What are some of the ways you'll test a guy to see if he's interested?
I don’t purposely test anyone but a good measure of his interest is if he makes the first moves. I expect a guy who is really interested to call me every day. If he doesn’t, we won’t continue dating. I need a guy to show me he is very interested.5 -
My two cents....
Women spend a lot of money on clothes, cosmetics, haircare etc.
The cost of a night out should be the guys responsibility & the expenses of dating kind of even out in the end.13 -

You said previously that you’re a talker on the phone - this is rare in this day and age - so do you drop this knowledge on. First date and he should pick up on it - or are you ok with a good morning text every day until he’s fully aware of your preference of phone conversation?0 -

Ask him. I'm one of those that has always made the first moves.1 -
Ladies of mfp
How do you feel about traditional gender roles - should the man pay for everything all the time ? Should it be a 50/50 split -
My bf generally pays for everything when we go out. But he would do the same for friends. He is THAT guy. I took him out for dinner, and I could see it in his face that he was trying SO hard not to grab the bill from me. lol
I like the old-fashioned guy that pays the check, opens doors, holds out the chair, helps me take my coat off and put it on.... and he does all those things. But if I am taking him out, he knows he is not allowed to touch the check. But I have to make it clear early on that it's "my treat". haha
I kinda think you just work out what works best for you as a couple. As long as the communication is solid in this, it's all good.6 -

Online... Sometimes I will purposely let you be the last one to text that day... And wait to see if you text first in the morning... 🙈😂
If so... 🎣😏
BAHAHAHA
I have done this too.....1 -

Ooof, "test?" Not a fan of that approach. At. All.
If we're engaged in convo and I feel he's getting flirty, I ask if he has a girlfriend/spouse/partner at least two times in the convo (and at least two different ways).
I'm not about ruining anyone's family life nor do I want to be a "unicorn."4 -

Up front, yeah, the guys always pays.
That being said, that first date doesn't need to be dinner at 'Tavern on the Green', it can instead be something pretty low key and affordable.
If the relationship moves forward and the lady ( Laaaaadeee !!!!! ) wants to pick up a tab or chip-in, no worries there.6 -

Why can't you ever get ready ON TIME?

Agreed - I always pick up the check on a first date regardless if it’s drinks or dinner or even if we went somewhere after - seems most are on the same page here2 -

Whoa my dude, when your beauty routine has 12473 moving parts to it, you can tell me how long to take getting ready. I wag my perfect eyebrows at you, sir.
And just like wizards, a woman arrives precisely when she means to.
JK I'm usually doing my lipstick in the car.4 -

I was going to say rainbow toe socks, but I can't make myself do it... no socks with slides. Or sandals.
Ladies: Would you love men to get pedicures more often/at all?0 -
Okay - as a male cyclist (i.e. road riding in a pack at 35mph) I do wear spandex shorts and the jersey - sometimes of my favorite team (T-Mobile, Rabbobank et al) and sometimes just blank stuff. The wife hates it and would rather me wear regular shorts. Honestly I cannot wear regular shorts as chafing occurs and the boys don't do well after 15 min of riding.
what are others thoughts? I see women in kit and think nothing of it. I see men in kit and think nothing of it,,, what do you think of it?

Guys - do you want us to pick the restaurant, or do you really mean "whatever you want."3
