@RetiredAndLovingIt Why do you not use your food scale when DD & gkids are there? You are taking care of yourself for them. They should know that you are doing it so you will be around for them in the future. JMHO

@schmoyew I would suggest that something in the BBQ is causing you to retain water. I know I can count on a gain when I eat gyro meat because whatever they add to the meat has carbs. Add 1/4 of a pita and more carbs - happens EVERY TIME.

7/6 Hi everyone! We got back from vacation on Saturday night, and we had a great time. We did a lot of walking and playing in the Virginia Beach waves. We were near the surfing part of the beach which was fun to watch too! My food choices were pretty decent but I definitely indulged a lot too! I’ll be picking up my CSA today and getting a double amount for the week I missed. So, I’m looking forward to stuffing myself full of veggies over the next week and a half. I didn’t do any running on vacation but we probably walked anywhere from 3-5 or more miles a day. I ran yesterday though and had great times, so that was encouraging as well. Now I’m off to go hang out with my friend who recently had a baby and bring her some healthy goodies for use to nibble on all day. Have a lovely day!
Ps. I also have an interview tomorrow, so I’m excited about that!

@playhardkf2017 Best of luck on your interview!

@_JeffreyD_ Great name for a boat. Do you not eat Bass because of.a personal catch & release policy or because they are not your favorite fish to eat?
Redfish and Trout are both sport fish down here ... I like to eat Trout more than Redfish so if given the chance I keep the Trout. But at this time the Trout are limited so we are basically catch & release on them ... though we caught very little this weekend. Turned into mostly casting wearing our arms out and watching the clouds.
DH has a personal boat limit of 5 ... he doesn't like to clean more than that LOL so TPWD can claim that we can keep 5 per person but not in our boat!

@Lilylady3k My two main fishing species are bass and crappies. I have more than enough crappies in the freezer, and they taste better than bass. Bass is more of a sport fish for me, so I like to let them go and catch them again. Such a great fight!

When I fish in southern Florida on vacation, we catch some speckled trout in season and that tastes very good. The red drum tastes pretty good to me too but not as good as the trout. I fish with a guide in the Florida Everglades, and he cleans them. Ha ha ha.

My electric filet knife takes care of the crappies in short order. Good thing because those usually come by the basket full when they are biting.

@_JeffreyD_ Redfish are good eating but you have to know how to clean them. Get the bloodline out and they do not have a gamey taste. You end up with really big white meat fillets that are great for grilling or any other prepared method.
Yep when we fish Florida Keys the guides do the cleaning which is "sweet"! So many great fish stories down there :)
