    So, no stats for this week. Saturday is my weigh day, but my scale decided it couldn't make up its mind and fluctuated a LOT, giving me numbers in a range of 8 lbs; so no weight for this week. That's okay, I took a peek during the week and I think I gained ( :cry: ). Gives me something to think about since I did go calorie red several days (but not terrible) and exercised a lot more than the week before. I noticed that I exercised late in the day last week. So this week, I'll work harder on paying attention to my choices, and getting it DOWN; trying to exercise before I eat. Exercising early in the morning, while ideal, is not possible for me because of the quiet hour restrictions in our building. So I'll do what I can!

    Don't give up!

    P.S. I seriously think my scale has an attitude sometimes. The problem is really a combination of how it weighs using feet and the fact that there isn't a single hard, flat, even surface in our apartment. So I scooch it around to make sure it's really sure of itself. Most of the time it is satisfied with its answer, but some days it can vary a huge amount.

    @MrsHermit - congrats on the trend down! You are working hard and physical scale wrestling should not be another chore.
    As for the hard flat surface, may I suggest shower/bath tub? I think it’s a requirement for them to be leveled perfectly horizontal.
    Just make sure the scale stays dry and good luck with this adventure to better health!

    Hi, I am in for another cycle. Thanks for starting this again.

    STARTING WEIGHT/DATE WITH MFP: about 175 on 8/19/12 (been here a long time, lol, but kinda off & on)
    Lost about 25 pounds, then pretty much maintaining, up a little, down a little, but would like to lose another 15 or so.
    Ended last challenge at end of Aug. at 151.94# & didn't weigh for the month of Sept. I felt like daily weighing was getting to me, so tried not weighing for a month. Seemed to pretty much maintain, but now I am ready to get to a healthy weight.

    Challenge starting weight: 152.07
    I weigh every day & average them on Monday, so my numbers are the weekly average.
    My goal for this cycle will be 5# (I amended this a bit, as I felt I was being too aggressive)
    Oct. 4= 152.07
    Oct. 11= 151.4
    Oct. 18= DNW at dd's house & no scale
    Oct. 25= 152.56

    Oct. loss= +.49
    Oct. average weight= 152.01

    Nov. 1= 150.75

    My name is Donna. I am 61 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, a touch of high blood pressure, some osteoporosis and am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.

    I TRY TO WEIGH ON THE 1ST AND LAST DAY OF EACH MONTH ALSO. I HAVE MADE THE GOAL OF LOSING A LITTLE MORE IN SEPT AND OCT AND KEEPING IT A LITTLE LESS THROUGH THE NOV AND DEC HOLIDAYS (AND BAKING SEASON.) I THINK THAT 15 POUNDS OVERALL IS A MORE REALISTIC GOAL FOR ME ESPECIALLY SINCE I LIVE IN A VERY SNOWY AND ICY AREA AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND EXERCISE ARE DIFFICULT AFTER OCTOBER 1ST. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I GET AND STAY AT A HEALTHY WEIGHT DUE TO HEALTH REASONS I WILL SHARE ALONG THE WAY. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I AM ROOTING FOR YOU AND SUPPORTING YOU ALL 100% WE CAN DO THIS!

    [b][b][color= lime]Sept 09: [/b][/b][/color= lime] 188.8 (Trend Weight: 187.9) Wow. Emotional eating still packs on the pounds, even if it doesn’t seem fair. A very traumatic death this week in my extended family, my own health scares, plenty of travel and a well that stops pumping water. There is more, but I think you get it. But we all know that eating with all caution to the wind solves nothing, right? Traveling today but I hope to get in more movement and less food in the coming week. I’m not perfect, folks, but I’m determined. I am happy to meet you all! 

    [b][b][color= lime]Sept 16: [/b][/b][/color= lime] 185.2 (Trend Weight: 187.8) A good day yesterday. More windows cleaned and I’m almost done with that calorie burning project. Travel today.  Clearly I won’t make goal this month but turning this ship around as fast as I can after an emotional gain. [b][b][color= lime]Sept 23: [/b][/b][/color= lime] 187.6 Horrible week for me. Meals have been kept good but the snacks are killing me and the lack of exercise is not good. Lots of reasons for the lack of movement (too many to even mention) but I’ve got to get creative in my situations and make some extra movement happen! More travel today. Ugh!

    [b][b][color= fuchsia] Oct 07: [/b][/b][/color= fuchsia] 185.6 Much better! I worked harder at my dietary choices, even if I was in the green. In this upcoming week, I hope to monitor how which foods are affecting me and the scale, even when I’m within my goals. I hope to learn a little more about how my body responds.

    [b][b][color= fuchsia] Oct  21: [/b][/b][/color= fuchsia] 185.2…..(Trend Weight 186.6)…..Travel today to the university hospital. 4 hours each way. I will be gone until Saturday night having surgery that is breast cancer related (I’m in remission). It’s a health scare that is being immediately taken care of. My pre-op EKG did not turn up so good. I may have a blockage. I will share more later as time allows. Surgery is 6:15 am until about 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (Friday). Thanks in advance for the prayers, good vibes and well-wishes. I appreciate you all. Keep going folks!
