Started to add back in exercise calories this week after finding myself exhausted end of day as the result of having a 1200 to 1500 calorie deficit per day. Still trying to keep around a 500 calorie deficit per day. Walking 12KM (7.4Miles) per day now.11 -

Yay! I was at 59.3kg all week so itโs nice it chose today to drop. ๐ I havenโt been within my calories for weeks, and I finally was this week, and it seems to have worked (unsurprisingly!). For context, I am trying to lose slowly, so my calories are set for maintenance (combined with my Fitbit) knowing that I tend to lose on maintenance calories. But it means any going over leaves me in actual maintenance rather than loss. I know I can lose quickly, if I wanted to, but having become anaemic for the first time when I did that, Iโd rather not!
So my nice simple goal for the coming week is to stay within my calories. Fingers crossed that life doesnโt make that particularly tricky this week.8 -

Eating: I am on ALTERNATE DAY FASTING since April 9 with 2000 kcal on non-fasting days (home-made food; a small ice cream of 102 kcal is the only โnot so goodโ choice; a couple of non-alcoholic beers during the weekend). On fasting days: 2 cups of home-made chicken broth (lunch and dinner) and sometimes 2 dates (after evening exercises) โ approx. 150 kcal total; coffee, tea and water as much as I need.
Exercises: Planks 6 times a week; Walking or jogging minimum 5 days/week; Strength exercises โ have to increase

If it's hard to do, then by all means consider other options to keep in deficit. Give yourself a few weeks, and if it's still tough, shift to another way to maintain that deficit, because you will do best if you find a way of eating that you can continue after you get to your goal weight. If you go back to "the way you used to eat," you'll get to "where you used to be." You might also just make sure to feed yourself enough because over two pounds a week is probably not a sustainable rate with as little as you have left to lose. You might try to set a goal of a half pound a week which is only a 250 calorie deficit per day rather than 1000 calories a day to lose two pounds a week.5 -
