor purchases (Twinkies & Cheetos) and went over my calories before bed. Good news was I had a 2 and a half hour telephone call with a very dear friend which made all my anger go away. Thursday is a new day and it will be better.
02/21: dog-sitting (weigh at work)=200.4 (-2.4); Thursday info: 5745 steps, 6 of 12, 6h17m (78); Thursday was a good day at work and at my cousin’s house. I did not go over on my calories like I was afraid that I would. I could have moved more. It wasn’t too bad outside and my cousin lives in a housing development so I could have gone out around the neighborhood for more steps.
02/22: dog-sitting=DNW; Friday info: 4416 steps, 5 of 12, 7h9m (76); Friday was a bit of whirlwind. I ended up getting Chipotle after work and was on track to finish under my calorie goal and then I went off the rails before bedtime. I do have the barn to look forward to tomorrow and lots of riding/exercise. That should make up for it.

Day | Weight | Change | Comment
02/17 | DNW | Weekend away played havoc with my routine.
02/18 | 134.8kg | +0.5kg | So disappointed in myself. I think I am self-sabotaging and I don't want to do that again. I am tracking my calories now - not making the best food choices but tracking nonetheless. I am making a conscious effort to get intentional exercise. I know this is most likely just a blip but I will admit my heart sank a little seeing that number on the scale this morning. I must not let this get me down. I must have perseverance.
02/19 | 135.3kg | +0.5kg | I think I'm broken! Didn't think I'd had that much sodium (and definitely not that many calories!) but here I am up 1kg in two days. Must be seriously retaining water, but why - I don't know! I ate around maintenance level yesterday, but sodium was pretty much bang on target, so I don't think that's the culprit this time. Who knows?!
02/20 | 135.0kg | -0.3kg | Ok I'm glad to see this starting to move in the right direction. Didn't have a great day with nutrition, but did get some HIIT in so torched a few calories there. My stationary bike arrived yesterday so I set that up last night (with a little help from hubby because OMG that thing is H-E-A-V-Y!). Looking forward to being able to get a good, low impact calorie burn right at home - and hubby has been very supportive, even setting me up with a shelf for a TV and AppleTV so I can watch something while working out. He even cleaned the mouse-infected office-turned-gym for me - he's a keeper, for sure! Unfortunately he saw his doctor yesterday to get some blood test results and confirmed that he has Type 2 diabetes (which we had suspected for a while but trying to convince him to see someone about it has been an ongoing battle!). He will start medication today and no doubt resist any diet changes I try to make! Which is ok for now, we are hoping that the medication will help him to have more energy and no longer fall asleep after meals - we can work on rebuilding his health later on!
02/21 | 134.5kg | -0.5kg | Yes! Obviously I knew the excess weight was water weight that would eventually drop off, but it's still discouraging to see the higher numbers on the scale. I have been a little more strict with myself (though not enough) the last couple of days and focused on getting some good workouts in (albeit short ones as I don't have the time in my day for long workouts!). My new bike is great, I jumped on for 10 mins last night while hubby ducked out to pick up dinner. Feeling a little more positive today and ready to keep working at it!
02/22 | 133.6kg | -0.9kg | So either I am broken or my scale is broken! I had a terrible day for nutrition but drank bucketloads of water as I was called in for a hydration test at work. I always drink a litre of water before work in case I am flagged for a test, so I knew I’d pass, but you only have an hour to produce a sample for them to test so I had to guzzle a lot more water to get there! That’s the only thing I can think would make a difference as I did no exercise yesterday.
Today I had parkrun so enjoyed a 5km walk. Enjoyed is a facetious term in this instance - I got a huge blister before the halfway point and ended up walking on the back of my shoe for the last third of it. I would have turned around about 1.5km in, but I was the tail walker so I had to walk the whole course! Drinking lots of water today so hopefully this weight level will stick around!
02/23 133.6kg | No change | continues to drink a lot of water after Parkrun, and otherwise just had a relaxed day. Did have some chocolate but didn’t overdo it.

69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Now I'm waiting to get my hip fixed. Hip Doc said surgery in April. Ugh! I can't do any walking or biking...both kill me. I see my personal trainer three times a week. She is taking it very slow and easy with me.
I have March 10th as my hip surgery date...much better than April!

Day/Weight/Comment
02/17 133.4 - great drop to start round with, 9 miles walked yesterday, 847 calories in credit & all macros in green. Had delicious 3 course Sunday roast lunch with loads of veggies a little later in the day than usual, felt so satisfied afterwards that wasn't hungry for evening meal & so just skipped it, I feel this really helped with drop so may bounce back tomorrow.
02/18 133.8 – ok with this - was hoping to stay under 134. 10.89 miles walked yesterday, 797 calories in credit, all macros in green.
02/19 133.8- 9.8 miles walked yesterday. 71 calories in credit, but 20 carbs & 15 fat over – went out for brunch with my sisters, had bacon so sodium higher than normal for me, but still in macro limit.
02/21 133.8 – 9.7 miles walked yesterday. 524 calories in credit all other macros in green.
02/22 133 – yes!!! No walking yesterday due to persistent rain and 90 minute each day journey each way to spend quality time with DD and 2 delightful little DGS hence calories 161 & carbs 20 over.
02/23 133 – 9.39 miles walked, 301 carbs in credit, 11 carbs over.
02/24 134 – that's last nights pizza. 8.16 miles walked, 81 calories in credit, 44 carbs over. Catch up on posts later as driving up 2 hours to spend day with family.

Round 105
Age 53-5'2"
Starting Weight: 154 lbs
Round Goal Weight: 152 lbs
02/17:154
02/18:154-Good day, kept within my calorie limits and took a brisk walk.
02/19:153-I've been using an old scale that only weighs in whole numbers. Very frustrating because I tend to lose in tiny increments, so I ordered a new scale yesterday. Stuck to my calorie allotment and got a few miles in on my stationary bike. I had pneumonia a few weeks ago so I still tire easily, but I'm getting better each day.
02/20: 153.6-(New scale) Busy day, stayed within calories but didn't get any exercise. Our new home gym was delivered. Now we need to assemble it..yikes! I live in the country, 20 miles from the nearest city, and I watch my grandchildren 5 days a week so it's hard for me to get to a gym to work out. I have a stationary bike, treadmill, and now the home gym should help me get a full workout at home.
02/21: 153.4-Ok, this new scale weighs one pound more than my old scale. I weigh 152 on my old scale so I know I have lost a couple pounds this round. I'm happy with it though, I normally lose a few pounds my first week of dieting. I do need to drink more water so I'm going to work on that today.
02/22: 153.4
02/23: 152.8-I lost a little more than usual. I stuck to my 1200 calorie a day allotment but it was hard, I was hungry yesterday. I think Ill try to eat more protein today.

Day/Weight/Comment
2/17 166.4lbs, 36.1%bf; 8h11m/92 - back at it! Had a good workout and feel so much better. Still have a kidney stone that will have to pass at some point, but I feel so much better now that I'm off all the meds.
2/18 163.0lbs, 35.2%bf; 7h4m/79 - didn't expect that kind of drop, but I will take it. Basically back to where I was when my kidney went up.
2/19 163.6lbs, 35.4%bf; 6h25m/80 - considering the DOMS and my usual habit of bouncing back up after a drop, this is not unexpected.
2/20 162.2lbs, 35.0%bf; 6h57m/81 - good workout yesterday, and kept my eating in line. Not sure why I am waking up in the middle of the night, tho... awake for an hour or more, then don't want to get up with the alarm.
2/21 161.8lbs, 34.9%bf; 5h42m/78 - worst sleep in a while, but worth it... had dinner with my sister and saw some live comedy.
2/22
2/23 161.2lbs, 34.7%bf; 6h49m/85 - still can't figure the sleep out, but had a good day, a good workout, and a nice night.
2/24 160.4lbs, 34.5%bf; 8h10m/87 - better, but still woke up around 4 and didn't fall asleep again until after 5. Plus, suuuper weird dreams. Don't feel rested. Got a lot going on today, so hopefully I will sack out well tonight.

Gloomy Monday here, but I’m going to a native plant talk this evening — yay!
2/18 - 180.4
Not a big surprise. I haven’t completely expelled the snack monster, though my calories are consistently under maintenance, and I know some of this is salt (Triscuits). Today I start over!

Dinner party tonight at friends’ house, so I’ve had a decent breakfast and will have a light lunch. I still don’t expect any progress tomorrow, but I do look forward to conversation and laughter tonight. Have a great weekend, all!
2/23 - 181
As expected. But it’s okay — I had a lovely time with great friends, and other than a small piece of really good cake, it was healthy food. Onward! I still think I can get back to my start weight for the round by Wed. 🏃🏽♀️

Round 105, 22nd Round for Me
Starting Weight: 277.1 lbs
Goal Weight: 275.1 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
02/17: 279.0 lbs (+1.9) … homemade pizza the night before did me in.
02/18: 279.1 lbs (+0.1) … was home for President’s Day and a bit too snacky. Ate more around maintenance so I didn’t see any recovery from my pizza water weight gain. That’ll come with time (and eating better today).
02/19: 278.1 lbs (-1.0) … ate reasonably yesterday, if not super light.
02/20: 279.4 lbs (+1.3)
02/21: 277.7 lbs (-1.7) … this week feels like a roller coaster.
02/22: 276.4 lbs (-1.3) … pretty happy this morning. This is my first new low since the beginning of the month. Just goes to show what being back on track fully for a couple days can do.
02/23: 275.3 lbs (-1.1) … nice progress these last few days. Hopefully I can hold onto it for the remainder of the round.

02/23 - 147.5 - I expected an increase due to my situation, but it still stings. I might try to do some seated exercises just to get more movement in. I'm sure there's something I can do to keep moving a little bit and help keep the weight down. Sad thing is that I barely ate yesterday! Less than normal and still gained because I sat on my butt all day. I think that will be the most frustrating part. I guess abs and arms are going to get a lot more attention these next couple of weeks until I can be more mobile. Sorry for ranting, its all really frustrating. I'm bored out of my mind, too, which isn't helping me. Focusing on water and general movement, moreso than yesterday at least. I am DETERMINED to attack today much more positively than it started out. This could've been like last time I tore everything in my ankle and it took 13 months before I could walk without crutches or a boot, just a small brace. I'm fortunate in that regard. I have a full week of work this week which will get me out of the house and moving a bit more (especially if I go to the gym at work -- plenty to do upper body to stay active). I can still drive and get around, though inconvenient, so I don't need to ruin other's days taking care of me. The pain is very minimal, if any pain at all. I have mobility of my ankle back so it will not heal in an unfavorable position. All good things I am focusing on being thankful for today. If nothing else, my mindset will get me through the slight gain and hopefully help me drop back down! At least I have not popped back up to the 150s and that is my primary goal until I can go back to normal life.

02/26
Previous Day's Comments02/17 - The downward trend from last round continues after resuming full meals. I'll take this slower, but healthier, downward movement very happily. I'm coming down to the last 7-8lbs and I know I have to be careful to lose fat, not muscle. Only workout I did this weekend was cleaning/packing/organizing so not much at all. Depending on how my days go, I'll try to get in the little gym here at work (though timing will be hard as maintenance works the same hours and its always crowded before/after work. Maybe an alternate lunch time to everyone else?)
02/18 - Had a late dinner as I was out running errands with my neighbor lady. Other neighbor made a pot roast and it was a little high in sodium due to the tenderizing method he used. Traveling to KCMO today for work so water will probably not be the greatest but I will do my best. Not very many options to stop to go between KCMO and home so I have to time it right. Will catch up on posts tonight or tomorrow morning!
02/19 - I chuuuuugged water last night to try to get a little closer to water goals. I didn't have much at all (maybe 25-30oz total). Today I'm back at my normal work location and I have to give blood at 10. Hopefully my iron is okay. I had steak last night but I'll have to break my fast early and have some thing here in a short bit to be sure I'm good to go. Anyway, water is going to be super important today between dehydration yesterday and giving blood today. I drank some ginger-lemon tea and added some cinnamon to help with the bloat. I'm going to try to do this more often as it really helped this morning. I FEEL a little bloated, but I don't look it so much which was a boost I needed this morning. Yesterday's lunch was really heavy on me and left me feeling and looking super bloated. Work has a new wellness challenge for the next 4 weeks that started Monday. 1 point for each accomplishment: 5 servings fruit/veg, 7+hours sleep, 20+ min exercise, 10+ min relaxation. Anybody who has 20+ points at the end of the week (submit info Monday) is entered to win a fitbit (2 people drawn per week). So I had double side salad and double fruit salad with lunch on top of the chicken. It was a lot of food for one sitting but I know the fruit and salad weren't high in cals, the chicken was (Chik-fil-a strips, no sauce) and a cookie, of course. No self control there... Then last night my steak was with a side of grilled mini sweet peppers. I'm going for 3-4 servings veg and 1-2 servings fruit if I can. Don't know how I'll manage today... Don't have too many options to bring to work and don't want to go grocery shopping when I have so much food to eat or give away before moving. Did double yoga - easy YWA one for back pain last night I consider "relaxation" and another YWA for "Yoga Belly" which was a little more intense and got my heart rate up as "exercise"
02/20 - Bouncy, bouncy. The food truck was here yesterday -- they've been broken down and unable to come out for several months. Its a local classic so getting a burger was a MUST before I leave (never had one before). Drank a TON of water yesterday. Went over my goal, just didn't drink a lot the couple hours before bed. Super thirsty this morning so more chugging away! Yesterday I didn't have coffee and instead drank my ginger lemon tea. I think I might do that today. Seems to be helping (even if its just mentally) with feeling super bloated (and boy do I today despite 3 cups of the stuff yesterday!) Hit all my Wellness Challenge goals except fruit/veg. I had a cup of juice after blood donation (100% pure and 6oz qualifies as a serving). Other than that, I fell off. Tonight, since I'll be home and not running around like crazy, I'll try to make some of my frozen veggies so they're easier access when I'm being lazy. They need to get eaten in the next 3 weeks anyway...
02/21 - So I fell yesterday. Rolled my ankle under me and fell on top of it. Its the same ankle I tore tendons and ligaments in almost 8 years ago and still have instability in it. Also the leg with the numbness from my back injury -- recipe for disaster. It just gave out, walking on an even surface in the hallway. Unfortunately I hit the wall and slid straight down instead of falling sideways. I might not have done so much damage if I was able to fall sideways. Neighbor took me to urgent care. Not likely broken, but couldn't rule out fracture. They didn't have xray on site (who has an urgent care open until 7 and sends the xray tech home at 6?!) so I have to go back for xrays today. Neighbor had an orthopedic brace and crutches so she loaned them to me when she took me to urgent care last night. Couldn't cancel my tax appt so still have to hobble into that, too. At least I know how to get up and down stairs from experience. And I'm pretty dang solid on crutches even after all these years. Food will be interesting as now cooking is kinda out of the question. At least I have leftover homemade stir fry from last night for at least one meal today.
02/22 - Apparently I like bouncing between these two numbers a lot! Neighbor (who has been playing mommy) took me out to dinner last night so I know the bump up was from that. I broke my fast early with a fairly large meal (for me) and I'm glad I did, since dinner was the next opportunity to eat. Also had my water bottle full of coffee (since it can be sealed to go in a backpack unlike my coffee mugs) was all I had until about 530... Was stuck in doc's office and no water ): Swelling has gone down, as has bruising (still there, just not as bright/puffy). Haven't really been in pain except occasional random throbbing pain that lasts a few seconds and is gone. Or if I hit it/put any kind of weight on it (if I lose balance I have put my toes down to help regain). Nothing intolerable, just uncomfortable pain. I'm thankful it happened to the leg that I have numbness in from my back because I imagine that's what has been keeping me from feeling the worst of it. I only have 800mg ibuprofen for pain/swelling (I don't need for pain, but take for swelling because I want this to be OVER). Mama taking me to run my errands today since she doesn't want me going it alone. I can, but I appreciate having the company and someone there to help with the more complicated tasks. I am super sad about missing out on yoga, though. And going on walks since this weekend is super nice for February in Kansas.

We ALL have good rounds and bad but that is part of life. Don’t stay away, stay accountable. We don’t judge, we support.-Jpv,2/13/19
What we need to succeed is a sustainable way of eating, not a DIET we go on and off.
This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.

2/17 121.0 Moscato on Saturday night was the cause of increase on 2/16. OMAD yesterday and only 1/2 glass of champagne at brunch. Sewing today with Aimee and Amy!
2/18 121.0 Today is my birthday!
2/19 120.0 Red Lobster for OMAD yesterday -certainly not what it used to be. Art quilts and bingo today.
2/20 121.0 Fried chicken last night at bingo.
2/21 120.0 Sweet Tomatoes for lunch today. Live music tonight.
2/22 120.0 After salad for lunch yesterday I made a burger for dinner and after enjoyed pork rind nachos.
2/23 121.5 Tried a new to me Mexican place that everyone raves about. Ate all of the carbs so this increase is not a surprise. Half of my chimi left for today so tomorrow may be up also. Shrug!7 -

OSW 382.0
RSW 257.8
2/17 – 257.2
2/18 – 257.4
2/19 – 257.8 I honestly don’t know and it’s a little frustrating. I’m just going to stay on track and hope for the best. Though I am considering getting into a fitness routine verses the whatever, whenever I’ve been doing for a while. I’m also considering a new meal plan, if I can get my diary to work to see how the calories work out. It’s not too different from what I do now, but adds in more fruits and vegetables, the later of which is often lacking for me.
2/20 – 257.4 After arriving late last month tom has decided to arrive early this month. At least I finally know what’s been causing the stall. At least I hope that’s it. As tom progresses and goes I hope to see new lows.
2/21 – 256.2 Back in the right direction.
2/22 – 254.4 I went out to lunch with my husband yesterday but stayed well within my calories and plan. Since I was driving around a bit to get errands done, I got an activity rest day that was needed.
2/23 – 254.8 I’m not surprised to have a minor bounce after such a big drop. It’s pretty normal for me.
