Hi. My name is Trina.
Still trying to get back on the losing track. The maintenance rut I was stuck in over the fall is looking good in retrospect, as now I seem to be stuck in the creeping gain rut! Let's do it!

02/17 - 142
02/18 - 143 Yesterday I just ate...all the chocolate. I'm back to being good today. I was just irritated at that 142 and belatedly realized it might have been DOMS as much as anything. Hoping to see some better results this round. But I did not start well!
02/19 - 141 Back to reasonable eating yesterday. Adding in some strength training with cardio.
02/20 - 141 Fancy dinner out last night...so not too bad.
02/21 - 140.5 Mostly ate ok yesterday. Did a strength video, but it was raining all day, so no walk.
02/22 - 140 -- I've been doing strength training videos and walking this week. I don't know if it is that, or the radiation...but boy am I tired!
02/23 - 142 -- Restaurant tasting event last night. I exercised a ton before going, but probably ate back all those calories and a few more. Didn't try to parse it all out! This should hopefully just be a temporary blip up.
02/24 - 141 -- It's always slower going down than going up.
02/25 - 142.5 -- Snacky yesterday, but still under. I'm not sure why I can't make this work!
02/26 - 141.5

69 years old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Now I'm waiting to get my hip fixed. Hip Doc said surgery in April. Ugh! I can't do any walking or biking...both kill me. I see my personal trainer three times a week. She is taking it very slow and easy with me.
I have March 10th as my hip surgery date...much better than April!

Round 105 – Between vacation ending and dog-sitting at my cousin’s house for 4 nights, this one might be stressful. I need to stick with it.

Day/Weight/Comment:
02/17: DNW; Sunday info: 1619 steps, 1 of 12, 7h50m (86); Sunday was a completely lazy day at my Uncle’s house. I slept in and never actually got out of my pajama’s. I snacked most of the day and really didn’t record much. We had a decent lunch and leftover Mexican for dinner.
02/18: 203.6 (+2.9); Monday info: 3565 steps, 4 of 12, 6h39m (79); Monday was the day to drive home as our mini-vacation was over. Unfortunately, I forgot to track anything before midnight so I lost my 29 day streak. Mom and I tried to eat smart while traveling. I was exhausted and went to bed early but had a blood sugar drop before I fell asleep so I crammed some peanuts and OJ to help that out. Wasn’t the best ending to my day.
02/19: 202.8 (-0.8); Tuesday info: 5604 steps, 7 of 12, 5h35m (80); Tuesday i was back at work and it was great to be back into a routine. Unfortunately I was totally exhausted. I kept to my calories much, much better with my routine back in place. Now to pack my bags to dog sit at my cousin’s house. This might be a challenge at staying on track.
02/20: dog-sitting=DNW; Wednesday info: 6365 steps, 5 of 12, 6h1m (82); So I had a very stressful Wednesday at work. I got into a tiff with a co-worker and was so furious that I seeing red by 3pm. I had to get groceries after work before heading to my cousin’s house to dog-sit so, I made a couple poor purchases (Twinkies & Cheetos) and went over my calories before bed. Good news was I had a 2 and a half hour telephone call with a very dear friend which made all my anger go away. Thursday is a new day and it will be better.
02/21: dog-sitting (weigh at work)=200.4 (-2.4); Thursday info: 5745 steps, 6 of 12, 6h17m (78); Thursday was a good day at work and at my cousin’s house. I did not go over on my calories like I was afraid that I would. I could have moved more. It wasn’t too bad outside and my cousin lives in a housing development so I could have gone out around the neighborhood for more steps.
02/22: dog-sitting=DNW; Friday info: 4416 steps, 5 of 12, 7h9m (76); Friday was a bit of whirlwind. I ended up getting Chipotle after work and was on track to finish under my calorie goal and then I went off the rails before bedtime. I do have the barn to look forward to tomorrow and lots of riding/exercise. That should make up for it.
02/23: 201.1 (+0.4); Saturday info: 10795 steps, 8 of 12, 9h19m (87); Saturday was barn day!!!! I rode Lego the whole time. He was a handful and had tons of energy so while others rode 2, I just rode him. Alas I had McDonalds instead of Wendy’s for lunch and kinda snacked most of the afternoon after I got home. Cousin came home a day early so I got to move back to my house.
02/24: 202.7 (+1.6); Sunday info: 1111 steps, 0 of 12, 6h26m (79); Sunday it was absolutely freezing so I had no desire to do anything. I slept in and ate almost all day. Typical Sunday for me. When I go off the rails, I go wayyyyy off!
02/25: 202.2; Monday info: 5642 steps, 7 of 12, 5h28m (76); Monday’s at work suck. That’s about all I can remember. I’m 4 days behind in logging so I am trying to do a lot of catch up. My mom had an abdominal CT scan and by the time I got home from work, our mutual PCP called her and made an urgent appt for the next day to discuss. She has a large mass in abdomen (5x6x5in). Unfortunately, without looking up any of the words in her CT results, I knew enough medically to know we might be dealing with cancer (necrosis, sarcoma, metastatic lesion). Then apparently my dad had had an ultrasound of his abdomen and he has an enlarged aorta. He has a cardiologist appt coming up on Monday. Ugh!
02/26: DNW; Tuesday info: 5240 steps, 7 of 12, 5h19m (77); Tuesday I was an absolute hot mess at work. I was crying at the drop of a hat. I am an only child and single to boot. I am not ready to deal with my parents having life-threatening medical issues. My mom is already the main caregiver for her almost 98 year old mother (who thankfully is back living on her own). I am going to be attending all of my mom’s doctors appts and we’ll have to find out if anyone can help with Grandma as my dad is in charge of getting my cousin’s 2 girls to/from school. (Can there be anything MORE going on?!?!?) Mom has a surgical oncologist consult on Wednesday of next week. I’m pretty sure I quit caring about the food going into my mouth as of this point. I was just done.

@SarahG626 I’m so sorry to hear of everything you are dealing with. I was around your age when we were dealing with similar issues. Try to be mindful of your eating but most importantly, be mindful of your mental health. About a year after the last of 9 family deaths and one wedding in 9 months, I realized I was depressed and asked for help. It’s not easy but you can do it! We’re all here to help! Hugs1
