Round 101 -1.9 lbs
Round 102 -1.5 lbs
Round 103 +2.5 lbs
Round 104 -2.6 lbs
Round 105 Goals: IF: >16hrs, 7 out of 10 days; Calories: <1500; H20:: >64oz; Exercise: Anything, just 8 out of 10 days; Veg/Fruit: at least 4/1
02/16: 174.9 (end of round 104)
02/17: 174.6
02/18: 174.1
02/19: 173.8
02/20: DNW - Scale won't move above 0 and I just put in new battery a week ago. Going to buy a new one today. 2/21 - Ended up that it wasn't broken. It was just me throwing it off-kilter by barely getting on it and jumping off to see around what my weight was going to be before actually weighing
02/21: 174.7 A normal fluctuation OR most likely a bad day yesterday. So, take every goal above and throw them all away and that was me yesterday I also hurt my back snow shoveling and today will be 3 days that I can't row or do any free-weights (it's much better today though!), but I CAN eat right and drink lots of water. Have a great weekend!
02/22: DNW - My back is better and I'm going to try rowing today. Exercise is what keeps me on track with everything else - especially when I row in the mornings. Not a good day yesterday. Going to catch this before it goes off the rails. I'm not weighing for a few days because it takes all my motivation away when it's not a normal fluctuation but because of my bad choices. Going to try to hit my lowest - 173.8 - again, by end of round!
02/23: DNW
02/24: DNW
02/25: DNW
02/26: 174.3 - 3 very bad days followed by 3 really good days with less than 1200 calories, rowed each day and drank a lot of water. Ended up down .6. Ready to take the momentum of the last 3 days into the next round and hopefully back into the 173's, or even better, 172's!
Short-term goal - back into the 160's!

02/26 - Act: 146.6 Trend: 147.1 - Managed to stay in the 146.x range and my trend continued downward for the round-- all good things. TOM should be arriving any day now. Between lack of water yesterday and some extra dairy I had (stupid lactose sensitivity), I'm already bloated and retaining plenty of water. TOM certainly isn't helping in that regard. Back to work today (yay!) and ortho this afternoon to see what next steps are. Managed to pack most of my kitchen from my butt, minus some pots and pans for 2 weeks of eating. Happy I can still manage to get some packing done (and that I started with the large items). Plus, it keeps me a little active and distracted so I'm not terribly bored and don't feel so fat and lazy as I do sitting on the couch all day. 1-2 days of that is fine, but nothing more or I start to go stir crazy!
Previous Day's Comments02/17 - The downward trend from last round continues after resuming full meals. I'll take this slower, but healthier, downward movement very happily. I'm coming down to the last 7-8lbs and I know I have to be careful to lose fat, not muscle. Only workout I did this weekend was cleaning/packing/organizing so not much at all. Depending on how my days go, I'll try to get in the little gym here at work (though timing will be hard as maintenance works the same hours and its always crowded before/after work. Maybe an alternate lunch time to everyone else?)
02/18 - Had a late dinner as I was out running errands with my neighbor lady. Other neighbor made a pot roast and it was a little high in sodium due to the tenderizing method he used. Traveling to KCMO today for work so water will probably not be the greatest but I will do my best. Not very many options to stop to go between KCMO and home so I have to time it right. Will catch up on posts tonight or tomorrow morning!
02/19 - I chuuuuugged water last night to try to get a little closer to water goals. I didn't have much at all (maybe 25-30oz total). Today I'm back at my normal work location and I have to give blood at 10. Hopefully my iron is okay. I had steak last night but I'll have to break my fast early and have some thing here in a short bit to be sure I'm good to go. Anyway, water is going to be super important today between dehydration yesterday and giving blood today. I drank some ginger-lemon tea and added some cinnamon to help with the bloat. I'm going to try to do this more often as it really helped this morning. I FEEL a little bloated, but I don't look it so much which was a boost I needed this morning. Yesterday's lunch was really heavy on me and left me feeling and looking super bloated. Work has a new wellness challenge for the next 4 weeks that started Monday. 1 point for each accomplishment: 5 servings fruit/veg, 7+hours sleep, 20+ min exercise, 10+ min relaxation. Anybody who has 20+ points at the end of the week (submit info Monday) is entered to win a fitbit (2 people drawn per week). So I had double side salad and double fruit salad with lunch on top of the chicken. It was a lot of food for one sitting but I know the fruit and salad weren't high in cals, the chicken was (Chik-fil-a strips, no sauce) and a cookie, of course. No self control there... Then last night my steak was with a side of grilled mini sweet peppers. I'm going for 3-4 servings veg and 1-2 servings fruit if I can. Don't know how I'll manage today... Don't have too many options to bring to work and don't want to go grocery shopping when I have so much food to eat or give away before moving. Did double yoga - easy YWA one for back pain last night I consider "relaxation" and another YWA for "Yoga Belly" which was a little more intense and got my heart rate up as "exercise"
02/20 - Bouncy, bouncy. The food truck was here yesterday -- they've been broken down and unable to come out for several months. Its a local classic so getting a burger was a MUST before I leave (never had one before). Drank a TON of water yesterday. Went over my goal, just didn't drink a lot the couple hours before bed. Super thirsty this morning so more chugging away! Yesterday I didn't have coffee and instead drank my ginger lemon tea. I think I might do that today. Seems to be helping (even if its just mentally) with feeling super bloated (and boy do I today despite 3 cups of the stuff yesterday!) Hit all my Wellness Challenge goals except fruit/veg. I had a cup of juice after blood donation (100% pure and 6oz qualifies as a serving). Other than that, I fell off. Tonight, since I'll be home and not running around like crazy, I'll try to make some of my frozen veggies so they're easier access when I'm being lazy. They need to get eaten in the next 3 weeks anyway...
02/21 - So I fell yesterday. Rolled my ankle under me and fell on top of it. Its the same ankle I tore tendons and ligaments in almost 8 years ago and still have instability in it. Also the leg with the numbness from my back injury -- recipe for disaster. It just gave out, walking on an even surface in the hallway. Unfortunately I hit the wall and slid straight down instead of falling sideways. I might not have done so much damage if I was able to fall sideways. Neighbor took me to urgent care. Not likely broken, but couldn't rule out fracture. They didn't have xray on site (who has an urgent care open until 7 and sends the xray tech home at 6?!) so I have to go back for xrays today. Neighbor had an orthopedic brace and crutches so she loaned them to me when she took me to urgent care last night. Couldn't cancel my tax appt so still have to hobble into that, too. At least I know how to get up and down stairs from experience. And I'm pretty dang solid on crutches even after all these years. Food will be interesting as now cooking is kinda out of the question. At least I have leftover homemade stir fry from last night for at least one meal today.
02/22 - Apparently I like bouncing between these two numbers a lot! Neighbor (who has been playing mommy) took me out to dinner last night so I know the bump up was from that. I broke my fast early with a fairly large meal (for me) and I'm glad I did, since dinner was the next opportunity to eat. Also had my water bottle full of coffee (since it can be sealed to go in a backpack unlike my coffee mugs) was all I had until about 530... Was stuck in doc's office and no water ): Swelling has gone down, as has bruising (still there, just not as bright/puffy). Haven't really been in pain except occasional random throbbing pain that lasts a few seconds and is gone. Or if I hit it/put any kind of weight on it (if I lose balance I have put my toes down to help regain). Nothing intolerable, just uncomfortable pain. I'm thankful it happened to the leg that I have numbness in from my back because I imagine that's what has been keeping me from feeling the worst of it. I only have 800mg ibuprofen for pain/swelling (I don't need for pain, but take for swelling because I want this to be OVER). Mama taking me to run my errands today since she doesn't want me going it alone. I can, but I appreciate having the company and someone there to help with the more complicated tasks. I am super sad about missing out on yoga, though. And going on walks since this weekend is super nice for February in Kansas.
02/23 - I expected an increase due to my situation, but it still stings. I might try to do some seated exercises just to get more movement in. I'm sure there's something I can do to keep moving a little bit and help keep the weight down. Sad thing is that I barely ate yesterday! Less than normal and still gained because I sat on my butt all day. I think that will be the most frustrating part. I guess abs and arms are going to get a lot more attention these next couple of weeks until I can be more mobile. Sorry for ranting, its all really frustrating. I'm bored out of my mind, too, which isn't helping me. Focusing on water and general movement, moreso than yesterday at least. I am DETERMINED to attack today much more positively than it started out. This could've been like last time I tore everything in my ankle and it took 13 months before I could walk without crutches or a boot, just a small brace. I'm fortunate in that regard. I have a full week of work this week which will get me out of the house and moving a bit more (especially if I go to the gym at work -- plenty to do upper body to stay active). I can still drive and get around, though inconvenient, so I don't need to ruin other's days taking care of me. The pain is very minimal, if any pain at all. I have mobility of my ankle back so it will not heal in an unfavorable position. All good things I am focusing on being thankful for today. If nothing else, my mindset will get me through the slight gain and hopefully help me drop back down! At least I have not popped back up to the 150s and that is my primary goal until I can go back to normal life.
02/24 - I was so stinking hungry yesterday... Today I'm back at work with limited mobility (don't think its very proper to scoot around on my butt between kitchen and living room as I did at home) so limited availability for food. Plus, I only brought so much for lunch. A large portion, but still a portion. Focus on water as I brought my other water bottle which has a handle to carry with. Its rainy and icky out which was not good walking into the office with -- Crutches like to slip and slide ): But I didn't fall and all is good. Isolating myself to my office. Boss planned on being here today and I haven't heard otherwise so lots and lots of sitting for me. I will conquer this and am very happy I've only slightly increased over these last couple of days.
02/25 - Yay, a drop! I'd be very surprised if I drop to or below my starting weight, but I'll be glad if I can keep 146.x tomorrow to end the round. I'm off to the doc, hopefully she will be able to see me quickly to fill out the paperwork so I can send it in today and return to work tomorrow. I will have to leave work early tomorrow to see the Ortho as I finally got an appointment, but hopefully I will find out how long I'm on crutches and in a boot then. I'm rather excited to at least be off crutches, if nothing else.

Last round was pretty successful by getting into the 170’s for the first time in 2020. My lowest weight was in October of 2019 at 176, so I hope to get close to that by Friday. This round, I have my birthday mixed in, which comes with tons of celebrations. I’m hoping not to gain too much!

02/17: 182.4 (I saved all my calories for a party, but I didn’t end up going since I had a lot of stuff to do around the house. So instead, I ate those calories at home! I knew this would happen so I’m not too worried about it. I did a Zumba workout at home yesterday!)
02/18: 181.2 (I had the day off from work yesterday because of the holiday! I cleaned my house and had to get a plumber in to fix my drain in the tub. Other than that I had a normal day! I ate to plan and did my Zumba class at the gym!)
02/19: My birthday! ❤️ 181.2 (boo I maintained! I ate to plan and did a 1 hour kickboxing class at the gym. I know this is because I’m ovulating any day now. I usually gain this week as well as TOM week. Anyway, I’m so happy I get to celebrate tonight with my hubby! I’m making dinner though lol gotta make my Friday weigh in!)
02/20: 181.2 (When my weight is the same like this, I know I’m ovulating. So yes I maintain the weight while doing all the right things. Yesterday I ate well for my bday! The hubby surprised me with chocolate covered strawberries and I made one small one fit into plan. Thanks to all those who wished me a happy bday! On to the next day!)
02/21: 180.4 (I’ve gained 0.6 pounds since last Friday’s official weigh in, but there’s nothing you can do about it when you’re a woman! I had no energy when I got off work yesterday and thankfully I had food cooking in the crockpot all day. I ate to plan and made it a rest day since my body was craving it. I’ll move my workout day to Saturday to compensate. Happy Friday everyone!)
02/22: 182.6 (Yesterday, I had my best friend come over on my off Friday and we watched movies, ate popcorn and pizza and our husbands came over after for a fun game night to celebrate my birthday. It was everything I wanted to do this year! No workout of course, unless you count my hand going from the popcorn bowl to my mouth 😂 I needed a day like that. It’s been a very long time.)
02/23: 186.0 (An expected gain from all the birthday celebrations! Went out with friends to brunch and then had a party at my house for the fight last night. I planned to have this happen over the weekend, so I’m not surprised.)
02/24: 182.4 (I walked a lot yesterday while out with friends to celebrate some more. We went to a drag show and had some bottomless mimosas. Let’s just say that I went a little overboard. Before I went to bed, my tummy did not feel good and I’ll leave it at that lol. It’s crazy that I dropped all that weight. But back to the grind!)
02/25: 182.0 (I did a Zumba class last night and ate to plan! I also was notified yesterday that I got a promotion from my director! It’s a great start to the week!)
02/26: 181.8 (I decided to change my workout plan and do some weight training and spin biking. I made a delicious chicken tortellini soup last night that was so good! I’m kind of hoping for a drop any day now, but maybe I’m holding on to weight from this weekend of eating.)

02/17 160.8 lbs. 1300 calories, only 5000 steps. It's pizza night with friends and I was feeling sorry for myself because my back will not just get out of it's funk and on top of that my 27 year old sewing machine was acting up and my husband and I spent all morning trying to figure it out but declared it needs a time out and I ordered a new one, so I needed a bowl of ice cream.
02/18 160.8 lbs 900 claories, 11,000 steps
02/19 161.4 lbs 1000 calories, 15,200 steps No idea for the gain, back right now, hurts to sit. Breaking down and going to the doctor today. Not happy about having more medical bills. But on the up side my new sewing machine should be here on Friday!
02/20 161.0 lbs 1350 calories, 10,000 steps. I had to take pills when I got home from the doctor with food and ice cream seemed the thing for this pity party. I was hoping to get an MRI but doctor wants to start with Physical Therapy and exercises. I have tried most everything a PT can do and for me this is just a waste of money. I was doing back exercises as my workout routine right up to two weeks ago when this all started. I am so sorry, I sound so negative, just tired of this pain and lack of being able to do what I need to do. I usually IF for 16 hours but now I have to take pills with food in the morning so that is off for a few days.
02/21 161.0lbs 1650 calories, 12,600 steps.
02/22 DNW Kids and grandbabies were here for the weekend plus meds, completely off diet.
02/23 DNW Woke up sick, vomiting, etc. I think from the steroids, spent the whole day in my room. Ugh!
02/24 157.1 lbs still ill.
02/25 157.0 lbs headache, back pain and stomach still a mess, 525 calories, 2000 steps I would love to see this number stay, it's pretty to look at but I am sure once I rehydrate it will go up some but still nice to look at.
02/26 159.0 lbs, 1100 calories, 3000 steps, rehydrated, lower back to neck hurt so bad, the side effects from the steroids are over but also are any of the help they were providing with the back pain. I can't sit, I can't walk, lay down, it hurts no matter what. Rescheduled PT for Thursday, hoping for some sort of relief soon.
Overall 1.6 lbs lost and I made it into the 50's. So a win for the round.6 -

02/18- 160, really? Sigh. I took the kids to the zoo all day and we walked for miles, but we did eat out and it was hard to calculate actual calories. Panera has amazing salads, but then I had a bagel.... LOL
02/19- 156 OK... I know I've been eating better the last 2 days, but that seems like a big drop. Not sure how real it is, but I'll take it.
02/20- 155 rode Frosty yesterday and ran 2 miles this morning in the the dark.
02/21-155- tried to ride frosty, but she was crazy wound. Lunged her and took her for a jog. Out for drinks. Tracking calories daily.
02/22- 157- rode at the indoor today
02/23- 159 WTF? I haven't gone off the rails. I mean I didn't track my calories yesterday, but really?! Rode a sale horse, Frosty and ran 4 miles
02/24- 157 Thank goodness...
02/25- 159 I'm done with this crappy scale. I can make it fluctuate several pounds depending on how I stand on it. I'm buying a digital today on amazon. Recommendations? Ran 2 miles this morning, walked the kid on the pony yesterday, but no real workout.
02/26- 158 Down 1 lbs for the 10 days. Not super happy with this especially because I fluctuated all over the place and I didn't think I was that flaky with my eating. On to the next round.6 -

Day/Weight/Comment
2/17: 145.8 (0) No change from yesterday, which is a win. I was able to get in a big run, with lots of walking and stretching to keep the hip happy. Then we went to Korean Food with friends in town – no idea what we were eating with all the sauces, rice, etc. Sodium had to be off the charts. I assume it will rear its ugly little head tomorrow. 😆But it was fun to see them😎
2/18: 145.4 (-.4) Went to slow flow yoga and then walked with a friend for 3.75 miles. I was sore and tired last night – not sure why. I ate well, tried to work on protein intake and getting enough fiber but my challenge is getting fiber without wrecking my carbs. I am not winning the macro thing!😝
2/19: 145.2 (-.2) Got a run in which felt pretty good. Really pushed the protein today so I hit that macro but of course, went over on the carbs. I have a sweet tooth – either I get it from blueberries or chocolate. Either way, my carbs go up. 🤩
2/20: 145.8 (+.6) I am blaming the Democratic Debate on driving me to drink last night. That was WWF match at its finest! Anyway, today was a run day on the treadmill….I wasn’t motivated but got it done!
2/21:144.8 (-1.0) Due to schedule, did not get all my calories yesterday. Ate later than planned and it was so salty – Amy’s soups are good but too salty. My bad. Glad for a loss but this will not stand as today is the first day in a long time that I cannot workout as I am driving to Houston and back.✌
2/22:144.0 (-.8) What goes down must go up! I will pay for yesterday, tomorrow! Drove to Houston with college daughter, just to keep her company so she could prep on the way for an interview. (I swear I am not a helicopter mom – it’s a 3 hour drive and and she had a 4 hour interview and then a 3 hour drive home – and sleepless college kids – not a good combo IMHO). And the bonus – I got to hang with her which I don’t get to very often even though she goes to college 10 miles away. Anyway, didn’t get to exercise other than walking the outlet mall and the worst part, we stopped at Buc-Cees on the way home! For those of you who don’t know about Buc-Cees – it’s a massive TX-sized “minimart” with all kinds of treats, junk food, etc. I ate a bag of Snappers minis – so good and yet so bad. Then pizza for dinner.😈😈😈😈😈
2/23:143.6(-.4) Tried to stick to the plan yesterday – gym workout, eat healthy. Had 0 energy so was just lazy after the gym. Wasn’t terribly hungry either but managed to eat most of my calories. Got to hold a week old baby boy so that was awesome! Life is precious😘 Today, longer run day and hope hip flexor will not yell at me. Then mexican food with out of town friends. Will need to go easy at dinner.
2/24:144.4 (+.8) Not that surprised with this….eating out is not easy. Had to guess my calories but still ate well under….maybe salt. Yoga day…..Namaste 🙏
2/25:143.6 (-.8) My scale is taking notes from the Stock market…..Don’t know what to believe. But I did not hit my calories yesterday so its probably that. Had a last minute offer to walk with a friend and did 4 miles so earned back some calories. 📉
2/26: 142.6 (-1.0) Well….I am not going to complain. I reset it per the scale instructions so it registered 0 and this is what came up. I have been consistently exercising and eating under calories so who the heck knows. I am trying to focus on averages and how I feel and my macros. And I have a very social weekend with houseguests and parent weekends for college girl so this will change. Happy hump day y’all – see you in Round 106 😘
Round Total: (-3.2) - Best round yet if I choose to believe it. Will focus on the averages.👍

Highest Weight: 400
MFP Start Weight: 285.8 (Jan 7th, 2020)
Round Start Weight: 274.6
Round Goal Weight: 272
My goal for 2020 is to reach One-derland by end of the year. Also, build my strength and endurance while toning my muscles as I'm losing weight.
Day/Weight/Comment:
2/17: 274.6. Hit a plateau for nearly two weeks. Not much loss just grateful it's moving downwards again.
2/18: 272.4 (-2.2) After not losing for awhile it feels really good to be losing again.
2/19: 272.4 (0)
2/20: 272.4 (0)
2/21: 272.4 (0). Scale not moving again. But I'm good with this. My goal for this round was 272 only 4 oz over. Still have 5 days to lose the 4 oz. Lost so far this round
(2.2 lbs). Will adjust calorie amount and increase water intake to see if this will help with getting the weight to start going down again.
2/22: 272.4 (0)
2/23: 272.4 (0)
2/24: 272.4 (0) Still no loss. I'm happy there's no weight gain. I lowered my daily calorie intake and stayed below it. Increase water intake to almost 3 L's yesterday. Making these changes, I was hoping the scale would start showing a loss, but sadly no. I just made these changes yesterday, so there are 2 days left in this round to show a loss. If not I still lost (2.2 lbs) this round which is good.
2/25: 272.4 (-0) 😩
2/26: 272.4 (-0) last day and still stuck at the same weight for most of this week. But I did lose (-2.2 lbs) at beginning of the week. I'm good with that loss.
End of R105 Lost (-2.2 lbs) this round. Maybe I'll get out of the 70's during the next round.. One can only hope. 😊 Wishing everyone the best for R106.9 -
Round 105, 22nd Round for Me
Starting Weight: 277.1 lbs
Goal Weight: 275.1 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
02/17: 279.0 lbs (+1.9) … homemade pizza the night before did me in.
02/18: 279.1 lbs (+0.1) … was home for President’s Day and a bit too snacky. Ate more around maintenance so I didn’t see any recovery from my pizza water weight gain. That’ll come with time (and eating better today).
02/19: 278.1 lbs (-1.0) … ate reasonably yesterday, if not super light.
02/20: 279.4 lbs (+1.3)
02/21: 277.7 lbs (-1.7) … this week feels like a roller coaster.
02/22: 276.4 lbs (-1.3) … pretty happy this morning. This is my first new low since the beginning of the month. Just goes to show what being back on track fully for a couple days can do.
02/23: 275.3 lbs (-1.1) … nice progress these last few days. Hopefully I can hold onto it for the remainder of the round.
02/24: 276.6 lbs (+1.3) … nope.
02/25: 276.2 lbs (-0.4) … ate so light yesterday (890ish calories by 7pm) that I had to go out and eat more. It’s a real sacrifice when you have to go out and indulge in some ice cream.
02/26: 275.4 lbs (-0.8) … nice! I’m very pleased this morning, managing to end a challenge round on a more positive note. Especially for the fact that this loss isn’t a huge whoosh that is likely to be reversed tomorrow in a sizable uptick! I set a goal of -2 lbs per round, but as long as I’m making a decent amount of progress, I’m happy.

2/17 - 179
Gloomy Monday here, but I’m going to a native plant talk this evening — yay!
2/18 - 180.4
Not a big surprise. I haven’t completely expelled the snack monster, though my calories are consistently under maintenance, and I know some of this is salt (Triscuits). Today I start over!
2/19 - 180.6
2/20 - 180.2
2/21 - 180
2/22 - 180
Dinner party tonight at friends’ house, so I’ve had a decent breakfast and will have a light lunch. I still don’t expect any progress tomorrow, but I do look forward to conversation and laughter tonight. Have a great weekend, all!
2/23 - 181
As expected. But it’s okay — I had a lovely time with great friends, and other than a small piece of really good cake, it was healthy food. Onward! I still think I can get back to my start weight for the round by Wed. 🏃🏽♀️
2/24 - 181.4
Yep. I was a bit over my calories goal yesterday, so this is not unexpected. I’ve been having a bit of intestinal distress and some other issues lately, so I’m going to cut out (as much as possible) flour and milk products and see what happens. This all went away last year when I was on a dietician-guided elimination diet. I’m also trying to increase my meditation time to counter stress.
2/25 - 180.6
Okay, yesterday wasn’t too bad. I did have a 7” thin crust veggie pizza for dinner as I was out with a friend, so high sodium, but good over all. I’ve ordered a workbook on intuitive eating to try to figure out why I’ve been sabotaging myself over the past year after working so hard to lose 80# over the previous three. I’d like to be back close to the round start weight by tomorrow. We shall see!
2/26 - 180.2
Okay, didn’t hit my goal. Next round. All is well.

2/17-160-I hit last rounds goal today. It has been wonderful to stay in the 160’s. Now, I’d like to just get into the 150’s and stay a while. I’m going to the gym this morning and walking a bit later. I want to get back into the habit of walking after dinner.
2/18-DNW
2/19-160-Just trying to stay on track.
2/20-164-Light eating Chinese food did this.
2/21-160
2/22-162-Mexican food. I went to rent the “long arm” and I have to pay $18/hr. So I eat before I get there and quilt my rear off. I come home beat. My DH wanted to go visit his 89 y.o. dad in hospital and offered to take me to dinner. Tonight we attend a fundraiser with a heavy dinner. I know I was due to slip down into the 150’s......it will take me till Wednesday to get there....hm.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!💚☕️

2/17 121.0 Moscato on Saturday night was the cause of increase on 2/16. OMAD yesterday and only 1/2 glass of champagne at brunch. Sewing today with Aimee and Amy!
2/18 121.0 Today is my birthday!
2/19 120.0 Red Lobster for OMAD yesterday -certainly not what it used to be. Art quilts and bingo today.
2/20 121.0 Fried chicken last night at bingo.
2/21 120.0 Sweet Tomatoes for lunch today. Live music tonight.
2/22 120.0 After salad for lunch yesterday I made a burger for dinner and after enjoyed pork rind nachos.
2/23 121.5 Tried a new to me Mexican place that everyone raves about. Ate all of the carbs so this increase is not a surprise. Half of my chimi left for today so tomorrow may be up also. 🤷♀️
2/24 122.5 @4AM Awake since 3 with headache. And my belly is mad at me!
2/25 120.5 Met Amy at the gym yesterday, only did treadmill for 30 minutes but better than nothing! Also was asleep by 9:30 and woke at 6:15 this morning!
2/26 121.0 Went to bed early for me, slept well - almost 8 hours!5 -

2/26- 148.8- Ending on this jump up is kind of a bummer. My average is down a tiny bit. I guess I’m set up to start the next round with a nice whoosh. I can celebrate that I stayed under 150 which is great. What the scale doesn’t show is the awesome muscle tone I’m gaining.

02/26: 128 lbs. right back where I started. Which is fine, I suppose, since I’m technically in maintenance AND am trying not to fixate on the number on the scale. I measured my waist this morning and it was down half an inch so I’m doing something right. Maybe I’ve lost fat and gained muscle, that is the plan. My monthly body fat scan is coming up next round, will get a better indication of progress with that.
Hope you have all had a great 10 days!

02/21 199.4 yay! Told myself not to weigh for 72 hours to wash any sodium out but I felt slimmer and couldn’t resist. Nearly 3 pound loss, very happy that my focus on habits (track, exercise, journal, sleep 6+ hours) paid off.
02/22 197.2 🥳🥳🥳 Not only did I lose another 2 pounds, I passed my first goal weight!!! I know this dip won’t stay—yesterday my stomach hurt so I didn’t eat a lot. I’m sure I’ll go up tomorrow (more likely Monday because I won’t weigh in tomorrow if we overnight at the boat). But yesterday I hadn’t really processed that I had crossed the 200 mark...and today it was a big pause for me to realize I need a new goal!
02/23 196.8 Can’t believe I’m still losing, but I’ll take it!
02/24 196.4 I love the trend but I’m not fully believing in it. Waiting for the pop back up. I mean I had a cheeseburger yesterday! But I ate in my calories still. I think my body definitely likes the higher calorie target + it’s just about that TOM. I often lose just before so this particular loss is probably due to that.
02/25 196.6 no big bounce up yet, I’ll take it. On the other hand I did not eat all my calories yesterday due to lots of stomach upset. Hopefully just a hormonal issue.
02/26 197.0 another increase, not too much, hopefully that ends today and I am at most neutral for the next few days. I did feel bloated and heavier—and I had much poorer sleep. Hopefully a better day tomorrow!

EW Round 104: 107.8, BF% 25.4
Day/Weight/Comment
02/17 OoT DNW
02/18 108.2, BF 25.6% Up 0.4 from Friday, so actually pretty good given eating out over the long weekend and a couple of rest days thrown in! Back to gym today for weights and cycle later.
02/19 107.0, BF 25.2% Yeah headed back down below 108 and below last recorded weight from last round - probably lots of water as cycle studio had no AC yesterday evening and sweated bullets it was so hot! Even the walls were sweating from the humidity from everyone’s perspiration! Calories were good - even had room for dark chocolate :-)
02/20 107.0, BF 25.2% Yes!!! No gain is a win!!! (ate back some exercise calories yesterday + sodium so nice to hold steady). Today is strength day (am) and then cardio in evening assuming that the forecast snow does not lead to the uni gym closing early ! the university is the last to close in the event of inclement weather as students are primarily on campus and as long as there is no freezing rain/sleet should be OK to drive/walk. Happy Scale thinks it will be 9 weeks for the next 2 pounds. OK with that if that is accompanied by loss of body fat! NSV: Have lost another half inch in waist and an inch in chest (below breasts). No change in hips, but lost more fat there earlier - Waist, belly below belly button, and thighs are all areas where I am still holding on to fat. While I can’t spot reduce fat, I can target muscle growth so working on core is one way to improve the appearance of abs/belly. Vertical anti-rotation shoulder press with the cable machine (and other cable exercises) have been great for strengthening abs/obliques and filling out muscle underneath the loose stomach skin as fat decreases (without doing a million crunches)!
02/21 106.4, BF 25.1% Woot! A new low! ‘Course this is Friday, so knowing my eating patterns (eat/drink some of the banked calories from the week) I will likely bounce up a bit, but hoping to hang out in the 106’s in the next coming weeks.
02/22 107.4, BF 25.4 Pizza! Nuf said for sodium bomb. Wait it out until Monday...
02/23 108.4, BF 25.6% and the weekend bump continues… busy day with twins 13th B’day party today so did not get my usual cycle class in this morning, and had a slice of pizza and a cupcake at the B’day party (def over on carbs for the day). I did manage to get to the gym for a strength workout before dinner.
02/24 109.2, BF 25.9% Pizza and cupcake carb loading after effects I suppose - did feel great in spin class this morning and ran/walked 1.5 miles so hoping the carbs had some benefit!!! Kids wanted to do a meatless monday dinner, so need to be careful that it is not too carb heavy to get back on track! Couple more days to get back to round starting weight! If it is water retention with excess carbs, it should come off pretty quickly! On the downside - happy scale now thinks it will be over a year to get to goal of 105; on the bright side an older guy at the gym asked whether I was a boxer! Will take the NSV over the scale!
02/25 108.6, BF 25.7% On the way back down. Exercise and calories are good, so just have to be patient! And at this point NSVs (increasing strength, clothing fit, mirror) are more important than the scale! Did reach a new PR on deadlifts of 130 today!
02/26 107.6, BF 25.4% And almost back to low of round, but at least below starting point for the round and in the 107’s!!! Definitely sore today so some DOMS (and disrupted sleep). Back for next round tp work on this stubborn 2.6 pounds to go!

02/17 - 368.4 - A minor bounce back after a significant drop. Not a problem! Still on the downward trajectory. And a second day on the eliptical for 45 minutes. MFP says 1124 calories burned. I suspect it is only about a 1/3 of that... although still a decent aerobic workout.
02/18 - 368.2 - right direction again. Didn't make it to the gym yet since interview is early this afternoon. Slightly nervous/stressed.
02/19 - 366.6 - Got to the gym this morning. Feel pretty energized. Interview went well yesterday, but still applying to others. DTA (don't trust anyone). Never count on any promises. #cynical
02/20 - 369.6 - Not concerned about the uptick. Didn't go to the gym this morning, but out for a short walk. Trying to get a focus on kettlebell and weights.
02/21 - 370.2 - Not sure why the uptick again. Each time I checked the scale, it said I was gaining. But I hadn't had anything except for one cup of coffee. Weird
02/22 - 369.8 - Finally back in the right direction.
02/23 - 368.6 - And away we go... again. Found a tasty way to drink the apple cider vinegar, with added ingredients. Not nearly as bitter.
02/24 - 368.2 - A drop w/out going to the gym... yet. Heading over after lunch. I seem to always have trouble on Sunday nite, into Monday morning.
02/25 - 364.6 - Big drop. Added ACV to my daily routine. 2x daily, before first meal and after 8PM. Now to add in weights/kettlebell.
02/26 - 365.0 - Small uptick, considering such a dramatic drop yesterday. I haven't gone to the gym yet and also didn't take the ACV last nite or this morning. Maybe I can regulate the weight loss rate by taking it?

General goal is to maintain below 150, and trend slowly downward to 145.
Looking forward:
- February: I need to focus on getting back to where I was pre-Christmas
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Back Story:2018:2020
My goal was to get down below 160, to allow me to enjoy the indulgences of holidays and celebrations.
2019
I exceeded that and have been below 150 for most of the last 2 months.
In 2018, I put on 10 lbs over the last 2 months of the year.
In 2019, I consistently lost weight since the end of July. I put on about 4lbs over the Christmas break, but was still below my original 2019 goal.
That's a WIN in my book!
I need this more than ever now that I am in maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Day/Weight/Comment
02/17 – 169.2 – A little drop and all goals met – good start. Took advantage of the milder weather and Monday holiday to get out and walk on the beach with my grandsons. It was a little too chilly to put our feet in, but we all enjoyed exploring the tidepools and climbing on the rocks. We had lunch out, but I stayed under my calorie limit with lighter meals the rest of the day.
02/18 – 169.2 – Up too late catching up on work, but I still managed to rally and get to the gym after class.
02/19 – 168.6. – Met my first 3 goals but didn’t get much work done.
02/20 – 168.2 – Goals met.
02/21 – 168.4 – Rest day. Time to seriously attack those chores! I got a good bit done and managed stay under my calorie limit even with wine and chocolate after dinner.
02/22 – 168.4
02/23 – 169.0 – No surprise. Lunch out and late dinner at my mom’s (with wine and dessert) put me way over both calorie and sodium limits yesterday. Mardi Gras brunch (with mimosas) did me in today. I did get to walk for an hour at the beach, but still came in over calories. I’ll be back on track tomorrow.
02/24 – 169.8 – Weekend bounce. But I got to the gym, drank plenty of water, and kept to my calorie limit today. Hope to be on the way back down tomorrow.
02/25 – 170.2 – More weekend consequences, I suppose. I’m a bit disappointed, but I’m not going to get down on myself. I’ve done well most of this round and I got right back on track with calories and exercise on Monday. Still, with the smaller deficit I have now that I’ve reset my goals, I have less wiggle room for weekend indulgences – something to keep in mind as I go forward.
02/26 – 170.0 – It is what it is. Met my goals today, so I know the scale will eventually catch up. Pilates is getting easier, and my cardio workouts are getting longer and more intense. Happy with the NSVs this round and ready for the next one.

OSW 382.0

2/17 – 257.2
2/18 – 257.4
2/19 – 257.8 I honestly don’t know and it’s a little frustrating. I’m just going to stay on track and hope for the best. Though I am considering getting into a fitness routine verses the whatever, whenever I’ve been doing for a while. I’m also considering a new meal plan, if I can get my diary to work to see how the calories work out. It’s not too different from what I do now, but adds in more fruits and vegetables, the later of which is often lacking for me.
2/20 – 257.4 After arriving late last month tom has decided to arrive early this month. At least I finally know what’s been causing the stall. At least I hope that’s it. As tom progresses and goes I hope to see new lows.
2/21 – 256.2 Back in the right direction.
2/22 – 254.4 I went out to lunch with my husband yesterday but stayed well within my calories and plan. Since I was driving around a bit to get errands done, I got an activity rest day that was needed.
2/23 – 254.8 I’m not surprised to have a minor bounce after such a big drop. It’s pretty normal for me.
2/24 – 256.0 I’m hopeful this will be temporary. I took a fall last night, I’ll be okay, nothing is broken, but I am sore all over today. Because the fall was right before I was going to make dinner my husband ordered in pizza. I stayed almost within maintenance, but the pizza plus the swelling in several places bounced me up. Today I’m going to be taking things easy and mostly resting.
2/25 – 258.2 I ate near maintenance again because I was just so hungry. I was warned that might happen for a few days while I heal up. I spent most of yesterday in bed because I just didn’t feel like being up and felt generally horrible. On the plus side my head is feeling much better today, plus some of the swelling is down. I’m hopeful of being back up to full strength soon.
2/26 – 259.0
