▪8/06- 197 - (We•1:30, 7:30, 9pm~18.5hrs) 108g carbs. A couple of high stress days that I have not experienced in 3 months.
I have not been tracking my weight. It's certainly inceased, but I refuse to worry about it. I still weigh my food, record my carbs and I continue to do intermittent fasting. When I am ready to stop eating excess carbs my weight will decrease.

Day/Weight/Comment
8/5: 198.8 re starting this journey post baby trying to get back to where I was physically and mentally before baby. Not going to be as easy this time around. Working full time. 3 kids at home, one a new born. School from home for my other two kids. Was a lot easier not to eat as bad when I was running around more to get the kids to school and their activities. Going to the gym while they were gone instead of sitting on the couch all day watching re runs eating chips because i am bored. But I’m determined and I will succeed!
8/6: 197.4 (-1.4) well thats a nice start. I super over ate for dinner. But it was my favorite meal and wasn’t too bad calories wise. A lot of protein. (Flank steak marinated lettuce wraps). I made it on my walk. Didn’t do my workout but that’s ok. My goal is light workout every other day and walk daily.

Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

I'm in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. Recovered from back surgery then hip surgery!! Got back to walking then I sprained my ankle. UGH! hurt! I was down for 6 weeks with the ankle.
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

Newbie here! Starting late, I hope it’s okay. Inches and pounds creeping up with no mercy. Attempting to be more mindful of my emotions and the emotional eating that comes with it. My goal is to water fast a few days, juice and return to eating whole food, instead of indulging in sweets. Hopefully we can keep each other accountable and reach our goals. Thanks in advance for the support!

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 122 (round 54 for me ) I'm in for another round (of course!) – I need to just keep going! As always, thank you @GrandmaJackie such a champion particularly in these unprecedented & unsettled times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Goal for this round – I really need to take myself in hand and get a move on, these extra pounds are settling on me too easily and I don't like it; but I've only got myself to blame. So I need to try to lose 1.5 pounds ! Our bathroom is being refurbished now for the next 3 weeks; miles will be more difficult to achieve whilst the workmen are here, but I'll try to get an hour or so in before they arrive and then some in the evening around commitments with MIL care. I know I've said it before , but I need to get back to & stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, really want to keep the 10 days binge free!End of round 69 134.2 lbsKeep calm – we're all in this together! Wash hands, be kind and follow all latest Government guidelines for C-19 virus.

08/05: 158.2No fun to see one more pound than expected. But it is what it is. Will not lament. Goals are no alcohol during the week, increase water, log everything and increase exercises (back pain minding)!Good logging everyone!!!
08/06: 157. 4 Happy to see a drop! I know all about water drops, which could be this, but it motivates, so I'll take it!
08/07: 157.2 Tougher day… I kept within calorie goal, but man was I hungry! Sore from increasing my walks the day before, lots of back pain so I didn’t get my steps but did my yoga. But still nice to see a drop, as little as it may be.

🌾🎍🌵🌴🌳🏖🎡⛱🌳🌴🌵🎍🌾
Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
August focus: improving stamina, strength, flexibility, which may impact the scale
Aims:
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅JGM10D ~|~ Round 122 🔹Posting weight and comments each evening.

That's a WIN in my book!

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
7 -
@GrandmaJackie Don't be so hard on yourself. Just over half a lb is hardly a spike. It's a minor fluctuation equivalent to a glass of water. You're doing fine.5

08/06 - 201.8 - Going in the right direction! I didn't log perfectly and snacked a LOT, but I chose healthier snacks. I told myself that I wasn't going to exercise yesterday, but I got out and walked 4 miles yesterday. The goal for today is to stay on track, drink 100 oz of water, and go for a run.
08/07 - 201.6 - It's not much, but its something! I had a tough day yesterday and didn't eat as well as I intended. I also took a day off from exercising. I plan on going for a long walk with my dog today and a bike ride this evening. Hopefully, I can stick to my planned food today.

About me:I love learning about food and everything about it; from the way it acts in the body to learning to cook a new recipe. I went to school for nutrition (got my bachelor's) but I didn’t become an RD because it didn’t feel like the path for me. I guess I wanted to keep it as more of an interest instead of a career. I then went into public health to further my education and I currently help medically complex patients by connecting them with community resources to improve their health and life. I enjoy helping family and friends when they ask for advice related to food and nutrition. Plus, it helps me brush up on what I spent so much time learning!Previous days’ entries
I’m here because when I’m not paying attention to what I eat, I start to gain and feel uncomfortable in my body. For me that results in frustration and a lot of other emotions. It has also increased my cholesterol in the past (It’s good now as far as I know thanks to diet and exercise). I have a family history of diabetes, heart disease, and all that fun stuff. So, I want to prevent that for myself by getting a hold of my food habits now.
I’m always open to conversation about food and nutrition, so feel free to reach out to me!
08/05 114.8 Sweet 😊. I went for a really nice but sleep deprived walk this morning around 6 to destress, after waking up at 1:30 this morning to find out my mother in law was heading to the ER (heard abnormal footsteps upstairs and checked on in laws to make sure everything was okay.). She’s stable but weak. Hoping they can get some TPN going to get some nutrition in her.
On the bright side, it is was a nice afternoon yesterday and I realized how much I’m used the sweetness of fruit versus candy. After having my soft serve ice cream with Reese’s peanut butter cups and cookie dough mixed in, I was only able to get through about 2/3 of the cup before it became sickeningly sweet. I feel like I could live without ice cream for a while after having that yesterday.
Baking some chicken legs drizzled with a basil chimichurri tonight for dinner with some CSA veggies on the side. Looking forward to it!
Have a good day everyone!
08/06 115.0 Had a much better night sleep last night. Went for another great walk this moring and snuck a couple miles of running mixed in. The running made me realize how much my body detests me running on pavement though. I think I’ll stick to the grass for running.
Last night’s roasted chicken legs came out yummy! The side salad of zucchini ribbons with tomatoes on top was pretty tasty mixed with the basil chimichurri sauce. My husband doesn’t really like summer squashes but when I make them into ribbons, they are tolerable for him. So that worked out well.
For dinner tonight I think I’ll be making a burger of some sort 😊. Looking forward to it with roasted or grilled eggplant as a side!
Creeping into another phase of my cycle, so I have a feeling my weight will just be stable or blip up over the next 5ish days. I highly recommend people track their weight with their cycle, it’s been fascinating for me to be able to compare from each month when I blip up and then coast back down. I’m realizing so much more now about how my body reacts to the phases and even certain foods I eat during each phase (sodium mostly).
08/07 114.6 Sleepy this morning and feeling a bit fatigued from my approaching next phase. We did a slower modified soccer workout this morning because we were both feeling the events of the week as well.
I plan on eating at maintenance today because I feel like I just need the extra calories at the moment.
Dinner was good last night. I made burgers on the grill with our csa ground beef which is super lean. I had a bunless one because we only had one roll left and I offered it to my husband. We each had a slice of pepperjack cheese on the burgers. He had fries on the side. I grilled eggplant (he doesn’t care for eggplant) for me and had a small portion of fries. It was a solid dinner because I made the burgers about 8oz.
For dinner tonight I want to make a peanut sauce and mix it with ground white turkey meat and put it on top of brown rice and shredded zucchini. Then I’ll make a cucumber salad with rice wine vinegar and a touch of the peanut sauce mixed in with it.
I know this is a long-winded post, but I’m also excited that the clothes I bought online arrived, and they all fit/look nice! I also dropped a dress size in my jeans! So, that was a nice NSV yesterday. Have a good day! 😊
