Hi, I am in for another cycle. Thanks for starting this again.
STARTING WEIGHT/DATE WITH MFP: about 175 on 8/19/12 (been here a long time, lol, but kinda off & on)
Lost about 25 pounds, then pretty much maintaining, up a little, down a little, but would like to lose another 15 or so.
Ended last challenge at end of Aug. at 151.94# & didn't weigh for the month of Sept. I felt like daily weighing was getting to me, so tried not weighing for a month. Seemed to pretty much maintain, but now I am ready to get to a healthy weight.
Challenge starting weight: 152.07
I weigh every day & average them on Monday, so my numbers are the weekly average.
My goal for this cycle will be 5# (I amended this a bit, as I felt I was being too aggressive)
Oct. 4= 152.07
Oct. 11= 151.4
Oct. 18= DNW at dd's house & no scale
Oct. 25= 152.56
Oct. loss= +.49
Oct. average weight= 152.01
Nov. 1= 150.757 -

So, no stats for this week. Saturday is my weigh day, but my scale decided it couldn't make up its mind and fluctuated a LOT, giving me numbers in a range of 8 lbs; so no weight for this week. That's okay, I took a peek during the week and I think I gained ( ). Gives me something to think about since I did go calorie red several days (but not terrible) and exercised a lot more than the week before. I noticed that I exercised late in the day last week. So this week, I'll work harder on paying attention to my choices, and getting it DOWN; trying to exercise before I eat. Exercising early in the morning, while ideal, is not possible for me because of the quiet hour restrictions in our building. So I'll do what I can!
Don't give up!
P.S. I seriously think my scale has an attitude sometimes. The problem is really a combination of how it weighs using feet and the fact that there isn't a single hard, flat, even surface in our apartment. So I scooch it around to make sure it's really sure of itself. Most of the time it is satisfied with its answer, but some days it can vary a huge amount.4 -
@MrsHermit - congrats on the trend down! You are working hard and physical scale wrestling should not be another chore.
As for the hard flat surface, may I suggest shower/bath tub? I think it’s a requirement for them to be leveled perfectly horizontal.
Just make sure the scale stays dry and good luck with this adventure to better health!2 -

Thank you. I think I gained last week, but the week before tells me that I'm close to figuring this thing out on how to really start getting healthy.
We actually have "laminate" (cheap! cheap!) flooring in a few spots, but it has some sort of cushion underneath it = dents from every little thing.
I didn't think about using the tub/shower stall. I'll see if I can make that work.
@jenkindo I'm sorry about the stressful weeks. Take care of yourself. I'm trying to set a small goal to help myself with bedtime. It won't help with the other drama stress, but at least it's something. Do you have a hobby you can destress with? I hope something happens this week to cheer you up.

Thank you for the kind words. I am trying to be gentle with myself. Going to bed isn't too bad. I'm exhausted by bed time. My problem is I keep waking up in the middle of the night, then my brain starts going and I lay awake for an hour or 2. I'm going to a weight training class this evening so hopefully that burns off some of the anxious energy. Just need to find something to stop my brain from spinning out when I wake up.5 -
